Here’s another update following up from our recent feature on the LEGO Ninjago Sons of Garmadon Zane Pod (5005230). The Ninjago line isn’t the only one getting some character pod love lately, especially in light of the New Year. Another LEGO label with a new pod coming is LEGO Friends.
Humongous play sets aren’t the only thing in store for 2018 with LEGO’s hip girls-oriented product line. They’ve also got some compact goodies in store. Take for instance this upcoming polybag, LEGO Friends Clubhouse Pod (5005236). It’s filled with plenty of props, a LEGO Friends minifigure and even a pet.
Featured in the Clubhouse Pod (5005236) is sporty Stephanie in the characteristic LEGO Friends minifigure type: larger and more detailed. As is her type, our athletic blonde in the circle of Friends is dressed in simple active-wear, with a shirt for their hometown of Heartlake City, plus skirt and shoes.
Stephanie isn’t all alone in her pod (500526) however; she’s also got her pet hamster figure along for the ride. The other half of the pod is stocked with “mission gear” props not just for her, but for all of the LEGO Friends, almost all featuring grips for minifigure handling.
From a GPS pad to binoculars, Stephanie’s Clubhouse Pod (5005236) is a welcome add-on for any of the large LEGO Friends sets that don’t have her among the included minifigures. She and her collection of gadgets simply bring more fun. Since official images of this polybag, along those with LEGO Ninjago have already surfaced, we can fairly say that this new LEGO Friends polybag may be expected to arrive in stores in the next few weeks.
Over the weekend we got word about a new LEGO Pod featuring Zane from LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu – Sons of Garmadon (5005230). Needless to say, LEGO has a whole lot more where that came from in terms of brand new LEGO Ninjago stuff set to come out this 2018.
Case in point, we now have two more polybags in the LEGO Ninjago line for avid collectors to snap up. One is a standard play set with two minifigures, a mini-structure, and props galore. The other is a set that the player directly interacts with.
As reported by The Brick Fan, the first is the LEGO Ninjago WU-CRU Target Training (30530) which is a fairly basic set featuring characters Lloyd Garmadon and Nya in WU-CRU garb, practicing target training. It bears a close resemblance to the LEGO Ninjago WU-CRU Traning Dojo (30424) polybag released in 2016. The target’s a dartboard suspended in a Japanese mon/gate frame that they’re trying to hit with shuriken, though they’ve also got a spear and sword to spar with. It is also interesting to note that having Nya and Lloyd in this particular polybag now completes the ninja’s roster in their new training garb: with Kai in Kai’s Dojo Pod (5004916), Zane in Zane’s Kendo Training Pod (5005230), and Jay and Cole in their black outfits with Jay (853758) and Cole (853759) Dojo Pods.
Next up is the LEGO Ninjago Training Kit (5005231) set. As stated earlier, it’s unique in that the LEGO player himself actually manipulates the set as part of Ninjago training. From the polybag illustration, it seems to involve stacking bricks of different shapes and sizes.
From a certain point of view the whole exercise looks like a round of LEGO Jenga with a Ninjago twist. After all, the player in the illustration was doing his stacking with a pair of chopsticks. Also included are a Lord Garmadon mini-standee and a shuriken, probably the standee’s base.
They’re due to come out anytime soon, so it won’t be long until we get down to the finer details of both; we hope you’ll stick around here at The Brick Show.
If you recall, we previously reported on a new LEGO City polybag that was spotted in Spain’s First LEGO Certified Store last December. The LEGO City Become My City Hero (40302) polybag went for sale at the said LCS, retailing for 4.99 Euros. As it seems, it is an add-on for LEGO City’s more recent Mountain Police subtheme. Now that we have its official image, we can now take a look at the finer details of this latest LEGO City polybag. Check this out.
polybagThis comes in at approximately 90-130 pieces, with a Mountain Police/Ranger and dog minifigure plus a couple of smaller builds that looks like a hideout for crooks to keep their stolen gold and cash, and some log pieces. We don’t have details yet on this polybag’s availability but in case you want to give it a try and make this set, LEGO has uploaded 40302’s building instructions via its customer service portal. Check out and see if you have the parts to build this one.
Though there is no new element or piece that was introduced in the LEGO City Become My City Hero (40302) polybag, it’s a great way to get an additional Mountain Police and dog minifigures. Ok, let’s turn off the leaky faucet on the major LEGO set reveals (Infinity War, Star Wars Solo, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, CMF 18) for a while, and see what other goodies are waiting for us out there in the next few weeks. Last week, we featured The Mini Ultimate Batmobile (30526) as the latest LEGO Batman Movie polybag expected to be around this month. This time, it looks like LEGO still has another TLBM polybag under its sleeve, which can easily pass for another promotional. I’ve already seen its polybag packaging over on Instagram, but I thought it would be nice if we can all take a look at a clearer image.
The LEGO Batman Batshooter (40301) polybag is a pretty straightforward build and comes in at approximately 40-50 pieces, with four printed disc shooters. It also includes images of Joker, Scarecrow and Poison Ivy printed on what looks like a piece of sturdy paper or cardboard for target practice.
There’s not much play features on this one, but it will surely be a nice addition to your TLBM polybag collection. There is no word yet on when this polybag will be released, or if it will be offered as a promotional. Needless to say, 2018 is one exciting year for LEGO, so stay tuned and keep tabs with us here in the Brick Show for more juicy LEGO updates.
With the Unikitty TV Series now airing on Cartoon Network, it was only time before the LEGO sets followed. You will begin to see sets in stores in June of this year. The five set numbers are listed below and a full series of collectible minifigures will also be released in June.
Here are descriptions/names for all 17 of the coming LEGO Series 18 minifigures. One cool thing to mention, all of these come on an orange baseplate, not black as they typically do.
Red Suit Brick Guy – in a red 4×2 brick, holding a blue 1×1.
Police Officer – old LEGO style, exactly like the one in LEGO set 600 back in 1978. He’s holding a printed 1×2 tile picturing LEGO set 600. A very cool way of commemorating the LEGO minifigure’s 40th anniversary.
Elephant Suit Girl – female wearing elephant suit, with a pink tutu and holding a mouse.
Rocket/Firework Guy – male wearing a rocket/firework that is blue, top of firework is red and his pants are dark gray. The costume also has some stars/explosion printing all over in yellow, and the word BANG! all over it.
Red Dragon Suit Guy – cool looking red dragon suit with black spikes on his tail and horns. Red wings attach to the back. You’re going to love the head mold, and the dragon looks really tough.
Birthday Cake Guy – guy in a birthday cake wearing a light blue suit, gold hat and bow-tie. Pink icing splattered print on his torso. No legs, all cake. The gold hat seems to be connected to the head using a new piece.
Race Car Guy – guy wearing a blue and white racers outfit as a new, molded red race car is attached between his torso and legs. Pretty cool look. Race car has a white fin and some printing on it. The minifigure itself has several detailed printings on the torso, legs, and arms most probably the different sponsors that our Race Car Guy has.
Flower Girl – girl dressed as a dark pink flower. New mold that fits over her head with face coming through the middle of the flower. Green torso to match coloring of the stem. No legs, she attaches to a clay flower pot.
Blue Brick Girl – in a blue 4×2 brick, holding a red 1×1.
Blue Unicorn Knight – male dressed as a blue unicorn. lol. Comes holding a gold sword and a white shield with a white unicorn printed on it.
Orange Balloon LEGO Fan Boy – not a costume at all. Boy with short legs, green glasses. His torso is white, but printed with light blue minifigure heads and a multi-color tie. He comes with an orange balloon (these are new LEGO pieces) and 2 LEGO Series 1 minifigure pack printed 1×1 tiles. Also comes with a printed birthday present. This one is going to be easy to feel for with all these accessories. He is wearing shorts using a multi-tone colored legs.
Spider Suit Guy – could actually be female, can’t tell. He wears a black jacket with white spider web printing on torso. Head mold has 4 molded and printed spider eyes on top of head. Also, two fangs colored dark gray molded into head piece. Comes holding a black spider and an eight-legged mold attaches to back of the figure. The latter is a new piece which is will look nice on a Venom minifigure.
Purple Balloon Girl – the compliment to the Orange Balloon LEGO Fan Boy. However, this girl doesn’t like LEGO. Here torso printing is just multi-color square on a white shirt. She is wearing light blue shorts using a multi-tone colored legs. Wearing a purple birthday hat. Accessories are a purple balloon, donut, cookie and a birthday gift.
Cactus Girl – girl wearing a new molded cactus piece. The arms on the torso are also new, as they look like an extension to the cactus with no hands, much similar to the Shark Suit Guy. Green legs.
Cowboy Suit Guy – Cowboy with white hat. A horse costume attaches between his legs and torso so it looks like he is riding on a horse. Horse mold does not carry through to the back. Brown legs.
Balloon Artist Clown – Fun clown! Wearing a light green top-hat with a purple flower printed on it. Orange and purple torso printed vest. Orange coattails attach to his legs and carry about an inch off of him in the back. Red bow-tie attaches to his neck. Light green legs to match his top-hat. The best part is that he comes holding balloons that he has twisted into dogs. These balloon pieces are definitely new green and purple translucent pieces, and I bet most of you will love this minifig accessories.
Cat Suit Guy/Girl – I cannot tell if this is a male or a female. Looks almost exactly like Slyvester the Cat. Comes holding a teal fish. The printing in this minifigure is all black and white.
We have more information for you as we can now definitively give you the LEGO Star Wars Solo: A Star Wars Story official set names along with the minifigures that are in them.
Earlier, we posted a comprehensive description of each of these sets, though based on very blurry images. This time, we managed to have a better look at the box and set images, and we can now definitely share with you the exact names of these Star Wars Solo sets and the minifigures that goes with them.
75209 – Han Solo’s Speeder
Minifigures: Han Solo, Qi’Ra, Corellian Hound
It looks like somebody has left the LEGO leaking faucet on. Hot on the heels of our recent report on the 2018 LEGO Marvel Superheroes Avengers: Infinity War set names, minifigures and descriptions, we now have the following set names and descriptions for the 2018 LEGO Star Wars Solo sets due to be out this April. Now for those of you who were skeptical about our reports, we just want to reiterate that we are sharing with you is not based on second hand info, but on what we actually saw. Take it or leave it, it is up to you to use your better judgement. With that, let’s try to see what we can expect from these sets.
First off, it should be noted that the box art for the LEGO Star Wars Solo sets bares the exact same image of the leaked movie poster of the film. If you recall from last week, several media outlets reported on what seems to be a leaked poster of the Solo: A Star Wars Story, and Disney was quick to jump on the rooftops and shout ‘fake’. Check out the image in question.
Now that we have seen what could be the final render of the box art for the LEGO Star Wars Solo sets, we can say here in the Brick Show that Disney is now trying to do some damage control by stating that the above image is fake, when in fact, it is as true as the back of your hand. As it seems, the box art for the Star Wars Solo sets have a distinct gold color scheme, prominently displaying the SAME poster, albeit flipped or reversed, plus featuring an earlier version of the iconic Millennium Falcon. So for those who believe that this image is too good to be real, then that’s because it is.
Here are the following LEGO Star Wars Solo Sets that we can confirm so far. Please take note that since the pictures that we saw are relatively low res images, there are occasions where we can’t readily identify the names of some of the minifigures included in a set. Neither can we speculate on them because at this point, we don’t know anything yet about the finer details of the film’s story.
Jedi and Clone Troopers Battle Pack (75206)
The first set that we have is a new LEGO Star Wars Battle Pack which includes two Jedi Master minifigures particularly from the Clone Wars: Ki-Adi-Mundi and one which looks like Barriss Offee. We couldn’t figure out exactly if the latter is indeed Barriss since the image that we saw, again, is extremely blurry but it closely approximates her character. Ki-Adi-Mundi first appeared in minifigure form in Geonosian Starfighter (7959), while we already have earlier versions of Barriss Offee in Geonosian Cannon (9491), Republic Swamp Speeder (8091), and a Star Wars Magnet Set (852947). The Jedi and Clone Troopers Battle Pack also includes 2 Clone Troopers which is quite similar to what we have in the Clone Turbo Tank (8098).
Imperial Patrol Battle Pack (75207)
This Battle Pack is another collection of minifigs based on the Han Solo movie. This set consists of 4 minifigures: 2 imperial officers and 2 Stormtroopers with all new helmet designs and printings. The closest thing to which I can compare these new Stormtroopers is that their helmet pattern has a somewhat oriental design on it, similar to how a Japanese samurai helmet or mask will look like, with thicker black lines for the visor and mouth. Kind of intimidating actually. Included in this set is another brick-built version of one of the Imperial vehicles that is used in the film as you can see below. The wheels are not included obviously, since they are edited out of the film.

Yoda’s Hut (75208)
Our knowledge about this next set is not particularly new since we’ve mentioned about it as early as July last year.
However, the latest image that we saw further confirms that this upcoming LEGO Star Wars set will indeed happen. This reference to that iconic scene from Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back depicts the home of Jedi Master Yoda as he takes refuge in the swamp planet of Dagobah and trains Luke in the ways of the Force. Minifigures include Yoda, Luke Sykwalker, and R2-D2.
Han Solo’s Landspeeder (75209)
This Landspeeder comes in dark blue, light gray and white pieces, and has a particular boxy design. The best comparison that we have about this set is with this vehicle that the younger Han Solo used in the movie, as you can see from the image below. Minifigures include Han Solo, and what seems to be like a baby wampa of sorts walking on all fours. I could be wrong on the baby wampa, but since this is a new Star Wars movie we might as well guess that there are new creatures to be introduced as well. The Han Solo Speeder (75209) also comes with two spring-loaded shooters and could probably pass for around $20.

???? Landspeeder (75210)
This set name is kind of hard to figure out since the first word of the set name is super blurry. The one we can only figure out is the Landspeeder, which bares very close resemblance to several behind-the-scenes set images of the film, taken last July. This is the closest approximation that we have concerning this set. There are four minifigures which include what looks like a specific character in the film (the one which drives the Landspeeder), a minifigure that holds a whip which, as the box art suggest, is used to herd what looks like to two baby wampas like what I earlier mentioned.

Imperial TIE Fighter (75211)
This TIE Fighter looks very much the same as the First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter (75101), but in dark and light gray colors instead of the black and red one. Set 75211 comes with an Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot, plus 3 other minifigures. One of the unidentifiable minifigure looks like a gray colored Stormtrooper Officer with a black cape, while the other looks like an Imperial Officer, the one that usually stays on deck.
First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter (75101).
Kessel Run Millennium Falcon (75212)
This never-before-seen iteration of the Millennium Falcon has a completely different paint job as compared to the Falcon that we grew up with. This set is intriguingly named as the Kessel Run Millennium Falcon (probably before after it became famous along the hyperspace smuggling route) and comes in a white and blue color scheme. It has the minifigures of Han Solo, Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian, Kira, plus 3 unidentified minifigures. To have an idea how this set looks like, refer to the image below.
Other than these standard LEGO Star Wars sets, we also have two Brick Headz dedicated to the Han Solo film. We have LEGO BrickHeadz Han Solo (41608) and Chewbacca (41609), both of which are welcomed additions to the BrickHeadz theme. Each of these BrickHeadz comes in the usual yellow and gold Han Solo box art and are numbered #39 and #40 respectively.
Lastly, we also have two, new additional LEGO Star Wars buildable figures: Han Solo (75535 or 75536) and Darth Maul (75537). The Han Solo constraction figure is a replica of the younger version of the famous smuggler that comes with a brown outfit and black pants. The set also comes with a large spring-loaded blaster rifle. Darth Maul finally gets his own buildable figure with set number 75537. He comes in an all black suit and his iconic dual-bladed light saber. I love the details on Darth Maul’s head printing and fans of the infamous Sith Lord from the prequel era will surely love to have this on their desk or collection.
So there you go. This is what we all know about this year’s Summer LEGO Star Wars sets. Again, all of this is based on firsthand knowledge from actual images that we saw. We’re just a few months away before the sets are officially revealed, so we’ll excitingly wait for their official images. We have some very fun details on a bunch of the coming 2018 summer LEGO sets for the Avengers: Infinity War film. We are not allowed to post the images, but here is what we know.
76101 – Outrider Dropship Attack – $10 – $15 range
Minifigures: Captain America, Black Widow, Outrider
Summary: Small buildable dropship as Black Widow and Captain America fight an Outrider over an Infinity stone.
76102 – Thor’s Weapon Quest – $20 range
Minifigures: Groot, Thor, Rocket Raccoon
Summary: Thor is zapping some sort of portal with Rocket flying in on a space vessel similar to the Necrocraft from the 76081 in The Milano vs. The Abilisk set. However, this one is colored light grey and orange.
76103 – Corvus Glave Thresher Attack – $40 range
Minifigures: Vision, Black Panther, Corvus Glave, Outrider, Shiri
Summary: A not so impressive buildable structure made up of windows and black brick that a weapon/thresher? of some sort racing towards it.
76104 – The Hulkbuster Smash-Up – $35 range
Minifigures: Bruce Banner, Falcon, Proxima Midnight, Outrider
Summary: Hulkbuster build with a mostly black turret being fired by an Outrider.
76107 – Thanos Ultimate Battle – $70-$80
Minifigures: Iron Man (with a new armor/suit), Gamora, Star-Lord, Thanos
Summary: Features the return of the Milano with different coloring (mostly orange and light grey) along with a small Infinity Glove build. Size of the Milano is similar to The Milano vs. The Abilisk (76081) though slightly has a wider wing span.
76108 – Sanctum Sanctorium Showdown – $120 range
Minifigures: Dr. Strange, Iron Man, Iron Spider, Black Dwarf, Ebony Maw
Summary: Impressive Sanctum Sanctorium building that looks like it could fit in with other LEGO Creator modular buildings (although not quite as big). However, I can’t see the back of it to say for sure. Definitely the most exciting set in the wave!
