LEGO City Space 2024 Sets Are Getting More Exciting!
This is an exciting wave of LEGO City Space 2024 sets and hints at the idea that next year will most likely be a big year for space-themed sets. The emphasis on space exploration seems to run fairly well across themes, and I’m excited to see the direction that LEGO will take next year.
These LEGO City Space 2024 sets are not yet officially listed at LEGO.com, but we can check out these preliminary images and price points to get a glimpse of what we can expect from them. The long-anticipated collaboration between LEGO Group and Epic Games is finally materializing into a thrilling new gaming experience. The official reveal of a LEGO Fortnite game, a fusion of creativity and survival gaming, is set to take place within Fortnite universe this week on December 7!
Evolution of a Metaverse: Enter the LEGO Fortnite Game!
The idea behind this groundbreaking game stems from a collaboration envisioned in April 2022. LEGO and Epic Games aimed at crafting a kid-friendly “metaverse”, and its consequent LEGO Fortnite game was born. This visionary endeavor sought to synergize the unique expertise of both companies, setting the stage for what promises to be an extraordinary gaming experience.
LEGO Fortnite Game: An Unprecedented Venture
The crux of this collaboration, the LEGO Fortnite game, has emerged with an official trailer offering a sneak peek of things to come. Check the official teaser below courtesy of IGN.
While the trailer is a brief 22-second tease, it introduces LEGO versions of beloved Fortnite characters like the Supply Llama and Brite Bomber. LEGO’s announcement emphasizes the game’s intent to merge the best elements of both realms, fostering expansive exploration within vast open worlds and stimulating creative building with its iconic bricks.
The LEGO Fortnite Game: What to Expect
Scheduled to debut within Fortnite, the LEGO Fortnite game promises a unique gaming and open-world experience within the larger Fortnite universe.
It is also good to know that it managed to obtain an E10+ classification, aiming for a wider audience compared to Fortnite’s base game, rated T for teens. This shift hints at a potentially immersive gaming experience, with more emphasis on the game’s collaborative survival mode.
Glimpses of the LEGO Fortnite Universe
Beyond today’s 22-second teaser trailer, we can somewhat catch a glimpse of what to expect from the LEGO Fortnite game, including some of its more prominent game features.
Several reports indicate mining mechanics, a versatile building tool with nine schematic slots, alongside health and energy systems. Unique in-game actions, like resting in a bed to rejuvenate health and stamina, and mining ores for materials, are also poised to shape a uniquely different gameplay experience.
Check out this sampling from Fortnite’s official YouTube channel.
A Multifaceted World Beckons in the LEGO Fortnite Game
LEGO’s official press release and captivating promotional artwork also seem to hint at things to come. The LEGO Fortnite game will most likely include three distinct biomes: a rugged desert, lush forests, and snow-capped mountains.
Iconic Fortnite characters—Peely, Cuddle Team Leader, and Brite Bomber—stand out against the backdrop. The Nightmare Shark Ship from the LEGO DREAMZzz set and the Lizard Man also hints at the game’s potential to combine diverse themes into a monumental sandbox adventure.
Here’s LEGO’s full press release.
Build, Play, Survive: The LEGO Group and Epic Games Unveil LEGO® Fortnite
The LEGO Group and Epic Games today announced the LEGO Fortnite game, a new survival crafting game that will go live inside Fortnite starting Dec 7, 2023. LEGO Fortnite will be the first play experience to come from our long-term partnership with Epic Games to develop fun and safe digital spaces for children and families.
Within LEGO Fortnite, players can explore vast, open worlds where the magic of LEGO building and Fortnite collide. Designed for people of all ages to enjoy together, the game will encourage creativity, experimentation, and collaboration through play.
Last year, the LEGO Group and Epic Games announced their partnership to shape the future of the metaverse and make it fun and safe for all. Together the companies will build positive digital play experiences that enable young players to become the creators of tomorrow.
LEGO Fortnite is rated E10+ by the ESRB and will launch inside Fortnite.
As December 7, 2023, approaches, anticipation for the LEGO Fortnite game intensifies, promising an unprecedented amalgamation of creative freedom and survival adventure within the Fortnite universe.
We just have to wait and see if we will be officially treated with a LEGO Fornite set, which will be most likely a promotional or gift-with-purchase set.

This year’s LEGO Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals may all be over, but the Toy of the Year Awardee still has plenty of exciting sets to offer this December. And in case you missed the early reveal a couple of months ago, LEGO train fans and collectors will be glad to know that the LEGO Ideas 21344 Orient Express is finally live at LEGO.com.
Exploring the LEGO Ideas 21344 Orient Express
The LEGO Ideas 21344 Orient Express is now available at LEGO’s home shopping portal retailing for $300. And if you’re eyeing this LEGO train set just in time for the holidays, read on to learn more about what to expect from this brick-built masterpiece.
Celebrating 140 Years of Iconic Transportation
In collaboration with The Orient Express, LEGO has embarked on a remarkable endeavor to immortalize this emblematic and lavish mode of travel in LEGO’s signature style. This initiative commemorates the train’s remarkable 140th anniversary, crafting a captivating experience through a timeless LEGO rendition.
Unveiling the Magnificent 2,540-piece LEGO Ideas 21344 Orient Express Train
Boasting a staggering 2,540 pieces, the LEGO Ideas 21344 Orient Express exudes meticulous craftsmanship and intricate details. Though it adheres to conventional track operation, the LEGO Ideas design team clarified that motorization isn’t feasible due to the set’s considerable weight.
The Orient Express follows as a captivating successor to the revered 10194 Emerald Night released back in 2009. The current LEGO rendition serves as a beacon for locomotive and train enthusiasts, ending a period of neglect by delivering this exquisite masterpiece.
However Many fans were left puzzled when the final model turned out to have a predominantly blue color scheme, deviating from the original dark green proposed in the LEGO Ideas submission by fan builder LEt.sGO. Insights from Jordan Scott, the Design Lead for LEGO Ideas, shed light on this alteration during the RLFM Days in Denmark.
Collaborating with the Orient Express, the decision to opt for dark blue was a strategic choice aligning the upcoming Orient Express La Dolce Vita, scheduled to grace tracks in 2024. This decision echoes the elegance and evolution of this iconic train as it is given a more modern twist.
Looking at the Details of the LEGO Ideas 21344 Orient Express
Eight LEGO minifigures, including the conductor, chef, staff, and an eclectic mix of passengers, enrich the set’s narrative. Featuring a film director, writer, scientist, and a regal Duchess, this ensemble adds depth to the journey experience.
While enthusiasts hoped for a motorized version, the design constraints, primarily the train’s weight, preclude this feature. Despite this setback, the allure of the Orient Express remains intact.
Within two exquisitely detailed cars, the opulence and grandeur of the journey come alive. Delicate attention to detail amplifies the authentic Orient Express experience, catering to aficionados’ discerning tastes.
Set to debut exclusively on December 1, 2023, the 21344 Orient Express awaits enthusiasts, available solely through LEGO.com or your local LEGO Store.
