A Round Up of Everything We Know So Far About the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192).

We’re almost there! In roughly 48 hours, we’ll get to see what is in store in that large, bulky box that LEGO touted as their largest set ever created. For the whole month of August, LEGO was quite deliberate in releasing their scheduled teasers and earlier today, LEGO has revealed their last hint in this series of reveals. Released via their social media channels, LEGO gives fans an idea on how you’ll be able to carry this set if you prefer to purchase this from any LEGO store (that is, if there will be enough sets available for everyone).

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js

Placed side by side with 2016’s LEGO Star Wars UCS Death Star (75159) which can easily fit inside LEGO’s largest yellow plastic bag, this 4,000-piece set just pales in comparison with the mammoth sized set known to most already as the much rumored LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192). It is so huge at approximately 18.7 pounds (or 8.5 kilos) that no LEGO plastic bag can handle the weight. In LEGO’s latest tweet, set 75192 is so large that it will require wheels to be transported out of a LEGO store. Now, the only question is, will they give you a push cart if you have the cash to burn and you eventually decide to purchase two or more sets. Hmmm…

Since this is the very last teaser that we can expect from LEGO before the big, official reveal on Force Friday II, our Brick Show Brian has come up with a roundup of all the things that we know so far (see video above) about LEGO’s ‘worst kept secret in all of LEGO history’. Without a shadow of doubt, there are strong evidences to show that this super secret set is indeed an extremely large remake of the Millennium Falcon, which first appeared as a LEGO Ultimate Collector’s set ten years ago, tagged as the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (10179).

But perhaps the biggest concern in everyone’s mind at this point has little to do with how we will be able to carry it out from the store, but more of how we can even have access to it in the first place. Will it be a limited series release? Will there be pre-orders? Are there limited quantities? Will LEGO be able to catch up with the demands even before October 1 arrives when the set becomes available to the general public?

These are very real concerns, considering how the LEGO Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V (21309) set still appears to be Out of Stock at shop.LEGO.com. Moreover, we don’t have any official word yet from LEGO if there will be limited quantities around say 5,000 or so. If that will be the case, then we can definitely expect retailers to run like mad and grab all these ‘gold’ plastics and we may not even see them on store shelves anymore.

We certainly hope that LEGO has a back-up plan of some sorts for this re-release of the UCS Millennium Falcon to ensure that this set will remain in shelves for the next few years. Because even though it has a hefty tag price of around $700 or more and not all people will be able to afford it, the reality is, there are still a good number of people who is willing to spend such an insane amount of money for this extraordinary LEGO set.

So what do you think of all these things, I mean with all the hype surrounding the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192)? Will you even get this set in spite of the outrageous price tag attached to it? Do you want to see Brian give it a spin and review this set? 😉 Let us know what you think in the comments below.

As a last note, you might notice that we’ve added a red, bell icon at the lower right corner of the screen below.

Good News! LEGO Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V (21309) Now Back at shop.LEGO.com!

A couple of weeks ago, we were caught in that existential fear (say what?) that every LEGO fan is most worried about – that anxiety of not being able to bring home or build that much desired LEGO Ideas set that were just recently released and has now quickly ran out of stock. Oh, the horror of it! I can pretty much relate to that, given of my own frustration of not being able to have my very own LEGO Ideas Wall-E (21303) set. So imagine how it feels if another chance to own a brilliant Ideas set will soon pass in an instant.

This is how most of us probably felt when news broke out of the largest LEGO Ideas set to date, the iconic NASA Apollo Saturn V (21309), quickly ran out of stock at shop.LEGO.com, with very few sets made available in local LEGO brand stores. The set was so popular that demand for it completely overwhelmed the supply.

Though many AFOLs were quite disheartened when this immensely popular set quickly became unavailable, LEGO promised that stocks of the popular NASA set will be replenished soon. The good news is, this promise was eventually fulfilled now that shop.LEGO.com lists the LEGO Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V (21309) available for purchase as of this writing.

21309 now available

If you’re holding on to that next LEGO purchase and has been waiting patiently for the return of this set, then now is the time to push that Add to Basket button before stocks ran out again.

LEGO Creator Pet Shop (10218) May Reach The End of the Line Soon.

If you’re into modular buildings and you still don’t have this ticked off from your must-have list, then this is something that you may want to read. Promo Bricks has recently pointed out the apparent unavailability of the D2C advanced model set, the LEGO Creator Pet Shop 10218, across the European region. According from a concerned fan and probable LEGO insider who passed on the info, the set IS no longer available in the area. A quick browse over at shop.LEGO.com confirms this, where several regional stores in Europe mark the set as ‘Temporarily out of stock’.

The situation is also the same across several LEGO Brand Stores in Europe, where 10218 is no longer on their store shelves. According to the report, some store employees said that the demand for the 2,000-piece set has recently spiked due to the recent revived interest in modular buildings, coupled with the fact that the set is almost retiring after its introduction in 2011. The good news is that as of this writing, the LEGO Creator Pet Shop 10218 is still listed in as available in North America both in Canada and in the US. Here’s a quick look at some of the features of this set, including a designer video, and a review by Jason from 5 years ago.

LEGO Ideas Wall-E (21303) and Other Popular Sets Retiring Soon.

In case you’re eyeing for that LEGO Ideas Wall-E or UCS Star Wars Sandcrawler for quite some time already, you may want to make up your mind right away. LEGO’s online store has recently rolled out its next sets slated for retirement anytime soon. All regional sites of shop.LEGO.com, except that of North America as of this writing, have already updated their listing, and have tagged a handful of impressive sets that are retiring soon, including our personal favorite, Wall-E .

lego-retiring-sets

Though the US and Canada regional sites have not listed these sets yet, we can be pretty sure that they will be updated soon. Frankly, LEGO does not readily announce when a set will exactly be retired. We can only have a hint of its impending retirement once it is tagged as ‘Retiring Soon’. If that happens then we can only hope for LEGO to either come up with a sort of a rehash similar to what they did with the LEGO Star Wars Death Star 75159, or click your way through various exorbitant eBay offers. Alternatively, Amazon also offers these sets for sale for good measure – plus at great discounted prices. You may want to check out these links as well.

LEGO Star Wars Super Star Destroyer (10221) is Retired!

After visiting my local LEGO Store today to take advantage of the double VIP points, I discovered that the LEGO Star Wars Super Star Destroyer is retiring. They did still have a few in stock (although 1 less than they had when I got there).

Where to Find the LEGO Star Wars Super Star Destroyer (10221)

Now, if you have your eye on this set, get to your store NOW! The retail price is $400 and once your local LEGO store is out, that will be it. We anticipate that this set will reach $1000 on eBay within a year. Amazon does still have many of these in stock at retail price, but those may not last long either now that we’ve let the cat out of the bag.
