LEGO DC Comics Collectible Minifigures (71026) First Official Images Released

After almost two months since their list went out over the internet, more and more images are now being released by third-party retailers giving us a better (and official) look at the upcoming LEGO DC Comics Collectible Minifigures (71026). These first official images were made available by Japanese online store Bic Camera, which shows how the series’ box and individual blind bags will look like. Though I’m still hoping to see a more detailed view of each of these minifigures, this first glimpse is certainly a welcomed one.

The LEGO DC Comics Collectible Minifigures (71026) highlights both the classic and more modern rendition of DC superheroes and villains that we learned to love and hate. With the wealth of DC characters around, it’s realistic to assume that not all LEGO DC fans will be thrilled with this selection. However, I’m pretty sure that there’s a LEGO DC minifig from this collection that will surely endear to any LEGO and DC fan. I’m a sucker for the classics, so I’m hoping to get those Jay Garrick Flash and first issue Batman from Detective Comics #1. It’s also nice of LEGO to add additional pieces for each blind bag that allows you to strike that superhero minfig ‘pose’ for your collectibles.

As I’ve mentioned before, this latest CMF will include the following characters:

The Brick Show’s official online shop has updated its database to include a listing for all these CMFs, so be sure to check them out once the clock ticks at 12midnight of January 1st, 2020. We don’t have an exact price tag yet for each of the series’ blind bags, but we can expect this to retail for the $4.99 USD once it arrives in the US.

Stay tuned for more updates, especially when LEGO releases more close-up images. Thanks to Promobricks for the heads up and the additional images.

All of the Rumored LEGO DC Comics Superheroes CMF (71026) Characters Revealed

We now a glimpse of the entire roster of the rumored LEGO DC Comics Superheroes CMF (71026) characters, courtesy of a reliable source from the LEGO fan community. Rumors have been steadily rising on which DC Comics characters will make it to the circle of 16 minifigures included in this upcoming collectible minifigure series, and thanks to 1414falconfan, he managed to compile an interesting list of all the DC characters that are expected to be included in this series. Check out this nifty compilation below.

Though this listing is not 100% conclusive until such time that LEGO gives its official press release, it is fair to say that this confirms what we know so far about the first names of DC superheroes and villains that will be included.

  1. Cyborg
  2. Simon Baz
  3. Sinestro
  4. Huntress
  5. Bumblebee (from Teen Titans)
  6. Classic Wonder Woman
  7. Mister Miracle
  8. Aquaman
  9. Joker (from The Dark Knight Returns comics)
  10. Superman (from New 52, “The Final Days of Superman” storyline)
  11. Classic Batman
  12. Cheetah
  13. Bat-Mite
  14. Flash (Jay Garrick)
  15. Metamorpho
  16. Stargirl

As you can see, the final four characters to close this circle are Bat-Mite, Jay Garrick’s original version of the Flash, Joker from The Dark Knight Returns comics and a newer version of Superman from the New 52 series. I’m really excited about that Jay Garrick and Joker minifigs, and can’t wait to see their renditions in minifigure formats.

This list may seem quite odd and random at first, but seeing how it is a mixture of both classic and new characters spanning the entire history of DC comic books, will perhaps make it one of LEGO’s most sought after CMF series. I can just imagine how LEGO product designers burned the midnight oil in figuring out which character will be included to this list of LEGO DC Comics Superheroes CMF (71026). I know not every LEGO and DC fans will be pleased about this selection and it’s impractical for LEGO to expect it as such. But then again, I guess one of the overarching ideas for every CMF series is to give it a particular vibe or character. And I believe this upcoming series has achieved this which makes it even more exciting.

Again, please be aware that even though this CMF series and the characters listed in them are most likely to happen, they are still supposed to be treated as rumors until such time they are officially revealed in the next few weeks.

What do you think about this selection? Which are you most excited for? Let me know what you think in the comments below.

UPDATE: More Info On the LEGO DC Comics Superheroes CMF (71026) Series

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned how the rumor mill was on a roll with regards to the recent hype on the upcoming LEGO DC Comics Superheroes CMF (71026). After having a glimpse of the initial roster of DC superheroes and villains included in this next wave of CMF, we now have more info spreading over the LEGO fan community regarding the additional DC characters that will be included in this series.

Aside from the fact that we now have an official set number tagged to this CMF series, I am certain that this wave is slated to be a part of LEGO’s January 2020 releases, or perhaps even earlier. Furthermore, all signs are pointing out to the very real possibility that this CMF series will have a total of 16 DC characters included in it. As of now, here’s an updated list of the names included in this LEGO DC Comics Superheroes CMF series.

Obviously, we still have four minifigures waiting to be confirmed. The list of other possible characters is indeed a long one given DC’s expansive universe of superheroes and super-powered villains. However, if my hunch serves me right, it seems that LEGO is moving towards giving us a complete set of classic Justice League members in this CMF. Though it will be a bit out of place to see Simon Baz included in this roster only to be joined in by Hal Jordan’s Green Lantern, I’m still looking forward to seeing the classic versions of Superman, Flash and Martian Manhunter to complete the league.

Again, if you’re actively following these developments via social media, then you may have seen already these minifigures that I’ve mentioned. So it’s just a matter of time before all of the characters in this wave of LEGO DC Comics Superheroes CMF (71026) will be revealed.

While waiting for more info on this next series of LEGO Collectible Minifigures, be sure to head over at Brick Show’s Shop to get a first-hand look at this upcoming CMF collection once LEGO gives out an official press release.

LEGO DC Comics Superheroes CMF Series Confirmed

A few weeks ago, we reported some bit of smoke coming from the rumor mill that a LEGO DC Comics Superheroes CMF is somewhat on its way. Truth be told, the news of such a possibility has been floating around for quite some time. And not until earlier today that evidence of such a rumor has actually been corroborated, well, from unofficial channels.

A quick #legoleaks search over at Instagram will show you that some images of these purported CMF series have already been released. Like before, we are not in liberty to show you these images here on our blog site, but if you don’t mind some spoilers, then I suggest that you read on.

As of press time, we can confirm that 7 from these LEGO DC Comics Superheroes CMF has already been revealed which seems to include a collection of comic book characters that represent both classic and contemporary versions of well-known DC heroes and villains. Considering that this upcoming LEGO CMF series is slated to be released early in 2020, then we can expect more images (aka leaks) to be out in the upcoming weeks.

For starters, we have the following confirmed DC characters in this next wave of LEGO CMF:

Classic Sinestro (in an earlier black and blue uniform)

Stargirl

Metamorpho

Feel free to comment below if you think I missed out on any particular detail that these minifigs might have. They’re impressive actually, and I’m excited to see the rest of the DC characters that LEGO added to this latest CMF. We already have the LEGO Batman Movie CMF Series 1 and Series 2 which in themselves have introduced a fair number of DC characters in LEGO minifig form. So having a new CMF line that is entirely dedicated to DC Comics is a welcomed move that will expand our collection of LEGO DC superheroes minifigures.  I’ll update this post as more info comes in so I hope you’ll stay tuned.

From The Rumor Mill: Are We To See a LEGO DC Collectible Minifigures in 2020?

This piece of LEGO news has been floating around the LEGO fan community for quite some time now, and it looks like its getting a lot of thumbs up from LEGO fans. The LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 19 (71025) has just launched, and from the looks of it, rumors are coming out about the next wave of LEGO CMF that seems to be a bit long overdue. We already saw the release of several LEGO CMFs that are based on other licensed themes such as The Simpsons, The LEGO Batman Movie, and Harry Potter. And if the proverbial rumor train is always on time, then word on brick street has it that our next licensed LEGO CMF series will arrive in 2020 in the form of a LEGO DC Collectible Minifigures series.

These rumors were first picked up by Brick Fanatics, and from the looks of it, their sources are pretty confident about the possibility of this new superhero LEGO CMF. There are definitely lots of potential candidates for this rumored LEGO DC Collectible Minifigures series that it’s kind of hard to zero in and reduce our list to 16 or so characters. However, we can somehow assume that we will still see a handful of familiar LEGO DC superhero characters given a new redesign. I wouldn’t mind seeing a new version of Superman or one of his many comic book iterations, and the least that I expect to see is another Batman minifig. Don’t get me wrong though, since I absolutely love the many versions that LEGO came up with of our Dark Knight. But I just feel that with the many DC characters out there still waiting to be rendered in LEGO form, another LEGO Batman is the least that I wanted to see.

LEGO DC Collectible Minifigures
The LEGO Batman Movie CMF Series 1 (71017) gave us our first set of DC supervillains minifigs.

Personally, I am excited for this rumored LEGO DC Collectible Minifigures and it will be a great way to expand what LEGO has already begun in terms of exclusive superhero and supervillain minifigs with the LEGO Batman Movie CMF Series 1 (71017) and Series 2 (71020). And if ever rumors about this new collectible minifigs series turn out to be true, does it goes to show that LEGO might actually have a LEGO Marvel Superheroes CMF in the works as well? I’m certainly keeping my radars open on this one.

71020 21
Last year’s LEGO Batman Movie CMF Series 2 (71020) featured ‘classic’ JL characters such as the Wonder Twins, Apache Chief, and Black Vulcan.

What do you think about this brick fans? Do you have a particular DC character that you want to see in minifig form? Let me know in the comments below.

However, since LEGO makes it clear that this complete box set is for a limited time only, then we can expect that this particular offer might end soon.

WATCH: A Closer Look at the LEGO CMF Series 19 (71025) Box Distribution

We saw its official images a couple of weeks ago, and this time we now have an idea on how many complete sets we can expect right out of the box of the upcoming LEGO CMF Series 19 (71025). YouTuber The Brick Shack managed to get his hands on three unopened boxes of this latest CMF line and has now revealed that we can expect three complete sets from each box of Series 19 collectible minifigs. Watch his video below.

Towards the end of his video, The Brick Shack has confirmed that the box distribution for the LEGO CMF Series 19 are as follows:

  • Dog Walker x3
  • Fox Girl x3
  • Video Gamer x5
  • Monkey King x3
  • Shower Guy x3
  • Coder Girl x4
  • Black Knight x4
  • Mountain Biker x3
  • Mummy x5
  • Firefighter x3
  • Explorer x4
  • Pet Owner x3
  • Pizza Guy x4
  • Rainbow Bear x4
  • Intergalactic Bounty Hunter x5
  • Rugby Player x4

From the looks of it, you can snag three complete sets out of an unopened box plus 12 additional loose minifigs on the side since each box contains 60 blind bags priced at $3.99 USD each. Furthermore, it was also revealed that the 1st and 2nd row of each box offers a complete set of LEGO CMF Series 19. So it goes without saying that should you wait for their release on the 1st week of September, then better keep an eye on that freshly opened box in-store if you want to get all of them in one go. It also saves you the time and effort of feeling your way through each blind bag for that matter.

Special thanks to The Brick Shack for sharing this info.

A Look at the LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 19 (71025)

I was mostly offline during these past few days since I shared some of my initial thoughts on the next wave of LEGO collectible minifigs (was struggling with a ridiculous amount of schoolwork during these times).  I must also admit that I based my opinion of them on a blind bag checklist that was leaked on social media sites. But thanks to online German toy store JB Spielwaren, we can now have a better look at these images. These are official images by the way that LEGO provided to third party retailers and as of this posting Spielwaren has them up on their site so I guess its fair game sharing these here are as well. I’m still waiting for LEGO to announce the official names of these characters from the LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 19 (71025), so for the meantime let’s settle for these preliminary names. Here we go.
