Dumbledore… I Mean, Gandalf, Welcomes Another Wizard Into The Fray.

The LEGO Dimensions is all set to welcome another wizard into the portal, and who is best to qualify to do so other than Gandalf. We’re not sure if he accidentally cast an identity switching spell of some sorts upon himself, but it seems that the folks over at Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them are having a hard time being convinced that he is not Dumbledore. Watch LEGO Dimensions latest ‘Meet That Hero’ video featuring none other than the hero of the wizarding world on this side of North America, Newt Scamander. He is the latest hero placed under the LEGO Dimensions spotlight following the likes of Gizmo, B.A. Baracus, and E.T. In this video, Gandalf narrates how Newt ends up causing quite a commotion in New York City, where his fantastic beasts ran loose and were causing a lot of trouble among the locals. With help from his friends and a dash of LEGO humor, retrieving these fantastic beasts can prove to be a great and fun adventure.

Newt comes together with the LEGO Dimensions Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them Story Pack (71253) where fans can get to play the whole movie as uniquely told by LEGO. This set follows LEGO Dimensions’ first offering of Story Packs with the 2016 rehash of the Ghostbusters. If you wish to know more about the different packs that falls under Waves 6 and 7 of LEGO Dimensions, you may want to check out this handy visual guide for your reference.

You may also want to check out this pre-order deal from Amazon just in time before the actual film is released in US theaters next week, November 18. I just hope that Dumbledore… ahem, Gandalf finds his way back to Middle Earth.

‘Meet That Hero’ Video Shows What Happens When Marceline and Gizmo Jams Together in LEGO Dimensions.

LEGO Dimensions and Warner Bros. Interactive has revealed its next Meet That Hero episode over at YouTube. The video features Adventure Time’s Vampire Queen herself, Marceline, as seen in her LEGO Dimensions minifigure together with Gizmo from the 80’s blockbuster film Gremlins. This recent Meet That Hero clip is the third instalment in a series that follows the newest characters of LEGO Dimensions under its Waves 6 and 7 banners. The video series is a fun and creative way of explaining the unique in-game abilities of each character in LEGO Dimensions. Well, in Gizmo’s case, the three absolute rules that every Mogwai owner needs to remember.

Well, we don’t see a vampire and a mogwai jamming together that often, do we? In case you missed it, here are the first two videos in the series starting with Lumpy Space Princess introducing the A-Team’s  B.A. Baracus, and two alien beings brought together in LEGO Dimensions – E.T. and Supergirl.

Wave 6 of LEGO Dimensions is now available, with Wave 7 slatted to hit shelves on November 18. Here’s A Look At The Recently Updated LEGO Dimensions Guide.

LEGO has just released an updated infographic of their LEGO Dimensions expansion sets, including the more recent Waves 6 and 7. Delivering on its promise of a bigger and better game play experience, LEGO has added a total of 16 titles and licenses under its flagship toys-to-life theme. If the recent upgrade on the cooperative and multiplayer Battle Arena game mode and Story Packs expansions are not enough to get you hooked up, I guess the minifigure line that comes with them will undoubtedly make any minifig enthusiast a believer. LEGO even took the extra mile of introducing new moulds for their newest minifigure lines such as that of Jake and Lumpy Space Princess in the Adventure Time Team Pack (71246), Sonic the Hedgehog Level Pack (71244), Gremlins Team Pack (71256), and ET the Extraterrestrial Fun Pack (71258).

Here’s LEGO’s infographic in case you want to know which LEGO Dimensions figure goes with what wave, and what kind of pack are they included in to.

lego-dimensions-guide-updated

Wave 6 is currently available, with Wave 7 scheduled to be released this November.  If you noticed, The LEGO Batman Story Pack (71264), The LEGO Batman Story Fun Pack (71344), and the Knight Rider Fun Pack (71286) are yet to be included in this chart. We assume that these sets comprise the first half of LEGO Dimensions Wave 8 set to be released to the general public on February next year. We also had a sneak peak of the LEGO Dimensions Sloth minifigure from the Goonies last week though it is quite unsure if he will be included in Wave 8. Additionally, we are still waiting for the reveal of the rest of Series 2 LEGO Dimensions characters which include the Powerpuff Girls, Teen Titans GO! and Beetlejuice.

LEGO Dimensions Sloth Minifigure Makes His Debut!

A couple of hours ago, LEGO Dimensions’ official Twitter page gave us a glimpse of how the Goonies iconic character looks like in his actual minifigure form. We already have an early glimpse on how Sloth looks like during this year’s E3 LEGO Dimension presentation. Here’s the video in case you missed it and watch out for him at around the 0:46 mark.

We do not have any further official images or description of Sloth as of now, but LEGO Dimensions’ Twitter post below is enough to keep us on our toes and be excited about how the next wave of LEGO Dimensions will take shape. Here’s the image that they shared.

ctz15jkwaaaeade

For one, Sloth will enter the LEGO Dimensions portal in his own Level Pack as revealed by Travellers Tales’ Head of Design Arthur Parsons.

As you may have noticed, Sloth is wearing a Superman tank top reminiscent of what the character looks like during a particular scene in the film. The Sloth minifigure head piece is a separate element that re-creates the elongated form of his head with a small patch of hair on top. Take a look at the photos below.

chunk-and-sloth sloth-superman

For those of you who were wondering who the Sloth and Goonies, they are characters based on the 1985 hit comedy film composed of a ragtag team of juvenile adventurers who call themselves the Goonies. The film is centered on the Goonies’ quest to find the pirate’s treasure that will save their neighborhood from the impending construction of a golf course. In doing so, they get to meet a bunch of interesting characters, including the dysfunctional Fratelli family and their gargantuan member, Lotney ‘Sloth’ Fratelli. Though frighteningly disfigured and somehow slow on the uptake, the Goonies soon realized that the Sloth is a very valuable help and loyal friend. Watch the video below of some of the moments of the Sloth as he is seen in the Goonies 1985 film. Please mind some of the language spoken by the characters.

Currently, we have a total of 16 new IPs and licenses added to the roster of LEGO Dimensions, with characters from the titles like Beetlejuice, the Powerpuff Girls, and Teen Titans GO! still waiting to be revealed.
