It has been customary for LEGO to feature life-sized brick statues of pop icons at comic book conventions, and San Diego Comic-Con is one of those events where LEGO designers get to shine. After the reveal of the LEGO Star Wars Sith Trooper statue last week, another awesome brick creation is poised to grace the LEGO booth at SDCC 2019. As revealed by LEGO on its social media channels, a life-sized LEGO Avengers: Endgame Iron Man statue will also be on display at this year’s SDCC.
Made up of 35,119 LEGO pieces, this statue is a fitting tribute to one of the icons of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Tony Stark looks impressively imposing wielding this version of the Infinity Gauntlet, standing at 6.5 feet and weighing at 188 pounds.
This brick-built LEGO Avengers: Endgame Iron Man Statue will be on display from Thursday to Sunday this week, July 18-21. If you already registered as an attendee for SDCC, be sure to drop by the LEGO booth during these dates to see these magnificent pieces of brick art. LEGO usually releases two or three brick statues to be put on display during comic-con so we’re keeping our radars open for further developments if any.
LEGO has also announced its various SDCC 2019 exclusives that will be given away or sold via electronic raffle. We have the usual event-exclusive minifigures for this year such as the LEGO Stranger Things Barb minifig, the LEGO DC Comics Zebra Batman, and the LEGO Marvel Spider-Man Advanced Suit minifigs. Limited-edition sets are also up for sale at the LEGO booth which includes Captain Marvel and the Asis (77902), the Dark Knight of Gotham City (77903), and the LEGO Star Wars Sith Trooper Bust (77901).
