The LEGO VIP Rewards Program Just Got Even Better

After the announcement of several significant changes in their system, LEGO Shop@Home is now revamped with an all-new and improved VIP Rewards Program. If you’re already a LEGO VIP member, then you’ll notice that the LEGO VIP Rewards Program has now much to offer via a dedicated Rewards Center page. This mini-site gives helps you keep track of your earned VIP points, plus access to all the perks of LEGO VIP membership. Aside from this, you can also earn points by completing simple tasks other than making direct purchases. You now also have the chance of choosing your special VIP rewards and have more control over how you can spend it on certain reward items.

VIP points can now also be earned by following LEGO via its social media platforms and completing simple surveys. However, the best way to increase your points is to take advantage of the double-VIP points promo that LEGO releases every now and then.

Additional perks are also made available via this new LEGO VIP Rewards Program wherein VIP members now get to choose how they spend their rewards. Access to certain exclusive rewards is also available for redemption depending on the available VIP points that the member has.  For example, LEGO VIP members can now choose to either redeem certain exclusive items or use their points as vouchers for their next LEGO set purchase. As of now, these exclusive items include coloring pages, exclusive art prints, a couple of limited-edition sets, and redeemable tickets to LEGOLAND Parks and Discovery Centers, including the famed LEGO House in Billund, Denmark.

Lastly, you also have the option of having a special, digital version of your LEGO VIP Card which you can use for purchases in-store and online like your current physical card. This digital LEGO VIP card can be downloaded via Apple Wallet and Google Pay apps and must be used in conjunction with the LEGO VIP Rewards Center.

The new LEGO VIP Rewards program is still in its initial stages so we can be sure that there are more perks and improvements to come. Be sure to set up your LEGO VIP account and check out the Rewards Center every now and then.

Free LEGO Avengers: Endgame Art Print for VIP Members

LEGO VIP members are in for a treat starting next Monday, June 10. For every single receipt purchase of LEGO sets worth $35 USD and above, LEGO VIP members are entitled to a free LEGO Avengers: Endgame art print exclusively illustrated by artists Andrea Divito and Laura Villari. If you recall, LEGO VIP members also received a similar art print a few months ago in connection with the release of MCU’s Captain Marvel film and its LEGO tie-in set. Now that the spotlight is currently on Avengers: Endgame, this second VIP promotional offering marks the second among three exclusive art prints lined up by LEGO.

LEGO Avengers: Endgame Art Print

Though I can’t say that this LEGO Avengers: Endgame art print is 100% movie accurate, it is still a nice poster to be displayed in your LEGO playroom. Furthermore, LEGO VIP members can collect all three posters (the obvious guess is that the third LEGO-inspired art print will be dedicated to the last MCU Phase 3 film, Spider-Man: Far From Home) to combine into a single, collectible poster. Just be quick on that purchase trigger though if you’re on shop.LEGO.com since this LEGO VIP promo will only run from June 10 until 16. Read on for the full promo mechanics.

Potentially Non-Expiring Points, and Other Changes to LEGO VIP Program

Earlier this March, LEGO announced what might be the most significant developments to their VIP program yet. This involved the introduction of a digital VIP card version, already being tested with selected existing VIP members. That’s merely the beginning, if the LEGO emails being sent to members is any indication.

Our fellow LEGO news source, The Brick Fan, has made public the contents of this message from LEGO regarding upcoming changes to the VIP program. We already know about the implementation of digital cards, but LEGO’s now stressing the importance of having all existing (physical card) VIP accounts registered online.

The biggest part of the news is the new duration of earned LEGO VIP points before they expire. Originally they can only be kept every two years before a member’s point-count is reset to zero.

Two months from now, they’ll only last one-and-a-half years, but potentially they can remain valid “forever.” How is that so? It’s because LEGO VIP’s online digital point meter will reset the 18-month validity of VIP points every time you make a purchase and use your LEGO VIP card doing it.

So even if you buy LEGO only once every 18 months, that’ll restart the “validity clock” all over again. Technically that means what points you don’t use will remain okay to use forever; awesome, right?

One last thing: LEGO recommends that registering multiple VIP accounts in your name be done with a unique email address for each. Otherwise you might see different accounts using the same email address end up being merged by the online VIP system. Conversely, if a single registered VIP account has more than one email address registered to it, it might be split into separate ones.

Early LEGO Black Friday Offers Coming This Weekend

News and details of LEGO Black Friday offers are slowly coming in ahead of the year’s super sale event next week. LEGO has sent out word via email that LEGO VIPs are in for a treat this Friday with its early Black Friday shopping event at all LEGO Stores and at LEGO Shop @Home. During the weekend from November 17 to 18, LEGO VIP members will earn double points on any LEGO purchase made during the upcoming weekends.

LEGO Double VIP

LEGO is also throwing in the seasonal gift-with purchase set, LEGO Christmas Box (40292) for free, for every single receipt purchase of any LEGO products worth $99 and more. This is a great head start if you wish to add to those sweet double VIP points while being one of the first of those to bring home the Christmas Box (40292) freebie.

40292 1

Of course, it’s a matter of weighing in your choices between the nice incentives that LEGO will be offering this weekend, and between the insanely great discounts that LEGO has in store come Black Friday. Either way around, you’ll still have the better end of the best deals that LEGO has to offer. Be sure to visit shop.LEGO.com for more details.

LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043) Now At Double VIP Points

October ended last week, and with it the mind-blowing promo on LEGO Shop@Home that had been Double VIP points for everything. However, while that blanket double-points period no longer is, it’s merely reverted to having that “VIP point buff” on specific LEGO sets. And with November having started, that means there’s a new LEGO set or two that has been designated as worth double the VIP points upon purchase on Shop@Home for the rest of the month. That lucky set is one of the biggest releases of 2018, the LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043).

That’s right – the LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043) is going for double the VIP points for this month until November 30. At $399.99, the amount of VIP points you would get for buying this now on Shop@Home is potentially staggering.

LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043)

The LEGO Hogwarts Castle (71043) is one of largest sets ever designed, and it’s understandable that the characters included in it were rendered as nanofigures. Replicated details are the Great Hall and main castle structure, plus outlying landmarks like the Whomping Willow, Hagrid’s hut and the First-Year boats. There’s also an army of microfigures to populate the LEGO Hogwarts, as well as bonus minifigures of the school’s great founders.

To refresh your memory with the uberness of the LEGO Hogwarts (71043), if you haven’t gotten one of your own yet, be sure to check out its designer video. Purchasing the set this month will feel appropriate especially with Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald premiering next week.

LEGO Double VIP Points Ends Today

It started earlier this month when LEGO Shop@Home decided to make certain LEGO Star Wars sets worth double VIP points. That’s expected as the year comes to a close. What probably wasn’t was LEGO announcing in mid-October that ALL Shop@Home purchases will be twice the VIP points until the month’s end.

Online shopping at LEGO must have been super hectic in days past, and all good things eventually comes to an end. This day is also our last chance to earn those sweet VIP points, that means the 2x VIP frenzy for this period will be coming to an end. It was a good run, and hopefully many have taken advantage of the multiplier when buying the big new sets like LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043) and LEGO Creator Winter Village Fire Station (10263).

LEGO Minifigure Collector Frame (5005359)

October 31 also marks the end of the promo period for the LEGO Minifigure Collector Frame (5005359), free for every minimum single-receipt purchase of $75. Though supposedly, the minifigure collector frame should still be available today, as per promo schedule, as of this writing, it seems that this collectible set is no longer available at LEGO Shop@Home.

While it’s something of a downer that the Double VIP Points promo period won’t last all the way to the holidays, shoppers on LEGO Shop@Home are sure to be thankful for this generous gesture. The accumulated stock of these VIP points would go a long way towards any LEGO sets yet to come in the future.

LEGO Double VIP Points Promo Now Up At LEGO Shop@Home

Every now and then, LEGO launches a small period wherein certain purchases at Shop@Home made under a VIP membership will accumulate double the usual points. We saw that in action earlier this month when LEGO Shop@Home introduced Double Points for purchasing two particular LEGO Star Wars sets, particularly the X-Wing Starfighter (75218) and Yoda’s Hut (75208). Apparently LEGO is feeling more generous as October gets to the halfway point and the Holidays start coming in force. Well as of this writing, they have Shop@Home holding a LEGO double VIP points promo to last until the 31st, and this time it’s now available for all LEGO purchases.

Through out the month of October, all online LEGO VIP shoppers at Shop@Home will be getting double VIP points on all LEGO products purchased this month. If shoppers have held off on buying those big, new LEGO sets such as the Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (71043) and the more holiday-appropriate Creator Winter Village Fire Station (10263), then it will be wise to take advantage of the LEGO double VIP points promo while it is still up.

It probably also bears reminding that this is also the beginning of the promo period for the LEGO Minifigure Collector Frame (5005359), with one exclusive collectible minifigure. It comes free with any minimum LEGO purchase of $75, and a must for minifigure collectors.

These LEGO Star Wars Sets Now Come With Double VIP Points

One thing we’ve noticed about the LEGO VIP program is that it has a tendency to be tied to the LEGO Star Wars product line, perhaps more than all others. We need look no further than the glossy Black VIP Card first introduced in the hectic days of the mammoth UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) set. Every now and then, LEGO pulls some promotional deals of assigning double VIP points to purchases of specific LEGO sets for a set duration. These promos aren’t usually broadcast so blatantly by LEGO in advertising, though they can be checked by VIP members on their account info page at LEGO Shop@Home.

75218 1 75218 alt1

With the start of a new month, LEGO has refreshed its selection of LEGO sets that will earn double VIP points when bought. For October that will be a couple of LEGO Star Wars sets, in particular the 2018 LEGO Star Wars X-Wing Starfighter (75218) and Yoda’s Hut (75208).

75208 1 75208 alt1

There’s a lot of VIP points to be doubled with either of these, with Yoda’s Hut (75208) carrying an estimated 59 (118 when doubled) and the X-Wing a hefty 159 (318 ditto). The double points are in effect when buying the sets until the end of October, so if you haven’t gotten them yet, now’s the best time to add them to your LEGO Star Wars collection.

Free LEGO Scarecrow Witch (40285) for VIP Members in October

There many good reasons for dedicated LEGO fans who shop for their sets straight from LEGO to get into their VIP loyalty program. From getting points towards rewards, exclusive early access to sought-after upcoming sets, and more besides, what’s not to like? LEGO VIP opens up a lot of possibilities. Another perk of the VIP program was the privilege to join in on annual Monthly Mini Build events that are held at certain days of each month in all LEGO Stores. As detailed in the October Store Calendar, the mini build for next month is the LEGO Scarecrow Witch (40285) set .

For two days, October 2 and 3, LEGO Stores will host the Mini Build Event for those interested in getting their own Scarecrow Witch (40285). But first, they must be members of LEGO VIP, and then they need to sign up for a slot during the event. Each day’s hosting only has 120 maximum participants, making 240 in two days.

A LEGO VIP household can register up to four children at once for the Mini Build, and each will receive a set. But as the participatory requirement states, for a child to bring his Scarecrow Witch (40285) home, he must build the set during the event by his own hand.

Registration for LEGO VIPs who want in on the October LEGO Store Mini Build event started last September 15, so it’ll be a race against time for one of those 120 slots in a day. Some LEGO Stores will have their event happen on October 9 and 10 instead, so would-be participants can check availability on the registration form itself.
