These LEGO Creator 2020 Sets Offers a Burger Monster Truck and More

More and more new-for-2020 LEGO sets are gradually making their public debut. So much so that I have to admit that it’s a bit of a challenge to keep up with the wave of these new reveals. Following the recent unveiling of the new 2020 LEGO Star Wars, Ninjago and Technic sets, we now have our first look at the LEGO Creator 2020 sets courtesy of Swiss online retailer Mein Spielzeug.

This collection of new LEGO Creator 2020 sets is by far an impressive bunch, especially that Burger Monster Truck and Fire Dragon. Similar to other sets earlier revealed, we can somehow expect these to be released by January 2020. With these sets already being listed on other third-party retailers, we can somehow expect them to appear at LEGO Shop@Home sometime in December.

I’m particularly excited about that Burger Monster Truck actually, and it’s kind of interesting to see that LEGO opted to include a smaller build that is somehow similar to the controversial LEGO Ideas Space Rocket Ride (40335) promotional that was released way back in June of this year.

In any case, this latest wave of LEGO Creator 3-in-1 sets does not disappoint from a creative standpoint. Which one of these will be your first-day buy? Comment down below and let us know what you think.

More 2020 LEGO Speed Champions Sets Are On Their Way

After seeing two, new 2020 LEGO Speed Champions sets listed at LEGO Shop@Home last week, more news is coming in on what to expect from this continuously popular LEGO theme. Shared online by motoring website Car and Driver, we now have our first look at two additional LEGO Speed Champions sets both set to debut by January 2020. Following the same 8-stud wide design principle introduced to this new breed of LEGO brick speedsters, the LEGO Speed Champions Ferrari F8 Tributo (76895) and the LEGO Speed Champions 1985 Audi Sport quattro S1 (76897) are both 25% bigger than their predecessors.

The Ferrari F8 Tributo (76895) is based on the company’s most recent mid-engine sports car, noted for having Ferrari’s most advanced and powerful V-8 engine as of to date. This brick counterpart comes in at 275 pieces, including the usual minifigure racer.

The 1985 Audi Sport quattro S1 (76897) on the other hand, is more of a throwback to the 80s when this vintage racer was first introduced in a Geneva Motor Show and was once driven by legendary ace racer Michèle Mouton. This set comes in at 250 pieces and includes a similarly colored minifigure driver.

Read on for the rest of these set’s images and be sure to leave a comment down below on which of these 2020 LEGO Speed Champions sets you are most excited about.

LEGO Ninjago 2020 Set Images Revealed

Some third-party retailers continue to roll-out the next wave of LEGO sets for the first half of 2020. After the reveal of 2020’s first wave of LEGO Star Wars sets, Ninjago fans are now catching a glimpse of what to expect from its Season 12 sets, and some that follow the Legacy subtheme. This latest LEGO Ninjago 2020 sets are pretty interesting both in terms of design and the new parts and elements that come with them. Those new game controller sword hilts really caught my attention, plus those new arcade pod cases/pieces offer a lot of new building possibilities.

We can also expect that these new LEGO Ninjago 2020 sets will be released at the ring of the New Year’s bell on January 1st, with some of them appearing a bit early through some retailers. Though this reveal is quite lengthy, there are still some sets missing from this reveal so be sure to stay tuned here in our blogsite for more updates. Thanks again to Promobricks for the heads up.

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Official Set Images Released

They just keep on coming. After their initial confirmation last week by an online retailer, we now have official images of the next wave of LEGO Star Wars 2020 sets to watch out for in the first half of the said year. Courtesy of Promobricks, this collection of new LEGO Star Wars set images represent some of the new vehicles and characters in the upcoming conclusion of the Star Wars saga, The Rise of Skywalker, together with never before seen sets from the prequels and classic Star Wars movies.

I opted to include the expected retail price in Euros so as to have an estimate of how much these new LEGO Star Wars 2020 sets will be. I’m personally looking forward to that TIE Dagger/Sith TIE Fighter as I mentioned in my previous post, and seeing it now in its entirety does not disappoint. And if you’re trying to complete the minifigure roster of the ominous Knights of Ren, then it’s clear that you have to purchase this set, plus that new orange X-Wing Fighter. I’m also digging that Bantha and the way the designers are trying to incorporate more ‘organic’ builds in the Star Wars theme, similar to what they did with the LEGO Star Wars Escape Pod vs Dewback Microfighters (75228).

These sets are slated to be officially released in January 2020, with some of them might be appearing earlier through other third-party retailers. I’m curious to see how the new LEGO Star Wars busts will turn out, but since they are scheduled for a May 2020 release as Promobricks pointed out, then we might wait a bit more before catching a glimpse of these. Missing also from this list is another battle pack inspired by Disney+’s new hit series The Mandalorian. The LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack (75267) comes in at 102 pieces and is expected to retail for around 20 Euros.

Without further ado, check out these crisp, official images and tell me what you think about them in the comments below.

LEGO Technic 2020 Sets Official Images Released

Following the reveal of the app-controlled LEGO Technic Top Gear Rally Car (42109), official images of the rest of LEGO Technic 2020 sets for the first half of the year have also started appearing across various online retailers as jointly reported by Promobricks and Stonewars.

Though they’re intended to appear as part of LEGO’s January 2020 wave of new sets, we can expect that some third-party retailers may release these LEGO Technic 2020 sets as early as December 26, alongside the Top Gear Rally Car. From the get-go, LEGO is still continuing its tradition of 2-in-1 Technic sets, with the inclusion of new, smaller builds that I personally like. Missing from this line up is the LEGO Technic set 42107, but my guess is that we’ll get to hear more about this set in the next few days. Be sure to also check with shop.LEGO.com to get the latest updates as soon as they are listed.

Upcoming LEGO Star Wars 2020 Sets Confirmed By Online Retailer

After giving us a peek at things to come during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Swiss online toy retailer Meinspielzeug has listed what seems to be our first batch of upcoming LEGO Star Wars 2020 sets. Images are still missing of course since its understandable that they may still be under an embargo. However, since we’re just essentially a couple of months away before their January 2020 release, some retailers are now gradually updating their databases.

If you also recall back in August, there was a rumor going around that LEGO might be releasing another set similar to that of the LEGO Star Wars busts that were initially offered as exclusives. As it seems, builds that follow the genre of such sets like the LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader Bust (75227) which was released as a Target 2019 Star Wars Celebration exclusive, and the LEGO Star Wars Sith Trooper Bust (77901) exclusively offered to SDCC 2019 attendees, will now be offered mainstream. Meinspielzeug has now confirmed this, together with a handful of other upcoming LEGO Star Wars sets that you might want to keep tabs with and save on for your post-Christmas LEGO purchases.

Here are some of the listings for these LEGO Star Wars 2020 sets as confirmed on Meinspielzeug’s website. As of now, only the set’s piece count and retail price (in Swiss Francs) are posted, but I guess this will suffice in giving us an early impression of how these sets will measure up.

What I also find interesting is the fact that both the Stormtrooper and Boba Fett Busts seem to have almost twice the number of pieces as compared to its predecessors, giving the impression that they are considerably larger.

Other interesting sets that I’m looking forward to is the Mandalorian Battle Pack and that TIE Dagger. Both are new sets under the LEGO Star Wars theme considering that the former is a direct tie-in under the Disney+ Mandalorian series (which is about to launch in a few hours), while the latter is a new Star Wars vehicle that we will see in the big screen when Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker debuts next month.

So what do you think of this list of new LEGO Star Wars 2020 sets? Which of them are you looking forward to? Comment down below to share your thoughts.

New LEGO Mini Surfer Van Promotional Revealed

LEGO is certainly revving up its upcoming Black Friday deals. After officially confirming the limited edition LEGO Christmas Tree (40338) as its Black Friday gift-with-purchase set, LEGO has added another incentive for those who will be making their purchase during this grandest sale event of the year. Thanks to info shared by The Brick Fan, we now know that besides this seasonal freebie, we will also be receiving the LEGO Mini Surfer Van.

LEGO Mini Surfer Van

As you can notice from this in-store flyer, the LEGO Mini Surfer Van will only be offered as in-store promotional with qualifying purchases of $50 USD and above. I guess this is also another incentive to visit your local LEGO store in spite of the usual busyness of Black Friday. It’s also a nice reward if you’re not planning to make any large LEGO purchases on this day. However, if you want to maximize these LEGO Black Friday deals, then you may want to consider making qualifying purchases that will let you bag both the LEGO Christmas Tree and the LEGO Mini Surfer Van.

Though the minivan build may be a bit underwhelming, however, that surfer minifigure is a nice addition to it. If you notice, the surfer minifigure included in this promotional item is a kind of rehash from 2018’s LEGO Creator Sunshine Surfer Van (31079) and Cruising Adventures (31083), except for the red legs. It features the same tank top shirt with the surfer logo that first appeared in 2011.

Again, remember that the LEGO Mini Surfer Van is a LEGO in-store promotional so you have to make your purchases at your local LEGO brand store for you to get this freebie. You may also want to check with LEGO Shop@Home starting November 25 for LEGO’s Pre-Black Friday deals. Stay tuned here in our Brick Show blog for more updates regarding this year’s Black Friday deals.
