New LEGO March 2023 Polybags Arriving Soon

German retailer JB Spielwaren has updated their home shopping portal once more to now include several new LEGO March 2023 polybags, slated to arrive first thing next month. This range of new polybag offerings covers themes such as Harry Potter, Speed Champions, and Creator themes, and will be available for approximately $3.99 each.

If you recall, the new LEGO Creator polybags included in this upcoming March release were already revealed earlier this January, with the exception of the Quidditch Practice and McLaren Solus GT.

Though the release date mentioned on these polybags are from an overseas retailer, we can safely assume that these new LEGO March 2023 polybags will also be released in the US alongside other LEGO March offerings.  LEGO.com’s building instructions page has been updated to now include listings of these upcoming polybags, though the actual building instructions are still to be published.

In the meantime, let’s take a look at these polybags up close and personal. For more information about these miniature collectibles, you may click on their respective links.

LEGO Postcards 2023 Sets Officially Revealed

Yep, these are not your usual postcards. LEGO.com has officially revealed as part of its 1HY 2023 offering another couple of builds that are truly Instagram-worthy – and yes, they are actually brick-built. Our next wave of LEGO Postcards 2023 sets has been revealed, with two new sets that let you bring home a slice of life from the land down under, and the grandeur of Big Ben and other famous London landmarks in mini-scale formats.

After its successful debut last year with Beijing, New York, and Paris given the LEGO Postcard treatment, LEGO has now revealed that two fine locations will be added to the roster in 2023. The reveal of the LEGO Postcard London is not really new to be exact since it was already announced back in August. However, LEGO opted to push its release date further back to be a part of its 1HY 2023 line-up. And this time around, it will be joined by another perfect mini-scale, brick-built rendition of the Australian outback.

Check out these LEGO Postcards 2023 official images and while you’re at it, you can add them to your LEGO wishlists through their respective affiliate links below.

Get These Creator Polybags During LEGO Day at Macy’s Toys R Us Stores this Saturday

With a lengthy history at its back, it’s no small wonder that the LEGO brand has become quite ubiquitous. No toy retail chain worth its prominence would ever lack LEGO products in stock. And at times, some of the biggest toy store names have entered promotional partnerships with LEGO over the years. The most obvious example of this marketing synergy may well be Toys R Us, home of the annual Bricktober events. Not even the momentary disappearance of TRU in North America dampened this partnership. With Toys R Us back as stores within Macy’s, LEGO’s gearing up to celebrate with them again this coming weekend.

The Brick Fan reports that LEGO Day 2022 is on at Macy’s and their Toys R Us stores. Regular LEGO shoppers at Macy’s better clear calendars on Saturday, October 22. When you drop in at the TRU store-within-the store, they’re in for some nice LEGO collectibles. The pack consists of an issue of “LEGO Life” Magazine, a LEGO-Macy’s-TRU birthday postcard, and 2021’s Creator Clown polybag (30565). And that’s just for when you come in! On your way out you’ll receive another grab bag. This is a collection of various toy brands at Toys R Us Macy’s. LEGO too has an item there: Creator Parrot (30472).

You can tell this will be a fun LEGO Day weekend at Macy’s TRU stores. It’s on at every location, and will be available all Saturday or until the polybag supplies last, whichever comes first.

LEGO Creator London Postcard (40569) NA Release Pushed to 2023

As 2021 came to an end, LEGO announced a new sub-theme series for its Creator line. The “Postcard” sets share similarities with the “skyline” sets from LEGO Architecture, but are aesthetically distinct enough to stand out. Like the name implies, the LEGO Creator Postcards presents scenic locations from various major cities a la Architecture. While both feature stylized brick-built building models, Creator Postcards look a bit more whimsical. So far, four sets of this line have come out, with the first two depicting New York (40519) and Beijing (40520). A later release, curiously, has yet to come to the US.

The Brick Fan has it that the third LEGO Creator Postcard set is delayed in the US. Postcard London (40569) has long launched in other major markets such as in Europe. But in LEGO.com US, the set isn’t going to arrive until next year, of all times. The lengthy postponement for releasing Creator 40569 is rather perplexing, and no explanation’s been given. It’s a shame given that this new line in the LEGO Creator theme’s been selling well. Stateside collectors have the rest of 2022 to go before London Postcard (40569) officially hits North America. A Creator Postcard recap follows:

All Postcard sets priced $14.99.

LEGO Creator Vespa (40517) Joins Expert Version (10298) in LEGO.com Listing

Whenever LEGO sets we first learn of as rumors and speculations are officially announced, we can’t help but feel relieved. After all, the suspenseful wait, learning if a revealed set is true, might end with a LEGO.com product listing. There’s also the matter of whether the advance info was accurate, or if it meant something else. Anyway, the period of uncertainty about the LEGO Creator Expert Vespa (10298) is over as of this weekend. There’s still one part of the initial product rumor that must be addressed however. But that too has become moot with the latest LEGO shop listing.

The Brick Fan tells us that the miniature Vespa (40517) initially rumored alongside the big version is officially listed. Compared to its Creator Expert version (10298), the 40517 edition is obviously small. And yet it captures the distinctive design contours and aesthetics of the Vespa scooter series. Sure it has no rear basket or other accessories, but the vehicle itself is as sweet build. Of course, we’ve known this since the reveal of the set in that January 2022 “group picture.” With its size dimensions, one might be able to pose a LEGO buildable figure set to ride it, even.

But we’re rambling. Here’re some of the official details for the Creator Vespa (40517). Note that it will be launching at the same time as the Creator Expert set (10298).

Vespa (40517)

Age 9+ | 118 pieces | $9.99 | Coming March 1, 2022

Kids can pretend to zip through the streets with this brilliant model of the iconic Vespa (40517) scooter. It features many of the Vespa’s distinctive details, including its handlebars and seat, and comes in a bold red color. A brilliant gift for LEGO® fans aged 9 and up who have a passion for cool vehicles.

  • Authentic features – Kids can play out fun scenes with the LEGO® Creator Vespa scooter and enjoy details such as its distinctive handlebars and seat
  • Creative fun – LEGO® fans aged 9 and up who love vehicles can use the Vespa to play out action-packed stories or add it to other sets for more fun

Rumored LEGO Creator Vespa Seen in Creator High-Speed Train (40518) Rare Promo Image?

You’ve got to love sometimes how retailers sometimes reveal LEGO’s hand before any official product announcements. Towards the end of last month, last year, we got European retailers listing possible LEGO sets in advance. They might be “expected” sets like an alleged upcoming LEGO Marvel buildable character model. Or they might be all-new products from a licensed IP that LEGO hasn’t done before, like “Horizon Zero Dawn.” In any case, these super-early “reveals” are great even if we must consider them rumors prior to official LEGO updates. Speaking of which, we have another one, updating from earlier rumors from late 2021.

Brickset reports that a possible image for a long-rumored LEGO Creator Vespa set appeared in promo images of another set. Said images came from the Creator High-Speed Train (40518), seen first in Hungarian online retailer Kocka. Note that a Creator Vespa set rumored to become a GWP was numbered 40517, one digit off. The image showed a red brick-built Vespa alongside the High-Speed Train and past Creator sets. The Creator London Bus (40220) is there alongside Creator Yellow Taxi (40468) and Tuk Tuk (40469). It looks like a LEGO Creator public transport set showcase. Said image also doesn’t appear in 40518’s official LEGO.com listing.

But if Creator High-Speed Train (40518) is already listed, what about this red Vespa, potentially GWP set 40517? Did LEGO postpone or cancel it similar to their latest Marvel Mech Armors? We could certainly use some clarifications, especially considering there’s another rumored Vespa set. Regarding the larger, potentially Creator Expert Vespa (10298), we heard no further speculation. At least for the moment, the January 1 LEGO product launch blitz isn’t making collectors miss much.

LEGO Creator Skiing Santa Still Active In-Store GWP in UK, Europe Until Dec. 24

When it came to special offers in the vein of GWPs, the December 2021 LEGO Store Calendar was…sparse. Only one item was listed there, and only available in-store instead of online. That would be a Creator polybag with the figure of a jolly Skiing Santa Claus (30580). It could be earned free for every in-store LEGO purchase over $40, from December 1 to 14. Well, that promo period has come and gone since last week, at least in the US. As Brick Fanatics tells it however, Skiing Santa Claus is still around in Europe. And he’s staying until Christmas Eve.

Indeed, it can be seen as such in the Offers & Sale page of LEGO.com for GB. Creator Skiing Santa Claus (30580) remains active in-store GWP not just in the UK but Europe too. As with the now-ended US edition, the buildable figure polybag is earned with in-store LEGO purchases over 40. That’s in pounds or euros depending on where. It also goes hand-in-hand with the full seasonal set Santa’s Front Yard (40484). This similarly long-running GWP goes for both in-store and online orders over £170/€170. Both it and Skiing Santa are available right until December 24, quite appropriate enough.
