New LEGO March 2023 Polybags Arriving Soon

German retailer JB Spielwaren has updated their home shopping portal once more to now include several new LEGO March 2023 polybags, slated to arrive first thing next month. LEGO Speed Champions 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) Pays Tribute to Brian O’Conner

LEGO has unveiled its first LEGO Speed Champions set for 2023 and LEGO fans of the Fast and Furious franchise will never want to miss out on this. Inspired by the second film of the action-packed saga, the LEGO Speed Champions 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) will speed its way to LEGO stores and online beginning January 1, 2023.

With the introduction of Dom Toretto’s Dodge Charger R/T in LEGO brick form last year (plus the only set with the iconic character’s minifigure rendition), fans will be thrilled that his counterpart, Brian O’Conner, will also be getting the LEGO minifigure treatment. I’m just excited to see these two LEGO Speed Champions sets alongside each other.

Coming in at 319 pieces, the LEGO Speed Champions 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) features the street racer’s recognizable side stripes, back wings, and front grille. Plus, the O’Conner minifigure wraps up everything that is special with this latest LEGO offering. Check out the images below together with its official product description.

This is surely on top of my LEGO Speed Champions wishlist for 2023. How about you?

This buildable LEGO® Speed Champions Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) replica model (76917) has been inspired by the iconic car from the 2 Fast 2 Furious movie. Kids aged 9+, car lovers, and fans of the popular movie franchise can experience a rewarding build before proudly displaying this car toy or recreating fast-paced street racing scenes. This Fast & Furious toy is packed with authentic details from the real-life model, including iconic livery on the side, a wing at the back, a grille on the front, impressive wheel arches, and a nitro fuel canister on the passenger seat. There is also a Brian O’Conner minifigure to place in the driver’s seat so car fans can enjoy all-action role-play.

Rumor: New LEGO Speed Champions Releasing Q1 2023

Much like clockwork, the LEGO speculation and rumor mill has intensified towards the end of this year. The subject, naturally, is what new sets we might expect to arrive the following year. Social media tends to be a principal source of these tantalizing tidbits of future LEGO info. For instance, here are some new rumors coming from Instagram regarding LEGO Speed Champions. The car-based theme that’s been the “middle ground” between LEGO City and Technic continues churning out new sets. LEGO sources have also commented on a shifting trend for the line. And now we have some 2023 sets rumored to be coming as well.

Thanks to Brick Fanatics, we have this kernel of speculation on some upcoming LEGO Speed Champions launches. Instagram user @awesome_brick2008 gives us five possible sets. Of these, only one is a two-car combo set. Speed Champions was especially fond of twofers in their past product launches. Apparently, they’re toning that down and focusing on single-car sets come 2023. And again, LEGO’s gunning for licensed cars that have been featured in the “Fast & Furious” film franchise. And these five are just for the first quarter launch period. Here’s what to expect from them next year:

  • Ferrari 812 Competizione (76914)
  • Pagani Utopia (76915)
  • Porsche 963 (76916)
  • “Fast & Furious” Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 (76917)
  • McLaren F1 LM & McLaren Solus GT (76918)

The “F&F” Nissan will be a New Years 2023 release, with the rest coming later in March. At least that’s how the rumor goes. So until LEGO officially speaks up on this then, it’s best to take the news with a grain of salt.

LEGO GWP Polybags Now Available: Speed Champions Aston Martin AMR Pro and City Go-Kart

A week into June 2022, LEGO has a new set of GWPs beginning their promo period now. Both items are polybags, and they ought to catch the fancy of automobile aficionados looking for quick builds. One is for the Speed Champions line, which already has new releases this year. The other is a minifigure-scale vehicle for the LEGO City line. According to Brickset, both gift-with-purchase polybags have the same purchase price threshold. One promo period ends sooner than the other though, so here’s the lowdown on these promotional automotive polybags.

30434 1

First is the LEGO Speed Champions Aston Martin AMR Pro (30434). From this Tuesday, June 7, one can get it with a minimum LEGO purchase of $40.

30589 1

It’s the same price deal for the LEGO City Go-Kart Racer (30589). About the only difference is the end of its GWP period. The City polybag wraps up on the 14th, while its Speed Champions counterpart won’t be until June 19. Of course, both also depend on while their respective stocks last. The Aston Martin polybag’s being touted by LEGO as a nice extra for a Father’s Day LEGO purchase. The City Go-Kart’s more for an everyday gift. These GWPs are available on both LEGO.com and LEGO Stores.

German Retailer Lists Multiple Upcoming LEGO Sets Including Optimus Prime (10302), More Ninjago

Through thick and thin, LEGO strives to maintain a regular product release schedule year in and out. And while the best source on set launches would be LEGO themselves, sometimes retailers would jump the gun. These early announcements can contain the most exciting LEGO set notices, which we must wait for until confirmed or debunked. Last February we caught wind of a LEGO set for a mega-franchise from fellow toy giant Hasbro. Who could imagine a LEGO-Hasbro collaboration to make LEGO Transformers? That rumor, plus other LEGO items, just got their advance product reveal courtesy of an online German retailer.

The Brick Fan tells us that some upcoming LEGO sets now grace the online listings of Wagner’s in Germany. This listing includes the aforementioned long-rumored LEGO Optimus Prime (10302), from Hasbro’s “Transformers.” Not your thing? How about tie-ins for James Cameron’s “Avatar” particularly the sequel arriving late this year? We also have early mentions of the expected 2022 Advent Calendars, if you collect those. Here’s a rundown of what to expect from several major LEGO themes all through the year.

LEGO Speed Champion Sets Coming March 1 Now Listed on LEGO.com

We’ve got more March 1 LEGO release info coming your way, this time courtesy of Brick Fanatics. Next on the reveal train is LEGO Speed Champions. These sets we first learned of back in October of last year. They served as confirmation that LEGO will indeed see the Speed Champions line with new stuff through 2023. Five sets were teased back then, although only four of them were named at the time. Now, all cards are finally on the table. And unlike the Creator 3-in-1 sets we found on a German retailer, these ones are officially added to LEGO shop.

The above is a social media post from LEGO regarding their Speed Champion sets coming March 1. All cars are on display. Since we know one of the revealed numbers was a double-vehicle set, this confirms the unnamed item as a double-car. But we’ll let the listings speak for themselves.

Rumor: Creator Expert 007 Aston Martin, Technic Fast & Furious Dodge Charger Become Speed Champions Sets in 2022

Over the past few days, LEGO news sources have been speculating over some multiple set listings on retailer electriBricks.com. From there we got reports of an expected LEGO Technic supercar set delayed to next year. Major rumor has it that it may be a model of the similarly-delayed Tesla Cybertruck. Several numbered products titled “Coconut” also gained significant attention. The name seems to hint that they could be a new wave of LEGO Indiana Jones sets. Note that the theme last saw releases in 2009. On the vein of licensed-IP LEGO sets, we have more rumors for 2022 Speed Champions.

From Promobricks.de we get this juicy speculation on more electricBrick retail listings, for LEGO Speed Champions this year. We’ve two of eight sets supposedly releasing for the theme this year, numbered 76911 and 76912. Promobricks tells us that these sets are based on two action-movie franchises with notable automotive focus. Furthermore, the source franchises already have prior LEGO set depictions. What do you say to new Speed Champions “James Bond” and “Fast & Furious” car sets? The former made waves in 2019 via the Creator Expert Aston Martin DB5 (10262). The latter got repped by Dom’s Dodge Charger (42111) last year on LEGO Technic.

One factor for excitement at these rumored Speed Champions sets are the accompanying character minifigures. Think about it: James Bond 007 and Dom Toretto minifigs! Both would be the first character depictions from the two IPs for LEGO. Vin Diesel’s Dom is a no-brainer, though there are multiple options for the likeness of minifigure!Bond. Several other 2022 Speed Champions items were rumored as early as October last year. We’ll compile them here anew for reference:

LEGO Champions 2022 Releases

  • Ferrari 512 M (76906) – 291 pieces | €19.99/$23.22
  • Lotus Evija (76907) – 291 pieces | €19.99/$23.22
  • Lamborghini Countach (76908) – 262 pieces | €19.99/$23.22
  • Set 76909 – €29.99/$34.17
  • Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR PRO & Aston Martin Vantage GT 3 (76910) – 592 pieces | €39.99/$46.46

  • James Bond Aston Martin DB5 (76911)
