LEGO Shop@Home has been recently updated to include a handful of Triple Force Friday promos that you may find attractive. Aside from the new LEGO sets that are based on the upcoming The Rise of Skywalker film and Disney+’s The Mandalorian, all of which are slated to be officially released on October 4, LEGO is spicing up our next brick purchase with these nice promos.
First off, we have the exclusive gift-with-purchase LEGO Star Wars Battle of Endor 20th Anniversary Edition (40362) set. This GWP set will be automatically added to your cart both in-store and online for a minimum qualifying purchase of LEGO Star Wars products worth $75 USD or more. Expect this freebie to be hugely popular, and with a relatively short window of opportunity to get this 197-piece commemorative brick diorama, I’m pretty sure supplies will run out fast.
Double VIP points are a somewhat regular staple of LEGO promotions. However, what we are excited to know about are which LEGO Star Wars sets will entitle you to those precious double VIP points. And on top of that, LEGO will also offer its usual price cuts on some selected LEGO Star Wars sets from October 4 to 6. Do take note that historically, these heavily discounted LEGO Star Wars sets usually runs out even during the initial hours of Force Friday deals. It will be helpful to keep a close eye on LEGO Shop@Home if you wish to bag that long-awaited LEGO set that you have kept on your radars. I’m not sure as of this moment which LEGO Star Wars sets will carry the Triple Force Friday discounts, but I’m somewhat hoping LEGO will include those larger, hard-to-find sets such as the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192), the LEGO Star Wars Tantive IV (75244) or the LEGO Star Wars UCS Y-Wing Starfighter (75181).
And finally, for those of you who are looking forward to having your Triple Force Friday purchases in-stores, then LEGO has a special treat for all loyal store visitors. An In-Store Make and Take micro build of a Luke Skywalker Timeline will be given away to participants. Like other LEGO Store make and take events, expect that this promo may require pre-registration so be sure to drop by at the nearest LEGO brand store in your area.
Be sure to check back with us for more info on these LEGO Star Wars Triple Force Friday deals. I’ll keep you posted once these promos go live next week.
Earlier this year, LEGO Star Wars fans in the US had a blast with LEGO’s May the 4th Be With You promos which included an exclusive freebie, theLEGO Star Wars Battle of Hoth – 20th Anniversary Edition (40333). This commemorative LEGO set was given for free for every single-receipt, qualifying LEGO Star Wars purchases worth $75 USD and above. I’m not really sure if this promotional was made available back then in other parts of the globe, particularly in Europe. But in case your in the European region as you’re reading this and you missed out on this limited-edition LEGO set, then you might notice already that it has been appearing in your LEGO Shop@Home cart if your LEGO Star Wars purchases have totalled £75/€75 and more.
LEGO fans in the UK, France, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Ireland, and the rest of Europe have until October 3 before the launch of Triple Force Friday to avail of the LEGO Star Wars Battle of Hoth promotional item. On top of this, you might know already that one of the LEGO Star Wars promos for Triple Force Friday is the similarly scaled diorama of the LEGO Star Wars Battle of Endor – 20th Anniversary Edition (40362) which will go live just after midnight of October 3. If you’re looking forward to having these sets, then it’s imperative that you plan your next LEGO Star Wars purchase thoroughly.
Other than these collectible freebies, Triple Force Friday will see the return of Double VIP points and huge price cuts on select LEGO Star Wars sets. LEGO Star Wars fans in the US will also have the opportunity of making the most out of the Triple Force Friday midnight sales of October 3 at LEGO Stores in various Disneyland locations.
Again, if you intend to have the LEGO Star Wars Battle of Hoth commemorative set then be sure to make that purchase before October 3. May the brick force be with you.
If there is one thing that is sorely missed by LEGO fans from the now virtually defunct Toys R Us, are the various LEGO promos that the mega toy store launches at this time of the year. Dubbed as LEGO Toys R Us Bricktober promos, this LEGO TRU promotional offers a buying incentive to LEGO fans who will make their LEGO purchases at TRU during specified weeks in the month of October. After TRU’s demise in the first quarter of 2018, LEGO fans have a lot to get used to particularly with the fact that the annual LEGO Toys R Us Bricktober promos will no longer be around. Indeed, one may say that there were still last year’s LEGO TRU Bricktober Marvel, Harry Potter, and Jurassic World exclusive collectible minifigures promo. But their very limited release and the relative difficulty of obtaining them gave the impression that LEGO may just be getting rid of these promotional minifigs which the company has already prepared way before Toys R Us in the US eventually closed.
However, this may not be the case with other regional Toys R Us branches in other parts of the globe. Essentially, these TRU branches are independent of their US counterpart, and LEGO fans in these regions may still be able to enjoy their annual LEGO TRU Bricktober promos. Brickfinder reports that in Asia, it can be seen that Bricktober is still alive and kicking. In particular, TRU stores in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan and the Philippines are still carrying the highly popular promotions.
This year’s LEGO Toys R Us Bricktober regional promo features a mini-scaled diorama of the four seasons, highlighting certain places and attractions in the Asian region. In case you need to know, here are the following dates when these Bricktober sets will be available in the abovementioned participating countries, including the price points for qualifying purchases converted in USD based on prevailing foreign exchange rates.

It’s great to hear that even though LEGO Toys R Us promos are basically dead in the US, there are other TRU Asian stores that still carry the sought-after LEGO promotional. Unless you are currently residing in these territories, then for LEGO fans outside of Southeast Asia, these Bricktober sets will most probably be available in secondary markets such as eBay.
I have to say that this LEGO promo somehow fell off my radar. This week has been a pretty tough one for me, with a double whammy of coughs and cold that I have to deal with during this unholy flu season. In any case, if you have some LEGO shopping that needs to be done soon, then you might want to do it today for some free LEGO merchandise along the way. With a few remaining hours left, you still have a chance to add the LEGO Storage Bucket (5005630) into your shopping cart at LEGO Shop@Home.
For every single-receipt purchase of any LEGO products and merchandise worth $100 USD and more, you’ll get this free LEGO Storage Bucket, or until supplies last.

After LEGO has officially unveiled its initial wave of sets based off from the upcoming Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker film, brick fans of the highly celebrated franchise will also get additional LEGO Star Wars sets to include in their collection. As I’ve mentioned before, this may strictly no longer come in as a surprise since these sets were made available already by some third-party retailers ahead of their scheduled embargo. These sets even landed on the hands of some LEGO reviewers across YouTube so most of you may already have a good grasp on what these new LEGO Star Wars sets have to offer. But in any case, and if for some reason, you haven’t kept tabs on what’s happening lately on this side of the brick galaxy, then read on for full product descriptions and some crisp, close-up images of these sets. These and much more are all slated for an official global release during next week’s Triple Force Friday.
Other than LEGO Star Wars The Rise of the Skywalker tie-in sets, these new LEGO sets are based on some of the early Star Wars films, and one which takes inspiration from the upcoming Disney+ series, The Mandalorian. As of this posting, these sets are not yet listed at LEGO Shop@Home but we can be sure that these sets will go live once Triple Force Friday kicks in on October 4th.

Originally designed by Spanish audio-visual artist Pablo Jimenez (aka Bricky_Brick over at LEGO Ideas), the LEGO Ideas Pirate Bay is a modular set that every fan of the classic LEGO Pirates will surely want to have. It has been four years ago when LEGO released its last pirate-inspired sets since the theme’s inception way back in 1989. Undoubtedly, this is one of LEGO’s most beloved and successful original creations, and seeing the LEGO Ideas Pirate Bay finally becoming a reality as an official LEGO set seems to be long overdue. The best part of it is that the brick-built pirate fortress follows a modular design similar to the likes of the LEGO Ideas Old Fishing Store (21310).
Pablo’s original design clocks in at somewhere between 2,550 to 2,650 pieces and includes seven (7) pirate minifigures. It also features four (4) interchangeable levels that highlight some of the things that a sea-loving pirate would love to do: having a hearty meal, manning the cannons, and planning their next adventure on the high seas.
The LEGO Ideas Pirate Bay
Prepare the cannons sailors, you have to defend the bay!
Welcome to the impregnable pirate fortress, house of Red beard, many sailors fear these waters, the most dangerous pirates make their stop here. Be careful not to be locked in jail or possibly the only place you can be, as long as you do not find the secret exit.
There is a rumor, they say that there is a treasure map, it is believed that it is below the canteen, many of them are looking for the treasure but none of them have yet achieved it. Will you be able to find it?
It is time to return to the classics and what better than this super bastion built on shipwrecks, with traps like the pendular anchor that warns unexpected visitors and the dog and the monkey guardian. The food is delicious in our tavern, many pirates only stop to eat here. In this small pirate town we find a small farm with pigs and chickens, lobsters crabs and fish, also delight this area.
A Modular set that includes 7 minifigures and: 1 monkey, 1 scorpion, 3 crabs, 3 hens, two pigs, 3 parrots, a shark, and a dog.
The LEGO Ideas Pirate Bay is tentatively scheduled for release some time next year, and with two other equally impressive LEGO Ideas sets that go along with it, 2020 is certainly a great year to be a LEGO Ideas fan. Again, our warmest congratulations to Pablo Jimenez and to all who made this next LEGO set possible.
Following the announcement of the LEGO Ideas 123 Sesame Street as our next LEGO Ideas set, the First 2019 Review Results also included another set that eventually received the thumbs up from the LEGO Ideas Design Team. If you recall earlier in May this year, the LEGO Ideas Playable Piano project by Donny Chen (aka SleepyCow over at LEGO Ideas) required further review due to the intricate details and sheer complexity in building the project’s various moving parts and features. Now after four months of waiting, I’m glad that this LEGO Ideas project finally got the green light in becoming an official LEGO set.
The LEGO Ideas Playable Piano is clearly a work of passion for Donny. Being a piano teacher himself, he designed the Playable Piano with expert knowledge on its various moving parts and complex internal mechanism. The attention to detail that Donny devoted to this set is impressive in itself. The original design is made up of 2,798 LEGO pieces that recreate a working grand piano. Here’s a brief description of this set, followed by a brief video that shows us some of the play features on this upcoming set.
The Concert Grand Piano, one of the most complex instruments of all time, is now in Lego form.
Built entirely from 2798 authentic LEGO bricks, it accurately captures the mechanical details of a real piano, featuring:
Removable keyboard with 25 independent working keys, each key connects to its own hammer.
Working damper and pedal function.
25 strings.
Realistic piano lid which can be open either half stick of full stick.
Realistic fallboard with a soft close.
Removable music stand.
Height adjustable piano bench.
Self-playing function enabled by adding PowerFunction, which allows keys to play at different tempos and rhythms.
Realistic piano wheels.
The LEGO Ideas Playable Piano is set to be released sometime next year, with the LEGO Ideas Design Team working hard to perfect this masterpiece. Congratulations Donny Chen, and I can’t wait to build this next superb LEGO Ideas set.
Well, this might not be entirely new and some with even dare say that this is no surprise. But LEGO has finally lifted a rather broken embargo when it officially announced the LEGO Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker sets alongside other new LSW sets based from the classic films and Disney+’s The Mandalorian. The official reveal came just in time for Triple Force Friday which will launch next week on October 4th. However, it is already known that several retailers both online and in-store, have already put these LEGO Star Wars sets on their shelves which allowed several LEGO fan YouTubers to legally purchase and review them. In any case, whether you’re surprised by it or not, here’s a closer look at these LEGO Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker sets and what you can expect from them.

The results are in: and it looks like we have another LEGO Ideas set that is destined to be a hit among AFOLs who grew up in the company of Elmo, Big Bird, Bert & Ernie and other memorable characters of the iconic children’s television show Sesame Street. The LEGO Ideas First 2019 Review results were finally announced, and wow, I’m really proud and happy for this one. If you recall earlier this year, we have high hopes for Ivan Guerrero’s (aka bulldoozer21 on LEGO Ideas) 123 Sesame Street project as it gathers the necessary votes in becoming the next LEGO Ideas set. Now thanks to the support and vote of confidence of more than 10,000 LEGO fans around the world, we can finally see this new LEGO set come to life.
In my opinion, the LEGO Ideas 123 Sesame Street symbolizes a perfect union between LEGO and PBS, with both companies giving a premium on the value of creative play among children. I literally grew up and learned my ABCs thanks to Sesame Street which were hugely popular in the Philippines during the 1980s. So seeing this set becoming an official LEGO Ideas set really feels quite nostalgic, similar to how excited I was when Lendy Tayag’s LEGO Ideas Voltron (21311) became a reality. Another reason why I’m so proud in seeing this original brick creation become an officially approved LEGO Ideas set is the fact that this is another testament to the creative genius of the Filipino AFOL community. The LEGO Ideas 123 Sesame Street is the 2nd LEGO Ideas set originally designed by a Filipino, following the likes of Lendy Tayag and his LEGO Ideas Voltron.
Ivan’s original design for the LEGO Ideas 123 Sesame Street comes in at 2,945 pieces but we can expect this to be tentative since the LEGO Design Team will still introduce some adjustments before its debut sometime next year. The official set is also expected to feature a huge collection of new minifigures of some of the popular characters on Sesame Street including Bob, Gordon, Susan, Bert, Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, Biff, Sully, Ernie, Cookie Monster, Count von Count, Prairie Dawn, Grover, and Elmo. Each portion of the iconic Sesame Street apartment features several memorable episodes of the TV show in which AFOLs who grew up with the series will surely recognize.
To know more on how this set was created, be sure to read on Ivan’s 10K Club Interview over at the LEGO Ideas blog site. Again, congratulations Ivan Guerrero and hope to see your LEGO Ideas 123 Sesame Street on store shelves very soon.
As you may have noticed by now, LEGO is continually testing the boundaries of brick-inspired play with computer coding in its latest LEGO sets. A good example of this is the recently released LEGO Star Wars BOOST Droid Commander (75253), and the many possibilities in which you can design these miniature robotic droids to do simple tasks. And this time around, LEGO robotics enthusiasts will be glad to know that The LEGO Group and Amazon have teamed up to offer a leveled-up, building and robotics challenge that comes with a very appealing ultimate prize package. The LEGO Mindstorms Voice Challenge: Powered by Alexa gives the opportunity for talented LEGO builders and coders to present their most creative and technically superb brick robots using the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 (31313) set operated and controlled by Amazon’s Alexa.
The grand prize winner will receive a hefty amount of Amazon gift cards worth $20,000 USD and a couple of LEGO Technic sets particularly the 4×4 X-treme Off-Roader (42099) and the humongous Liebherr R 9800 Excavator (42100). To top it off, the ultimate champion will also get to have an all-expense-paid trip to LEGO Headquarters in Denmark to have a tour of the LEGO House, interact with LEGO toy designers, and have their creation featured at LEGO World in Copenhagen. There will also be several prizes to be given away to five (5) finalists and a Bonus Prize will be given away for the Best Creation by a 13-17 Year Old. Furthermore, the first 100 submissions/participants (those who have completed the registration process) will be automatically entitled to Amazon Gift Cards worth $150 USD.
The LEGO Mindstorms Voice Challenge: Powered by Alexa building contest will receive entries until December 31, 2019 at 11:59PM PT. Watch the following video for an overview of this building contest, plus don’t forget the finer details of the contest rules right here.
So are you up for this next level robotics challenge? Let me know in the comments below.
