LEGO Joins Marvel Studios 10th Anniversary with “Infinity War” Promotional Poster…in LEGO Minifigures

Cross-promotion is the way of the market these days. We already know that LEGO has released an impressive wave of tie-in merchandise for Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War premiering next week, but now, they’ve also decided to lend a hand in promoting the film studios first decade, in poster form.

Collaboration between Marvel Entertainment and LEGO has resulted in what’s probably the coolest promotional poster for the Infinity War movie; plus it joins the rest of the other quirky special events already done to celebrate “The First Ten Years” for Marvel Studios, architects of the box office-breaking MCU franchise phenomenon.

Two months ago, Marvel released a golden Infinity War/10 Years poster, depicting characters from the Avengers, Asgardians, SHIELD, Guardians of the Galaxy, and other corners of the MCU in a group shot, with Iron Man high above them. LEGO has replicated that poster using their minifigures from their tie-in sets.

It’s got Vision; it’s got Loki; there is Hawkeye, Star-Lord, (a miniaturized) Ant-Man, Falcon, blonde Black Widow, Nomad Captain America, Nick Fury, and even Black Panther and Okoye. Finally, minifigure Tony in his Iron Man armor is zooming away with clear repulsor add-on elements on his hands and feet slots.

As expected, no X-Men (still with Fox) but strangely, no Spider-Man either. One can collect all these minifigures featured in the posted by getting all the Infinity War tie-in sets that are available now. They’ve got BrickHeadz figures too. And Avengers: Infinity War arrives on April 27 in US theaters.

It’s kind of like the custom cover thing for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, come to think of it; except this is for a Marvel milestone.

Official Images of the LEGO BrickHeadz Tactical Batman and Superman (41610) Released Online

Last week, the May LEGO Store Calendar revealed the arrival of another LEGO BrickHeadz set which completes the entire roster of DCEU’s Justice League characters rendered in bricks. We were informed that a LEGO BrickHeadz Justice League Tactical Batman and Superman (41610) will be arriving in May, and this time around, a Russian LEGO certified store gives us a complete look at what we can expect from this newest LEGO BrickHeadz duo. This new dual-pack LEGO BrickHeadz set is expected to retail in the US for $19.99. Check out these crisp, official images.

LEGO Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom Sets Now Available!

Finally, after several months of waiting, the entire range of LEGO Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom sets are now available both online and in-store in the US, including a dedicated selection for the LEGO Juniors and Duplo lines, and a LEGO BrickHeadz Owen and Blue (41614) dual-pack as well. On top of that, LEGO has also released a commemorative Jurassic Park set, the Jurassic Park Velociraptor Chase (75932), which will definitely be popular among fans of the franchise. This LEGO Jurassic World subtheme’s obvious selling points are the relatively new big fig dinos that goes with the sets, most noticeable is the sinister looking (and a bit film spoilery) hybrid Indoraptor. Latest LEGO Rebrick “Your Brick Selfie Contest” Confirms 23 New BrickHeadz For This Year

A couple of days of ago, we reported on a recent LEGO Rebrick Contest that focuses on the most creative way of giving yourself a LEGO BrickHeadz treatment. The Your Brick Selfie Contest gives you the chance to render yourself in LEGO bricks and make your very own BrickHeadz version of yourself. Like similar Rebrick contests, the selling point of these brick-building competitions are the prizes at stake. According to LEGO Rebrick’s contest page, the Grand Prize Winner will bring home not just this year’s first round of BrickHeadz sets, but also those that are yet to be announced – all 23 of them to be exact, with 12 of these being retailer exclusives.

Earlier last March, we also manage to stumble upon a rumor that gives us a hint on what these future LEGO BrickHeadz sets might be. We managed to see some of these, and a recent Reddit post somehow gives credence to what these 23 upcoming BrickHeadz are. LEGO Juniors Elastigirl’s Rooftop Pursuit (10759) Reveals Incredibles 2’s Villain

WARNING: NOT-SO-MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD.

The official trailer for Disney Pixar’s Incredibles 2 has been dropped over the Internet, and with it comes the revelation of the film’s main villain. If you saw the trailer already , then you may have noticed that it teased on the ominous character of ScreenSlaver.

The trailer didn’t reveal much about this new superhero nemesis. However, it can be seen that ScreenSlaver has the ability to use TV signals as a way to mindlessly control people like a sort of hypnosis. It can prove to be disastrous, considering the scope of its effect and the sinister things that ScreenSlaver can do to people under his control.

Though the trailer didn’t reveal much about ScreenSlaver, we can get a few ideas of his inner workings, and the manner in which his hypnosis works. Thanks to Amazon’s current listing just in time with the trailer’s release, the LEGO Juniors Elastigirl’s Rooftop Pursuit (10759) sheds some light on how ScreenSlaver will put his plans into motion, and how Elastigirl (aka Mrs. Incredible) will be able to stop him. Perhaps this major plot point is the consideration why LEGO did not reveal this set right away when it revealed its first LEGO Juniors Incredibles 2 sets.

LEGO Releases A Ton Of Official Images For Its Final Three LEGO Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom Sets

For those of you who are closely following LEGO’s reveal of its latest Jurassic World sets, this piece of news is not really that new. However, seeing this ton of official images from the last three LEGO Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom sets is a delightful eye candy.

Two of these are direct tie-ins for the upcoming Fallen Kingdom sequel, while the Jurassic Park Velociraptor Chase (75932) is a reference to the cult-classic film that started it all. The LEGO Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom sets are scheduled to debut all across the country beginning Monday, April 16 together with a LEGO BrickHeadz version of Owen and Blue (41614) first unveiled last month. Do take note that the Dilophosaurus Outpost Attack (75931) and Jurassic Park Velociraptor Chase (75932) are both sold exclusively by Walmart. Check these out.

First Look At LEGO Juniors Disney Princess Belle’s Story Time (10762) and Ariel’s Underwater Concert (10765)

June 15 is still far off, but it looks like some fortunate souls already had their hands on the latest LEGO video game minifigure exclusive freebie, following the likes of last year’s LEGO Giant-Man minifigure. We already know that the LEGO Incredibles 2 video game comes bundled with an exclusive LEGO Edna Mode minifigure when you pre-order the game via GameStop. But what comes as a surprise was when YouTuber Disney Dan managed to have a polybag of Edna and saw what was on its respective building instructions. Printed on the back of the flyer were two box art images of never-before-seen, upcoming LEGO Juniors Disney Princess sets: Belle’s Story Time (10762) and Ariel’s Underwater Concert (10765). The LEGO Juniors Disney Princess Belle’s Story Time (10762) comes in 87 pieces and includes a Belle minidoll, a small buildable castle, a kind of picnic mat with some food accessories, and microfig renditions of Mrs. Potts and her son Chip.

The next reveal is the LEGO Juniors Disney Princess Ariel’s Underwater Concert (10765) which includes a minidoll version of Ariel, microfig versions of Sebastian and Flounder, and a dolphin minifigure . It shows Ariel on stage with a microphone stand. Frankly speaking, this 92-piece set feels very much the same as the Ariel’s Dolphin Carriage (10723) set from two years ago. The latter features the very same dolphin, a slightly different carriage, and Flounder’s microfig. Needless to say, the elements used to build Ariel’s Underwater Concert (10765) set look very much like the ones used for this most recent offering.

There’s still no news regarding the expected release of these upcoming LEGO Juniors Disney Princess sets, but our expectation is that it could be early June which means we can have official images around next month. LEGO Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom Baby Velociraptor Playpen (30382) Listed On Walmart

It looks like we now know where to spot our Baby Velociraptor microfig. After being revealed as the first polybag tie-in set for the LEGO Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom theme, Walmart has now listed the Baby Velociraptor Playpen (30382) polybag on its web portal. As it seems, it doesn’t come as a freebie of sorts, or a gift with purchase set since it is retailing for $3.97 as Walmart’s website suggests. Its currently listed as out of stock, and I’m not really sure if this is a retailer exclusive. We’ll just have to wait and see if this dino polybag will eventually find its way at shop.LEGO.com.

As I mentioned before, the obvious selling point of this polybag is the tiny and adorable Baby Velociraptor microfig which is first introduced in the Fallen Kingdom subtheme. This is a great way to create a sort of den for these little critters if you’re looking forward to add its siblings coming from other sets such as the Dilophosaurus Outpost Attack (75931), Carnotaurus Gyrosphere Escape (75929), and T. Rex Transport (75933). Here’s how Target describes this nice 48-piece polybag.

Yep folks, it’s Back to the Future with our latest LEGO BrickHeadz offering. First spotted in some Target stores a few days ago, it seems that our latest brick-built duo made a time skip to the past (or is it to the future?) and are now officially unveiled by LEGO for everyone to enjoy.
