LEGO Technic Peugeot 9X8 Hybrid Hypercar Officially Revealed

The LEGO Group has teamed up with Peugeot Sport to bring us the LEGO Technic Peugeot 9X8 24H Le Mans Hybrid Hypercar (42156), paying homage to the real-life hybrid hypercar ahead of its debut at Le Mans.

The engineering feat of creating a precise 1:10 scale version of the Peugeot 9X8 hypercar was a challenging task for both the LEGO Group and Peugeot Sport design teams. But with their expertise and passion for competition at the highest level, they were able to bring the 9X8 to life with LEGO Technic elements.

The LEGO Technic Peugeot 9X8 features the same sleek silhouette, lime flashes on the livery, and elegant profile as the original car, capturing the thrill of racing in every detail.

The LEGO Technic Peugeot 9X8 24H Le Mans Hybrid Hypercar boasts impressive features, including a V6 engine connected to the rear wheels and a replica of the electric motor connected to the front wheels. The hypercar’s unique doors, low-emission hybrid powertrain cables, and powerful suspension are all replicated in this fantastic model. Even better, the model includes glow-in-the-dark light elements that will make it stand out in any collection.

This latest brick-built supercar clocks in at 1,775 pieces and measures over 5 in. (13 cm) high, 9 in. (22 cm) wide, and 19.5 in. (50 cm) long when fully built. It is expected to retail for $200 once it is released on May 1, 2023.

LEGO Ideas Pick a Brick Selected Designs Now Available in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand

The wonderful people behind the LEGO Ideas Pick a Brick Test Lab challenge has released new designs that are now available for purchase in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. The LEGO community has once again shown its endless creativity with nine unique designs, two of which will be made available later in the year. The Christmas Sock by BrickStability and Sugar Skull by yop1172 will be released at a later date, but you can check out the other designs right now.

All the builds are now live on LEGO Pick a Brick in all European countries, Australia, and New Zealand. If you’re in the United States or Canada, don’t worry; the designs will be available in these regions in July. Until then, you can still take a look at the builds and download the instructions.

Third in the series, the LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71038 Disney 100 was officially revealed last month and is set to arrive on May 1st in celebration of the House of Mouse’s 100th anniversary. With a bumper of 18 different characters, including Pinocchio, Mulan, Baymax, Cruella de Vil, and more, this new series is expected to be a hit with LEGO fans of all ages.

However, if you’re looking to get your hands on a specific minifigure, you’ll need to be strategic. The blind-bagged nature of these collectible minifigures means that you won’t know what you’re getting until you open the package. So, what are your options for getting the characters you want?

It looks like we can expect more LEGO Disney sets along the way as we count down the months before the titular House of Mouse celebrates its 100th year anniversary. Other than a lovely collection of LEGO Disney Collectible Minifigures and LEGO Disney 100 sets, it looks like LEGO is now putting the spotlight on its renowned Disney Princesses. Arriving in June, the upcoming LEGO Disney Magical Treehouse (43215) set is expected to be a hit to all LEGO Disney minidoll collectors.

Though LEGO is still quite mum about it, South Korea’s search platform and online store Naver, has already listed this LEGO Disney Magical Treehouse set. And what perhaps makes this set stand out is the fact that it is jam-packed with 13 minidolls of all the Disney Princess to date. As far as I recall, there is no other LEGO set that contains as much as minidolls in one go. Coming in at 1,016 pieces, you’ll get to bring home the LEGO mini-doll versions of Elsa, Anna, Alice in Wonderland, Belle, Wendy, Tinkerbell, Mirabel, Moana, Mulan, Pocahontas, Raya, Tiana, and Jasmine.

The LEGO Disney Magical Treehouse (43215) set is yet to appear at US LEGO.com. But my guess is that LEGO’s home shopping portal will be updated any time soon, especially since this latest offering will be part of LEGO’s product line-up for the month of June. Once listed, it is expected to retail for around $150. In the meantime, check out some of these images and take a look.
