LEGO Flyers for VIPs Can Avail of Returning Seasonal Minifigure Gingerbread Man (5005156).

Even casual LEGO fans are well aware of the many special packages the company brings out at the onset of the major seasons and events of the year. Why, just this November they already have announced what’s going to be in store for collectors during the Easter celebration next year.

But really, the current big buzz is for the various special offers flying around during the Holiday season. In this case, we mean it literally with the flying, as in, flyers. LEGO is shipping out some special fliers to their VIP members to announce the comeback of a Holiday seasonal standard.

LEGO VIPs need only to head to the nearest LEGO Store, present their promotional flyer along with any product purchase worth at least $10, and they’ll receive the LEGO Seasonal Gingerbread Man minifgure (5005156) absolutely free. Take note however that the offer will take for only up till December 23.

The LEGO Gingerbread Man (5005156) was first presented in this Holiday offer last year, so this is his second outing as a giveaway for collectors. He’s not alone, either. Shop@Home has the online version, with their return of the $9.99 LEGO Seasonal Snowglobe (40223).

Happy Holidays from us and LEGO!

The LEGO Batman Movie The Joker Manor (70922) Now Up at shop.LEGO.com!

We’re just counting the minutes away before LEGO opens its Brick Friday doors to its eagerly waiting fans, and one set that we have our eyes on is the technically crazy, eye candy of a set, the LEGO Batman Movie The Joker Manor (70922). First revealed last September, LEGO impressed TLBM fans with Joker’s wacky rendition of the Wayne Mansion, especially with the inclusion of a functional roller coaster ride. The best part of it, The Joker Manor does not come with any VIP early access privilege so when the clock strikes at 11:59PM EST on November 23, you should be ready with that keyboard.

So far, The Joker Manor has received plenty of positive reviews already, with many AFOLs even tinkering with the set’s train or railing system by including power functions to make the roller coaster move on its own. The Brothers Brick has ingeniously found a way on how to do this, and you can check it out right here.

Lastly, LEGO is throwing in another freebie to add to your TLBM collection. The rare LEGO Batman Movie Disco Batman and Tears of Batman (30607) minifigure polybag comes as a free item if you purchase The Joker Manor from November 24 until December 31, or until supplies last (which I sincerely believe will be out in a matter of hours).

Once the group has settled in on the evening of November 24, they will be free to build to their hearts’ content, with Jamie helping them along.

Toy ‘R’ Us UK Having Another Make and Take Event Featuring a LEGO Microbuild BB-8.

Toys ‘R’ Us in the UK sure loves their LEGO “Make and Take” events during the weekends. After indulging in the hype of The LEGO Ninjago Movie with a chance for guests to bring home an Ice Tank polybag, now the global toy retailer’s UK stores will be heading back to the galaxy far, far away with their next Make and Take Building Event.

This event has already been held in US and German Toys ‘R’ Us stores, so this time it’s the turn of their British cousins to offer a model of the ball-shaped astromech droid BB-8 for guests to Make and Take.

Quite obviously, it’s not the 1,000-piece, LEGO Star Wars BB-8 (75187) but rather a build-your-own mini version using specific existing LEGO Parts, the instructions to which are available for download online. It uses no unique printed parts and its round body is but a rough approximation of a sphere, but hey, even a rudimentary TRU Millennium Falcon polybag is popular enough to sell out.

Anyway, UK customers who would like to get their hands on building their own mini BB-8 had better make their way to their nearest Toys ‘R’ Store on Saturday, November 18, between 11AM and 1PM (just like last time). It’s likely that the promotional event will also include a scavenger hunt through the store like stateside.

All this of course is in anticipation for the much awaited Star Wars Episode VII – The Last Jedi, which comes to UK cinemas on December 14 and stateside on the following day. Just so you know, the second wave of LEGO Star Wars sets based on the film – while officially not out until 2018 – were spotted in some retailers already.

Wal-Mart Announces LEGO Brick Set Deals for Black Friday 2017.

We only have ten days to go before Thanksgiving, and Black Friday, of course, comes in the next day, where retail businesses get crowded by frenzied waves of holiday shoppers.  As expected, the biggest names in retail have started their promotions and pitches already.

As of to date, Wal-Mart has brought out its Black Friday 2017 ads, and as expected, they have a special treat or two lined up for solid fans of LEGO, either in the Classic line or the younger-geared Duplo series. Check these out:

10704 alt1

For the regular LEGO range, Wal-Mart offers the LEGO Classic Creative Box (10704), a set of 900 bricks and assorted pieces with which young builders can create basically anything that they fancy: from space ships to boats, and race cars to flying monsters. The many possibilities with a LEGO brick is practically endless.

This is a perfect gift for a budding LEGO fan of at least age 4, especially if you’d like him to start really big with a pile of pieces to work with.

Next on the Wal-Mart Promos is the LEGO Duplo Creative Box (10854), the even younger version of set 10704, perfect for constructive tykes between ages 2 to 5.

10854 alt1

It’s got 120 pieces, not much in comparison to its larger sibling. The variety of shapes and colors will definitely help young builders enjoy every second of their building experience. Set 10854 even comes with some minifigures of a boy and his cat for added fun with any resulting creations.

Both of these sets are normally priced at $39.99, but on Black Friday, Wal-Mart is offering them at a flat $20 each, whether they are in-store or purchased online. The offer’s good while supplies last, and there might be a chance it won’t. So happy building!

Email Notifications Confirm Shipping of LEGO Star Wars VIP Cards to Lucky Buyers of UCS Millennium Falcon (75192).

The frenzy for the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) continues to build even as stocks continue to sell out thanks to the flood of pre-orders. For a LEGO set as huge as this, it should only be expected to come bundled with exclusives and freebies.

ucsfalcon e1510614873264

As part of the parcel, buyers of the UCS Millennium Falcon will also get a limited-edition LEGO Star Wars VIP Card offering a stream of related LEGO Star Wars benefits and perks for a one-year membership period. The one that goes with the 75192 is considered to be extremely special on account of its Darth Vader-esque black color scheme.

StarWarsVIP

Unless you bought the UCS Millennium Falcon right off from the LEGO Store in Leicester Square, London when it first debuted on September 13, then the only chance to have this exclusive VIP card is by mail. As of now, the card is not included in the box but will be mailed to buyers of the UCS Millennium Falcon, fully personalized and (if applicable) linked to already existing LEGO VIP accounts for old members.

While the LEGO website info notes that delivery of the card by mail might take six weeks, some proud new owners of the 75192 have reported receiving an email advisory, informing them that their VIP cards will actually be arriving at the end of November, if they got their Falcons by this month at the latest. One of them actually sent a screenshot of his notification.

24473408268 d51864b8b3

These customers may well be the lucky ones. It’s been very hard going to keep the UCS 75192 kit stocked anywhere on both sides of the Atlantic, and the LEGO Star Wars VIP Card is said to be available only to in-store and online buyers of the massive Millennium Falcon model before the end of this year.

Odds are becoming slimmer though, for those who desire to bring home this set. While the details of the perks that a LEGO Star Wars VIP cardholder will get are still yet to be announced, the mere possession of this jet black VIP is seen as the important thing, for bragging rights. All that’s left now is to wish those who haven’t gotten the 75192 yet the best of luck.

Exclusive Target LEGO Star Wars Micro Millennium Falcon Polybag Now Available – Sold Out in Some Areas.

Since the launch of this year’s Target Toy Book a few weeks ago, some leery eyed collectors were closely eyeing on a relatively, unappealing piece of promotion, or so as we thought. For a minimum purchase of any LEGO Star Wars products worth $30 and above at any Target stores starting today and throughout the whole week, entitles you to a free LEGO Star Wars Micro Millennium Falcon Polybag. Alternately, you may also opt to purchase this polybag separately for $4.99.

legotarget2017

The polybag promo comes with 20 LEGO grey pieces including a clear bar piece and a printed minifigure stand. If not for the printed plate and bar, I guess this one will be sitting on store shelves for a long, long, time. However, what happened next is quite the contrary. We’ve received reports that the said Micro MF polybags are now sold-out in some Target stores.

Apparently, the polybag was a hit for more unconventional reasons. LEGO Star Wars minifig collectors may have struck gold with these minifigure baseplates – a good way to flaunt their prized collection. However for a price point of $5 per polybag for a single LEGO piece, I think it is too much of a haul for me.

Well, I guess even LEGO collectors have different tastes and preferences. I just hope that this poly will not suffer the same fate as that of its way larger sibling, the UCS Millennium Falcon (75192). Be sure to check out with your local Target store first if they still have the LEGO Star Wars Micro Millennium Falcon polybag (DPCI# 204-00-0266) lying around in the LEGO section. Thanks to FBTB for sharing these images.

UK Bookseller The Book People is Having a LEGO Book Flash Sale

As any fan of LEGO knows, the global brand has already grown far beyond toys for decades now. They are just as much a formidable multimedia presence as anything else, with TV shows (animated series on Cartoon Network for instance) and also feature films with Warner Bros.

They also have published a number of books, both novels and illustrated guides and encyclopedias exploring their various set and minifigure themes. These latter books are often huge and hardbound, which usually means a higher price than paperbacks. But over in the UK, discount bookseller Book People has an offer for LEGO bookworms.

Book People logo

Starting from Wednesday, November 8, until Thursday, November 9, Book People is having a flash sale on their selection of handpicked LEGO books from various publishers. During these two days they will be selling at knockdown affordable bargain prices that would make discount hunting bibliophiles drool.

This is no exaggeration. The Ultimate LEGO Star Wars hardback (Dorling Kindersley Ltd.) is 320 pages of minifigure characters and creatures, vehicles, equipment and locations as rendered by LEGO. Even the sweet UCS Millennium Falcon set (75192) is depicted there. Usually priced at £69.90 in the UK, Book People is offering it for £13.00. Awesome!

Ultimate LEGO Star Wars

The bargains don’t end there. UK LEGO fans can also avail of the following official books:

  • The LEGO Visual History, RRP £25.00, now £9.00
  • Ultimate LEGO Star Wars, RRP £30.00, now £8.00
  • LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: Build Your Own Adventure, RRP £17.99, now £8.00
  • LEGO Nexo Knights: Build Your Own Adventure, RRP £17.99, now £8.00
  • LEGO Everything You Ever Need to Know, RRP £17.99, now £5.00

They would make excellent companion gifts with the latest LEGO sets and minifigure collections coming out on British markets for the Holidays. If you’re in the UK, better order your choice books now.

That’s pretty much the main deal with The LEGO Company and their LEGO Inside Tour, a wondrous excursion that the company describes as a once-in-a-lifetime experience. They’ve got several tour schedules set up for next year, and registration is open.

Yes, there’s already a  LEGO Live event happening in New York in February next year, but for longtime and dedicated LEGO fans with some money saved up, the LEGO Inside Tour 2018 could stand to be another pinnacle of their total lifetime experience with LEGO and their products.

Throughout the following year, The LEGO Group will be guiding five groups of about 80 or so attendees at a time through some of the most memorable locations in the company’s long history as one of the world’s major toy brands.

It all takes place in LEGO’s home, the town of Billund in Denmark, and will include tours of the house of LEGO founder Ole Kirk Kristiansen, exhibits of original 1930s LEGO sets and models, and an excursion through a modern factory with chances to meet personally meet LEGO personnel and set designers. Each tour session lasts 3 days, so groups will be staying at Billund’s Hotel LEGOLAND in between company visits.

At the end of the tour, participants will receive an exclusively numbered set produced specifically as a gift for the LEGO Inside Tour, and in close collaboration with Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen. This year, tour participants received the LEGO House Tree of Creativity (4000024), a shout-out to the grandiosity of the actual  15-meter, brick-built Tree of Creativity nestled right in the middle of LEGO Square.
