UPDATE: A Look At The LEGO Dimensions Fun Pack Marceline The Vampire Queen (71285).

LEGO is adding more hero-sized fun to its revamped toys-to-life set with the addition of Adventure Time’s ‘wild rocker girl’, Marceline The Vampire Queen. In a recent tweet send in by LEGO Dimensions stalwart Bricks To Life, it seems that it will not take long before we see the crimson-loving Marceline travels through the LEGO Dimensions portal. The LEGO Dimensions Fun Pack Marceline The Vampire Queen (71285) will join the rest of LEGO Dimensions’ Wave 7 characters this Fall as a Toys R Us promotional exclusive, specifically on November 18. It is very likely that 71285 will be released alongside the LEGO Dimensions Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them Story Pack, considering that the J.K. Rowling film of the same title will be released early in November. Take a closer look at the image below, as found on TRU’s in-store pre-order card.

LEGO Dimensions Marceline

The fun pack comes with a Marceline minifigure together with her bright red axe bass guitar as seen in the Adventure Time animated series, and her Lunatic Amp vehicle. Here’s the official description of the LEGO Dimensions Fun Pack 71285 as posted by the Brick Inquirer.

Keep the Adventure Time party rocking in the LEGO Dimensions multiverse with Marceline the Vampire Queen! Build and place her on the LEGO Toy Pad to send her into the game with her Sonar Smash and Bolt Deflector abilities using the Marceline Axe Guitar. Activate her Telekinesis and Teleport skills to make your way through the Adventure Time Adventure World and Battle Arena. Build and use Marceline’s Lunatic Amp to make some noise, and rebuild it into the Shadow Scorpion and Heavy Metal Monster when you need even more power.

Here’s the tweet shared by Bricks To Life.

As of to date, LEGO promises a total of 16 new IPs or licenses under its LEGO Dimensions banner as revealed during this year’s E3, with Wave 6 expected to hit store shelves by September 27. If you don’t want to miss out on this LEGO Dimensions Series 2 offering, you may visit Wildcard Toys and check out their great pre-order deals.

UPDATE: Toys R Us has updated their website to include the official product image of the LEGO Dimensions Fun Pack Marceline The Vampire Queen (71285) as you can see below. TRU is now accepting pre-orders with an estimated shipping date of November 18, 2016.

First Look At LEGO Dimensions Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them Story Pack.

The latest Argos Catalogue from the UK has just been released and with it comes our first look at one of LEGO Dimensions Series 2 Story Pack. If you recall, Series 2 of LEGO Dimensions introduces a new Story Pack that allows you to play the complete movie, with its LEGO Dimensions Ghostbusters Story Pack (71242). This time around, Argos Catalogue reveals what it seems to be as the second LEGO Dimensions Story Pack that will be made available in November just in time for the film’s release in November 11. Here are some of the images from the said catalogue courtesy of Brickfans.

fantasticbeastsLD2 fantasticbeastsLD3

As you can see, the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Story Pack includes what seems to be the Magical Congress of the United States of America LEGO Dimensions gateway, and the minifigures of Newt Scamander and Niffler. Similar to the Ghostbusters Story Pack, Fantasic Beasts will let you play throughout the movie’s story with some voices and quotes from the original film. It will retail in the UK for £39.99 which is around $49.99 in the US. We hope to see more updates anytime soon, especially that retailers are already in the loop.

Thanks to Brickfans for the heads-up.

Star Wars The Force Awakens Director JJ Abrams Gets The LEGO Treatment!

jj abrams minifigure

Warner Bros Interactive and TT Games’ latest LEGO video game LEGO Star Wars – The Force Awakens has been out since last week and with it comes tons of bonus game features such as more than 150 playable characters spanning across the entire Star Wars saga. In a touch of LEGO brand humor, game developers included another character that will add a little more fun in an already awesome game. In case you haven’t unlocked him or have seen the walkthrough videos yet, you might be surprised to know that TFA director JJ Abrams gets his own LEGO minifig version and is now playable as one of the characters in the game. Watch this video from TT Games courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter (THR).

As you can see, JJ Abrams’ minifigure rendition comes with a camera mounted on his back, a blaster and what seems to be a grappling gun on the side. It’s kind of cool how LEGO was able to transform the acclaimed director in this minifig version, including all the fine details such as his clothes, hair style and eye glasses. The camera piece he carries is a giveaway clue in case gamers can’t still figure out the semblance, though it is yet to be seen if that camera is of any use to JJ Abrams playable character.

As noted by THR, Abrams is one of the two real-world characters that were included in the game, together with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy. “The presence of both executives was kept under wraps until after the game’s release as a surprise for those who dived into the block-build version of the popular movie,” Graeme McMillan of THR wrote.

Unlike Finn, Rey, Hans Solo and the rest of The Force Awakens cast whose original dialogues were featured in the game, the JJ Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy minifigures does not feature any voice acting. Nevertheless, the director and producer both gave their thumbs up approval for their inclusion in the roster.

LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens is now available via Amazon and playable across all major gaming platforms. If you haven’t tried the game yet, you might want to check out our first wave of video walkthroughs courtesy of Brick Show’s in-house master gamer, Brian.

With a total of 30 licenses under its banner, it’s continually expanding selection of both classic and recent titles make LEGO Dimensions an enticing, and fun video game for the entire family. With more characters to be revealed , we now have our first look at one of LEGO Dimensions’ most anticipated minifigures.

As it turns out, this is Sonic’s first public appearance in LEGO minifigure form which will be released in a Level Pack sometime in November. Though Warburton might have intentionally emphasized Sonic’s left side, still, the image says it all. LEGO deserves a pat on the shoulder for the impressive detailing of Sonic’s head piece.

The remaining, undisclosed LEGO Dimensions Series 2 is expected to be released in three consecutive waves sometime in November, and January and March next year. Wave 1 of Series 2 is expected to hit toy and gaming shelves on September 27, consisting of iconic characters from Harry Potter, the A-Team and Mission Impossible just to name a few. Kylo Ren Is Such A Fanboy In This Latest LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Character Vignette.

kylo ren fanboy

With less than a week before the release of the much awaited LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens video game, Warner Bros UK recently uploaded its fourth character vignette, and this time the spotlight is now focused on the volatile and uber fanboy, Kylo Ren. If you recall, Kylo Ren comes as the next featured character vignette from Warner Bros following the likes of Poe Dameron, Finn, and BB-8. Living under the shadow of your idol or that of someone else can sometimes get the best out of you as you can see from the video below. But before that, here’s what WB UK has to say about their latest character spotlight.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today released the next video in a series of LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens character vignettes spotlighting Kylo Ren, the dark warrior who commands the First Order. The video showcases Kylo Ren’s LEGO character in full form through key gameplay moments, cinematic cutscenes and authentic audio, all with signature LEGO humour. The vignette also features original dialogue recorded by actor Adam Driver, who plays the role of Kylo Ren in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens film.

The LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens video game is scheduled to be released on June 28, 2016 on all major gaming platforms. However, if you want to try out and have a feel of the game first before making your purchase, Warner Bros Interactive is giving away a free-to-download Niima Outpost Demo available both for the Xbox One and Playstation 4.

In a similar note, LEGO has also released a video spot on one of the most iconic gangster in the Star Wars galaxy.  Jabba’s Palace Character Pack comes as a GameStop promotional if you pre-order the main game through their channels.

Limited Edition LEGO Dimensions 71342 Green Arrow Fun Pack Found At eBay

Thanks again to Minifigure Price Guide, we finally found what seems to be our first official polybag image of the elusive LEGO Dimensions, Limited Edition, Green Arrow Fun Pack tagged with serial number 71342. This compelling piece of evidence further adds confirmation to what we have reported previously, together with the appearance of a building guide for LEGO Dimensions Supergirl. MPG found this polybag set over at eBay which as of this writing has been sold out already.

[]

[]

The seller, veselekladno1977, seems to be based in the Czech Republic and has reportedly sold 5 of these Green Arrow LEGO Dimensions polybag sets at a lucrative price of USD 44 each. A LEGO Dimensions Fun Pack costs an average of $10 to $11 over at major retailers. This LEGO Dimensions Green Arrow comes with the same yellow base as that of LEGO Dimensions Supergirl, with some variation in the printing. Frankly speaking, the Green Arrow minifigure found in this polybag is virtually the same as that found in LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Darkseid Invasion 76028. Minifig connoisseurs may find little excitement over this one in terms of value for money.

[]

[]

Paying $44 for a minifigure that is readily available together with a $42 set is a little bit over-the-top, especially now that the LEGO Darkseid Invasion 76028 set comes at 30% off, listing it at $41.99 at Amazon Prime and Target. So if you’re raring to add Green Arrow to your roster of Super Hero minifigs, then opting for 76028 while it’s on sale is the better alternative. Or if you’re willing to wait, LEGO Dimensions Green Arrow 71342 is expected to make an appearance hopefully at this year’s E3 Los Angeles Expo from June 14 to 16.

LEGO Nexo Knights 70326 The Black Knight Mech Revealed!

Hot on the heels of his recent reveals with the LEGO Star Wars Rebel Combat Frigate 75158 and LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Tanker Truck Takedown 76067, Jacob_9821 from Eurobricks revealed another set that we are eagerly waiting for since this cap off what we know so far with LEGO’s summer releases under the Nexo Knights line. Here are the official images of LEGO Nexo Knights The Black Knight Mech 70326.

[]

[]

Those of you who are familiar with 70327 The King’s Mech may have noticed some similarities with that set to the Black Knight Mech, virtually having the same pieces but with a different color scheme and noticeably sleeker design. I like how the sword and shield complement the pieces in this set. The Black Knight Mech made its first appearance during the first season of the Nexo Knights TV series on Cartoon Network, piloted by the young Robin Underwood.

[]

[]

It comes in 530 pieces and includes several minifigures: Robin with a new armor, a Squirebot, Ash Attacker, and Whiparella which comes exclusive with this set, complete with her Whips of Fear. This is a sure take for those who are into collecting Nexo Knights minifigures.

[]

No pricing has been mentioned yet, but BZ Power reported during their visit to the New York Toy Fair earlier this year that the Black Knight 70326 costs USD 39.99 and is slated to be released in August. Again, 70326 was not revealed during the New York Toy Fair so chances are this is another retailer exclusive. We don’t have any information yet on what store this will be exclusive to, so we’ll be on the lookout as more updates come in.

Tell us what you think about this set and share your thoughts in the comments section below.

Thanks to Brickset for the heads up.
