After having a glimpse of the LEGO Marvel Advent Calendar (76196), we can now also confirm what to expect from this year’s LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, courtesy of an inadvertently released online Japanese LEGO catalog. Similar to the LEGO Star Wars summer 2021 sets, the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar (75307) follows a Star Wars: The Mandalorian theme, given that unique LEGO holiday humor.
We can expect Grogu and Din Jarin to be included in this set in their holiday festive costumes. We also see a Storm Trooper, a Scout Trooper, and a Tusken Raider joining the fun as well. For the micro builds, it’s nice to see that Grogu’s floating baby basket is included as well, together with a couple of starships such as the usual TIE Fighter and Moff Gideon’s Light Cruiser. And since this set is specifically made to give some light-hearted LEGO humor during the holiday season, even the usual brick-built weapons in this set were modified for some winter fun.
We can expect this set to be released in September, and I’ll keep you posted once this set makes its debut at LEGO Shop@Home.
After the accidental publishing of the Japanese online LEGO catalog, fans were also quick to spot the latest LEGO Star Wars summer 2021 sets that were included in the now-removed product catalog.
These sets are largely based on the Disney+ series The Mandalorian, though we also have some that references the Clone Wars. Here’s a closer look at what we can expect from these LEGO Star Wars 2021 sets, including the minifigures featured in them.
The LEGO Star Wars summer 2021 sets are expected to arrive in August 2021. I’ll update this post once they are listed at LEGO’s online shopping portal. Stay tuned for more updates.
Here’s another first. The now-deleted Japanese online LEGO catalog has shown that we can expect the arrival of the LEGO Marvel Advent Calendar 2021 (76196) just in time for the holidays. It seems that the said catalog was released a bit too early, but not without the LEGO fan community taking notice right away.
The LEGO Advent Calendar series usually feature themes from LEGO City, Friends, Harry Potter, and Star Wars. The inclusion of another licensed theme for this holiday surprise set is a welcomed development. And looking at its respective catalog page suggests that we can expect holiday minifigure versions of Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Thor. We can also expect Black Widow and Thanos to join the festivities, plus micro build versions of the Avengers’ Quinjet, Tony Stark’s robot lab assistant Dum-E, and a cute Iron Snowman. I assume that this is just a sampling of the brick surprises included in the LEGO Marvel Advent Calendar 2021, and we just have to wait and see for its official listing over at LEGO Shop@Home.
Another Disney+ series is now getting the official LEGO treatment. As it turns out, Amazon France has spilled the beans on what seems to be the very first LEGO Marvel What If…? set: the Tony Stark’s Sakaarian Iron Man (76194).
The upcoming “What If…?” animated series is slated to arrive in Disney+ this August. And as confirmed by this listing from Amazon France, we will also get a LEGO tie-in set to celebrate the occasion. The LEGO Marvel What If…? Tony Stark’s Sakaarian Iron Man (76194) comes in at 369 pieces and highlights one possible episode where we can see a multiverse version of Tony Stark, much as we’ve seen in the series’ first trailer. The build itself is somewhat similar to LEGO’s earlier releases in the form of 2018’s The Hulkbuster Smash-Up (76104) and 2020’s Iron Man Hulkbuster vs A.I.M. Agent (76164). However, this latest, multiverse version of the Hulkbuster includes another play feature where the brick-built mech can be transformed into a race car.
Another possible selling point of this set is the offering of its official LEGO Marvel Uatu The Watcher minifigure. The inclusion of this cosmic being in the LEGO universe is only fitting, considering that the animated series will feature Uatu as the master storyteller and guide in the complex story plots of this side of MCU’s multiverse. Other than The Watcher, this set will also include a reimagined variant of Tony Stark and Valkyrie.
The LEGO Marvel What If…? Tony Stark’s Sakaarian Iron Man (76194) is not yet listed at LEGO Shop@Home as of this posting. I’ll update this post once more info comes in. In the meantime, be sure to check the rest of the upcoming LEGO Marvel summer 2021 releases before then.
Following the official reveal and listing of more LEGO licensed sets, the LEGO Jurassic World theme has also received its share of new sets slated to be released in August and September.
These latest product update to the Jurassic spanning theme includes several new dinosaur figures such as a recolored Baryonyx and stygimoloch, a new baby ankylosaurus and triceratops, and an all-new T-rex fossil.

LEGO Shop@Home has now been updated once again to include new, never-before-seen LEGO licensed sets slated for August and October. A few days ago, we also shared something in that direction coming from the LEGO Super Mario line. And this time, LEGO has updated its listings to include one new set from each of LEGO’s major licensed themes such as that from Star Wars, Marvel, and DC Comics.
All of these new LEGO licensed sets are now available for pre-order, most of them scheduled to be available in October. Check out their official product descriptions and images, and if you wish to pre-order now, kindly click on the following affiliate links below.

A few days ago, LEGO announced or teased over its social media channels that it is gearing up for something big in June. The teaser came in the form of a typical 2×2 brick whose studs eventually light up representing what seems to be neon colors in yellow, cyan, magenta, and orange. My immediate impression was that the teaser might lead us to the official announcement of the LEGO Night Mode Kits. However, the most recent developments with regards to this teaser may have another surprising plot twist. Because as it turns out, there is a theory that it may also point towards the probable arrival of a LEGO Dimensions sequel.
This theory, as reported by CBR, points to the glaring similarities that the four colors shown in the teaser’s 2×2 brick are very much the same as the colors used in the LEGO Dimensions toy pad. These similarities were pointed out by Twitter user @whirlwind2112 as you can see from his tweet below.
Probably coincidental, but yellow/cyan/magenta were the colours used to denote moving the figures to another part of the base which was a big part of Lego Dimensions, and the series 2 bases were orange. Probably a stretch though pic.twitter.com/6EFNvAWvg5
To be frank, I am really caught off guard by this theory/speculation since it never came to me how strikingly similar the colors of my LEGO Dimensions toy pad are, to that shown in the teaser.
However, I have to say that I am inclined to have a certain amount of disbelief towards any kind of revival, or the possibility of a LEGO Dimensions sequel considering the current situation of the toys-to-life genre. Since that time when LEGO officially pulled the plug on LEGO Dimensions, and with all the signs pointing towards that eventual demise several years ago, I feel it is somewhat unlikely that such a move will be on the horizon anytime soon.
But then again, I couldn’t shake off from my head how surprisingly similar these colors are to that of the teaser. And waiting for June 26, 2021, seems to be forever! What does the LEGO Group have in mind? What is really going on? Does a LEGO Dimensions sequel a real possibility? The LEGO Ideas Review Team has announced its next fan-designed, LEGO Ideas GWP or Gift-With-Purchase set. Supported and voted for by fellow LEGO fans and builders, the grand prize winner of the now concluded Do You Want To Go The Seaside Building Contest has been selected by the LEGO fan community. Take a look.
Our next LEGO Ideas GWP set will be based on this creation by LEGO fan builders DadiTwins entitled “Ray the Castaway”.
Other than the Grand Prize Winner, five Runner-Ups were selected as well. Though the honor of being the next LEGO Ideas GWP set is reserved for the Grand Prize winner, these Runner-Ups will also bring home the abovementioned LEGO sets except for the Pirates of Barracuda Bay. In case you want to see it, here are the Runner-Ups for this contest.
We usually don’t have an exact release date once winners in these kinds of contests have been announced, but we can expect that the LEGO Ideas GWP Ray the Castaway will be officially released after a year or so, similar to the ones before it.
Again, a huge congratulations to LEGO fan designers DadiTwins and the entire LEGO fan community for making this possible!
LEGO and Nintendo fans have plenty to look forward to this summer. After giving us a glimpse of things to come this summer for the LEGO Super Mario theme, why not consider making your very own custom LEGO Nintendo Switch courtesy of LEGO master builder and artist, Tiago Catarino.
Shared over his YouTube channel, Tiago was kind enough to show us the building process, and even the parts list, in creating his video tutorial. And if LEGO perchance has seen Tiago’s video already, then it might be high time for TLG to consider offering an official LEGO Nintendo Switch set. It’s just fitting, in my opinion, considering that LEGO already took the effort and time to offer us a beautifully made LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System (71374).
One of the cool things about Tiago’s build is that it features detachable joycons similar to what you have in an actual Switch. His custom LEGO Nintendo Switch can also be modified to become a Switch Lite by swapping the colors for the joycons. Then it’s up to your imagination to fill in the screen with whatever video game scene you will fancy.
This custom LEGO Nintendo Switch Lite from Tiago comes with a pair of detachable brick-built joycons. And just by swapping colors, you can come up with a LEGO version of the original Nintendo Switch.
For the parts list, be sure to check first the last few seconds of the video and see if you have the necessary parts needed to build this custom LEGO model. Special thanks once again to Tiago for sharing his creation.
If you like this custom LEGO set, then you might be interested to take a look at some of the custom LEGO video game consoles offered at our official storefront at The Brick Show Shop. It’s a trip down gaming history with our collection of custom LEGO sets from the good ol’ days of console gaming.
