Please do note that though the Mini Keepsake Box (40266) is going to be available until the end of the month, there’s no guarantee that it will still be up for grabs by then, depending on the demand for this freebie. Though I’m not particularly fond of the LEGO Friends series, this 105-piece Mini Keepsake Box (40266) is quite an impressive build on its own. It sports two compartments: a covered, top compartment and a sliding drawer in front. It’s a pretty neat and functional build if I should say so, and comes at a relatively lower price point compared to other promotionals. Other than the LEGO Friends Mini Keepsake Box (40266) another promotional is still up and running until October 8 – the LEGO Ninjago Movie Lloyd (30609) minifigure polybag.

LEGO Star Wars BrickHeadz Boba Fett and Han Solo in Carbonite (41498) Are These Year’s NYCC LEGO Exclusives.

After yesterday’s tease of this year’s New York Comic Con LEGO exclusive, we now have our first look at what these sets are. Alluding to the classic Star Wars saga, we have the iconic characters of Boba Fett and Han Solo rendered in LEGO BrickHeadz form. With a total piece count of 329 pieces, the LEGO Star Wars BrickHeadz Boba Fett and Han Solo in Carbonite (41498) numbered 27 and 28 respectively, is the first and largest LEGO BrickHeadz offered as of to date.

The Han Solo in Carbonite features the very first official BrickHeadz “closed eye” design, and stands as the largest LEGO BrickHeadz ever made. The LEGO BrickHeadz Boba Fett features tons of details and unique pieces exclusive to this year’s LEGO New York Comic Con offering. Set 41498 will be available to all qualified Comic-Con attendees (via a preliminary lottery system), retailing for $40 each.

This Year’s New York Comic-Con LEGO Exclusive Will Be… LEGO Star War BrickHeadz!

We’re counting the days away before this year’s New York Comic-Con kicks in this Thursday. Similarly to this year’s SDCC, expect legions of LEGO fans to flock the halls of Javits Center from October 5 to 8 to have their try on this year’s exclusive NYCC LEGO set. As it turns out, Jedi News has reported that this year’s exclusive set will be a LEGO Star Wars BrickHeadz, in contrast to the DC and Marvel-themed LEGO BrickHeadz sets exclusively sold during San Diego Comic-Con last July.

Do take note that the box art images for this exclusive pair of LEGO Star Wars BrickHeadz do not represent the actual product. Same as in other comic-con events, purchasing these sets will be determined via a lottery system (which was already done and attendees who qualified were already notified), which eventually spikes up interest for these collectibles. The NYCC LEGO Star Wars BrickHeadz comes in at 329 pieces retailing for $40, and will be available for sale for qualified attendees from October 5 to 8. Each BrickHeadz comes with its unique series number (27 and 28 respectively) and customized baseplate.

We’re just two days away before the acclaimed House of the Brick opens its doors to the public on Thursday, September 28. Toys R Us Singapore Is Giving Away This Cool, 20-Inch Minifigure Maxi Stand.

Toys R Us Singapore and Taiwan is currently running a contest in connection to its Bricktober 2017 promotions. If you have your eyes set on collecting TRU’s exclusive Bricktober 2017 minifigures, then you might be glad to know that you have the chance of winning a 50-centimeter (or roughly 20 inches), maxi minifigure stand made entirely of LEGO bricks.

Based on its description, this brick-built giant minifigure replica is specifically designed with a hollow torso, large enough to fit and display an entire 16-piece LEGO Collectible Minifigure Series. It is entirely made of white bricks and at 50 centimeters in height, it comes close to the size of the 18-inch brick-built Medusa that was raffled away by TT Games at E3 last June.

The Maxifigure/Minifigure Stand is a creative way to flaunt your prized minifigure collection. Though I hope that it will be able to accommodate at least 20 minifigures (for example, those from the LEGO Batman Movie CMF), the idea of coming up with a brick-built giant minifigure to display your minifgs is a very creative one. It is also a pretty straightforward build, which any LEGO fan can replicate – granted that you have enough white bricks, super glue, and building instructions of course.

To be eligible to join, contestants must be able to present four printed receipts, each of which reflecting the Bricktober Minifigures promo, and are dated within the specified promo periods that the minifigure sets were received. All four receipts qualify you for one raffle entry, and though multiple purchases and receipts are allowed, submitted receipt numbers may only be submitted once. Registration starts on October 20, while the winner will be announced on November 24 via TRU Singapore’s official Facebook page. For more details, you may read the full contest details right here. TRU’s Bricktober 2017 Minifigure Sets Comes in a Diorama Format.

A couple of weeks ago, we saw the official images of this year’s Toys R Us Bricktober 2017 minifigure sets and this time, more info is coming in from TRU’s outlets in south east Asia. Thanks to TRU Taiwan and Singapore, we have additional images that suggest that we’ll be expecting more than just the usual package of four minifigures.

TRU Taiwan’s blog site shares details on this year’s Bricktober minifigure sets which apparently includes a diorama for each of them. Each set comes with its unique, foldable diorama that complements the minifigs’ in them. Check these out.

As you can see, the LEGO Batman Movie Minifigures (5004939) comes with what it seems to be a facade of Gotham City, while the LEGO City Jungle Exploration Minifigures (5004940) is placed on a jungle themed background (that seems obvious), and the LEGO Collectible Minifigures (5004941) set comes in with a sea rescue diorama format. What I find rather odd is how the LEGO Ninjago Minifigures (5004938) set is packaged. Since it is clear that the set specifically refers to Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu, the accompanying background is expected to be based on the recent season of the TV show. However, as you can see from the image above, its choice of diorama takes its cue from The LEGO Ninjago Movie, which is quite out of place in my opinion. Nevertheless, the diorama itself is a nice addition to these limited edition sets and adds a touch of exclusivity to them. It reminds me of the LEGO Batman Movie Movie Maker Set (853650), and the LEGO Ninjago Movie Movie Maker Set (853702) which comes with their similar backdrops.

Though TRU stores in some parts of Asia and Europe have already announced their Bricktober release schedules, we still yet to see the same in the US and North America. Traditionally, these sets are released in the month of October, so we are expecting to hear some word from Toys R Us any time soon. LEGO Toys R Us Bricktober 2017 Minifigure Sets Official Images Now Up!

Toys R Us Germany has now released the official images of this year’s Bricktober 2017 Minifigures sets. Following the reveal of this year’s minifigure collection from TRU Austria’s promotional poster, their corresponding official images have now been released online. It gives us a better idea of what to expect from these sets which is quite frankly, one of the best that TRU offered so far.

These prized collectibles will be distributed first in Germany this month, and in the US and the rest of the world in October. There’s no official word yet on what particular weeks will these sets be released, and how to have these minifigs in the US once October kicks in, but based on previous TRU Briktober promotionals, we can assume that these minifigure sets will be given away for free with a minimum of qualifying LEGO purchase of $50 and above, exclusively at all TRU stores in the US. On the other hand, they will go on sale in Germany for 14.99€ per set and will also be given for free with a minimum LEGO purchase of 40€ and above.

It seems that the high-flying ninja action to be delivered by The LEGO Ninjago Movie come September 22, has also reached the LEGOLAND California Resort and Discovery Centers. On September 23 and 24, visitors of these LEGO-themed parks will be treated with weekend full of epic games and activities that only LEGOLAND can deliver. Dubbed as LEGO Ninjago Days, families will experience a whole new level fun activities including The LEGO Ninjago Movie character meet and greets, a mystery mosaic build, miniland scavenger hunt (with a cool LEGO mystery prize at stake), and a Family GameSpace featuring The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game to name a few.

LEGO Fans in London Will Have A Head Start in Being the First Owners of a LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) Set!

LEGO has made it official: several LEGO VIP members in London may now become the very first proud owners of the massively cool, LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) ahead of the set’s global release on October 1. Posted as a Facebook event, LEGO announces the midnight launch of the famed 7,500+ piece set at London’s LEGO flagship store at Leicester Square. Here are the details.

Come join us and become one of the first owners* of the brand new LEGO® Star Wars™ Ultimate Collector Series Millennium Falcon 75192.

We will be opening the LEGO Store at Leicester Square on September 13th at 11:59 PM for the release of this epic set!

Though LEGO’s announcement of the Falcon’s first 100 sets being made available for the first 100 customers who will hold a vigil on the 13^th, the post didn’t mention exactly how many sets will the store be able to sell on that day. Rebelscum seems to stumble upon an intel that suggests that the LEGO London Leicester Store will be able to hold stocks for 147 sets and no more, considering the sheer size of these sets and its box dimensions. Once sold out (which I reckon will be very, very quickly), the UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) will only be available again during its global release on October 1.

Another interesting bit of novelty that comes with the perks of being the very first owner of the UCS Millennium Falcon is the privilege of having your UCS MF sets signed by its respective designers. However, the lead designer for the 75192 Hans Burkhard Schlömer (who goes by the name BrickCommander over at Brickset) has confirmed that he will not be around during the signing.

Nevertheless, there are still plenty of good things in store even if you missed out on meeting Hans in person. Being one of the very first LEGO Star Wars faithful to own the UCS Falcon also allows you to be the proud holder of a limited edition black and silver LEGO VIP Card – a fitting tribute to the world’s largest LEGO set. As The Brick Fan pointed out, LEGO released the very first Ultimate Collector’s Millennium Falcon (10179) back in 2007 together with a Certificate of Authenticity. Now fast forward 10 years later, a set as grand as 75192 is also expected to land in LEGO stores with a sense of exclusivity. Though there seem to be no double VIP points offered during this period, being an owner of this exclusive black VIP card will entitle its bearer to special LEGO Star Wars promotions slated in 2018. According to sources, LEGO fans in the US who will purchase the 75192 until the end of this year, both in-store and online (given that there are still stocks left), will also be entitled to this exclusive LEGO VIP card.

LEGO fans in London surely have the larger share of the brick-built pie on this one, and the rest of us will have to wait until October to secure our own copy. We’re not sure if this midnight launch promotional on the 13^th will only be limited or exclusive to the LEGO Store in Leicester Square – we’ll keep our eyes and ears open for more news on this side of the galaxy so be sure to bookmark our site and sign-up for our notifications.

Toys R Us Announces The LEGO Ninjago Movie In-Store Building Event.

We’re now just a couple of weeks away before The LEGO Ninjago Movie hits the big screen, and to mark the occasion, Toys R Us in the US will be running another in-store building event on September 23 – just a day after the first screening of TLNM. From 12PM to 2PM of the said date, kids ages 6 and up will have a chance of building and bringing home their very own, Mini Ninja Training Temple at all Toys R Us stores nationwide.

Similar to previous TRU build and take home events, the Mini Ninja Training Temple comes in limited stocks so it will be better if you take advantage of early registrations. The temple itself is sort of like a microbuild, that takes cue from Ninjago’s second largest set (but not necessarily part of the LEGO Ninjago Movie film franchise), Temple of Airjitzu (70751). There’s also a mention of another ‘ninja training activity’ where in-store participants will receive a free Ninjago headband on the 23rd.
