The official trailer of the Solo: A Star Wars story has finally been dropped on the Internet. And just in time with the trailer’s release, LEGO has finally broken its silence and has released its long overdue official images of its LEGO tie-in counterparts.
If you recall since early last March, we already spotted these official images as they made their appearance in various online retailer sites around the globe. However, they came only in bits and pieces which really doesn’t give us a comprehensive look at what each of the LEGO Star Wars Han Solo sets have to offer. This time around, LEGO has finally lifted the veil, and gives us a closer look at each of these before they are out on shelves worldwide on April 13. Check these out.

With so many entertainment franchises around us, branding has become an essential means of standing out. Warner Bros. had a brilliant idea going when with the impending release of the next installment for the Fantastic Beasts spinoff of the Harry Potter films they’d group the two together under one banner.
That’s why The Crimes of Grindelwald is now prefaced in its trailer with the “Wizarding World” label, covering the movie adaptations of the Harry Potter books by JK Rowling and the Fantastic Beasts films which have the British author as screenwriter. Companies making Potter-verse tie-in merchandise are now following suit.
Of course, that also includes LEGO. Already the official website has begun work on a Harry Potter mini-section to be branded after “JK Rowling’s Wizarding World™”. This of course is in line with both the impending premiere of The Crimes of Gridelwald and the wave of upcoming LEGO Potter sets.
Said LEGO merchandise is roughly divided into tie-ins for Harry Potter and for Fantastic Beasts. For the latter, we have the “Grindelwald’s Escape” set (yet unnumbered) that captures a scene from the film hinted at in its first trailer; for the former, we have the magnificent Hogwarts Great Hall (75954).
And the deluge will not be stopping there. Other products such as Harry Potterminifigure collections and BrickHeadz sets are still waiting in the wings for releasing later this year. It’s a sure bet that these items will be populating the Wizarding World section of LEGO.com once it’s fully operational.
After its appearance on the shelves of LEGOLAND Discovery Center last week, it looks like the LEGO BrickHeadz counterparts of Mr. Incredible and Frozone will also be available through other retailers. This is particularly the case with Toys R Us Singapore as they’ve listed the LEGO BrickHeadz Mr. Incredible and Frozone (41613) on their web store. Additionally, TRU’s regional site posted some crisp images of the set and its accompanying product description as you can see below.
Build your own LEGO® BrickHeadz™ 41613 Mr. Incredible & Frozone from Disney|Pixar’s blockbuster Incredibles 2 movie, with this special double pack! Check out the crime-fighting duo’s super costumes and then display them on their baseplates for all your friends to see.

This particular BrickHeadz tandem is expected to be available in the market sometime this month, followed by the recently spottedLEGO BrickHeadz Back to the Future Marty and Doc (41611) set which is now making rounds over at Target stores.
It took quite some time, February actually, but confirmation is finally here. We know that LEGO is expanding on their BrickHeadz line this year, with the tie-ins for Solo: A Star Wars Story and the full-customization set Go Brick Me (41597), but there’re also some blasts from the past.
By that we mean that a BrickHeadz 2-pack of Marty McFly and Doc Brown from the Back to the Future franchise, rumored since two months ago, has finally been confirmed. Not only do we learn its set number – (41611) – we also have a box image, a photo taken from an actual store.
Surprised? That’s because the picture was snapped off an actual LEGO BrickHeadz Back to the Future Marty and Doc (41611) on display at a Target store, according to Bricksetwhich posted the news. This is very interesting as it seems Target is already selling before release date.
Now, the Brickset alert didn’t mention the price for this Back to the Future BrickHeadz 2-pack, though if it’s anything like other 2-packs it’ll be around $19.99 as well. Officially releasing in May, Marty and Doc will be joining the astounding 30-plus LEGO sets coming out for this year.
You’ve got to love how Marty’s hair is translated into brick form for his figure.
News of it first came out Sunday this week, so considering the fact that there were so many instances of “fake news” (of the intentionally hilarious April Fools’ type) that were flying about on the first of the month, we needed to take this one with a grain of salt.
Thankfully, it would seem that this piece of new LEGO Star Wars merchandise is on the level. While only one image of the final product is available now, it’s enough to confirm the existence of a new BB-8 polybag, numbered 40288. Chances are high that this is a promotional item.
We’ve gotten to see previous versions of a LEGO BB-8 before, from the 1106-piece LEGO Star Wars BB-8 (75187) to the micro-build that was done for Make and Take on October–November of last year at Toys ‘R’ Us stores (big sigh, folks). This one’s entirely new, and the design’s certainly a beauty.
This is an official polybag version of BB-8 so the details as seen in the photo are accurate to the breakout droid star from the Star Wars sequel trilogy. Some its components are printed in signature BB-8 decals, though of course they can be incorporated into bigger MOCs by builders.
No further details are available just yet on the LEGO Star Wars BB-8 polybag (40288), or for the promo that it’s involved in. So far, the signs in the stars leads to the possibility that this may be related to a May the 4th promotions, but until we have solid proof, then we will continue to keep an eye for future developments. The LEGO Store Calendar for the month of May is expected to out anytime soon, and hopefully by then we will get a confirmation.
You need only to look at their version of the venerable space freighter the Millennium Falcon to know without a doubt, that the Ultimate Collectors Series within the LEGO Star Wars line is one of the most awesome scale models ever. They could even give Japanese plastic models some competition.
On the last day of March, we managed to pick up some of the first images available of the latest LEGO Star Wars UCS model: the Y-Wing Star-fighter (75181). They consisted of photos of the box on a lucky store shelf. This time however, we’ve got more pictures to share.
The official images came in the wake of the formal announcement by LEGO of the UCS Y-Wing (75181). Now, franchise fans who have only followed the movies might remember the Y-Wing as a cannon fodder fighter craft, though its rep is a little bit better in the Expanded Universe/Legends continuity.
Regardless, LEGO’s UCS treatment of this space fighter-bomber is pure technical awesome. The assortment of 1967 bricks and building elements that come together to give form to the Y-Wing makes for one of the best Star Wars ship models yet.
Any mechanical fanatic will appreciate the detailing of the components of UCS Y-Wing (75181), from the placement of the laser turrets and ion cannon on the cockpit block section, to the proton torpedo tubes and the telltale engines. Also notable is the star-fighters color scheme of Gold Squadron from Episode IV – A New Hope, destroyed in the Death Star battle.
Being a Gold Squadron Y-Wing, the model also includes a minifigure of Gold Leader Jon Vander, as well as his trusty astromech droid R2-BHD.
Furthermore, the kit comes with its own display stand and info plaque, for display purposes. LEGO Star Wars UCS Y-Wing (75181) officially becomes available May 4.

Nobody expected it when it was first announced: a new LEGO BrickHeadz set that boasts of being the first fully customizable one of its kind. The fact that LEGO announced its release date to be April 1 of all times, made it seem like a joke. But no, it’s real.
Sunday, April 1, marks the release date of LEGO BrickHeadz: Go Brick Me (41597). As stated, it’s a customizable set with 708 pieces to create not just one but two blank BrickHeadz figures, which can then be decorated with even more bricks and accessories, just the way you want it.
And it was no April Fools prank. Go Brick Me (41597) is now listed as being available on several iterations of the LEGO Store: US $29.99, UK £25.99, Canada Ca$39.99, Netherlands €34,99, and 270,00 kr in Denmark. Just from those prices alone, you know you’re getting a 2-for-1 BrickHeadz deal.
Of course, even if you don’t happen to like making BrickHeadz, this is still 708 extra pieces that can still go into good use for any of your future MOCs. Other than Go Brick Me (41597), other LEGO BrickHeadz released Sunday are the LEGO Star Wars Solo and Marvel Avengers tie-ins.
It’s finally here! The LEGO Ideas TRON: Legacy (21314) set is now available both in-store and online. This next LEGO Ideas set is based on Disney’s sequel to the original TRON movie released in 1982. This LEGO Ideas set comes in 230 pieces and retails for $34.99. If you’re planning to get one for you and a friend, I suggest that you make purchase in a LEGO store nearest you, since LEGO Shop@Home only limits one set per purchase which is quite a damper considering that they usually allow up to 2 purchases per set. In any case, check out this cool designer video about this set, and click here for its complete product description/press release.
If you’re eyeing on this set and you have this ticked out as a Day 1 purchase, be sure to do your purchase today if you wish to grab hold of the LEGO Seasonal Iconic Easter (5005249) minifigure set. Today marks the last day of this LEGO store promotional, and as far as LEGO Shop@Home is concerned, the Iconic Easter minifigure still appears in my online shopping bag which is a good thing, suggesting that the minifigure is still available.
