First LEGO Ideas Review 2016 Now On its Way – Nine Projects Qualify

Hasan Jensen of the LEGO Ideas Team has recently announced the end of the First LEGO Ideas Review 2016 qualifying period Monday morning, midnight Central European Summer Time (in the US that is 6PM on May 1, last Sunday), showcasing the nine LEGO Ideas entries that have hit 10,000 votes among the LEGO community.

First LEGO Ideas Review 2016 With Nine Projects to Become a Potential Official Set

Among these nine entries, four were inspired by the movies taking their cues from films such as Jurassic Park (1993), Star Wars (2015), and Short Circuit (1986), others are of modular types, and two science-themed builds based on an archaeological museum and particle accelerator – all voted upon by members of the LEGO Ideas community between January and May of this year. Just in time to make it to the finish line is PepaQuin’s Johnny Five robot which garnered the necessary votes just in time before the end of the qualifying period.

The people have spoken, so let’s see what the guys over at the LEGO Review Board have to say about them. These are all great sets, with the Rolling BB-8 from mjsmiley and arbot138 closest to our hearts. Let’s go back and visit these entries once more, and what their creators have to say. Be sure to click on the sets’ names if you wish to see additional pics from these entries.

Who do you think will win the nod from the LEGO Review Board? Share your personal favorites in the comments section that will follow.

Fossil Museum by whatpumpkin

[]

This set attempts to capture that magnificent museum experience in a small display featuring four popular dinosaurs (and one popular pterosaur) in skeletons as accurate as I could achieve at this scale. The genuses are:

  • Stegosaurus
  • Pteranodon
  • Apatosaurus
  • Two Deinonychus
  • Spinosaurus

Additionally, a paleontologist and a family of three are in the exhibit, to stand in awe at the creatures before them. Five plaques on the exhibit theoretically display the name of the species, though at this scale actually doing so would be difficult. Each dinosaur has a reasonable amount of articulation, if you wish to pose them in your own way when on display, or if you wish to have some dino skeletons duking it out. The skeletons are not white, because from my experience they rarely are. Fossils in museums are usually varying shades of tan and brown, so I did my best to choose the most fitting tone I could. This set has 599 pieces.

Gingerbread House by Swan Dutchman

[]

There are some great sets available to make a Christmas village… and every year there is a new set to expand it. Wouldn’t it be nice to expand your village with a gingerbread house?

This gingerbread house is almost edible: it’s made of cookie walls, decorative icing, candy and caramelized windows. And why not? You can even put a light inside to brighten things up. Mind your teeth though with this cookie house: bricks are a bit chewy.

Jedi High Council Chamber by lojaco

[]

The Jedi High Council Chamber on Coruscant, the room where the jedi masters meet during the rule of the Galactic Republic.

With this model you will be able to reconstruct the decisive moments of the second Star Wars trilogy (Ep. I, II & III): from the first meeting with the little Anakin, to the growth of the Dark Side of the Force with the unborn Darth Vader.

A setting that can be populated by characters that are gradually collected with other Lego Star Wars sets, but already enriched with some unreleased knights and/or one new  “Transparent-Light-Blue” minifigure (to act as hologram of a Jedi knight away).

The set, with sliding doors mechanically operated, can be enriched with a LEGO Power Functions Light item (ref. 8870) to create glowing pushing buttons.

Jurassic Park Visitor Center by LDiEgo

[]

The biggest set in a utopian Jurassic Park Theme would be the Visitor Center. This project features a complex building in the facade, as well as some rooms inside to recreate every scene in the movie:

  • Main entrance hall, with two brick built skeletons: a Sauropod and a Tyrannosaurus.
  • “Les Gigantes” restaurant, with gift shop.
  • Kitchen.
  • V.I.P. Dining Room
  • Emergency bunker
  • Showcase theatre
  • Control room
  • Genetics lab with cold storage room

The rooms can be hinged or detached for a better play experience. There is also space for a secret compartment at the main entrance, under the stairs. Minifigures included are:

  • John Hammond
  • Tim Murphy
  • Lex Murphy
  • Donald Gennaro
  • Ray Arnold
  • Robert Muldoon
  • And “The Big One” molded raptor (A.K.A. “Clever Girl”)

It has 2,623 pieces and measures  43.1cm X 28cm X 20.7cm

Modular Train Station by LegoWolf

[]

Add your favourite locomotive to your Lego modular street with a train station! To fit in with the early twentieth century look of other buildings in the series, this model takes inspiration from nineteenth century stations in Europe. These structures were cathedrals to industry, marrying classical stonework and statuary with technological innovations like all-glass roofs. Many of these stations are still in use and have been renovated over the decades, bringing in advances like electric lights and RFID cards.

Features:

  • The platform at the back lets you lay track in the same direction as your street, so that your diorama can fit in a compact space. The platform height is sized for standard Lego trains.
  • There is equal detail on front and back, which is unusual for modular buildings.
  • The roof and upper back wall detach, exposing the vaulted interior for play.
  • The focal point inside is the ornate clock and timetable, which features replaceable letters so that you can set your own destinations.
  • The interior features a ticketing office, ticket vending machine, newspaper box, snack bar, public toilets, and turnstiles leading to the platform.
  • The exterior features statuary, decorative moulding and brickwork, and arched glass windows. There is a bicycle rack for couriers in the front, along with public notice boards.
  • A snack bar opens onto the interior and the station platform, because captive customers are profitable customers!
  • Minifigures include: Ticket Vendor, Snack Seller, Businesswoman Commuter, and Bicycle Courier.

It comes in approximately 3000 bricks, measuring at 10 inches in width, 10 inches in depth, and 12 inches in height (25.5cm X 25.5cm X 30cm)

Old Fishing Store by robenanne

[]

Robenanne’s Old Fishing Store takes its cue from LEGO’s line-up of Christmas modular sets. The building consists of roughly 2160 parts and three floors: the main store, office, and lookout. The choice of brown and sand green gives it a realistic feeling. It comes with an add-on Dock with buoy and fishing boats, and a Boat Repair Shop. The dock and buoy have about 545 bricks.

It also includes:

  • Three minifigures: Fisherman, Store Keeper, and Captain.
  • Creature elements such as mini fish, crab, starfish, and snow owl.
  • Other pieces include flicking hooks, bottles, baits, fishing poles, barrels, treasure chest, dive mask, dive, tanks, chains and a whole lot fishing materials and equipments.

Particle Accelerator by JKBrickworks

[]

Help these intrepid scientists with their quest to find the (Mini)Figgs Boson! Or maybe just to find out what a 2×4 LEGO brick is made of.

This working particle accelerator uses a simple system of spinning wheels to accelerate a LEGO ball around a ring. Although the propulsion system is different than that of a real particle accelerator, it’s a great way to illustrate the concept. Not to mention, it is fun to play with. Multiple balls can be inserted simultaneously and obstacles can be introduced for the ball(s) to collide with.

The set could be scaled anywhere from the basic accelerator and ring (which combined are only 170 pieces) all the way up to a fully styled installation like the one I have designed. The inclusion of a small control room with a few minifig scientists would also be a nice addition and add to the play value.

Rolling BB-8!! by mjsmiley and artbot138

[]

This unique BB-8 was designed with the primary goal of being able to move with his head staying up on top.  The entire model was made using 100% Genuine Lego parts.  His shells were of course carefully painted (and if this model is approved and created by Lego, the parts would come printed as so many Lego parts are).  Inside you’ll find Lego weights suspended from the central axle that bolsters up two Lego magnets.  Those magnets are held up close to the top of the ball and attract the two magnets built into BB-8’s head.  The head uses a cockpit dome (painted), hinge parts, and the smallest Lego wheels to skate on top of the body.  The body’s shell started out as Tatooine from the Lego Star Wars Planet series.  The total part count is around 180 pieces.

This Rolling BB-8 is super fun to fidget with, roll about, and satisfies a midpoint between static model and full on electric RC.  It would make a great addition to any LEGO or Star Wars Fan’s collection!

  • Features an accurately rendered LEGO BB-8 that actually rolls.
  • This Model is able to roll on a single axis while keeping BB-8’s Head up on Top!
  • BB-8 Comes with attachable arms for both his Electric Zapper and Thumbs-up Torch abilities.
  • BB-8 has a desert base station that uses a turn crank to demonstrate his rolling ability.
  • The base station has a compartment to hold BB-8’s accessories.

Johnny Five by PepaQuin

[]

Number 5, a.k.a. Johnny Five, is the hero of the Short Circuit movies. Number 5 was one of five prototype robots, but after being struck by lightning gained a sense of awareness and free will. The multitude of his expressive abilities, combined with a youthful demeanor and thirst for knowledge (need more input!), made him an instant favorite with audiences in the 80’s.

This small model attempts to replicate the sense of wonder that the robot often displayed. It stands around 7″ tall and is very flexible. Arms, torso, head, and even ‘eyebrows’ can be posed however desired. Also featured are a retracting shoulder-mount and freely moving treads.

Number 5 contains approximately 300 pieces, making this an ideal mid-range set.

Congratulations to those who made it in the first LEGO Review Stage for this year! The results of the third 2015 LEGO Ideas Review will be out in a few weeks, so be sure to stay tuned here in the Brick Show to find out who among the nine aspirants from 2015 will make it to become the next official LEGO Ideas set.

LEGO Nexo Knights 4D The Book of Creativity Official Trailer Released

The LEGO Nexo Knights 4D The Book of Creativity official trailer has just been released by LEGOLAND Florida, and it looks awesome!

LEGOLAND in Florida will be launching a new 4D film following the success of its immersive theatrical attraction LEGO Movie 4D a New Adventure earlier this year. Starting May 26, park guests – children and adults alike – will have a one-of-a-kind experience of “downloading” themselves into the kingdom of Knighton and joining Merlok 2.0 and the band of Nexo Knights as they thwart the plans of Jestro and his Book of Monsters from acquiring the most powerful magic book yet – the Book of Creativity.

To give the audience a peek at what will happen next, here’s the LEGO Nexo Knights 4D The Book of Creativity official trailer, that the brick-built theme park recently launched.  Watch this.

Check Out the LEGO Nexo Knights 4D The Book of Creativity Official Trailer!

Looking at the trailer, it seems that Jestro manages to snatch the ‘Book of Creativity’ (it’s kind of neat to see the classic LEGO brick on the book’s cover jacket – it’s a cool way to graphically convey creativity), and feeding it to the Book of Monsters, upgrading its infamous power exponentially! The NEXO Knights are really in a tight spot on this one.

[]

[]

Aside from the uniquely immersive 12-minute 4D experience, LEGOLAND visitors and avid gamers who are hooked on playing the LEGO Nexo Knights Merlok 2.0 mobile app game, will be thrilled to know that LEGOLAND offers six scannable NEXO Powers not found anywhere else.

Here’s what LEGOLAND Florida Resort has to say about their latest 4D attraction:

Guests can download themselves into an all-new “4D” film experience starring the LEGO® NEXO KNIGHTS™ at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort starting Thursday, May 26, 2016. It’s an immersive, animated adventure created especially for LEGOLAND Parks and LEGOLAND Discovery Centers around the world.

It’s up to the LEGO NEXO KNIGHTS to defeat the evil Jestro, the Book of Monsters and their Lava Monsters all set in a “4D” world — think wind, water and fog — bringing the battle to life all around the theater. Plus, guests can go on a quest of their own to discover six shields hidden across the theme park to unlock exclusive “power ups” for the LEGO NEXO KNIGHTS Merlok 2.0 mobile app.

Set in the futuristic world of Knighton, “LEGO NEXO KNIGHTS: The Book of Creativity” follows five young knights in their quest to defeat Jestro, the Book of Monsters and all their Lava Monsters. Led by heroic Clay Moorington, the band of knights join forces with the great digital wizard, Merlok 2.0, to vanquish the enemy and stop him getting his devious hands on the powerful and completely unique Book of Creativity — and something never seen before in Knighton.

The brand-new, 12-minute film is the latest way for children to interact with the NEXO KNIGHTS innovative world. More than 170 shields can be found across various touchpoints including online, in LEGO sets and by watching the TV series. The shields can be scanned into the Merlok 2.0 app, upgrading players’ powers to help the knights fight marauding monsters.

Those who already have the app will be delighted at the chance to get exclusive “power ups” at LEGOLAND Florida Resort to enhance their playing prowess. Those who don’t should download before they visit to kick-start an exciting play experience with exclusive content.

“LEGO NEXO KNIGHTS: The Book of Creativity” will play in the theme park’s Wells Fargo Fun Town Theater alongside “The LEGO Movie™ 4D A New Adventure,” another immersive theatrical attraction that opened earlier this year.

Take a Look at These Absurdly Hi-Res Images of Summer 2016 LEGO Marvel and DC Comics Superheroes Sets

Just a couple of days ago, we had our first look at the official images of LEGO Marvel and DC Comics Superheroes sets slated this summer. Though these are official, those who would like to see and appreciate the fine details on these sets may opt for higher-resolution images. This is exactly what we have right now, courtesy of the Ukrainian retailer site, Rozetka (thanks to a tip from CM4Sci over at Eurobricks). They uploaded on their site hi-res images of the following LEGO Superheroes sets: 76054, 76055, 76057, 76058, and 76059. This allows us to have a better look at the excellent details of each, especially the minifigures that are included in them. Click on the images for a zoomed-in view. Let’s take a look.

I particularly like the painted scales on the arms of Green Goblin, including his sling bag. The Ghost Rider minifigure is over the top as well. So what do you think about these close-up images? What is your favorite so far?

Exclusive LEGO Superheroes Captain America (30447) and Nightwing (30606) Polybags Now Showing Up on eBay.

Two exclusive minifigures have been showing up by the numbers over at eBay, quite earlier ahead of its expected official release dates. The exclusive LEGO Superheroes Captain America (30447) and Nightwing (30606) are expected to arrive in affordable polybags.

If you recall, one of the limited-time offers featured in the LEGO Store Calendar for May is the LEGO Marvel Superheroes Captain America (30447) considered to be the very first polybag version of the Super Soldier’s minifigure. We first featured 30447 when Stephen made the announcement, and it was eventually listed at Toy R Us earlier in March retailing at $3.99. As of this writing, TRU indicates that the LEGO Captain America’s Motorcycle is currently out of stock, with the option of being notified via email once it is available.

However, for those who can’t wait until the end of the month to get this first-time-ever polybag of Cap, 30447 has been appearing by the numbers over at eBay, with an initial bid averaging from $9.99 to $12.99 for sealed, unopened polybags. Here are some images we pulled from the site.

[]

[]

[]

[]

The case might not be the same with the LEGO Superhero DC Comics Nightwing minifigure. This newest rendition of Nightwing first appeared during the latter part of March as a bundled promo for LEGO’s direct-to-DVD exclusive Gotham City Breakout scheduled to be released on June 21. Initially, there was no info yet whether or not this minifigure would come in a polybag or even if it would receive a set number. In retrospect, the first mention of 30606 as a LEGO DC Comics polybag first appeared in February, though it wasn’t clear then to whom it belongs.

Last Saturday, an image (leaked?) of the supposedly LEGO Nightwing exclusive began to make rounds over at LEGO forums, and this time set number 30606 is now confirmed to belong to this latest version of Nightwing. Given as it is, we are now quite sure that this polybag will be packed inside the box of Gotham City Break Out DVD. It seems that Dick Grayson will be coming back in a dark and stormy night.

[]

What is probably more surprising is the fact that 30606 is now listed on eBay by a certain seller named minifigureland for an initial bid of $12.95. He claims to have seven more of these, with 87 sold already. He also lists the following product details. Photo credits go to minifigureland.

LEGO Super Heroes: Batman III MiniFigure – NightWing (Blue, 2016) From Set 30606

  • Appears in Set(s): #30606 Polybag
  • Theme: Super Heroes: Batman III
  • Year Released: 2016
  • Minifig ID: N/A
  • Condition: New Condition!
  • Accessory include: Two Trans-Light Blue Batons
  • Extra Features: All New for 2016!
  • Shipping: Discounted Shipping if you purchase multiple items!

[]

[]

It’s interesting to note that based on these images, LEGO Nightwing 30606 comes with double-faced printing on its headpiece, being a re-color of the Red Nightwing as seen in LEGO DC Comics Superheroes Batman: Man-Bat Attack (76011). We’re not quite sure yet how this latest Blue Nightwing (30606) fits in the overall scheme of LEGO sets given that it now has a set number and a polybag, unlike other limited-edition exclusive minifigs.

[]

[]

This might be a welcomed offer for minifig enthusiasts who just need to have this Blue Nightwing polybag without necessarily purchasing the movie itself. But those who can extend their patience a little, and wish to have a laugh or two with the wackiness of our DC Superheroes in their minifig forms, may opt to wait until June 21 for the film’s official release.

UPDATE: Brick Toy News reports that LEGO Marvel Superheroes Captain America (30447) has been spotted over at local TRU stores, though there was no mention of any specific branch or location. We’ll keep you posted on the latest developments on these minifigures so be sure to stay tuned only here at the Brick Show!

LEGO Nexo Knights 4D Coming to LEGOLAND Resorts and LEGOLAND Discovery Centers.

A while ago, we mentioned that the LEGO Store Calendar for June is already up, jam-packed with exclusive in-store promos and exclusives. One particular plug that caught our attention will happen sometime soon at LEGOLAND Resorts and Discovery Centers. Following the success of the LEGO Nexo Knights theme when it made its debut last January, LEGO now extends the hi-tech medieval adventures of Knighton into the real world with its announcement of a brand new 4D movie exclusive.

2016 LEGO Creator Sets – What’s Still Missing?

This is the third in the series of updates that we want to share with you regarding what’s still missing from LEGO’s 2016 themed sets. This time, we put the spotlight over at the 2016 LEGO Creator sets, and what I believe is still missing in this exciting line-up.

These sets are already listed in several databases based on reports that have been making rounds recently within the LEGO community. LEGO, however, has not yet released the official images of these sets. We kicked off with what’s missing starting with some LEGO Marvel and DC Comics sets that we are expecting to be released before or after the last quarter of this year and with some from the LEGO Friends theme.

More 2016 LEGO Creator Sets That We Can Watch Out For

This time, let’s take a quick look at some of the sets from the LEGO Creator line-up that is slated to arrive this year, particularly those from the Creator Expert series. Since its debut in March 2013, with the Palace Cinema 10232 being the first to have the LEGO Creative Expert branding, the line-up already has 14 sets, with most of it received quite well by experienced AFOLs and TFOLs. For this year, we first have our LEGO Creator Expert set with the Brick Bank 10251, and as it seems, three more sets are slated to be out of the works before the end of this year. Several sources, both local and abroad, have reported on these LEGO shop @ home exclusives with several databases already updated. Discussion about these sets first appeared in Eurobricks, where forum member CM4Sci specifically mentioned 10252, 10253, and 10254 as exclusive direct-to-consumer or D2C sets scheduled to be released this year, the first being the Brick Bank 10251.

Just a disclaimer: the image above is NOT the official image of these sets. It’s just my playful re-imagining of previous LEGO sets. These remaining LEGO Creator sets due to be released this year are:

2016 LEGO Creator Volkswagen Beetle (10252)

No. of Pieces: ???; SRP: $99.99 ; Minifigures: ???

The Volkswagen Beetle 10252 is rumored to be released in August, with a pre-sale for LEGO VIPs in July for $100, according to CM4Sci. Reactions are varied within the community regarding 10252, the most obvious was the thought that it might not be too far away from the Volkswagen Beetle 10187 of 2008. However, some sources claim that the newer Beetle 10252 will have a smoother build, probably featuring a stud-less design in contrast to that of 10187.

[]

2016 LEGO Creator Big Ben (10253)

No. of Pieces: ???; SRP: $349.99; Minifigures: ???

It was also mentioned in one of the forums that the LEGO Creator Big Ben 10253 was seen listed in a retailer price list, showing under “Creator Expert Big Ben” with an October release date and SRP of $349.99. Forum member just2good claims to have seen 10253 already (not sure if it is an actual build or an image that he saw), describing it as:

  • Made largely of tan pieces and elements.
  • There’s part of the palace connecting to the tower.
  • Microfigures (board game figures) were used as the detailing for some of the walls.
  • The clock face for Big Ben 10253 is made of a radar dish which is flipped around.
  • It has the following dimensions: 19 cm / 7.4 in. wide; 60 cm / 23.6 in. high

In a nutshell, J2G claims that 10253’s build is very much similar to that of Big Ben as seen in Legoland Windsor Resort. Though an October release date is a little bit far off, some believe that an earlier release date may be set in July.

[]

2016 LEGO Creator Winter Train (10254)

No. of Pieces: ???; SRP: ???; Minifigures: ???

Details are quite few regarding the build of the Winter Train 10254, except from a share over at Brickset forums:

Normally I wouldn’t give away Exclusive details, but I believe the train community deserves some good news for a change.

It’s all but confirmed that there will be a Christmas train in Q4. It features lots and lots of presents/gifts and some minifigures. From what I could tell it’s not a re-release of the ‘previous’ Christmas train, but that’s all I know for now.

Please take this with a grain of salt, as plans can (and do) easily change throughout the year.”

Given this info, some speculated that 10254 will look somewhat similar to that of Constitution Train Chase 79111 from the Lone Ranger theme, mashed up with Holiday Train 10173 from 2006.

[]

[]

As exciting as these new sets may be, we need to grab the salt shaker and take these things with a pinch of salt. Though these sets may appeal more to the AFOL community, those who are looking for a fun and challenging build will find these upcoming LEGO Creator Expert sets worth every penny. Stay tuned for our next update where we’ll look closer into what’s still missing in 2016 under LEGO Disney Princess, Nexo Knights, and Ninjago. Hit that comment button and feel free to share your thoughts about this. In the meantime, check out these official LEGO Creator Expert set images that we recently added to our database.

Images and Building Instructions for LEGO Star Wars Escape the Space Slug May the 4th Exclusive

Starting April 30 and running until May 4, selected LEGO VIP customers will be treated with a very rare goodie – one of 3,500 to be exact – which is the LEGO Star Wars Escape the Space Slug May the 4th exclusive set.

Since Saturday, a lot of LEGO VIP customers already received this unnumbered and untitled exclusive that comes free for every minimum purchase of $150 of any LEGO Star Wars merchandise. With only 3,500 sets ever released and distributed to over 120 LEGO Stores worldwide, it will not come as a surprise if this set appears on eBay at very ridiculous prices. Do take note that the chance to own this set comes by invitation only, with 25 or so invites per LEGO Store as reported by Promobricks. You also need to spend a certain amount of LEGO purchases as a VIP member to receive the invitation via email.

Christian Giudici of Promobricks posted a bunch of close-up pictures and a cool speed-build video showcasing this exclusive set straight from Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. Take a look at these images.

[]

[]

One thing that is obvious right from the start is the lack of any set number or title on its glossy, cardboard packaging. The building instructions don’t indicate any set number as well, though, with some of the sets given away in the US, the number of parts is indicated on the box which is 161 pieces.

[]

As you may see, the build is pretty straightforward and doesn’t require a lot of time to build. It’s nice to see how LEGO managed to present the Millennium Falcon as it escapes the jaws of the mammoth Exogorth. Well for obvious reasons, the scaling is not spot-on considering that you only have 161 pieces to work with but still, I don’t have any qualms about a rare exclusive set given away for free.  Here’s a 90-second, speed build video of the LEGO Star Wars Escape the Space Slug set courtesy of Promobricks.

If you missed this chance of owning this exclusive, Eurobricks forum member Dorothy Vader was kind enough to upload a pdf file of its building instructions if you want to recreate this iconic Star Wars escape scene. Most of its parts are pretty basic, with some of it you may already have. A quick visit at Brick Link will help you speed things up if you wish to have the parts exactly as they are.

In closing, be sure not to miss out on another free May 4th treat which is the LEGO Star Wars First Order Stormtrooper (30602) minifigure. This polybag exclusive is available to all customers for a minimum, single purchase receipt of $50 for any LEGO Star Wars merchandise at any LEGO Store or shop.LEGO.com until May 4, Wednesday or until supplies last.

First Look on Some LEGO 2016 Daily Mail Promotional Giveaways

If you’re from the UK, then probably you’re looking forward to the LEGO 2016 Daily Mail. Running since 2013, the Daily Mail newspaper LEGO promotional has been giving away free LEGO polybags alongside other mainstream newspapers in the region such as The Daily Mirror and The Sun.

For the past three years, we’ve seen a handful of these exclusive goodie bags, with some receiving good feedback and some even landing on eBay for the benefit of those who are living outside of UK who wish to have one of them. Here are some of Daily Mail’s LEGO promotional sets from the past years.

  • LEGO City Mini Dumper 30348
  • LEGO DC Comics Superheroes The Batmobile 30446
  • LEGO Nexo Knights Knight’s Cycle 30371

They didn’t go into the details of mentioning their sources, but it’s interesting to note that among the 9 LEGO promotional sets that richardk predicted, 30371 hit the spot. We just have to wait for more info as they come and see if these sets can be confirmed.

Take A Look At This Neat Infographic Feel Guide for LEGO Disney Collectible Minifigures (71012)

We’re just a couple of days away from the much-awaited release of LEGO Disney’s CMF 71012. With some fortunate souls able to grab their polybags early on at their local Target stores, the Brick Fan was kind enough to come up with this neat infographic feel guide for LEGO Disney Collectible Minifigures to help you feel your way through each of the blind bags.

We mentioned before that the Disney CMF’s box distribution allows you a 3 to 4 probability of getting the minifigure that you want – with the equally annoying result of getting 2 to 3 duplicates at the same time. The only big question is: what are the things that you need to consider while feeling your way through those 60 or so blind bags?

Overall, LEGO Disney’s Collectible Minifigures may look easy to feel in theory, but for some minifig fans and veteran collectors, 71012’s pieces are the most difficult to feel inside their blind bags.

This review video of YouTuber Coconuthead Productions might as well provide additional help in landing the LEGO Disney minifigs that you’ve always wanted.

We hope these tips will help you out once the LEGO Disney Collectible Minifigures officially arrive on May 1.
