LEGO Con ’22 Poll for New “Minecraft” Minifig in 2023 Started

Never has a separate videogame franchise perhaps been so perfect a fit with LEGO than “Minecraft”. It started with a LEGO Ideas set, then it expanded into a full theme line. We’ve already gotten several new LEGO Minecraft sets this year, with more coming still. And the synergy goes both ways. Last year during the first LEGO Con, a poll was initiated for a new “Minecraft” character skin minifigure. From a choice between warrior, ranger, and ninja, a ninja minifig was voted, joining “Minecraft” sets this year. And this past LEGO Con 2022, another online poll for a new “Minecraft” character skin has just begun.

As told by Brickset, there will be a new “Minecraft” minifig character skin coming to the theme next year. Like before, it’ll be decided by an online poll on social media. Just after LEGO Con, the vote was started on LEGO’s official Twitter page. Where the 2021 poll for the 2022 skin offered three diverse options, this year we only have “knight” variants to choose from. Would you like a Classic Knight, Crystal Knight, or Prismarine Knight to be featured in LEGO Minecraft sets of 2023? You have until June 24 to make your choice.

A New Fan-Voted LEGO Minecraft Minifigure Skin Is Coming in 2022

LEGO CON may well be over, but there are a lot of things to look forward to thanks to LEGO’s very first virtual fan convention. If you recall from last month, one of the highlights of LEGO CON 2021 is a LEGO Minecraft poll where fans are asked to vote among three suggested LEGO Minecraft minifigure skins: a ninja, a warrior, and a ranger. And after several weeks of gathering support, LEGO has finally announced the winner via its social media channel.

With more than 56% of fan votes, the overall winner of this fan vote contest is the LEGO Minecraft Ninja Character minifigure skin. To be precise, this is not the first ninja character that was introduced to the LEGO Minecraft theme. Just last year, LEGO added in the Illlager Raid (21160) set a LEGO Minecraft version of Kai as a way of celebrating Ninjago’s 10th anniversary. However, having a new and original ninja skin added to the growing number of Minecraft-inspired minifigures is a very much welcomed offering.

There is no final word yet on how this new LEGO Minecraft Minifigure will make its debut next year. Whether added to the usual LEGO Minecraft set, or skin packs like those from 2016, I’m pretty sure that this is a welcomed treat to all fans of the theme. We’ll soon find out.

Age Of Ultron MOC : Yes or No?

So,  Jay is off with TotalToysTV, Stephen is off doing his Arcade and  Tatooine MOCs, and I’m here running the articles on the site. I kinda feel the need to get off my butt and go do something for The Brick Show that  doesn’t involve just sitting at my desk with my laptop…I know! I’ll do a MOC! But what of, Stephen’s already doing a Star Wars and City one…Aha! Avengers : Age of Ultron is coming out soon and everyone is raving about it already ; looks like I’ve got a project!

Somethin’ Like this, but more buildings and less randomness…

Well, I have an idea for a project. It all depends if you guys want an Age of Ultron build. It will likely be of the (assumed) final battle scene, in which hundreds of Ultron Sentries come pouring in their masses towards the nine – the first six plus the twins and Vision. We get a glimpse of the battle in the 3rd trailer, around 1:45 on-wards. It would probably be 2 large grey base-plates too. But, would all you fine folks want this build  to happen?

A poll should be going up soon, so that you guys can vote on whether or not  you wanna see an Age of Ultron MOC appear on the site (and possibly the YouTube channel, although unlikely). For now, comment on this article if you want to see this build! Remember, it is not being done by Jason or Stephen, but me instead. I’ll be doing regular updates on it too if it ends up happening!
