LEGO Shop@Home has been recently updated to include a handful of Triple Force Friday promos that you may find attractive. Aside from the new LEGO sets that are based on the upcoming The Rise of Skywalker film and Disney+’s The Mandalorian, all of which are slated to be officially released on October 4, LEGO is spicing up our next brick purchase with these nice promos.

After LEGO has officially unveiled its initial wave of sets based off from the upcoming Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker film, brick fans of the highly celebrated franchise will also get additional LEGO Star Wars sets to include in their collection. As I’ve mentioned before, this may strictly no longer come in as a surprise since these sets were made available already by some third-party retailers ahead of their scheduled embargo. These sets even landed on the hands of some LEGO reviewers across YouTube so most of you may already have a good grasp on what these new LEGO Star Wars sets have to offer. But in any case, and if for some reason, you haven’t kept tabs on what’s happening lately on this side of the brick galaxy, then read on for full product descriptions and some crisp, close-up images of these sets. These and much more are all slated for an official global release during next week’s Triple Force Friday.

Originally designed by Spanish audio-visual artist Pablo Jimenez (aka Bricky_Brick over at LEGO Ideas), the LEGO Ideas Pirate Bay is a modular set that every fan of the classic LEGO Pirates will surely want to have. It has been four years ago when LEGO released its last pirate-inspired sets since the theme’s inception way back in 1989. Undoubtedly, this is one of LEGO’s most beloved and successful original creations, and seeing the LEGO Ideas Pirate Bay finally becoming a reality as an official LEGO set seems to be long overdue. The best part of it is that the brick-built pirate fortress follows a modular design similar to the likes of the LEGO Ideas Old Fishing Store (21310).
Pablo’s original design clocks in at somewhere between 2,550 to 2,650 pieces and includes seven (7) pirate minifigures. It also features four (4) interchangeable levels that highlight some of the things that a sea-loving pirate would love to do: having a hearty meal, manning the cannons, and planning their next adventure on the high seas.

Following the announcement of the LEGO Ideas 123 Sesame Street as our next LEGO Ideas set, the First 2019 Review Results also included another set that eventually received the thumbs up from the LEGO Ideas Design Team. If you recall earlier in May this year, the LEGO Ideas Playable Piano project by Donny Chen (aka SleepyCow over at LEGO Ideas) required further review due to the intricate details and sheer complexity in building the project’s various moving parts and features. Now after four months of waiting, I’m glad that this LEGO Ideas project finally got the green light in becoming an official LEGO set.
The LEGO Ideas Playable Piano is clearly a work of passion for Donny. Being a piano teacher himself, he designed the Playable Piano with expert knowledge on its various moving parts and complex internal mechanism. The attention to detail that Donny devoted to this set is impressive in itself. The original design is made up of 2,798 LEGO pieces that recreate a working grand piano. Here’s a brief description of this set, followed by a brief video that shows us some of the play features on this upcoming set.

We’re just counting the days before Triple Force Friday kicks in, and in case you’re planning to head over at Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California or at Disney Springs at Disney World in Orlando, Florida then you may want to pay a visit at the Disney LEGO Stores in these locations on October 3 to 4.
The Disney Parks blog site has announced that in keeping up with the tradition of launching a new Star Wars film and its tie-in merchandise, the LEGO Stores located in the abovementioned Disney parks will be offering an early midnight sale which will include new LEGO Star Wars sets based on the last installment of the Star Wars Skywalker saga The Rise of Skywalker, Disney+’s The Mandalorian series, and a couple of LSW sets based on earlier Star Wars movies. Truth be told, these sets were already made available at some online retailers and were even spotted on store shelves of third-party retailers ahead of their official launch next week. But in case you haven’t made up your mind on that next LEGO Star Wars purchase, then sealing the deal on Triple Force Friday is a great way to earn some exclusive freebies and huge discounts.
Here’s a quick reference to this sales event as mentioned by Disney Parks.

So if you have plans of tracking down the latest and hottest Star Wars merchandise at these Disneyland locations then be sure to add the LEGO Stores in these locations to your bucket list. Traditionally, these sales events are quite popular to Star Wars and LEGO fans because of the pretty nice promos that LEGO attaches to it. From October 4 to 6, fans with qualifying LEGO Star Wars purchases of $75 and above will entitle them for a free and exclusive LEGO Star Wars Battle of Endor 20th Anniversary (40362) set.
Other than the new LEGO Star Wars sets that will launch on October 4, LSW fans that are looking for a good bargain will also pleased to know that the majority of currently available LEGO Star Wars sets will be offered at great discounts. We can expect that these discounts will go live as early as midnight of October 3 leading to October 4, and this will be offered across LEGO Stores both in-store and online. Better be quick though, since these discounted LEGO sets can run out pretty quickly. I’ll post some updates as soon as I can once new info comes in so stay tuned.
StarWars.com has announced the official reveal of its Triple Force Friday merchandise this Thursday, September 26. This includes all the tie-in products spanning all of the three major titles that Disney and Lucasfilms will be releasing this year which includes Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker (December 20), Disney+’s The Mandalorian (November 12) and Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (November 15) video game. These Triple Force Friday products, including the leaked 2019 LEGO Star Wars sets, will also be officially revealed this Thursday.
Well actually, some of these 2019 LEGO Star Wars sets were already made available to fans in some locations, and there were numerous reports were these sets are already available for purchase both locally and abroad. In fact, a cursory search over YouTube will reveal a couple of early reviews of these sets made by the LEGO fan community who managed to legally purchase them from retailers ahead of their official global launch this week. In any case, even if you feel its a bit anti-climactic, the embargo on these 2019 LEGO Star Wars sets will inevitably be lifted soon.

After achieving the necessary 10,000 votes needed to move forward, the LEGO Ideas Seinfeld 30th Anniversary product idea by BrentWaller now qualifies for the Third 2019 LEGO Ideas Review Stage. This original LEGO Ideas project proposal celebrates 30 years of the beloved classic 90s comedy TV series, following a similar vein as such that of the now available (but temporarily out of stock) LEGO Ideas Central Perk (21319).
The LEGO Ideas Seinfeld 30th Anniversary product idea won the votes of 10K LEGO fan supporters in just a few months since its entry in the crowd-sourcing platform in June of this year. It’s quite an accomplishment for a LEGO Ideas product idea considering the relatively short amount of time that it took to earn the necessary LEGO fan votes to move on to the Review Stage. This proposed LEGO set comes in at approximately 900 pieces, almost at a similar piece count to that of the LEGO Ideas Central Perk. If you look closely, these sets also somehow share a notable similarity in terms of design, with both of them making good use of a central piece where all the characters interact. It will be really interesting to have these sets displayed side by side if in case the former becomes an official LEGO set. Across social media, LEGO has announced a particular LEGO Star Wars UCS Imperial Star Destroyer Designer Event that is about to start anytime soon. And from the looks of it, those who are near the LEGO Store in Leicester Square will have a head start in being one of the first to try and build this latest mammoth-sized set from LEGO ahead of its official VIP launch on September 18th. What is cool about this event is the fact that you will not just get to meet and greet, and have your own LEGO Star Wars UCS Imperial Star Destroyer (75252) set signed by its designer Henrik Andersen, but you’ll also get a Certificate of Authenticity signifying that what you have right there is the real, genuine LEGO Star Wars thing. Now if you’re planning to get this set, you should be aware that unlike the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millenium Falcon (75192) when it was released back in 2017, the Imperial Star Destroyer (75252) will NOT include a trolley or cardboard wheels to help you carry it around. This is in spite of its almost identical box size and at 12.5 kilos weight. Now I’m not really sure how the LEGO Store in Leicester Square will manage to pack this set, especially for customers who will be requiring additional assistance. I hope that the least that they can do is to offer another protective box covering or cardboard just to ensure that the actual box will not get damaged.
Nevertheless, I’m sure for the most devout LEGO Star Wars fan, this might just be a minor inconvenience. With a signed boxed set from Henrik Andersen plus a Certificate of Authenticity to be proud of, I’m sure carrying 12.5 kilos worth of LEGO pieces will not be that bad. 😉 Lastly, I’m not sure at this point if this Certificate of Authenticity is only limited to those who will buy the set at the LEGO Store in Leicester Square, but I hope and expect that this will be a regular offering across all LEGO brand stores, and even if you will opt to purchase online. Kindly give me a heads-up if you’re planning to get this set on launch date, and give us a tip about your in-store experience.
Disney is already paving the way for the arrival of its ambitious Disney+ streaming service that may prove to be a strong rival against the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime. Details are still scant as of the moment regarding the repertoire of its movies and series, but one thing that we can be sure of is that Star Wars fans will definitely get their money’s worth with all the exclusive Star Wars content that they have access to. This includes the much-awaited spin-off series The Mandalorian and additional content on The Clone Wars. To top it off, subscribers will have exclusive access to previous and upcoming LEGO Star Wars content all compiled in one convenient streaming service. This is at least what an eagle-eyed fan spotted and confirmed when a preview of the new Disney streaming service was released, together with some interesting collection of LEGO Star Wars animated series.
From what we can learn from this preview screenshot, it looks like that all of the LEGO Star Wars animated series featured in the service are those that are currently licensed under Disney. Rights for streaming or releasing other titles such as the LEGO Star Wars The Yoda Chronicles are still perhaps under Cartoon Network and negotiations are still in order for Disney to have full control over this franchise. What is certain is that newer LEGO Star Wars animated series such as LEGO Star Wars All Stars, The Freemaker Adventures, The Resistance Rises, and Droid Tales are now part of Disney+’s initial line-up.
With Disney having almost full control of its Star Wars properties, we can expect a lot of interesting content that will cater to every LEGO Star Wars out there in the galaxy. Disney+ is scheduled to launch on November 12 in the US and Canada, and on November 19 in Australia and New Zealand. Viewers can opt for a monthly subscription fee of $7 USD per month, or $70 USD per year.
