I’m not really that familiar with the LEGO Elves theme, but judging from the positive reception that it received during the New York Toy Fair, it looks like the LEGO Group is keeping tabs with this mini-doll, fantasy-themed sets and has plans to add more to its roster. Last December, we reported on this year’s first batch of LEGO Elves that is now currently available at shop.LEGO.com and Amazon.
This time, the battle between the elves and the forces of darkness continues with the inclusion of two additional sets highlighting additional elemental creatures in the series. Check out their official box art below, with more information which be found at Radio Kontrol’s Italian site.
These two new LEGO Elves sets are expected to hit stores starting early this Summer.

A couple of days ago, images of the next wave of LEGO Ninjago sets made its way online via Amazon France. Apparently, one particular set has been left out by the site which can now be found (yes, you guessed it right) at Italian toy and hobby retailer shop, Radio Kontrol.
The LEGO Ninjago Dieselnaut (70654) is a tank-like build that seems to have come from a LEGO movie version of Mad Max. It comes equipped with a minifig-scaled cockpit, and a platform that can be used to mount additional minifigs. It also has 2 revolving turrets equipped with spring-loaded shooters, a holding area for captured enemies, a crane function and a hidden compartment to stack up weapons. The set also comes with a buildable statue where the Dragon Armor resides.
The set comes with a rather interesting set of minifigures that gives us a hint that there might be some sort of a time skip/travel involved in LEGO Ninjago’s Season 9 storyline. There are a total of 7 minifigures included in this set which includes a teenage version of Master Wu, Jay, Zane, and a host of scary-sounding villains such as the Iron Baron, Heavy Metal, Muzzle, and Skullbreaker.

It’s amazing at times just how many product lines and labels that LEGO has under its brand that they must make new sets for. And yet they’re able to do just that, judging from how many new sets were announced with accompanying previews of the LEGO Unikitty and LEGO City Arctic themes over the weekend alone.
Among those announcements, care of Italy’s Radio Kontrol, were two new LEGO Disney sets of the “Build and Swap” sub-series. Both sets feature long-haired Disney Princess Rapunzel as seen in Disney Channel’s Tangled: The Series. Build and Swap maximizes the modularity of LEGO sets to mix and match with others.
First up is the Rapunzel’s Castle Bedroom set (41156), featuring Rapunzel and her pet chameleon Pascal on their cozy little chamber with a well-appointed bed, a bookshelf with assorted knick-knacks, a painting easel and a nook for Pascal to rest on. Her bookshelf also has a secret compartment to it.
Next we have Rapunzel’s Travelling Caravan (41157), a well-appointed wagon house that’s Rapunzel’s home away from home at Corona. Accompanied by her best friend and bodyguard Cassandra (and borrowing Flynn’s faithful steed Maximus), Rapunzel has all the necessary comforts at hand, including an archery target (and those weird black rocks).
As early as January, we already mentioned that the new LEGO City-themed sets will go north to for one awesome brick-built, icy adventure. Following the recent Mountain Police and Mining themes, the next LEGO City sets will focus on an Arctic adventure, as we can glean from the following box art images as posted once again in Radio Kontrol’s website. I am particularly interested in the new animal molds, particularly on the mammoth bigfig from Arctic Mobile Exploration Base (60195) and the saber-tooth tiger. All in all, I am pretty positive that these new LEGO City Arctic sets will go well with fans once they appear on toy shelves in June.
Wear your warmest clothes and go for an exploration on the LEGO® City 60190 Arctic Mini-snowmobile! Charge your mini-computer, the flashing lights and all the other equipment on the snowmobile and slide on the ice like a snowmobile! What’s in that valley? Turn on the flashing lights so that the explorers at the camp can follow you and see what is hidden under the snow. There is always something exciting to discover in the arctic expeditions of LEGO® City!
Take the camera and go to the excavation site with the LEGO® City 60191 Arctic Exploration Team! The team has found an interesting find and needs to take some pictures before returning it to the base. Charge the snowmobile and drive to the ice block. Call the pilot! We need to handle a bulky cargo with the LEGO® City 60193 Arctic Transport Plane! Climb to the edge of the crevasse and help drive the quadcopter in stationary mode to allow the pilot to lower the hook. Fix it to the ice block and give it the signal to hoist it on board. Return to the ATV base camp at great speed to analyze the rare discovery!
Load the equipment onto the LEGO® City 60194 Arctic snowmobile and set off on your exploratory mission! Collect samples for analysis in the vehicle laboratory as you explore the snowmobile site. Take warm gloves, LEGO® City 60196 Arctic Supply Aircraft will soon be leaving! Save all the necessary equipment in the boxes and load them into the cargo plane before you reach the Arctic Expedition team to work. Put the plane near the excavation site, then jump on the ice scooter and see what the researchers found. Oh, how beautiful a pattern! Use a cutter to remove the ice and then cut it to the plane and attach it before taking it off!
Following the reveal of the LEGO Ninjago Summer sets and the highly anticipated LEGO Ninjago Movie Ninjago City Docks (70657), it looks like we have another mech-type set under the Ninjago theme. Said to be spotted first at LEGOLAND Billund, the LEGO Ninjago Oni Titan (70658) borrows several aesthetic features from the Garma Mecha Man (70613), but with a more balanced look. However, I’m still kind of frustrated about why LEGO still insists on building those knees in such an uninspiring manner.
Anyways, the LEGO Ninjago Oni Titan is expected to be a part of the summer wave of sets that represents the upcoming Season 9 of the TV series which has dragons as one of its central themes. We don’t have a piece count yet, but based on its size in proportion to the four minifigures included with it, the build seems to stand around the same height as that of Garma Mecha Man, but relatively smaller as compared to the Fire Mech (70615).
Save for the legs and knees, the upper part of the build is pretty impressive. I like how intimidating the face of the Oni Titan looks, especially its purplish, sinister-looking eyes. Its dark bluish-gray colors also give it a nefarious feel, heightened by its overbearing katana and oversized knuckles.
Though the LEGO Ninjago Oni Titan (70658) was first spotted at LEGOLAND Billund, rumor has it that it will be a Walmart exclusive starting in May when the rest of the theme’s summer wave of sets are released. Coming in hot from the latest reveal of the LEGO Unikitty Collectible Figures Series 1 (41775) from Italian retailer Radio Kontrol, we now have our first images of the LEGO Unikitty sets all slated to be released in earlier this summer. There are currently five sets to expect from this LEGO Movie offshoot theme, with were received with mixed reactions from LEGO fans. Love them or hate them, they are without a doubt one of the most vibrant and colorful themes that LEGO has come up with.

Boy, oh boy! This weekend is jam-packed with a ton of reveals from LEGO that it’s kind of hard to focus where to begin. Better start the ball rolling, and let’s begin with the multifaceted (read: bipolar?), brick-built kitty sensation from the highly successful LEGO Movie.
Now that she has her own TV show, LEGO opted to push through a dedicated theme for her and the rest of her gang. We already reported back in January during the Nuremberg Toy Fair that the sensational Unikitty will be having her own line of collectible figures, or more specifically LEGO Unikitty Collectible Figure series (41775). For one, this is definitely not your typical CMF series due to the very feature of Unikitty herself being made roughly of 14, mostly printed, standard LEGO pieces set on a cloud shape baseplate.
Now thanks to Italian toy and hobby store, Radio Kontrol, we no longer need to guess how this Unikitty collectible figure series will turn out. Now if you’re looking forward to this one, then a word of caution: it is virtually impossible for you to feel your way through most of the characters in this series because as you can see, each blind bag basically has the same kind of pieces save for their own unique printings. It seems that there are still plenty of LEGO themed books to watch out for this second half of the year. Other than the impressive collection offered by DK that comes with exclusive, free LEGO sets and minifigures, children’s book publisher, Scholastic, also has something to offer worth looking into.
It may not really fall under that ‘exclusive’ category such as those offered by DK, but still, any free LEGO is something worth catching. Scholastic’s LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes The Official Justice League Training Manual is slated to be released on July 31 retailing for $12.99, while the LEGO Star Wars The Official Force Training Manual is due to be out on September 25 selling for $11.05. Both are now listed for pre-order at Amazon so better take advantage of their relatively low price as it is currently available.
Amazon France is being hailed as a champ in LEGO circles right now. They’ve already pulled a hat trick with their advance reveals yesterday and early today of new summer 2018 set reveals for no less than three of LEGO’s own product lines: LEGO Creator, LEGO Ninjago and LEGO Friends.
Now, Amazon France is going 4 for 4 with another wave of 2018 official LEGO set reveals, and this time it’s for one of their major licensed franchise, LEGO DC Comics. It also doesn’t take a genius to guess that these two new sets feature the Dark Knight himself: Batman.
The two Batman-themed summer releases for LEGO DC Comics are Attack of the Talons (76110) and Brother Eye Takedown (76111). Both are based on the Dark Knight’s struggles with two fairly recent threats from his comic-book rogues’ gallery: the Talons of the Court of Owls and the Brother Eye satellite.
Attack of the Talons (76110) sees LEGO Batman take to the streets on his Bat-Tricycle, putting the hurt on the Talon assassins of Gotham City’s Court of Owls secret society with the help of his canine crime-fighting partner Ace the Bat-Hound. The Talons are heavily armed but so is Batman.
Next on the list is Brother Eye Takedown (76111) where the Dark Knight faces his very own Skynet, Brother Eye: an AI over-mind reverse-engineered from Superman foe Brainiac (13) in a killer-sat body commanding the meta-human-hunting OMAC units. Batman has a new Bat-plane for the mission, with Bat-woman joining in.
Aside from these two sets, there’s also the App-Controlled Batmobile (76112) first mentioned at the Nuremberg Toy Fair earlier this year. There’s no photos for this one yet though, so for now, enjoy the first peek of its immediate predecessors which are now listed on Amazon France. Kudos to them.
