Fans of the LEGO Nexo Knights theme are in for an early treat. We already know that LEGO has slated 6 sets to debut anytime soon, as part of the theme’s Season 5 offering, 2 of which were revealed already – first with Axl’s Rolling Arsenal (72006) featured in an issue of LEGO Life Magazine, and the Berserker Bomber (72003) on the page of the December LEGO Store Calendar.
This time around, Toys R Us has officially released our initial set of official images of 2018’s first LEGO Nexo Knights set, the Berserker Bomber (72003). This set comes in at 369 pieces and is expected to retail for $29.99. Check out the images below, together with its product description.
Prepare for high-flying action with the Berserker Bomber, featuring a detachable winged eye, dual 6-stud tech infection shooters and movable wings, plus a detachable Vyro Suit for the MechaByter. Attach the jet pack to Macy and send Berserker flying back to Monstrox! This popular kids toy includes 2 minifigures, a MechaByter figure and 2 scannable shields.
Includes 2 minifigures: Macy and Berserker, plus a MechaByter figure.
Weapons include Macy’s Mace, Berserker’s cleaver and the MechaByter’s spear.
Place the MechaByter in the Vyro Suit, attach it to the base of the Berserker Bomber, and fly into battle.
Scan shields for the NEXO Power Orbital Strike and Merlok Power The Mace of Merlok, and power up in the LEGO(R) Nexo Knights(TM) game!.
Berserker Bomber measures over 3 inch (8 centimeter) high, 9 inch (24 centimeter) long and 8 inch (22 centimeter) wide.
The heroes of Knighton are up against a new foe in the form of a computer-like virus. As it seems, their newest enemy also has the tech to match the heroes’ arsenals, and this particular Berserker Bomber is up to the task. The ship’s design is indicative of the level of tech that this latest enemy has under its belt, with the Berserker Bomber having a design that will put a smile on Batman’s face.
The Berserker Bomber (72003) is slated to be available at LEGO stores on November 25 onwards, so we can expect to see the remaining LEGO Nexo Knights sets from this wave any time soon. Stay tuned here at the Brick Show for more LEGO news and updates.
Star Wars Episode VII: The Last Jedi is coming to cinemas on December 15, the second chapter of the “Sequel Trilogy” for the sprawling space opera franchise by Lucasfilm under Disney. The final chapter, Episode IX, will not be until 2019, with a Han Solo prequel slated for 2018.
Even as these films are being churned out, merchandise is following in their wake, such as LEGO Star Wars’ expansive variety of models and minifigures in stores. Well, they’re about to increase further.
When Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy hinted at more Star Wars movies days earlier, fans assumed they would be in the vein of 2016’s Rogue One or next year’s Solo. But it turns out that they’re actually formulating another film trilogy with the help of Last Jedi director Rian Johnson.
This new trilogy will break the mold by focusing on entirely new characters, unlike Episodes I-IX, which always focused on a member of the Skywalker family. Johnson is expected to write and direct the first film of this planned trilogy, and be the producer on the other two. Here’s the announcement as shared over at the Star Wars Show.
In addition to this reveal, Disney CEO Bob Iger also made noise when he announced the development of a live-action Star Wars TV series for 2019. This is said to be a re-pitch of an earlier live-action series proposal by Lucasfilm long before Disney’s acquisition. The planned Star Wars: Underground was never produced due to impossible budget constraints, but might be possible now with the House of Mouse. Check out this visual from the original Underground pitch. It could finally be realized, and it will be on streaming.
All these developments could easily mean that more LEGO Star Wars sets may be in the works. It’ll be quite the wait, but LEGO Star Wars fans sure knows its worth it.
There’s only a week left now before LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 from Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment and Traveller’s Tales makes its highly-anticipated grand entrance across the “Big Four” game consoles and platforms. Once again, there will be plenty of excitement and funny shenanigans as minifigure versions of the most popular heroes and villains of Marvel Comics embark on a brand-new action-adventure.
Now, owing to the format of past LEGO Marvel games, there are bound to be oodles of gameplay trophies to be earned in LMSH2 for online bragging rights and stuff. Thanks to some diligent work, achievements for the PS4 version of the game have been discovered and shared.
PSN Profiles has done marvelous work in tracking down ad documenting all trophies that can be earned in the Sony PlayStation 4 version of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2. Thus far, the PS4 take has about 46 trophies in total, ranked in four classes from Bronze to Platinum.
Some trophies are rather quickly earned through normal gameplay while others might require some hunting and collecting. Compared to the first LMSH, the requirements don’t seem to be altogether intimidating, which is either a big bonus or a letdown, depending on player.
Here’s a quick rundown of the achievements: there are 37 Bronze trophies, 4 in silver, 4 gold ones, and one colored in platinum. If you haven’t guess, the platinum trophy is the “collect all the others” achievement, and PSN Profiles considers it “Ultra Rare.” Here’s some of the trophies to watch out for once you have your hands on the game. For the rest of the trophies, be sure to visit PSN Profiles’ web page. Be warned though – these trophies may pose a potential spoiler for the game so click with care.
As for the plot, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 takes place 4 years after its predecessor, and the heroes and villains of the LEGO Marvel Universe find themselves taking sides in the time-space-shattering plans of Kang the Conqueror. It also references the recently-premiered Thor: Ragnarok. The game comes out on November 14 for Windows PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Here again is the PS4 Trophy List, not listed here to avoid spoilers.
It’s sure to be awe-inspiring whenever a LEGO builder shows off his custom build of a structure that reaches monumental proportions. It could be that of a real historical edifice like the Duomo of Florence. Or it could be a scale version of something symbolic, like a wind turbine built by The LEGO Company itself to celebrate its renewable energy policy’s early completion.
Then there are those set builds that exist only in fiction, from licensed properties like the World of WarcraftMMORPG from Blizzard Entertainment. Builder Mark Erickson for instance, replicated a key location from the game, Theramore Castle.
Erickson, known as Mark of Falworthon Flickr, shared his brick-built replica of the island citadel of Theramore, home of a faction of Human Alliance refugees from Lordaeron.
As World of Warcraft lore tells it, Theramore was initially established as a sanctuary and trading port which eventually expanded into a military fortress – no thanks to the war between the Alliance and the Orcish Horde Theramore would later be destroyed by the Blood Elves of the Horde.
Mark has a keen eye for detail, and has managed to capture each key building in Theramore with uncanny accuracy. He ended up using 55,000 LEGO bricks set upon a mat area measuring 80 x 80 inches. This places his Theramore model in between Giancinto Consiglio’s scale Duomo (20,000 bricks) and LEGO’s own wind turbine (146,000 bricks, a Guinness World Record too).
For the curious, the building-block franchise license for Blizzard’s World of Warcraft has been held by Mega Bloks, so a custom build is the best alternative with LEGO. Congratulations to Mark for this superb MOC.
As any fan of LEGO knows, the global brand has already grown far beyond toys for decades now. They are just as much a formidable multimedia presence as anything else, with TV shows (animated series on Cartoon Network for instance) and also feature films with Warner Bros.
They also have published a number of books, both novels and illustrated guides and encyclopedias exploring their various set and minifigure themes. These latter books are often huge and hardbound, which usually means a higher price than paperbacks. But over in the UK, discount bookseller Book People has an offer for LEGO bookworms.
Starting from Wednesday, November 8, until Thursday, November 9, Book People is having a flash sale on their selection of handpicked LEGO books from various publishers. During these two days they will be selling at knockdown affordable bargain prices that would make discount hunting bibliophiles drool.
This is no exaggeration. The Ultimate LEGO Star Wars hardback (Dorling Kindersley Ltd.) is 320 pages of minifigure characters and creatures, vehicles, equipment and locations as rendered by LEGO. Even the sweet UCS Millennium Falcon set (75192) is depicted there. Usually priced at £69.90 in the UK, Book People is offering it for £13.00. Awesome!
The bargains don’t end there. UK LEGO fans can also avail of the following official books:
The LEGO Visual History, RRP £25.00, now £9.00
Ultimate LEGO Star Wars, RRP £30.00, now £8.00
LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: Build Your Own Adventure, RRP £17.99, now £8.00
LEGO Nexo Knights: Build Your Own Adventure, RRP £17.99, now £8.00
LEGO Everything You Ever Need to Know, RRP £17.99, now £5.00
They would make excellent companion gifts with the latest LEGO sets and minifigure collections coming out on British markets for the Holidays. If you’re in the UK, better order your choice books now.
We’re just less than a month away before Star Wars Episode VIII – The Last Jedi debuts in theaters worldwide, and with the first wave of LEGO Star Wars The Last Jedi sets out already, there is still one nagging question in every LEGO Star Wars fan: will old man Luke Skywalker ever make an appearance in any particular LEGO Star Wars TLJ set?
We toyed with the idea when Tyler came up with his version of a LEGO Star Wars Rey’s Training MOC a couple of months ago, where we saw how the current Luke may have been rendered as a LEGO minifigure. Additionally, LEGO gave a hint when it unveiled a version of the elder Skywalker on its Russian website, as you can see from the image below.
This time, LEGO dropped another hint on how we can have Luke if he is eventually included in future TLJ sets, and the spill came from an unlikely source. Eurobricks member JACKATTACKS shared an image of his most recent LEGO Life Magazine that he received from the mail. Previously known as the LEGO Club Magazine, the subscription service was recently rebranded as LEGO Life to coincide with its corresponding LEGO Life app. JACKATTACKS shared the front cover over at Eurobricks as you can see from this image.
The latest issue of the LEGO Life Magazine is understandably dedicated to Star Wars Episode VIII, and as the cover makes it clear, Luke Skywalker will certainly make his presence felt in LEGO form. As you may have noticed, this latest rendition of Luke is far different from his minifig version that first appeared on LEGO’s Russian site. I like how Luke has a sullen, more serious look accentuated by his hood.
I know this cover doesn’t say much about the second wave of LEGO TLJ sets which is expected to be available during the first quarter of 2018 (with some said to be released before this year ends), but considering LEGO’s seemingly deliberate concealment of Luke in TLJ, fans such as myself can’t help but wonder what LEGO is trying to pull out. Is it to steadily build the hype over these LEGO tie-ins so as to hopefully increase sales, or they just want to build the mystery behind Luke’s character, we’re not really sure at this time.
We just have to wait and see. So what do you think brick fans? What is your best idea of Luke’s minifigure in TLJ? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
LEGO bricks have long been a simple, quickly acquirable and popular medium of custom model construction. A lot of monumental ideals – both figuratively and literally – have been realized through the use of sometimes thousands upon thousands of LEGO pieces to erect surprising accurate scale models of buildings over the years.
One recent example of this art is the LEGO reproduction of the Duomo cathedral in Florence, Italy. The LEGO Group itself is an old hand at these large-scale constructions. In fact, one of their builds which currently holds a Guinness World record, will soon be put up for display in Brighton, UK.
This is the all-LEGO wind turbine, one built by LEGO back in May as both an attempt at the Guinness Book of World Records, and a celebration of the company’s early achievement of their target use of 100% renewable energy. LEGO had invested in wind farms in Germany and the UK, as well as solar panels in China, to power their factories and offices in those respective countries.
Originally not slated to be completed until 2020, the early completion of their renewable energy use target spurred The LEGO Group to have a wind turbine built with LEGO bricks at Liverpool.
Said wind turbine, constructed by LEGO Certified Pros Duncan Titmarsh, Georg Schmitt and Balázs Dóczy, used up 146,000 LEGO blocks (the Duomo model only had 20,000), and is now recognized by Guinness as the largest wind turbine made out of LEGOs.
After some time on display at Liverpool (close to the wind farm invested on by LEGO), the turbine will be moved from its original site (depicted in our pictures) to the seaside resort of Brighton in East Sussex County. For those in the area, and tourists too, they will be able to see the LEGO wind turbine at its new location in Park Square, ate Brighton Marina.

As it seems, fans can have the chance of bringing this home, but with a catch – only if you purchase the absurdly fun LEGO Batman Movie The Joker Manor (70922) starting November 24, Brick Friday.
If you recall, LEGO announced the Joker Manor (70922) in a quite subtle manner, with almost everyone being caught by surprise. So having this minifigure polybag promo bundled with this set is another welcome surprise for LEGO Batman fans.

When a company has such a rich and vibrant history behind it, they can certainly put that to good use by inviting their loyal fans and followers to tour that history with them.
That’s pretty much the main deal with The LEGO Company and their LEGO Inside Tour, a wondrous excursion that the company describes as a once-in-a-lifetime experience. They’ve got several tour schedules set up for next year, and registration is open.
Yes, there’s already a LEGO Live event happening in New York in February next year, but for longtime and dedicated LEGO fans with some money saved up, the LEGO InsideTour 2018 could stand to be another pinnacle of their total lifetime experience with LEGO and their products.
Throughout the following year, The LEGO Group will be guiding five groups of about 80 or so attendees at a time through some of the most memorable locations in the company’s long history as one of the world’s major toy brands.
It all takes place in LEGO’s home, the town of Billund in Denmark, and will include tours of the house of LEGO founder Ole Kirk Kristiansen, exhibits of original 1930s LEGO sets and models, and an excursion through a modern factory with chances to meet personally meet LEGO personnel and set designers. Each tour session lasts 3 days, so groups will be staying at Billund’s Hotel LEGOLAND in between company visits.
At the end of the tour, participants will receive an exclusively numbered set produced specifically as a gift for the LEGO Inside Tour, and in close collaboration with Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen. This year, tour participants received the LEGO House Tree of Creativity (4000024), a shout-out to the grandiosity of the actual 15-meter, brick-built Tree of Creativity nestled right in the middle of LEGO Square.
2017’s LEGO Inside Tour Exclusive Gift Set – The Tree Of Creativity (4000024)
Here are the five LEGO Inside Tour schedules throughout next year, for your reference:
May 23-25
May 30-June 1
June 13-15
September 12-14
September 19-21
Note however, that the registration period to join one of these tour groups is really short. It starts November 6 2017 at 10 am until Friday November 10 2017 at 10 am. All dates and times are at Continental Europe Time.
Do note that participants will need to arrange their own travel to Billund, as the LEGO Inside Tour only kicks off from the starting point at Hotel LEGOLAND, not far from the town’s international airport. Visit LEGO.com for more information, and then sign up for registration here.
