Here’s another first. The now-deleted Japanese online LEGO catalog has shown that we can expect the arrival of the LEGO Marvel Advent Calendar 2021 (76196) just in time for the holidays. It seems that the said catalog was released a bit too early, but not without the LEGO fan community taking notice right away.
The LEGO Advent Calendar series usually feature themes from LEGO City, Friends, Harry Potter, and Star Wars. The inclusion of another licensed theme for this holiday surprise set is a welcomed development. And looking at its respective catalog page suggests that we can expect holiday minifigure versions of Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Thor. We can also expect Black Widow and Thanos to join the festivities, plus micro build versions of the Avengers’ Quinjet, Tony Stark’s robot lab assistant Dum-E, and a cute Iron Snowman. I assume that this is just a sampling of the brick surprises included in the LEGO Marvel Advent Calendar 2021, and we just have to wait and see for its official listing over at LEGO Shop@Home.
The LEGO Store Calendar for March 2021 has already been released, and if you recall, one of the promotional items that we can expect in the second half of this month is the LEGO Easter Bunny’s Carrot House (40449). Though the image that we have previously was less than desirable, we now have a few official images where we can see the finer details of this seasonal set.
To be precise, you can expect to have this limited-edition LEGO Easter Bunny’s Carrot House added to your cart when your next single-receipt LEGO purchase reaches $60 or more. Valued at $12.99, this promotional gift-with-purchase (GWP) set will be available starting March 15 to April 5 or until supplies last.
The build features a carrot-inspired house and a minibuild of a gray Easter bunny. Despite being relatively small, the carrot house is packed with details (though made up of stickers I think) in its interiors, with several Easter eggs adorning its garden. As an added treat, LEGO designers placed a hidden easter egg on top of the carrot house’s door for a bit of an Easter egg hunt surprise.
And in case you missed it, there is another promotional item that I think will be quite popular among LEGO collectors. In celebration of International Woman’s Day next week, LEGO will be offering another promo in the form of the LEGO Amelia Earhart Tribute (40450). This promotional freebie will be up from March 6 to 14 or while supplies last. Considering the details on this set and the first-ever Amelia Earhart minifigure that goes with it, you can expect that this GWP item will be quite popular among LEGO fans.

After its partial, unofficial reveal last week, LEGO has now officially listed one of its first seasonal sets for 2021. Coming in at 245 pieces, the LEGO Valentine’s Brown Bear (40462) is expected to arrive exclusively in your nearest LEGO brand store starting January 1st, 2021. It will retail for $14.99, within the same price range as its animal BrickHeadz contemporaries.

A few days ago, I reported on a couple of upcoming LEGO Creator sets that can certainly add that brick-inspired touch to any special occasion. The images that I initially shared were not that ideal, but now thanks to LEGO Shop@Home, we can now have a better look at what the LEGO Creator Roses (40460) and Tulips (40461) have to offer.
Whether you intend them to be a standalone gift, or as a sort of expansion set to the upcoming LEGO Creator Expert Botanical Collection Flower Bouquet (10280), these brick-built roses and tulips certainly look lovely. After giving us a glimpse of the first wave of LEGO Seasonal sets for 2021, Brickset has also shared a trio of LEGO BrickHeadz 2021 sets that we can expect in the first quarter of 2021. Similarly, LEGO made the reveal via its declaration of conformity as part of its legal process of declaring the safety of their products. The images below are also not at par with the high-res ones that we usually include in our posts, but they’re enough to give us an idea of what we can anticipate from them.
Like the LEGO Seasonal Year of the Ox (40417), this first LEGO BrickHeadz 2021 set celebrates the rich tradition and celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year. The LEGO BrickHeadz Chinese New Year Pandas (40466) features three cute, brick-built pandas: two baby pandas and one adult panda, each with a distinct look and personality of its own. These adorable brick creatures are accentuated by a decorative tree with lanterns that are very much the same as what we can see from LEGO’s Chinese Spring Lantern Festival sets.
Further down the road, we have a couple of BrickHeadz sets added to its roster of animals and pet-inspired builds. The LEGO BrickHeadz German Shepherd (40440) and Shorthair Cats (40441) seem to be a part of a new Pets subtheme that focuses on our buddies at home. Similar to the New Year Pandas, each of these LEGO BrickHeadz Pets feature two builds- that of a bigger, adult pet and a smaller, younger one.
The New Year Pandas are expected to retail for $19.99, while the LEGO BrickHeadz Pets may be offered within the usual $9.99 price range. They’re also expected to be available in January 2021 so be sure to keep an eye on them over at LEGO Shop@Home. I’ll update this post once better images are available, but for now, check these out.
It looks like LEGO has started rolling out some of its LEGO Seasonal 2021 sets, and thanks to Brickset, we can now know what to expect from these buildable collectibles. These images may not be as crisp as the ones we usually share with you, but they give us a good look at what we can anticipate from them. These images are basically pooled together by Brickset which came from LEGO’s usual legal certification process.
First off, in continuation of its Lunar New Year commemorative sets, we have next year’s LEGO Seasonal Year of Ox set. This is the 8th set under this commemorative series, following 2020’s LEGO Seasonal Year of the Rat (40355). These particular seasonal sets are usually distributed as gift-with-purchase freebies during the latter part of January.
Moving forward, we have the usual seasonal sets that celebrate the love month of February. The LEGO Seasonal Valentine’s Bear is all poised to be a cute gift during next year’s Valentine’s season, featuring a buildable bear in a picnic park vignette flanked with a trio of brick-built heart ballons. This animal build concept is somewhat reminiscent of LEGO’s earlier releases particularly 2016’s LEGO Seasonal Valentine’s Cupid Dog (40201).
And to cap off your Heart’s Day celebration, LEGO is throwing in a pair of buildable flowers that are perfect expansion sets of sorts to LEGO’s upcoming LEGO Creator Expert Botanical Collection. I love how the roses turned out, while the buildable tulips will also be a great addition to a LEGO-inspired bouquet.
We have no additional info about these sets as of the moment, but we can expect them to be available during the 2nd half of January at the most. We’re just counting the days before we once more share the spirit of the holidays. As a fan of seasonal brick-built vignettes such as 2018’s LEGO Christmas Gift Box (40292), I love the concept of these seemingly 2-in-1 builds that also doubles as a popular holiday symbol. The build itself depicts the author’s famous novel A Christmas Carol and features three minifigures: Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchet, and Ebenezer Scrooge. As Brickset’s review has pointed out, it seems that LEGO has taken an extra mile in offering these minifigures in a promotional item. We have a new printed minifig face used for Mr. Scrooge, while the printed torso used for Bob is a relatively new one. Being a freebie as it is, and though as much as I would prefer that printed parts were used for the book’s title and decorations, I guess I have no qualms over the set’s abundance of stickers.
