LEGO Introduces its First LEGO Minecraft Steve and Creeper (30393) Polybag

LEGO Minecraft is here to stay this 2019! And other than the introduction of new, larger buildable figures of Steve, Alex, and a Minecraft Skeleton, LEGO now introduces its very first LEGO Minecraft polybag with the Steve and Creeper (30393) polybag set. This particular polybag adds to the roster of other sets due to be released this year – particularly those coming from the LEGO City, LEGO Movie 2, and LEGO Marvel themes – whose building instructions were found online by Brickset.

This is a very welcomed gesture from LEGO since the Minecraft theme has been sorely lacking from polybags since its introduction 6 years ago. The LEGO Minecraft Steve and Creeper (30393) polybag features the typical Steve with a sword accessory, and a Creeper minifig, including a buildable TNT box. This simple build also comes with a play feature that allows builders to ‘launch’ the TNT by pushing a lever connected to a Technic pin. Like any other polybag set, this is also a great opportunity to have these two LEGO Minecraft minifigures added to your collection without breaking the bank. For your reference, here are the building instructions for this polybag.

Details are scant though as of this posting, regarding the availability of the LEGO Minecraft Steve and Creeper (30393) polybag, and my guess is that it may be a part of an upcoming promotional at LEGO stores and LEGO Shop@HOme. LEGO Marvel Superheroes Spider-Man’s Mini Spider Crawler (30451) Polybag Revealed

It looks like the wave of new 2019 polybags is not yet over. Hot off the heels of the new LEGO City and LEGO Movie 2 polybags, comes another mini build straight from the Spiderverse. The building instructions for the LEGO Marvel Superheroes Spider-Man’s Mini Spider Crawler (30451) can now be found online via LEGO’s Customer Service webpage. As you may have noticed, it is a smaller replica of the larger Spider-Man’s Spider Crawler (76114) set. This Mini Spider Crawler (30451) polybag also comes as our first polybag in 2019 under the new Spider-Man subtheme.

Coming in at more than 70 pieces, this new for 2019 LEGO Marvel Superheroes polybag features the newly designed Spider-Man minifigure (a cost-effective way to catch Spidey’s new minifig, by the way), with a much smaller arachnid build. 3 or 4 smaller builds of this Mini Spider Crawler (30451) goes perfectly well with its larger counterpart if you wish to create a brood of fearsome spider mech. There seem to be no special parts included in this polybag, save for Spidey’s minifig. LEGO City Popcorn Cart (30364) Polybag Discovered

The LEGO Customer Service portal has uploaded another set of building instructions that you might find interesting. The building instructions to create the new LEGO City Popcorn Cart (30364) polybag can now be found online. This newest small and fun build is the third polybag set included in the new for 2019 line-up of LEGO city polybags following the Fire ATV (30361) and Sky Police Jetpack (30362)

The LEGO City Popcorn Cart (30364) comes in approximately 40 pieces and includes a popcorn vending guy minifigure, a popcorn cart that comes with a ‘popping’ popcorn play feature and a nicely printed 1×1 brick element for the popcorn box. I’m not really sure, but I think the 1×1 printed brick is new for this one, and the excellent use of the rare cartwheels similar to that to the Hot Dog Stand (30356) is a welcome bonus for collectors and builders. The design of Popcorn Cart also reminds me of some of the arcade builds offered at our official storefront, the Brick Show Shop, with some modifications of course. LEGO has once again updated its servers to include not just a ton of images, but also a great deal of building instructions for new, LEGO Movie 2 polybags. If you recall, we’ve already reported some of these polybags beginning with the very first one that was spotted in the wild, the Mini Master-Building MetalBeard (30528) polybag. Stumbled upon by Brickset via LEGO Customer Service, we can now have the chance to recreate these fun, little builds ahead of the film’s debut in cinemas next month. The LEGO Movie 2 Promotes #BuildToGive Just In Time for the Holidays

As we begin the Christmas holidays, the cast of The LEGO Movie 2 has now joined LEGO’s #BuildToGive campaign for this year. As announced in the November LEGO Store Calendar, LEGO’s Build To Give charity drive seeks to give 500,000 children in need worldwide with their very own LEGO gift this holiday season. The campaign is gaining more and more supporters since its launch earlier this month as shown by the numerous uploads by fans over at LEGO’s Build to Give website. But it’s not only fans who are helping LEGO reach this 500K goal, but Emmet, Lucy, Benny and the rest of The LEGO Movie 2 cast is also pitching in their support for #BuildToGive in this latest promotional video.

This short video features already known The LEGO Movie 2 characters such as Emmet, Lucy, Rex and his dino assistant, Benny, MetalBeard, and Unikitty. Even the enigmatic Sweet Mayhem couldn’t resist joining in and spreading the love.

If you wish to help in sharing some brick-building fun to needy kids around the globe, then simply download the instructions available at the LEGO #BuildToGive website, create your own holiday ornament, snap an image of your creation and share it via social media with the caption #BuildToGive.

These easy-to-follow instructions are made with common LEGO bricks and pieces that you may already have at home. And of course, you’re not limited with these builds and you’re always free to create your own personalized Christmas ornament. Just be sure to add #BuildToGive so a child in need of play can benefit from it. Alternately, you can also visit your nearby LEGO Store and inquire on how to participate in this campaign.

The #BuildToGive charity campaign is part of LEGO’s Community Engagement Program, while The LEGO Movie 2 is slated to land on theaters in the US on February 8, 2019.

They might be ending soon, but the appeal of the LEGO BrickHeadz theme is still very much alive and kicking, especially with this original creation from LEGO fan builder stormythos. To celebrate the most ghoulishly fun day of the year, stormythos came up with his own BrickHeadz version of a Brick-O’-Lantern which will make Freddy and Jason blush with envy. These two horror icons by the way, were also nicely rendered in LEGO BrickHeadz form by stormythos, so you may want to check his Instagram account and hit that like button.

If you want a quick and worry-free building experience in making this custom LEGO BrickHeadz Brick-O’-Lantern, then you’ll be pleased to know that all the parts needed to build this MOC can be found in LEGO BrickHeadz Go Brick Me (41597). If you want to get the exact same pieces that stormythos used, then getting the Go Brick Me set is the sure way to go. It is still available at LEGO Shop@Home and at your nearest LEGO Store, and now might be the best time to get it since you can still qualify for Double VIP points which will be ending today. However, if you already have the existing pieces then all you have to do is to get those hands busy.

Build Your Own Mini LEGO Star Wars Imperial AT-Hauler (30498)

This piece of news has been floating around for quite some time already, and in case you missed this, or more specifically the retailer exclusive LEGO Star Wars Imperial AT-Hauler (30498) polybag, then you still have this chance of building one of your own. This particular polybag comes as the second polybag offering belonging under the LEGO Star Wars Solo subtheme following the likes of the similarly packaged Imperial TIE Fighter (30381). However this mini version of the Imperial AT-Hauler seems to be a Walmart exclusive in the US and is now currently out of stock via Walmart’s website.

The LEGO Star Wars Imperial AT-Hauler (30498) comes in at 49 pieces and is relatively easy to build, thanks to the polybag’s building instruction now uploaded at the LEGO customer service portal. This mini version of the Imperial AT-Hauler comes with the usual LEGO pieces that you may already have at home save perhaps for the reddish brown Technic rotor 2 blades and the 1×2 plates with horizontal snap. Though the LEGO Star Wars Imperial AT-Hauler (30498) polybag is now out of stock and nowhere to be found at other major online retailer portals, there has been some rumor circulating that this polybag might turn out to be the next LEGO Star Wars promotional in relation to the slated release of the LEGO Star Wars Betrayal at Cloud City (75222) on September 13. This is speculative as of the moment but it will be nice if LEGO can offer this directly to consumers both in-store and online. Being a fan of these LEGO polybags, I’m really looking forward to seeing this in my local LEGO store and to add this to my polybag collection. For now, let me see if I can build this thing.
