Yesterday, I reported on two of the four waves of limited edition, LEGO TRU Bricktober minifigures that the retail giant will exclusively release this year. It was further revealed that these LEGO TRU Bricktober minifigure sets will be based on the LEGO Batman Movie (5004939) and LEGO City Jungle Exploration (5004940) themes, and now, thanks to the efforts of the Brick Samuraiwho managed to snap a photo of TRU’s promotional LEGO poster in a local store in Austria, we have an idea on what the two remaining sets are. Take a look at the image below.
As we can see from this TRU poster, the third revealed set seems to have been iterations of previously released LEGO collectible minifigures such as the Boxer from Series 5, the Hippie from Series 7, the normal human form of the Zombie Cheerleader of the Monster Minifigures Series 14, and the Sailor from Series 4. Based on this image grab, it seems that this set is listed as the 4th Bricktober minifigure set to be released within the month of the promotional.
The last (and ironically the first to be slated for release during the first week of Bricktober) is based on LEGO Ninjago Masters of Spinjutzu. Though we previously predicted that this will be lifted from the LEGO Ninjago Movie theme, the image below shows that this Bricktober set will be based on the TV series instead. Some of these minifigures are also new versions of the existing ones that we already have, including a White Nindroid (as seen in several Ninjago sets), a rather different version of Krux from Season 7 (Hands of Time), Neuro from the Season 4, and the Golden Ninja which is said to be the digital version of Golden Techno Kai. Though I’m expecting that this set will be from The LEGO Ninjago Movie, I’m not that all disappointed in this collection of Ninjago minifigs that LEGO has included in this TRU Bricktober collection. I appreciate how LEGO would tie-in these releases to correspond with their upcoming shows and programs.
Although the Austrian TRU poster indicates a release date of September for these minifigures, Bricktober in the US usually happens in October. So it seems that our European friends will certainly have an early share of these latest minifigure craze. Here’s the list or particular order of releases based on what we know from their boxes.
LEGO Ninjago Toys R Us Bricktober 2017 (5004938) – Week 1
LEGO Batman Movie Toys R Us Bricktober 2017 Minifigures (5004939) – Week 2
LEGO City Jungle Exploration Toys R Us Bricktober 2017 Minifigures (5004940) – Week 3
LEGO Toys R Us Bricktober 2017 Collectible Minifigures (5004941) – Week 4
Frankly, this year’s selection of Toys R Us Bricktober minifigures is far better than the bland selections that LEGO and TRU released last year, which is pretty generic. The LEGO Batman Movie series from this wave will certainly be on the top of my list, followed by the reboot of the Collectible Minifigures. How about you, brick fan, which is your personal favorite among these? Let us know in the comments below.
The LEGO Store October Calendar has been released, and taking the spotlight is this year’s highly celebrated, and largest LEGO set of all time. Starting October 1, the LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon (75192) will be available to the general public both at LEGO Stores and shop.LEGO.com. This and much more will be happening throughout the month of October so let’s check it out.
October 1: Own the largest LEGO set ever produced – The LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192)!
VIP members may have an early start beginning September 14, but the rest of the world and legions of LEGO Star Wars fans may now have the chance to have their own LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium (75192). Retailing at $800, the largest LEGO set to date comes in at 7,541 pieces and comes in two modes of play features: you can either play out classic LEGO Star Wars adventures with Han, Leia, Chewbacca and C-3PO, or enter the world of Episode VII and VIII with older Han, Rey, Finn and BB-8!
September 22 – October 8: Free The LEGO Ninjago Movie Lloyd (30609) minifigure polybag with a purchase of $50 or more, while supplies last.
First discovered on eBay a few weeks ago, this free exclusive minifigure comes with a unique printed torso, and a new tasseled sword piece.
October 1-31: Free LEGO Friends Keepsake Box (40266) with a LEGO Friends purchase of $25 or more, while supplies last.
The LEGO Friends Keepsake or Storage Box (40266) comes in at 105 pieces and actually functions as its name suggests. It sports two compartments: a covered, top compartment and a sliding drawer in front. It’s a pretty neat and functional build if I should say so, and comes at a relatively lower price point compared to other promotionals.
October 3-4: Free VIP Monthly Mini Model Build which is a Robot (40248)
To reserve your spot, simply register for the October MMB by visiting shop.LEGO.com/Minibuild-Registration starting September 15. The LEGO MMB is meant for children ages 6 to 14, and must be completely built in store.
October 10-25: VIP members get a Free exclusive VIP Set (40178) with a purchase of $125 or more, while supplies last. Also during this time, you get Double VIP points on all items.
If you recall, we first spotted this exclusive VIP set as a promotional in LEGO Store Shanghai in China back in July. It was given away then to all VIP customers with a minimum single receipt purchase worth 399 CNY and above. Thankfully, this dragon-inspired build is now available to all LEGO VIP members in the US for a minimum purchase of $125 worth of LEGO products. It seems to be a pretty nice set, especially with regards to the creative rendition of the Pick A-Brick Wall, LEGO box sets (though it uses stickers), and the collectible LEGO Store employee minifigure. As an added treat, all LEGO VIP members may once more take advantage of the Double VIP points promotional during this time.
October 14: Halloween Themed Building Event – Build Your Own Witch (40070).
Sign up to build and take home your very own Halloween-themed Witch model based on October 2013’s Monthly Mini Build which comes in at 22 pieces. Similar to the MMBs, in-store participation is limited to children ages 6 to 14, and registration will be on a first come, first serve basis due to its limited quantities.
As a last note, it’s good to know that the recently discoveredLEGO BrickHeadz The LEGO Ninjago Movie Lloyd (41487) set will be available for purchase at all LEGO Stores in October.
First spotted as a Toys R Us exclusive, the LEGO BrickHeadz Lloyd set is also paired with a Master Wu (41488) BrickHeadz set both of which will retail for $9.99 each. We don’t have a definite date of release as of the moment as far as LEGO Stores are concerned, though the ones announced by TRU will be available starting October 1.
For the past years, TRU has celebrated the month of October with a series of exclusive, limited edition minifigures to mark what has been dubbed as TRU’s Bricktober sales. 2016 saw four LEGO minifigure sets released by TRU per week for the whole month of October consisting of a Musicians (Week 1), Warrior (Week 2), Athletes (Week 3), and Cops and Robbers (Week 4) packs. These minifigures packs were given for free for a minimum purchase of any LEGO products worth $50 and above at all participating Toys R Us in the US and some parts of the globe.
This year, TRU is keeping the tradition alive with the latest reveal of its exclusive Bricktober minifigure sets, and this time, we now have our first images of these prized minifigs courtesy of Promobricks. These reveals covers Weeks 2 and 3 of the series, with LEGO Classic and Ninjago slated to be revealed anytime soon.
LEGO Batman Movie Toys R Us Bricktober 2017 Minifigures – Week 2 (5004939)
LEGO City Jungle Exploration Toys R Us Bricktober 2017 Minifigures – Week 3 (5004940)
As you can see, each set consists of four minifigures, and though I haven’t seen any of the LEGO Ninjago Movie and Classic Bricktober minifigures, the LEGO Batman Movie Bricktober minifigs already won my heart. All of Batman’s iterations included in this set don’t disappoint. I’m personally looking forward to that Roman Soldier Batman minifig with its cool bat-themed shield and armor/torso.
There’s no official word from TRU as of the moment, but we expect that they will be releasing a flyer of their own October LEGO calendar, similar to the one that they gave last year.
Toys R Us Bricktober Calendar from 2016.
It is fair to assume that qualifying LEGO purchases required to avail these exclusive minifigs will most likely fall between $50 to $75 US dollars given their previous promotionals. We’ll give you updates as soon as it becomes available, so be sure to click on that subscribe button (the one with the bell icon) down below and stay tuned here at the Brick Show!
Here’s another great reveal outside of this month’s Force Friday II euphoria. Toys R Us has recently listed for pre-order a pair of LEGO BrickHeadz sets to compliment the release of Warner Bros. next brick-built film, The LEGO Ninjago Movie. Adding to the roster of the largely popular BrickHeadz theme, are two of the film’s protagonist: the Green Ninja himself, Lloyd Garmadon, and his teacher Master Wu. Each set comes with an exclusively unique, printed baseplate that makes there BrickHeadz version highly collectible.
As it seems, the LEGO BrickHeadz Lloyd (41487) and Master Wu (41488) sets are exclusively available at TRU and will be released on October 1, 2017. Both sets are now available for pre-order and will retail for $9.99 each. We’ll wait for more updates to see if this will also be available at shop.LEGO.com and other retailers eventually.
Here’s the rest of the info for these latest BrickHeadz addition, courtesy of Toys R Us.

This largest LEGO Ideas set to date comes in at 2,049 pieces and retails for a good value of $150. Other than its great price point and modular design, what I like most about the LEGO Ideas Old Fishing Store (21310) is that it comes with plenty of sand green pieces which are pretty nice for a build at this scale. It has plenty of details that bring to mind the nostalgia of the good ‘ol fishing days. Check out the set’s product information below, and the rest of the Old Fishing Store’s official images.
Stay tuned at our YouTube channel where Stephen will build and review this cool set over the course of the week.

To mark its debut, LEGO Stores in the US gave away several premium LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) brochures, as reported by The Brick Fan. According to Allen, the tri-fold brochure itself is a fitting testament to the grandiosity of the Falcon, with the brochure itself being made of high quality paper. The cover sports the Falcon’s exterior, while the contents shows the workings of its brick-built interiors and the different minifigures that goes along with it. As an added trivia, the brochure also reveals that the building instructions for the UCS MF will consist of 496 pages bound in a spiral booklet. As expected, some folks would like to see this as an aftermarket opportunity where they even posted these premium brochures for sale over at eBay.

We still have a day to go before this year’s Force Friday II is officially concluded, and with all of its announced offers and freebies, it seems that LEGO has another promotional exclusive hidden under its sleeve. We’re not really sure if this is a last minute call from the part of TLG or is just a response to the fact that the Scarif Stormtrooper (40176) minifigure polybag is already not showing at shop.LEGO.com once you check out, nevertheless, this latest minifigure promotional may prove to be attractive to the most avid collector of LEGO Star Wars minifigures.
Before the clock strikes 12 at midnight (EST) of September 3, or while supplies last, LEGO Star Wars fans (US and Canada only) with a qualifying purchase of $50 or more of any LEGO Star Wars products will receive a FREE and exclusive Admiral Yularen minifigure (5002947) as seen in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. The latest promotional is now up at shop.LEGO.com, though we’re not certain until when this freebie will be up considering the expected high volume of sales brought by Force Friday II.
The 4-piece minifigure features Admiral Yularen in his Imperial Security Bureau uniform. The said minifigure is valued at $5.99, but of course, the after-market value of this exclusive may go beyond that price point depending on the relative interest of the community. Unfortunately, as I mentioned earlier, if you’re still looking forward to bag that Scarif Stormtrooper minifigure, the possibility of grabbing one as of this writing is close to nil. However, LEGO is kind enough to throw in Admiral Yularen as an exclusive freebie as an apparent replacement for its first minifig promotional.
What do you think brick fans, do you still have any last minute LEGO Force Friday II shopping plans? Are you looking to bring home this minifigure? Share us what you think in the comments below.
As we reported a few days back, we have the exclusive Scarif Stormtrooper (40176) minifigure polybag which you can get for free with a minimum purchase of $50 or more. LEGO Star Wars fans in Europe are also treated with exclusives limited to their region. For every €65 worth of LEGO purchases, customers will take home a free LEGO Star Wars The Last Jedi First Order Heavy Assault Walker (30497) polybag both in-stores and online.
The Double VIP points promotional are still up, and as an additional treat, each LEGO Star Wars purchase will entitle you to a free poster: one different type from today and until September 3.

Force Friday II is now upon us, and has officially kicked off in North America and the rest of the world. A few moments ago, LEGO has finally made it official to reveal their LEGO Star Wars The Last Jedi sets. Frankly, this is not much of a secret anymore since the internet has been rife with all of these images since the rumor went pandemic as early as spring of this year. We also did a write-upwhere we showed you these images before based on certain retailer sites where these sets were posted for pre-order. Unfortunately, LEGO kindly (ahem) asked us to take them down.
These LEGO Star Wars The Last Jedi sets are now made official, and LEGO has now listed them at shop.LEGO.com. Here’s the details of each set, including their descriptions.
