A few weeks ago, we reported some bit of smoke coming from the rumor mill that a LEGO DC Comics Superheroes CMF is somewhat on its way. Truth be told, the news of such a possibility has been floating around for quite some time. And not until earlier today that evidence of such a rumor has actually been corroborated, well, from unofficial channels.
A quick #legoleaks search over at Instagram will show you that some images of these purported CMF series have already been released. Like before, we are not in liberty to show you these images here on our blog site, but if you don’t mind some spoilers, then I suggest that you read on.
As of press time, we can confirm that 7 from these LEGO DC Comics Superheroes CMF has already been revealed which seems to include a collection of comic book characters that represent both classic and contemporary versions of well-known DC heroes and villains. Considering that this upcoming LEGO CMF series is slated to be released early in 2020, then we can expect more images (aka leaks) to be out in the upcoming weeks.
For starters, we have the following confirmed DC characters in this next wave of LEGO CMF:

They’re impressive actually, and I’m excited to see the rest of the DC characters that LEGO added to this latest CMF. We already have the LEGO Batman Movie CMF Series 1 and Series 2 which in themselves have introduced a fair number of DC characters in LEGO minifig form. So having a new CMF line that is entirely dedicated to DC Comics is a welcomed move that will expand our collection of LEGO DC superheroes minifigures. We saw its official images a couple of weeks ago, and this time we now have an idea on how many complete sets we can expect right out of the box of the upcoming LEGO CMF Series 19 (71025). YouTuber The Brick Shack managed to get his hands on three unopened boxes of this latest CMF line and has now revealed that we can expect three complete sets from each box of Series 19 collectible minifigs. Towards the end of his video, The Brick Shack has confirmed that the box distribution for the LEGO CMF Series 19 are as follows:
From the looks of it, you can snag three complete sets out of an unopened box plus 12 additional loose minifigs on the side since each box contains 60 blind bags priced at $3.99 USD each. Furthermore, it was also revealed that the 1st and 2nd row of each box offers a complete set of LEGO CMF Series 19. So it goes without saying that should you wait for their release on the 1st week of September, then better keep an eye on that freshly opened box in-store if you want to get all of them in one go. It also saves you the time and effort of feeling your way through each blind bag for that matter.

This next LEGO Star Wars collectible takes its cue from the first Obi-Wan minifigure that was released in LEGO Star Wars Landspeeder (7110) from 1999. It also comes with a buildable stand featuring a printed base with the exclusive 20 Years of LEGO Star Wars logo. This is similar to other collectible minifigures included in the line-up LEGO Star Wars 20th Anniversary sets.
We have no other info as of press time regarding the availability of this polybag, but Toys N Bricks surmise that this Obi-Wan Kenobi Collectible Minifigure (30624) may be available as an upcoming LEGO promo. LEGO in the past has similarly released several related promotional CMFs including the Han Solo Mudtrooper (40300), DJ (40298) from The Last Jedi subtheme, and the Scariff Stormtrooper (40176) and R3-M2 (40268) both from Rogue One. All of these minifigs were given away for free for qualifying LEGO purchases worth $30 to $50 USD. So it is not far-fetched to consider if this Obi-Wan collectible will have the same treatment.

I was mostly offline during these past few days since I shared some of my initial thoughts on the next wave of LEGO collectible minifigs (was struggling with a ridiculous amount of schoolwork during these times). I must also admit that I based my opinion of them on a blind bag checklist that was leaked on social media sites. But thanks to online German toy store JB Spielwaren, we can now have a better look at these images. These are official images by the way that LEGO provided to third party retailers and as of this posting Spielwaren has them up on their site so I guess its fair game sharing these here are as well. I’m still waiting for LEGO to announce the official names of these characters from the LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 19 (71025), so for the meantime let’s settle for these preliminary names. Here we go.
The LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 19 (71025) is slated to be released in September. I’ll keep you posted especially when more info comes out regarding Series 19’s box distribution.

After unveiling its first SDCC 2019 minifigure exclusive a couple of weeks ago, LEGO has now revealed its next event-exclusive minifig via Twitter. The LEGO DC Comics Zebra Batman is the second SDCC 2019 exclusive offering following the Spider-Man Advanced Suit. This yet another version of the Dark Knight takes its cue from the Detective Comics Issue #275 released in January of 1960 and will be available to all SDCC 2019 attendees on July 20 through a randomized instant-win lottery.
In the comics, Zebra-Batman, aside from his rather weird appearance, was imbued with magnetic powers that he received from the same machine that powered the supervillain Zebra-Man.
In case you need to know, this latest iteration of Batman in a trippy kind of suit is the 77th LEGO minifig rendition of the Caped Crusader in minifigure form and the second LEGO SDCC exclusive offering since 2008. In the tradition of San Diego Comic-Con’s LEGO exclusives, LEGO has now revealed this year’s first minifigure to be made available to participants. The LEGO Marvel Spider-Man AdvancedSuit takes its cue from 2018’s hit Playstation 4 video game, Spider-Man.
We can assume that SDCC 2019 attendees will have access to this LEGO minifig exclusive via the same electronic raffle/system as in previous years. Furthermore, according to info coming from Allen (aka The Brick Fan), there will also be a randomized instant-win raffle event where Comic-Con attendees can get a chance to win this LEGO Marvel Spider-Man Advanced Suit exclusive.
To be frank, I’m still hoping that The LEGO Group will still consider having Comic-Con LEGO exclusives such as this, be available to other LEGO fans who cannot attend these kinds of conventions for obvious geographical reasons. Perhaps LEGO can give a thought on how to make these minifigs available to the general public after a certain number of months. This will also somehow discourage scalpers for charging a ridiculous amount for this SDCC LEGO exclusives over at eBay.

After the official reveal of the LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga video game a couple of days ago, LEGO has finally given us a glimpse of the minifig version of their newest droid in town. We’re still 6 months away from the release of the last film installment in the 9-part Star Wars Skywalker saga, but this doesn’t stop LEGO from showing us the cutest droid that will follow the likes of BB-8 and R2-D2. From the way it seems, it definitely shows that the new LEGO Star Wars D-0 will be taking brick fans by storm.

D-0 made his first appearance alongside BB-8 in the teaser trailer for Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker released last April. He then made his first live, public appearance at this year’s Star Wars Celebration held in Chicago. We can very much expect that D-0 will be included in the next wave of LEGO Star Wars tie-in sets later on. Check out the following video where this latest droid is introduced to throngs of Star Wars fans.
Similar to BB-8, this LEGO version of D-0 also comes in as a single-mold minifigure. Though I feel that this video game version of D-0 is closer to his intended LEGO form, the actual minifig may have slight variations, the same way BB-8 appears in many LEGO Star Wars sets. Needless to say, I’m excited to see how this new droid will fare once additional info comes out about the LEGO Star Wars Rise of Skywalker sets sometime in August or September.

LEGO seems to be investing a lot in mobile games recently. Following the announcement and promotions surrounding the LEGO Tower mobile game which will launch this summer, LEGO has officially announced another upcoming mobile game that will cater to LEGO fans of all ages. Developed in partnership with Gameloft, LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed features a team-battle, role-playing game where the player controls any of LEGO’s iconic and more recent minifigure characters in an expansive universe of LEGO’s original creations and 40 years of minifig history.
