LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71038 Disney 100 Box Distribution Revealed

As you may already know, LEGO fans have 18 reasons to celebrate Disney’s centennial celebrations this year. Third in the series, the LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71038 Disney 100 was officially revealed last month and is set to arrive on May 1st in celebration of the House of Mouse’s 100th anniversary. With a bumper of 18 different characters, including Pinocchio, Mulan, Baymax, Cruella de Vil, and more, this new series is expected to be a hit with LEGO fans of all ages.

However, if you’re looking to get your hands on a specific minifigure, you’ll need to be strategic. The blind-bagged nature of these collectible minifigures means that you won’t know what you’re getting until you open the package. So, what are your options for getting the characters you want?

Box Distribution for the LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71038 Disney 100

It has been confirmed already that a single box from the LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71038 packets should contain two complete sets of 18 minifigures (with 36 blind bags from each box). This means that if you buy a complete box of minifigures, you’re guaranteed to get your hands on the full batch of LEGO Disney 100th anniversary minifigures.

LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71038

However, if you’re only after a few characters, you may not want to spend the money on a full box. In that case, it’s worth knowing the complete box distribution to increase your chances of finding the characters you want. Fresh boxes typically have a consistent distribution of specific characters, so if you know where your favorites are located, you’ll have a better chance of finding them.

Early reviews of the LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71038 Disney 100 such as those from Ashnflash and Jay’s Brick Blog have confirmed the exact box distribution for the new series of blind-bagged characters, and where to find each character based on their particular placement inside their box.

Take a look at the table below.

FRONT OF THE BOX

Complete Box vs. Individual Packets

Buying a complete box of the LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71038 isn’t the only way to get your hands on the full set of characters. You could also split the cost with a friend and divide up the two sets between you. However, if you’re only after a handful of characters, buying individual packets may be your best option.

Feeling out the Characters Maybe Your Last Option

One of the ways to get the characters is to feel your way through the individual CMF packets. While this method can be effective, it’s not foolproof. It requires a good sense of touch and can be time-consuming. Plus considering the current post-pandemic situation, feeling your way through each bag is not a safe option as well.

Knowing the box distribution layout for the LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71038 series can help improve your chances of finding your favorite characters. Keep in mind that this layout may not be 100% the same across every box, but it’s a good starting point. It can reduce the amount of time required if you’re fine with feeling each blind bag and improve your chances of finding the minifigures you want. Plus, with the rumored release of the second series of LEGO Marvel Collectible Minifigures in September, which is expected to switch to new cardboard packaging, knowing where each CMF is placed inside a fresh box may be the only method available to find your favorite characters.

For now, fans can look forward to adding the LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71038 Disney 100 to their collection and displaying them proudly to commemorate Disney’s 100th anniversary.

LEGO Disney Magical Treehouse (43215) Coming in June!

It looks like we can expect more LEGO Disney sets along the way as we count down the months before the titular House of Mouse celebrates its 100th year anniversary. Other than a lovely collection of LEGO Disney Collectible Minifigures and LEGO Disney 100 sets, it looks like LEGO is now putting the spotlight on its renowned Disney Princesses. Arriving in June, the upcoming LEGO Disney Magical Treehouse (43215) set is expected to be a hit to all LEGO Disney minidoll collectors.

lego disney magical treehouse

Though LEGO is still quite mum about it, South Korea’s search platform and online store Naver, has already listed this LEGO Disney Magical Treehouse set. And what perhaps makes this set stand out is the fact that it is jam-packed with 13 minidolls of all the Disney Princess to date. As far as I recall, there is no other LEGO set that contains as much as minidolls in one go. Coming in at 1,016 pieces, you’ll get to bring home the LEGO mini-doll versions of Elsa, Anna, Alice in Wonderland, Belle, Wendy, Tinkerbell, Mirabel, Moana, Mulan, Pocahontas, Raya, Tiana, and Jasmine.

The LEGO Disney Magical Treehouse (43215) set is yet to appear at US LEGO.com. But my guess is that LEGO’s home shopping portal will be updated any time soon, especially since this latest offering will be part of LEGO’s product line-up for the month of June. Once listed, it is expected to retail for around $150. In the meantime, check out some of these images and take a look. Please take note that the product description mentioned here is from a raw Google translation from Korean, so pardon me if this is not quite perfect. I’ll update this post once additional information comes in.

LEGO The Majestic Horse (010423) April Fool’s Set Released

Well, this is something out of the ordinary. Though the infamous prankster’s day has already passed, I’m still amazed at the length LEGO will go through to make things a bit more fun. Because as it turned out, LEGO was kind enough to officially distribute its LEGO The Majestic Horse (010423) set to select LEGO fan media outlets as part of its April 1st joke.

The LEGO The Majestic Horse is Not What You Think It Is

LEGO The Majestic Horse

Just to be clear, this is an actual set and I opted to share this a few days after April 1 to save this news from being brushed off as another April Fool’s prank. As mentioned in its box, the LEGO The Majestic Horse (010423) is an 18+ set and clocks in at 475 pieces. It’s hilarious how LEGO gave a hint of things to come with the set number itself being a play on the date of April 1st.

But the fun happens when you finally happen to finish the build. Instead of having a galloping horse, you are greeted by the iconic doge meme of the Internet. Instead of a horse, you’ll have a vignette of a Shiba Inu wearing a pair of Sonic’s red shoes and one that doesn’t mind pooping on the racing track.

LEGO The Majestic Horse

Unfortunately, there are only 10 of these sets in existence according to The Brick Fan. These sets were given to select recognized LEGO fan media outlets for review (Brickset did a great one on this set), and I’m not sure if LEGO will be releasing the building instructions for its LEGO The Majestic Horse (010423) set anytime soon.  I sure hope they do since it’s a fun and healthy way to prank someone even if it’s not April Fool’s Day.

LEGO Teases on New LEGO Star Wars Return of the Jedi Sets

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Star Wars Episode VI, LEGO took to social media to give a hint of things to come with its new LEGO Star Wars Return of the Jedi set. Return of the Jedi is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year since its first theatrical run in May 1983. To celebrate this milestone, LEGO somewhat teases the imminent reveal of its new sets inspired by the events of the iconic film.

The teaser announcement came in via its official Twitter page, highlighting a couple of photos that show children donning costumes and props, re-enacting key moments of the film. We have a photo that seems to hint at the famous speeder bike chase on the forest moon of Endor and another that shows the iconic showdown between the Emperor and Luke Skywalker in the Emperor’s throne room.

LEGO Teases Their New LEGO Star Wars Return of the Jedi Sets Over at Social Media

Interestingly, the photo on this video clip includes several LEGO parts and pieces that may hint at two new LEGO Star Wars Return of the Jedi sets that will be revealed soon. And if you look closely at the banner photo that LEGO used for its Twitter and Facebook pages, these LEGO parts and pieces were given a more prominent view.

New LEGO Star Wars Return of the Jedi

As you may have guessed, the build on the left side of the photo, together with the large circular plate, are all parts of the Emperor’s throne room. Those on the right shows remnants of a Speeder Bike as it is surrounded by plant or foliage similar to how we can imagine in the forests of Endor.

And if you’re following the trail of LEGO Star Wars leaks recently, then there is some buzz surrounding a couple of new LEGO Star Wars Return of the Jedi sets specifically the Emperor’s Throne Room (75352) and the Endor Speed Chase (75353). Details are still scant about these sets, but according to Brickset, the former is expected to clock in at 807 pieces, while the latter is at 608 pieces. Given their size and LEGO’s marketing approach to these sets, we can somewhat glimpse that these may be intended for AFOLs especially considering that the film itself is already celebrating its 40th anniversary.

75093 1

7956 1
The new LEGO Star Wars Return of the Jedi sets takes their inspiration from these previous sets, but follow a diorama style that is intended to be more of a display set.

Though there are plenty of images and even reviews of these upcoming LEGO Star Wars Return of the Jedi sets out there, apparently because of another 3rd-party retailer slip-up, they are still not officially revealed by LEGO. But a quick look at these sources (if you don’t mind having a spoiler or two), shows that these new sets take their inspiration from previous ones such as the Ewok Attack (7956) from 2011 and the Death Star Final Duel (75093) from 2015. But this time, the newer iterations follow a more diorama-like format bearing the movie’s 4oth anniversary logo.

In the meantime, we have just to wait for LEGO’s official reveal of its new LEGO Star Wars Return of the Jedi sets any time soon, and hopefully, this month. Just remember to keep tabs on our blog for the latest LEGO Star Wars news and updates.

LEGO Star Wars Tenoo Jedi Temple (75358) Coming in July!

LEGO has revealed another LEGO Star Wars tie-in set that takes inspiration from another upcoming Disney+ series. And just in time for the series premiere of the animated Young Jedi Adventures on April 26, LEGO.com has now listed a new LEGO Star Wars Tenoo Jedi Temple (75358).

Check Out These Features from the LEGO Star Wars Tenoo Jedi Temple Set

LEGO Star Wars Tenoo Jedi Temple

The set is expected to launch in July and features the characters of Jedi Younglings Lys Solay and Kai Brightstar as they go through adventures on becoming fully pledged Jedi Knights. The animated series is said to take place during the relatively peaceful time of the High Republic Era, long before the events of the main Star Wars films. I’m not sure of the year when the events of the Young Jedi Adventures will take place, but looking at the much younger character of Master Yoda and how he was rendered, I guess that the series will go way back to Star Wars lore.

There’s still much to learn about the Outer Rim planet of Tenoo, but seeing how LEGO devoted a set that references this mysterious planet, we can also guess that this location plays an important role in Star Wars canon.

Though the LEGO Star Wars Tenoo Jedi Temple is intended for younger LEGO builders, I will not be surprised if LEGO Star Wars AFOLs will want to add this set to their collection as well considering the minifigures that go along with the set. Coming in at 124 pieces, this set features the minifigure versions of Lys Solay and Kai Brightstar, including a new LEGO version of Master Yoda.

The next gift-with-purchase set, the LEGO Pirate Ship Playground (40589) is officially revealed!

The playfulness of this set is somehow reminiscent of what we can find from last year’s LEGO VIP exclusive gift which is the Pirate Adventure Ride (6432431) and LEGO Ideas Cosmic Cardboard Adventures (40533).

LEGO Pirate Ship Playground

Valued at $30, there is no word yet on how much you need to spend online or in-store to bag this freebie. If LEGO intends to have this as a Children’s Day gift as the product description suggests, then we might see a release date sometime in June. Children’s Day in the US is celebrated every June 11 so we might see a release date for the LEGO Pirate Ship Playground around the first week of June.

LEGO BrickHeadz Battle of Endor Heroes 40623 Officially Revealed

It looks like the LEGO BrickHeadz theme is spreading its Star Wars roots once more, especially since this year marks the 40th anniversary of Star Wars Return of the Jedi. LEGO.com Malaysia has now listed a new LEGO BrickHeadz Battle of Endor Heroes (40623) set that rallies together the key champions of the galactic Rebellion.

LEGO BrickHeadz Battle of Endor Heroes

The set further expands the LEGO BrickHeadz Star Wars line by rendering the characters of Luke Skywalker (in his Jedi outfit), RD-D2, Lando Calrissian, Wicket, and Princess Leia, giving them their official BrickHeadz versions. The 5-character set comes in at 549 pieces and is still yet to have a retail price to be published.

As of this posting, the LEGO online store in the US and the rest of the world is yet to be updated to include this latest offering. But given its number of pieces as a licensed set, we can somewhat expect this to retail for around $40.

LEGO Flowerpot

Currently listed on LEGO’s Australian web store, the LEGO Flowerpot is valued at $40 and comes in at 292 pieces. As of this post, this promotional set is not yet listed at LEGO.com US and details on how to redeem this set are not yet published. But given the value of this set, it is likely that it may also be offered for free once you reach a minimum LEGO spend of $250 or more.

The LEGO Flowerpot is inspired by LEGO’s Botanical Collection featuring several springtime favorites such as cherry blossoms and billy buttons. Its box art comes in a predominantly lavender color and also bears LEGO’s limited-edition branding at the bottom.

I’ll keep you posted once more details come in, especially about this set’s promo mechanics. In the meantime, check out the rest of its product details and images below.
