LEGO Mini Adidas Originals Superstar (40486) Promotional Officially Revealed

The LEGO Store July 2021 Store Calendar has already been released online, and with it comes an exciting announcement of how you can get the LEGO Mini Adidas Originals Superstar (40486). If you recall, this collectible gift-with-purchase set has been spotted in LEGO’s designer video for the larger LEGO Adidas Originals Superstar (10282) set. Brickset also managed to do an early review of this miniature counterpart in case you want to take a look.

Not only does LEGO made the promotional item official by including the details on its next LEGO Store Calendar, we also have official pictures of this set published online.

Another good thing that we can expect is that unlike what was initially speculated, this GWP will not be strictly tied in together with its larger counterpart. Instead, this gift-with-purchase set will be added to your cart once your single-receipt purchase of any LEGO products reaches $85 or more. Personally, I’m glad that LEGO opted for this direction since I am personally looking forward to this cute little collectible rather than the larger set.

This LEGO Mini Adidas Originals Superstar (40486) promotional will be available at LEGO brand stores and LEGO Shop@Home from July 1 to 14 or while supplies last. So be sure to plan your next LEGO purchase this July if you want to bag this one.

LEGO Swing Ship Ride (5006746) VIP Gift Now Available

LEGO VIP members are in for a treat starting this week. Because as mentioned in the June 2021 LEGO Store Calendar, from June 21 to 30, 2021, LEGO VIP members in the US can now get the LEGO Swing Ship Ride (50067546) as their next gift-with-purchase (GWP) set.

Every single-receipt purchase of any LEGO sets or products worth $85 during the promo period, will entitle you to this nice Children’s Day giveaway. The set clocks in at 152 pieces with a retail value of $13, and features a movable swing ship on what seems to be an 8×8 base. It also comes with a 2×4 tile with a message, Happy Children’s Day 2021. I’m not quite sure if the tile is printed, but it will be nice if LEGO can throw in an exclusively printed piece.

If you also noticed, the June 2021 LEGO Store Calendar has initially shown that the tile piece mentions a LEG GODT 2021 message (which means Play Well in Danish). Frankly, I prefer this particular version since it captures the essence of what it means to play with LEGO bricks. In any case, I guess that there might be regional variations with regards to this LEGO Swing Ship Ride (5006746) GWP considering that Children’s Day in the US is usually celebrated in June.

Whatever message it carries, the Swing Ship Ride is still a great freebie to have this month. Feel free to share in the comments below your first impression of this set, especially if you already received yours.

LEGO Mini Adidas Originals Superstars (40486) Spotted

After officially revealing the LEGO Adidas Originals Superstars (10282) brick-built trainer, it looks like LEGO is planning to offer a miniature version of this display set. Its much smaller counterpart, the LEGO Mini Adidas Originals Superstars (40486), has been spotted in the wild and is expected to be offered alongside its larger cousin.

Shared by Brickfinder, this particular LEGO Mini Adidas Originals Superstars set was believed to be spotted in South Korea as shared by a fellow eagle-eyed LEGO fan. Details are scant regarding its availability in other regions but after seeing it teased by LEGO via the designer video for set 10282, then we can be confident that it might be available worldwide as well. I’m inclined to believe that LEGO has plans of offering it as a gift-with-purchase (GWP) set to accompany the LEGO Adidas Originals Superstars (10282) on its launch date in July 1, 2021.

I personally like how this mini-version turned out, starting from its box art and to the brick-built mini-shoe and minifigure. If you will look closely at the minifigure via the designer video, you might notice the sticker outline on its 2×4 shoebox costume. I have to say that it is way better if LEGO opted for a printed version of this. It’s nice to see this little guy along with other collectible minifigure characters such as the Brick Suit Girl and Brick Suit Guy from LEGO CMF Series 18 (71021). But I guess we just have to wait and see until next month to get a closer look.

We have little information about this freebie, especially about its piece count. But judging from its initial photos, we can see that the Swing Ship Ride comes on an 8×8 base that features a swing mechanism and a sticker that echoes LEGO’s founding principle of “LEG GODT” or “play well”. I’ll give you updates once more info comes in.

Just in time with the announcement of the new LEGO Star Wars UCS R2-D2 (75308) set, LEGO has also unveiled its 2021 May the 4th promotions and other pretty cool freebies. And similar to previous years’ promo, LEGO is now giving another iconic Star Wars scene a microscaled, diorama rendition. Aside from its cool selection of LEGO Star Wars sets up for grabs, LEGO Shop@Home has now been updated to include several of its May the 4th promotions which will be made available starting May 1st.

Free LEGO Star Wars Tatooine Homestead (40451)

Similar to its diorama predecessors such as 2020’s Death Star II Battle (40407) and 2019’s Battle of Hoth – 20th Anniversary Edition (40333), the Tatooine Homestead (40451) features a microscaled version of Luke Skywalker’s beginnings in his home planet of Tatooine. This miniature vignette depicts the Lars family home, a Landspeeder, a Sandcrawler with the desert dunes of Tatooine on its background, and the year 2021 featured on the center. This May the 4th promotional will be added to your cart for free for every single receipt LEGO Star Wars purchases made between May 1 to 5 worth $85 and above.

Free LEGO Star Wars Imperial Shuttle (30388) Polybag

As an in-store freebie, LEGO is throwing in this LEGO Star Wars Imperial Shuttle (30388) polybag for fans who will opt to visit and purchase at their nearest LEGO Store from May 1 to 5. LEGO Star Wars Dutch Vander Minifigure VIP Sweepstakes

With regards to the minifigure, I really can’t say if it’s an entirely new minifig version of the Gold Leader since its looks very much the same as that of the exclusive minifigure that came with the LEGO Star Wars UCS Y-wing Starfighter (75181) from 2018.

Aside from these c0llectible freebies, we can also expect the usual LEGO Double VIP points for LEGO Star Wars purchases made from May 1 to 5.
