LEGO dropped another interesting teaser over its Twitter page earlier today. Though LEGO has not completely named the set as of this posting, word over at brick street refers to this set as a LEGO Adidas Superstar (10282)
This life-sized brick-built shoe is rumored to be around 731 pieces and basically includes only a single one. Obviously, if you need to be as life-like as possible and wish to have a complete pair, then you need to buy 2 copies of this set. And if we will take this teaser image of the LEGO Adidas Superstar (10282) for what it is, then we might be seeing a new LEGO element in the form of a new textile piece for the shoelace. The curved printed elements used for the tip of the shoe may also be something new. We can also expect a pretty stylish box art to accompany the set, similar perhaps to what you can expect from an Adidas shoebox. If it is also intended as a display set, then I guess LEGO might be throwing in a nameplate for this one similar to other LEGO 18+ sets that it offered before.
This upcoming LEGO reveal is rumored to be the LEGO Adidas Superstar (10282), based on the iconic low-top athletic shoes designed by Adidas.
LEGO is quite mum understandably about the rest of the set’s details save for its release date on July 1st, alongside the recently revealed LEGO Ideas Typewriter (21327). And since we’re just two weeks away from its official reveal, we can expect more and more information to come out in the next few days.
So what do you think of a buildable LEGO Adidas Superstar (10282) trainer set? Is it a must-have for your LEGO wishlist, or is it a pass? Let me know what you think in the comments below. Thanks to Stone Wars for the additional info.
To celebrate the official debut of the LEGO Ideas Typewriter (21327), LEGO Designer Master Wes Talbott gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process that went through the creation of this nostalgic set. Watch the video below.
As a brainchild of LEGO Ideas fan designer Steve Guinness, this latest LEGO Ideas offering features some of the ingenious ways of combining LEGO Technic and System elements from a technical perspective. Its functional key mechanisms are quite impressive because there are a total of 31 keys that you can actually press. These keys interact with the working type bar, brick-built carriage, and platen roller to give that authentic nostalgic feel of using an actual typewriter. Aesthetically, the choice of giving it a sand green color scheme was inspired by the office instruments used by LEGO Group founder Ole Kirk Christiansen. The LEGO Ideas Typewriter was actually based on the classic Erika-10 typewriter that once occupied the desktop space of the venerable founder.
The LEGO Ideas Typewriter (21327) is slated to have an early VIP release on June 16, and to the rest of the public on July 1. If you wish to add this to your LEGO wishlist, be sure to check out the following affiliate link below.
After releasing a teaser earlier this week, LEGO has finally revealed the nostalgic and elegant LEGO Ideas Typewriter (21327). From the creative mind of LEGO fan builder Steve Guinness from the UK, this next LEGO Ideas set pays tribute to one of the iconic office tools that are close to the heart of LEGO Group founder Ole Kirk Christiansen.
The LEGO Ideas Typewriter (21327) comes in a sand green color scheme and mirrors the functions and tactility of a classic typewriter. There’s also a center typebar that rises each time a letter key is pressed, while its carriage actually moves across as you type. It also includes a platen roller that real paper can be fed into. There’s no mention of an optional Powered Up function similar to the Grand Piano (21323), so I guess LEGO intends to retain the Typewriter’s classic look and feel on this one.
This latest LEGO Ideas set clocks in at 2,079 pieces and will retail for $200 once it releases on June 16 for LEGO VIP members, and on July 1 for the general public. Click on the following affiliate link to know more, and to add this to your LEGO wishlist.
2,079 pieces | $199.99 | Coming soon on July 1; with an early VIP release on June 16, 2021.
Unplug from your digital life and recall simpler times as you build a LEGO® Ideas model of an old-fashioned typewriter (21327). The design is inspired by the classic typewriter used by the LEGO Group’s founder Ole Kirk Kristiansen, and it moves and sounds just like the real thing. The brick-built center typebar rises each time a letter key is pressed and is linked to the carriage that moves across as you type. There is also a platen roller that you can feed real paper into.
Created by a LEGO fan for fans Created by a LEGO fan and voted for by LEGO fans, this detailed typewriter model comes with a letter written by Thomas Kirk Kristiansen, a member of the fourth generation of the LEGO Group’s owner family – slot his letter into the typewriter to complete a delightful display piece.
Top gift Part of a collection of premium-quality LEGO building kits for adults, this model comes with clear instructions and makes the best gift for yourself, LEGO fans, writers, and lovers of all things retro.

Great for spending quality time alone or with the family, this nostalgic, collectible model makes a unique birthday or holiday gift for yourself, LEGO® fans, writers, and lovers of all things retro.

If building two life-sized, brick-built models of some of the most venerable supercars in the world is not enough, then perhaps building another one will be very much welcomed. Following the tracks of 2019’s McLaren’s Senna and 2018’s Bugatti’s Chiron, now comes another LEGO masterpiece in the form of this 1:1 LEGO Technic Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 made out of LEGO Technic pieces.
Requiring more than 400,000 LEGO Technic pieces to build, this replica of the latest supercar from Lamborghini weighed in at 2.2 tons and required 8,660 hours of production and development hours. Here’s a quick fact sheet on what was required to create this jaw-dropping brick spectacle.
Similar to its predecessors, this life-sized model also celebrates the release of its much smaller cousin, albeit on a much grander scale, the LEGO Technic Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 (42115) from last year. For the life-sized model, over 154 different types of LEGO elements were required to give the model its futuristic elegance and unmistakable silhouette and details.
Lena Dixen, Senior Vice President of Product and Marketing at the LEGO Group said:
“Our designers love a challenge, so you can imagine their delight when we tasked them to think slightly larger than normal with this model. They jumped at the chance of teaming up with our amazing designers and engineers from our model production workshop at the Kladno factory in the Czech Republic who build these impressive life-size models and really pushing the boundaries of what can be done with LEGO Technic. The creativity that the system allows meant it was possible to really do justice to the exceptional design of the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37.”
Unlike the Chiron and Senna, this life-sized LEGO Technic Lamborghini Sián will most likely not hit the road for a tour and exhibit because of the pandemic. But thankfully, LEGO offers us a virtual behind-the-scenes look at how this brick masterpiece was developed, and you may also read the LEGO Group’s official press release for more information.
Our next LEGO Ideas set is about to officially be revealed soon, with LEGO releasing a video teaser hinting at the arrival of its 3rd LEGO Ideas set of 2021 – the LEGO Ideas Typewriter (21327).
As a fan-submitted entry by LEGO fan builder Steve Guinness over at the LEGO Ideas platform, this brick-built classic typewriter managed to win the approval of the LEGO Ideas Review Team during the Third 2019 Review Stage.
According to sources from brick street, the LEGO Ideas Typewriter is quite a hefty one, clocking in at 2,078 pieces making it the sixth-largest LEGO Ideas set in the theme. It is also rumored to come in a predominant sand green color, as opposed to being gray like how Steve intended it to be. I’m not quite sure about it, but it is also rumored that the choice of presenting it in sand green was influenced by the classic Erika-10 typewriter that Ole Kirk once used in the 1930s.
The LEGO Ideas Typewriter 21327 may also follow a similar color scheme as that of the classic Erika-10 typewriter.
Additionally, with an expected retail price of $200, it may also suggest that the Typewriter may also feature certain Powered Up functions similar to what it did with the LEGO Ideas Grand Piano (21323). I just hope that this is an optional upgrade of sorts since I am already content with the original design’s working keytop and typebars without the added hardware.
The official release date of the LEGO Ideas Typewriter is also said to be slated for June 16 next week so it is expected that more info might come out this week after the initial teaser. Aside from the LEGO Ideas Typewriter (21327), we can also expect its contemporaries like the LEGO Ideas Home Alone: McCallister’s House and LEGO Ideas Seinfeld 30th Anniversary sets are already in their pre-production stages considering that these two product ideas were also approved to become official LEGO sets alongside the Typewriter. Hopefully will find more info about these before the end of the 3rd quarter.
In the meantime, be sure to keep tabs with us for more updates about this next upcoming LEGO Ideas set.
