LEGO CON 2021 Video Now Available Over YouTube

LEGO has now uploaded the entire LEGO CON 2021 video over its YouTube, making it more accessible to fans worldwide. Billed as the ultimate online experience for LEGO fans everywhere, this is the LEGO Group’s very first live online streaming event that highlights some of its latest products, and a chance to interact with LEGO designers and other master builders.

The original video is still uploaded on the LEGO.com website as to where it is first streamed, and having it available over at YouTube allows more LEGO fans to relive the excitement of the event.

In case you missed the live-streaming event over the weekend, LEGO CON 2021 officially showcased the new LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian sets expected to arrive in August, plus a poll for fans to decide a new  LEGO Minecraft minifigure. It was also the opportune time to reveal a new LEGO Ideas set, inspired by the winner of the LEGO Ideas We Love Sports Contest.

Though I have to admit that I was expecting more from one of LEGO’s grandest events (for some reason, I can sadly hear Thanos’ voice in my head over and over again whenever I think of LEGO Dimensions – “no resurrections this time”). But regardless of my personal feelings towards it, I have to agree that LEGO CON 2021 is a great platform for LEGO to highlight its next line of product offerings. It may not meet everyone’s expectations, but the new and creative opportunities for LEGO fans and builders to connect and interact is a breath of fresh air especially in this time of the pandemic.

So what do you think of this first-ever LEGO CON 2021? What are you’re favorite highlights of the program? What do you wish could have been done better? Let me know in the comments below.

More Details on What to Expect From LEGO CON 2021

LEGO is all set to launch its first-ever online fan convention dubbed as LEGO CON. And after an initial teaser last week, LEGO is slowly building the hype by giving us a glimpse of the many things to expect once the virtual convention commences on June 26.

LEGO’s tweet hints at the various set announcements that are about to happen on LEGO CON. The most noticeable of this is understandably coming from the LEGO Star Wars front. I feel that it may lean towards the reveal of the LEGO Star Wars UCS Republic Gunship, which was ultimately selected by most fans during the LEGO Ideas Fan Vote back from February last year. There will also be a detailed presentation on the latest LEGO Super Mario sets for the 2nd half of the year, including the new Adventures With Luigi Starter Course (71387) and a host of others.  I’m not really sure what LEGO has in mind with its LEGO Technic and Harry Potter presentations, but my best guess is that it might include possible building activities (competition perhaps) involving some of the new sets under these themes. Newer LEGO City sets will also be placed under the spotlight, especially since LEGO has invited an astronaut to grace the occasion. And those fans who will be watching online will also have the chance to participate in a live Q&A with designers of the LEGO Minecraft theme, and with Mojang’s Chief Brand Officer, Ms. Lydia Winters.

We can also be sure that LEGO has plenty of surprises in store during that 90-minute presentation. This includes the promise of more exclusive set reveals and other amazing guests. I’m still dwelling on the thought that the LEGO CON’s 2×2 brick logo may still have a connection to any sets, or activities that will be featured during the free, live online event. So be sure to mark June 26 on your calendars, and check your corresponding local time. For more updates, visit and bookmark the LEGO CON website.

New LEGO Minecraft Summer 2021 Sets Arriving Soon

UPDATE: These LEGO Minecraft summer 2021 sets are now listed over at LEGO Shop@Home. I’ve updated the affiliate links below to point out to their respective product pages.

LEGO has plenty of new sets in store for this summer, and from the looks of it, there will also be a handful of LEGO Minecraft summer 2021 sets as well. Aside from giving the LEGO treatment to Minecraft Dungeons, these new sets follow the first wave of sets that LEGO released at the start of the year, as revealed by Dutch online toy store, Ottosimon.

Like other new sets, this collection of LEGO Minecraft summer 2021 sets also offers some new elements and characters. Noticeable here is the new trans clear headpiece for a Charged Creeper, plus an assortment of new Minecraft minifigures and accessories.

They are not yet listed over at LEGO Shop@Home, but we hope to see these upcoming sets anytime soon. In the meantime, check out these images.

Just a disclaimer – this listing is based on several trusted sources from the LEGO fan community, and eventually compiled by Pricevortex. And though Pricevortex’s predictions are almost 100% correct most of the time, we should always take these things with a grain of salt. Let’s take a look.

The LEGO Catalog H1 2021 Now Up At LEGO Servers

UPDATE: It seems that the LEGO Catalog H1 2021 has been uploaded by mistake since it is no longer available to download from LEGO’s servers.

LEGO has uploaded the digital version of its LEGO Catalog H1 2021 (January to May 2021), and with it comes more LEGO sets that are expected to arrive during the 1st quarter of 2021. From the looks of it, LEGO still has plenty of surprises in store, other than what we know so far coming from its 2021 lineup of sets (e.g. those coming from its various non-licensed themes such City, Creator, Ninjago, and Friends among others).

Needless to say, the LEGO Catalog H1 2021 fills in some of the gaps that are noticeably missing in the upcoming sets that were revealed last time. Let’s take a look at some of these additional sets, all of which are slated to be available in February and March. I’ll keep you posted once these sets are listed over at LEGO Shop@Home.

LEGO Classic Sets (11006, 11007, 11012, 11013, 11014)

LEGO CMF Series 22

We’re still counting the weeks before LEGO CMF Series 21 (71029) is released in January, and from the looks of it, LEGO is giving us a treat in May with the reveal of its CMF Series 22. There’s no word yet on the brick street on what this next wave of collectible minifigs will be, but given LEGO’s previous CMF releases, we can expect that this is most likely to come from a licensed theme. Marvel Superheroes perhaps? Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

Here’s a Look at Some of the First LEGO Minecraft 2021 Sets

Last week, we had a glimpse of what LEGO has in the works for 2021, particularly in the first half of the upcoming year. With plenty of these sets coming from its licensed themes, you may have noticed that there are still some particular themes that the rumor mill may have not covered. Thanks to another third-party toy retailer, we now have a look at some of the first LEGO Minecraft 2021 sets that we can expect anytime soon.

Dutch online toy store Planet Happy has listed two of these LEGO Minecraft sets, both slated to be released in January 2021. From the looks of things, LEGO still has building sets in store for its open-world, video game counterpart considering that the Minecraft franchise has also evolved. With the introduction of Minecraft Dungeons earlier in May, the wealth of brick inspirations for the LEGO design team has just leveled up as well.

As seen on Planet Happy’s website, we can expect three new LEGO Minecraft 2021 sets to be released, with two of these now seen online with their respective product images and descriptions. Do take note that the following descriptions were roughly translated from Google, and may not completely reflect LEGO’s official product info. I’ll keep you posted once these sets make their debut at LEGO Shop@Home.

Thanks to Brickset for the heads up.

ICYMI: New LEGO Minecraft The Redstone Battle (21163) Now Listed Via Amazon UK

This piece of news seemed to have fallen off from my radar. And In case you missed it as well, Amazon UK has now listed a new LEGO Minecraft set slated for release this summer. The LEGO Minecraft The Redstone Battle (21163) comes in at 504 pieces and is expected to retail for 54.99 Euro or roughly 60 USD. LEGO Minecraft Redstone Battle (21163)

The LEGO Minecraft The Redstone Battle (21163) is also the first among LEGO’s summer releases under the Minecraft theme which expected to arrive in June or the later.  As of this posting, Amazon UK has temporarily stopped receiving pre-orders for this set until further notice. For the rest of the LEGO Minecraft sets released for the first half of this year, you may want to visit LEGO Shop@Home for more details.

A Glimpse At Some of the 2020 LEGO Licensed Sets Revealed at the Nuremberg Toy Fair

More 2020 LEGO licensed sets such as those from the Marvel, Star Wars and Minecraft franchises are on its way this summer. However, LEGO is still strictly putting a lid on most of them at the Nuremberg Toy except for some that visitors are allowed to see.

LEGO Star Wars 2020

As always, upcoming LEGO Star Wars are one of the most tightly guarded licensed themes and only the LEGO Star Wars 2020 Advent Calendar (75279) was revealed during the toy fair, and it is expected to be released sometime in September retailing for €29.99.

LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2020

Only one LEGO Marvel set was allowed to be seen and this is the first one under the theme. The LEGO Marvel Iron Man Bust (76165) is reported to be also bear the 18+ tag similar to the LEGO Architecture The White House (21054). It is expected to retail for €59.99 with an early release in May. I assume that this will be based on MCU’s version of Iron Man, and will somehow larger in scale as compared to the LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader Bust (75227) which was exclusively released during the Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, and at Target stores.

75227 1
It is most likely that the LEGO Marvel Iron Man Bust will be similar in scale as that of the LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader Bust (75227).
LEGO Minecraft 2020

There will be the LEGO Minecraft Crafting 3.0 (21161) that will be released as the newer version of those that were released in 2014 (set21116) and 2017 (set 21135). It was also mentioned that a LEGO Minecraft Red Stone Battle (21163) set is also in the brick pipelines. There were no other set details that were revealed about these sets and that’s quite a bummer for fans of the LEGO Minecraft theme.

21135 1
Another version the LEGO Minecraft Crafting Box will be released sometime in summer. The image above is from the LEGO Minecraft Crafting Box 2.0 (21135).

I am more interested in how that LEGO Marvel Iron Man Bust (76165) will turn out. Being larger as compared to other LEGO busts, I expect greater detail and more realistic design on his helmet and armor especially if it will accommodate the power core on his chest. It’s a fitting tribute to the legacy of Robert Downey Jr’s version of Iron Man as the whole MCU basically started with him. And having a release date this upcoming May will sure to see some official images pop-up anytime soon.

So what do you think about the rest of the sets 2020 LEGO licensed sets that were not exhibited at the toy fair? Are you impressed about them? Let me know in the comments below.

Thanks again to Zusammengebaut for this info.

First Images of LEGO Minecraft 2020 Sets Surface

After more and more LEGO sets are gradually revealed by other online retailers in time for LEGO’s 2020 releases for the first half of the year, we now have further info on what to expect from the LEGO Minecraft 2020 sets. Though the entire Minecraft franchise has taken a dip in terms of its popularity among young gamers, LEGO seems to have plenty of plans ahead for its tie-in merchandise.

Joining other LEGO Minecraft ‘BigFig’ sets from early this year, LEGO now introduces two additional sets under this format – the LEGO Minecraft Creeper with Ocelot (21156) and Pig with Zombie Baby (21157) – both of which are tagged as part of Series 2 under this subtheme. If everything goes well, then perhaps we can expect more sets coming from this direction.

We also have additional sets that offer a handful of new elements and characters. That buildable LEGO Minecraft Panda from set 21158 is definitely adorable, plus the new minifigure renditions of those nasty Illager mobs with their crossbow-wielding Pillagers and devastating Ravagers as depicted in set 21160, are probably good reasons for some to get these new LEGO Minecraft 2020 sets.

Same with the rest of the new-for-2020 licensed LEGO sets such as those coming from the Star Wars, Trolls, Disney Princess and Marvel themes, these new LEGO Minecraft 2020 sets are slated to be released on January 1st. Read on to know more about their piece count and price in Euros, and I will update this post once additional images are made available by LEGO from LEGO Shop@Home. Thanks to Promobricks for the heads up.
