Neat LEGO Star Wars Promo Video and LEGO Vidiyoland Teaser Released!

Given the epic grand entrance of the LEGO Star Wars UCS AT-AT (75313), a pretty cool LEGO Star Wars promo video is expected. LEGO certainly did not disappoint with their ad for the set, posted on their official Twitter account. Viewers are treated to a minute of superb visual storytelling with lots of Star Wars shout-outs. It starts innocently with a guy walking out of a London LEGO Shop, UCS AT-AT in his arms. Then we hear the actual AT-AT sounds as he walks. He sees a car with a Millennium Falcon license plate, then Princess Leia. The rest of the shout-outs are seen in the eyes of the audience.

While looking at that this latest LEGO Star Wars promo video, we also stumbled upon this interesting new video. It features Vidiyo, the hybrid minifigure-AR music video theme launched just this year. While an exciting bop during its introduction, sales-wise LEGO Vidiyo was a bust. It wasn’t surprising when LEGO announced that no new Vidiyo products were coming next year. They apparently plan to revamp the theme for a 2023 soft re-launch. So what is this LEGO Twitter teaser video trying to tell us?

Judging from the animation style reminiscent of “Animal Crossing,” “LEGO Vidiyoland” could possibly be a new animated series. Of course, that’s only our opinion based on a 15-second video. Don’t take our word for it and probably just wait for LEGO to elaborate on this. Unless…the character design is less “Animal Crossing”-like and more an actual “Animal Crossing” crossover, now that would be surprisingly exciting.

LEGO Star Wars Luke Skywalker’s Lightsaber (40483) Is Our Next Promotional Set

We just got through with featuring LEGO’s official reveal of its UCS AT-AT (75313). Such an epic set usually comes with a bonus, as has been the fashion with big releases from LEGO lately. And indeed, when LEGO announced Star Wars UCS 75313 this past November 9, it was accompanied by a teaser image. Said image is definitely the next LEGO Star Wars GWP. Despite just being one picture, it’s enough of a clue as to what to expect. Because in the next few weeks, we’ll be treated to another gift-with-purchase set in the form of the LEGO Star Wars Luke Skywalker’s Lightsaber (40483).

65941 40483

Brickset gives us this one good look at LEGO Star Wars Luke Skywalker’s Lightsaber (40483). Although not outright specified when revealed, this is most likely a promotional GWP set. It follows the likes of a similar promotional item back in 2020 in the form of Yoda’s Lightsaber (6346098). As of this press time, the only other place mentioning Luke’s Lightsaber set is LEGO’s Customer Service Building Instructions page via LEGO.com. Even then, its entry only has the above photo and release year, which isn’t much.

Interestingly, one of the earlier UCS AT-AT-related rumors mentioned a GWP set numbered 40484. The rumor alleges it to be a micro Star Destroyer. Whether it was a mistake, or if a 40484 will follow Luke’s Lightsaber (40483), we’ll just have to wait. LEGO will spill the details eventually.

LEGO Star Wars UCS AT-AT (75313) Makes a Grand Debut!

Advanced knowledge of upcoming LEGO sets can be a double-edged sword. On the plus side, you can start saving up early if it’s a set you want. On the minus side, the waiting gets really tedious. Furthermore, the transition from rumor to possible leak prior to an official LEGO reveal could make or break anticipation. That goes double for major releases like a new LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series (UCS). Word of a LEGO Star Wars UCS AT-AT Walker (75313) has been one of the biggest buzzes over the past weeks. Following a leaked reveal date, we now have final confirmation.

With LEGO listing this iconic brick-built Imperial Mammoth, the LEGO Star Wars UCS AT-AT (75313) is expected to arrive in November. Now let us bask in the glory of this set before its official launch date. Check out the official product description below and its glorious pictures.

WATCH: This Stop-Motion Video Showcases the Latest LEGO Star Wars Sets

It’s well-known that LEGO, with the freedom of building their products provide, gets plenty of mileage from fan contributions. The most prominent venue of this is LEGO Ideas. Their website invites submissions to fun activities, prize-winning content and the chance to make their custom builds into official sets. Outside that, LEGO has been known to invite popular builders to join their design teams. They’ve also engaged LEGO media-makers like animators (3D or stop-motion) to do commissioned production work. This particular avenue just gave YouTube LEGO animator Forrest “forrestfire101” Whaley a big break. Here’s his new animated video featuring all the latest LEGO Star Wars sets around.

As Brick Fanatics tells it, the LEGO Group tapped forrestfire101 to do a stop-animation promo vid to highlight their latest sets. His output, featured on his YouTube channel, features some choice recent-release LEGO Star Wars sets. The setting is the Mos Espa racetrack from “The Phantom Menace.” As for the competitors:

The race starts out similar to the Podrace sequence from “Phantom Menace,” then escalates as only LEGO can. Whaley’s stop-motion visuals make this minute-and-a-half video a non-stop LEGO Star Wars extravaganza. And you might have an idea which of the racers wins. All in all, this is a fun promo vid commissioned by LEGO, one that would excite LEGO Star Wars collectors.

Long-Rumored LEGO Star Wars UCS AT-AT Gets Possible Reveal Date

Some LEGO rumors get confirmed or debunked in a matter of days or weeks. Other times it takes up to a month or more before the truth comes out. The former case just happened with the LEGO Disney “Encanto” sets, first hinted late October and revealed over a week later. In the latter case we look to this rumor since September of a new LEGO Star Wars AT-AT UCS-grade set. This one feels more nebulous considering LEGO did release a new AT-AT set just this past 2020. But the rumor claims the UCS AT-AT might be revealed sometime this November.

And chalk up another one to Brick Fanatics for catching this new rumor on the aforementioned alleged set. They point to lego_club_news on Instagram for putting a specific date this month for a possible UCS AT-AT reveal. There is a possibility that LEGO might finally say something about that Tuesday next week, November 9. If true, then this LEGO Star Wars UCS set will out-price the LEGO Titanic at $800 ($799.99?). Other tidbits relating to this rumor include the possible set number (75313?) and piece number (6,782?). A UCS Imperial AT-AT will definitely tower over standard minifigure-size Stormtroopers, for sure.

Our standard spiel regarding rumors on The Brick Show goes here. Take the above with a grain of salt until LEGO themselves give the official word. It’s not as if we’ll have long to wait for any possible confirmation, anyway.

UK Game Retailer Doing Early Preorder Fulfillment of “LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga”?

To say that the “LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga” videogame is one highly-anticipated title is an absolute understatement. WB Interactive and TT Games have been hard at work with this since teasing the title back in 2019. The pandemic caused its release to be delayed. Scammers even tried to exploit the hype bandwagon. Gamers, starved for any info, jumped on the brief display of the game’s file size on Xbox Store. And even legit retailers are so pumped with anticipation that they’re charging their customers’ preorders way too early. Considering the release is next year, they might have erred.

According to Brick Fanatics, UK-based retailer GAME has commenced fulfillment procedures for preorders of “LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.” Customers in the UK who preordered at GAME received billing emails for the title. These notices also indicated that their copies of “Skywalker Saga” were already packed for delivery. Anybody who has been following up on “Skywalker Saga” knows that’s just bunk. This LEGO game at best only has an estimated release window of “early 2022.” Why did GAME suddenly move to fulfill its preorders? Perhaps the retailer’s systems got glitches, if the emailed notices were auto-generated. It would be even more embarrassing if GAME’s premature fulfillments were human errors.

“LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga” adapts all “Star Wars” trilogies in the most massive entry of this game series. It will release multi-platform on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S, the Nintendo Switch, and Microsoft Windows. So far, retailer GAME has not released any explanation for their early preorder fulfillment notices.

“LEGO Star Wars Castaways” Announced for Apple Arcade this November

When it comes to adapting the LEGO Star Wars theme into gaming, one can expect plenty of possible genres. Always to the forefront would be the adventure-driven videogames developed by TT Games and published by WB Interactive. Fans have also gotten quirky titles like the RTS/defense-oriented “LEGO Star Wars Battles”. This particular title launched recently on Apple Arcade after a rough start as a standalone mobile app. Now, Apple Arcade is gearing up to introduce a new LEGO Star Wars game. How do you feel about “LEGO Star Wars” meets reality show “Survivor” minus the shifting alliances and cutthroat interactions?

That seems to be the promise of “LEGO Star Wars Castaways,” another addition to Apple Arcade. StarWars.com tells us that this Gamesloft title will see players as people from all over the “Star Wars” Galaxy, stranded on a mysterious planet. They can customize their minifigure avatar and interact with fellow “castaway” players in various activities.

Fancy a dance party or a buildable Microfighter race? Cool! Castaways can also explore the planet, unlocking secrets of an ancient civilization with ties to the “Star Wars” mythos. What mysteries about the Galaxy does this planet hide?

“LEGO Star Wars Castaways” will go live exclusively on Apple Arcade next month, November 19. Players must have an active Apple Arcade account and pay a $4.99 monthly subscription. They do have the option of a 1-month free trial. Apple Arcade is available on iPhone, iPad, iMac, and Apple TV.

“LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga” File Size Spoiled by Xbox Store?

“LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga” is the most ambitious LEGO Star Wars videogame ever. How else would you describe a game combining three movie trilogies (plus “Clone Wars”) in one package? The game worlds seemed big enough in the first two games in 2005 and 2006 (adapting the Prequels then the Original). The year 2007 brought a “LEGO Star Wars Complete Saga” combining the previous ones. But Traveller’s Tales and WB Interactive have gone for broke with “Skywalker Saga,” considering the content from nine films and a massive animated spinoff. Somebody on social media just discovered just how big.

Brick Fanatics reports Twitter’s “Freakishly Geek” (@freakgeek_yt) saw data for the Xbox version of “LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.” On the Xbox Store, the file size for the game apparently came to a massive 52.16 GB. @freakgeek_yt notes that the game data was for Xbox Series (“Skywalker Saga” also has an Xbox One version). He later updated his tweet, dated October 13, showing that the Xbox Store has erased the file size. It’s now blank along with Release Date. For comparison, the now-cancelled “LEGO Dimensions” videogame, featuring multi-IP crossover characters, only measured 16.13 GB. To coin a very old meme, “Skywalker Saga” is “XBOXHUEG.”

WB Interactive and TT famously delayed the release of “LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga” from late 2020 to 2022. They claimed improvements to the game experience as one reason. That was no idle boast when one looks at its recent trailers. What is curious is Xbox Store abruptly removing the file size from its title data. Were they trying to keep it under wraps, or was 50+ GB a mistake. Hopefully we won’t have to wait until early next year when “Skywalker Saga” releases. Ah, and no file size info was reported for the other major game console versions.

Biggest List of Rumored LEGO Star Wars Sets for 2022 Yet

LEGO Star Wars speculations for 2022: Thus far, these rumors have been coming at us in bits and pieces. We “know” from these rumors that LEGO wants to shine the spotlight on “The Empire Strikes Back.” That would explain at least two Battle of Hoth sets following the similarly-unconfirmed Hoth AT-AT supposedly coming in November. A recent rumor scoop by German LEGO news source Promobricks.de looks to tie the disparate speculations together. Aside from Original Trilogy Episode II, we have tie-ins to the Disney+ “Star Wars” series too. Check out this quick list of alleged LEGO Star Wars products due to release sometime next year.

January
  • Hoth Battle Pack (75320) – 105 pieces, 4 minifigures | €19.99/$23.12
  • Razor Crest Microfighter (75321) – 98 pieces | €9.99/$11.55
  • Hoth AT-ST (75322) – 586 pieces | €49.99/$57.82
  • Luke’s Landspeeder (75341) – 105 pieces | €199.99/231.32
March
  • Dark Trooper Battle Pack (75324) – 166 pieces, 4 minifigures | €29.99/$34.69
  • Boba Fett’s Palace (75326) – 732 pieces | €99.99/$115.65
  • Luke Skywalker Helmet (75327) – 676 pieces | €59.99/$69.39
  • The Mandalorian Helmet (75328) – 584 pieces | €59.99/$69.39
May
  • Death Star Garbage Compactor (75329) – 666 pieces | €59.99/$69.39
  • Yoda’s Training (75330) – 1,002 pieces | €79.99/92.52
June
  • The Book of Boba Fett (75325) – €69.99/$80.95

The US$ prices are direct conversions.

Further speculation pegs the May releases (75329, 75330) as “LEGO for Adults” sets. Much like the Darth Vader Meditation Chamber (75296), these sets will depict key scenes from the “Star Wars” films complete with iconic dialogue on a display tile. Do note that the above set list is an enumeration of rumors. Don’t take them as fact until LEGO confirms their existence; still an impressive collection for LEGO Star Wars.

New LEGO Star Wars Rumor for 2022: “The Mandalorian” Dark Trooper Battle Pack with Luke Skywalker

More LEGO rumors to check out, this time for the Star Wars line: yet another Battle Pack for 2022. That’s the gist of another Instagram post noticed by The Brick Fan this week. Last month we discussed LEGO Star Wars rumors about sets centered on the Battle of Hoth (“Empire Strikes Back”). Aside from new AT-AT (75313?) and AT-ST (75322?) sets, that batch of unconfirmed info included a minifig Battle Pack (75320?). This new rumor from Falcon Fan 1414 (1414falconfan) brings the focus to “The Mandalorian” on Disney+ instead. You probably have an idea what the pack will likely depict.

Stated above by 1414falconfan, the LEGO Star Wars Battle Pack homages “The Mandalorian” season 2. This alleged Dark Trooper Battle Pack will contain three Imperial Remnant Dark Trooper minifigures. And yes, it also includes Luke Skywalker. You may replay that scene from the season 2 finale now. 1414falconfan claims the Battle Pack set number is 75324(?) and will cost $29.99 on retail. Numbering-wise it jives with the numbers from the Hoth sets from September. But you know how it goes: this tidbit is a rumor so keep a salt shaker in arm’s reach. The year 2022 is still fan enough.
