We’re still feeling the hype with Tyler and Amy being awarded as the first-ever US LEGO Masters, and it looks like FOX is now gearing up for season 2. Yes, you heard it right – LEGO Masters US Season 2 is happening, and with it, a casting call has been announced once again via a dedicated website.
Same as before the launch of the first season of the show, would-be LEGO Masters will need to register online by filling in details (and a lot of it actually) about themselves including other relevant info that highlights their love for the LEGO brick.
You can either register by pair or solo (though the former is more desirable) and be sure to have images of your or your partner available, including five of your best ORIGINAL LEGO builds or MOCs. Be sure to also have a 1-minute video that describes what you love so much about building with LEGO and why you or your team should be considered as the next LEGO Masters. There is no particular deadline that was mentioned as of this posting, but its always better to be prompt with auditions such as this.
Couple Tyler and Amy Clites being awarded as the first-ever US LEGO Masters.
I just hope that similar to what Season 2 of LEGO Masters Australia has to offer which is already airing, by the way, LEGO Masters US Season 2 will represent a more diverse selection of contestants from the LEGO fan community.
So what do you think? Do you have the passion, skills, and creativity to become the next US LEGO Masters? Be sure to register and let us know what you think.
LEGO MASTERS is produced by Endemol Shine North America and
Tuesdayʼs Child under license from The LEGO Group, for The LEGO Group. It is aired via FOX TV in collaboration with Plan B Entertainment Holdings.
Season 1 of LEGO Masters US may already be over, but it seems that Australian fans of the LEGO-inspired reality show will now see more of Hamish Blake and seasoned LEGO Certified Professional Ryan ‘The BrickMan‘ McNaught as LEGO Masters Australia Season 2 kicks off today.
The highly successful collaboration between Tuesday’s Child Productions and the LEGO Group saw a huge audience viewership of more than 1.3 million all over Australia – prompting both companies to bet another season for the show. Here’s a look at this batch of LEGO Masters Australia Season 2 contestants, all vying for that sweet $100,000 prize and title to become the country’s next pair of LEGO Masters.

Here’s a video that introduces our eight pairs of LEGO Masters hopefuls. What strikes me the most is that unlike our initial batch of contestants from the first season of the show, Season 2’s contestants seem to be more diverse, representing a larger portion of the LEGO fan community. One of the criticisms that were thrown over at the show during its first season is its seemingly “unbalanced” roster of contestants, consisting of professional LEGO builders as well. I’m not familiar with this next wave of contestants but based on their video interviews, I can fairly say that they represent a much better section of the larger LEGO fan community.
The first episode of LEGO Masters Australia Season 2 will air on Nine today, April 19, at 7:00 PM (AEST).
The first season of LEGO Masters US has concluded, with three teams: Tyler & Amy, Mark & Boone, and Sam & Jessica giving all they have in their final builds, and bid, to become the country’s ultimate LEGO Masters.
The journey to win the title was a long and daunting one, with ten teams from the LEGO fan community all vying for that prestigious title, one-of-a-kind brick trophy, and an impressive $100,000 prize money. And this time around, the final episode sees three teams pushing those LEGO bricks on what could be the most challenging 24 hours of their lives.
In this final challenge, the task at hand is for the pairs to create anything that they can think of that will represent their most creative work during the season. For Mark & Boone, the challenge was to create Artopia, where they envision a community of artistic LEGO minifigs coming together to celebrate their talents in spite of being in a post-apocalyptic era.
Sam & Jessica’s final build shows a playful representation of The Peacock and the Monkey that combines both of their creative talents in a fun and unique way. Needless to say, this is the greatest entry that they have conceived throughout their entire stint in the contest in spite of all the ups and downs that they’ve been through.
And finally, Team Tyler & Amy wowed the judges with their final build, the Treasure of the Griffin. Not just master builders themselves, the couple has also perfected the art of brick storytelling in their final entry. Other than the superb aesthetic and technical aspects of their builds, the story itself, I feel, represents their instinctive desire as soon-to-be parents to provide a loving and protective environment for their family.
Needless to say, this is the most difficult episode for judges Jamie Berard and Amy Corbett. And though there were episodes that I would find myself passionately disagreeing with them, I feel that they were at the top of their game as fair, and discerning judges during this final episode. They managed to provide constructive feedback that the finalists willingly considered, while being unbiased and objective.
Though I loved the team dynamics between Sam and Jessica, I always felt that among the three, they will most likely end up in third place leaving the teams of Tyler & Amy and Mark & Boone competing for the grand prize. And in the end, though it is a difficult and nerve-wracking task, Jamie and Amy gave their decision and awarded the ultimate LEGO US LEGO Masters title to Tyler & Amy. The expectant couple eventually received an awesome LEGO trophy plus a $100,000 cash award that will certainly be put into good use as they prepare for the arrival of their little bundle of joy.

Congratulations Tyler & Amy and surely, it’s a brick journey that your child will very, very proud of. I can just imagine him cheering for his mom and dad. For more of Tyler & Amy’s LEGO creations you want to check out Tyler’s Flickr page where they render in microscale all of their entries throughout the show’s seasons. Tyler is also helping out making our stay-at-home more fun through his latest videos entitled Quarantine Creations so you may want to check it out as well. Again, congratulations to both Tyler and Amy, and all of the LEGO Masters US contestants!
If you recall back in July of last year, LEGO launched a building contest to celebrate the release of its Netflix tie-in set the LEGO Stranger Things The Upside Down (75810). Entries were submitted then, and of course, what roster of winners will be there without the titular and monstrous custom LEGO Stranger Things Demogorgon. Thanks to Build Better Bricks, we now have an opportunity to build a brick version of this monstrous creature from the depths of the other world.
Designed by Aaron Newman from LEGO Masters US, this custom LEGO Stranger Things Demogorgon comes in 350 pieces and features a moveable head and mouth and plenty of points of articulation allowing for a more dynamic, and fluid movement. Though this model is not exactly the same as that of the runner-up winner from the contest that I mentioned earlier, I prefer the more detailed features of this creation by Aaron.
If you want to relive those edge-of-your-seat moments in Stranger Things using LEGO bricks, I guess now is the best time to do so especially most of us are staying at home. You may head over to Build Better Bricks to purchase the building instructions for this custom LEGO Stranger Things Demogorgon. Your purchase will include a 135-page building guide in rich, PDF format, a parts list, and a Stud.io file for easy importing of the parts needed via Bricklink.
Additionally, you may want to take advantage of B3’s storewide sale where you can get 1 free building instructions for every 2 instructions purchased. You may want to pair-up your custom LEGO Demogorgon, say with a mean-looking custom LEGO Werewolf, or a brick-built Frankenstein to complete your monster trio.
So what will you be building today? Stay safe and keep on building!
LEGO is lately in the habit of giving out welcomed surprises. After the unexpected reveal of the LEGO Super Mario theme, we now have another one to the delight of LEGO Star Wars fans. LEGO Shop@Home has been recently updated to include a long-overdue LEGO Star Wars 501st Legion Clone Troopers (75280) building set, straight from the Clone Wars era.
As pointed out by StarWars.com, this latest offering pays tribute to that elite unit during the Clone Wars that LEGO fans of the series have long clamored for. There is no other info mentioned by LEGO over its online shopping portal, save for the fact that it comes at 285 pieces and will retail for $29.99 once it is officially available on August 1. The set also includes:
The AT-RT Walker, with a new color scheme, posable legs, a stud shooter, attachment points for a blaster and electrobinoculars element
The BARC Speeder, featuring two stud shooters
Four LEGO minifigures: Three 501st Clone Troopers and a 501st Jet Trooper, plus two Battle Droid LEGO action figures.
I hope to see additional images of this set, including box art images, for the next few weeks or once the initial wave of new LEGO sets for the 2nd half of the year is gradually revealed. In the meantime, be sure to add this set to your LEGO wishlist by visiting LEGO Shop@Home.
Is this the beginning of more LEGO Star Wars reveals later on? What do you think of the LEGO Star Wars 501st Legion Clone Troopers (75280)? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
Fans of this NBC classic TV show will surely want to see this AI-powered car rendered into LEGO bricks. The LEGO Ideas Knight Rider – KITT is our next qualifier for this year’s LEGO Ideas First Review Stage, and it’s a cool way of celebrating the 80s show that most of us grew up with.
Designed by LEGO fan builder Jimmi-DK, the LEGO Ideas Knight Rider – KITT (or short for Knight Industries Two Thousand) consists of 883 pieces and is the 13th entry to qualify for the First 2020 LEGO Ideas Review Stage. It measures more than 13 inches in length and comes very close to the LEGO Creator Expert Ford Mustang (10265) in terms of its physical dimensions.
In fact, this is not the first time that LEGO will be coming up with a Knight Rider inspired set. If you recall, the now discontinued LEGO Dimensions theme also offered a Knight Rider Fun Pack (71286) as a way of expanding its toys-to-life ensemble in 2017. However, the mini builds that go with these Fun Packs are a far cry in terms of accurately portraying their real-life counterparts. Hopefully having a LEGO Ideas Knight Rider set will fill in that gap that LEGO fans of the TV show would like to see.
In case you’re not familiar with the classic TV series that inspired this qualifying entry, NBC’s Knight Rider first aired back in 1982, with David Hasselhoff’s starring in his breakout role as an LA police officer. He played the role of a cop that is out for justice against those that are otherwise considered above the law. He is helped in his mission by an AI-powered supercar sidekick in the form of KITT. Think of Siri or Alexa on wheels and you’ll get the point. The car itself is based on a modified 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am model, hence the sleek curves on this brick design. I can just imagine how gorgeous it will look in black LEGO pieces if perchance the LEGO Ideas design team works their LEGO magic on this product idea.
Here’s what Jimmi-DK has to say about his entry. The LEGO Ideas Knight Rider – KITT joins The Great Fishing Boat together with eleven more qualifiers to enter the First 2020 LEGO Ideas Review Stage which will be concluded very soon.
As a kid in the 80s, I was, and still am, a huge fan of the TV series Knight Rider. I had a big poster on the wall with KITT and Michael Knight. The idea of having this cool looking self-aware car, that could drive itself, talk and jump over obstacles was very fascinating. KITT, which stands for Knight Industries Two Thousand, was a modified 1982 Pontiac Trans Am.
With this LEGO model, I have tried to capture the shape of the car and various details, such as the seats and other interiors.

LEGO servers have been updated recently to include additional official images of the upcoming LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian sets including the Razor Crest (75292) and a BrickHeadz mashup of The Mandalorian and the Child (75317). If you recall, they were first unveiled by LEGO just in time for the annual New York Toy Fair held last month.
Aside from the fact that we need to wait a good five months for these sets to be released, we still need to wait a bit more before the second season of the highly popular Disney+ series, The Mandalorian, starts streaming in October. In the meantime, you can already pre-order both of these new LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian sets, with the Razor Crest retailing for $129.99 and the series’ BrickHeadz counterpart for $19.99. If you wish to be one of the very first LEGO fans to see these sets at your doorway come in August, then be sure to check out the following images below, and visit these LEGO Shop@Home links below. LEGO is slowly revealing some of its new sets ahead of this year’s New York Toy Fair which will commence this weekend – and it looks like the Mandalorian and the Child (aka Baby Yoda) is getting an additional LEGO treatment. LEGO Shop@Home has now listed two new LEGO Star Wars the Mandalorian sets, including an earlier revealed BrickHeadz set dedicated to the duo.
Earlier this week, we saw the unintentional listing of Amazon Canada for a LEGO Star Wars BrickHeadz The Mandalorian and the Child (75317), and this time around, LEGO finally confirms this as another entry in the growing number of BrickHeadz sets under the Star Wars theme.
Additionally, in a rather surprisingly welcomed move from LEGO, we can now expect a full LEGO set dedicated to the highly-rated Disney+ series – that includes the official LEGO Baby Yoda minifigure! The LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest (75292) is slated to be released in September – just a month early before Season 2 of The Mandalorian series streams on Disney+. For most LEGO fans of the miniseries, the obvious selling point will be the inclusion of the much-hyped Baby Yoda minifig. Strictly speaking, Disney execs and writers are quick to point out that “The Child” is not in any way the toddler representation of the Master Jedi himself, but since fans were so adamant in referring to it as such, then Disney somehow let it slide.
The LEGO Star Wars BrickHeadz The Mandalorian and the Child (75317) comes in at 295 pieces and will retail for $19.99 once it is released on August 1. The LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest (75292) clocks in at 1,023 pieces with a retail price of $129.99, slated to be released on September 1.

While we’re waiting excitingly for Episode 3 of LEGO Masters US to air tonight, let’s go back and see some of the highlights of last week’s episode. Though it’s the reality show’s first high-stake chapter where we see our first heart-breaking eliminations – sadly, it was Jessie and Kara who have turned in their minifig avatars – we also saw some of the most epic Space Smash creations that LEGO Masters US Episode 2 can bring.
Episode 2 brought a smashing challenge to our 10 pairs of LEGO Masters where they are tasked to create an epic alien-inspired build that will be obliterated in the most magnificent fashion. Check out the final entries of our brick contenders. All images are courtesy of Fox.

Victory smiled favorably on the newlyweds, Tyler and Amy, with their gorgeous, brick storytelling of “The Sacrifice”. Their story is straightforward but emotionally compelling both on visual and conceptual levels. The Hero, in order to permanently stop the scourge of the alien monster, offered his life by dropping a canister bomb that destroys the alien and himself in the process. The story’s dramatic tone was felt even more striking when Tyler and Amy rendered the Hero’s Sacrifice in the most spectacular way using an ingenious combination of LEGO bricks and good ‘ol gravity.
Thanks to our Hero’s sacrifice, Tyler & Amy were handsomely rewarded, with the couple dominating LEGO Masters US Episode 2.
I love how the organic shape of the monster alien turned out, with its over-sized eye and menacing tentacles, in contrast to our Hero’s mech-inspired build. But of course, it was the way the build exploded when LEGO Masters US host Will Arnett dropped it from the balcony that surely impressed contest judges Jamie Berard and Amy Corbett. “The Sacrifice” secured Tyler & Amy in the first place for this episode, while Sam & Jessica and Jessie & Kara dragged behind the rankings. Sadly, Jessie & Kara were struggling to put everything together with their Alien Attack build and was eventually the first pair to be eliminated from the competition.
As a tribute to the brick Hero of LEGO Masters US Episode 2, Tyler created a miniaturized version of this story that retells the triumph of selfless space defender.
In case you missed it, Tyler & Amy also stood out in the show’s pilot episode with their Funny Farm theme park MOC. You may also want to see Tyler’s mini build version of this.
Remember to tune in tonight at Fox for the third episode of LEGO Masters US 9/8c. Tonight’s challenge will be “Cut in Half” where our now 9 pairs of brick masters will have to build the missing half of any random objects in the most spectacular LEGO fashion.

This is one LEGO BrickHeadz that will take LEGO Star Wars fandom by storm. Promobricks managed to capture this now-deleted post from Amazon Canada that shows the latter listing a LEGO BrickHeadz Star Wars The Mandalorian and the Child (75317) set, together with a glimpse of what to expect from it.
The listing was obviously a bit early since someone from Amazon has to do some damage control. I assume that this set will be officially unveiled sometime during this weekend’s New York Toy Fair, but I guess Amazon got a bit excited so… Well, who wouldn’t especially now that the Child (aka Baby Yoda) now has an official LEGO set just in time to level up the hype for Season 2 of The Mandalorian which will arrive in Disney+ in October. This newest callback to the Star Wars spin-off series is the third set offered under the LEGO Star Wars The Mandalorian subtheme, following the AT-ST Raider (75254) and the Mandalorian Battle Pack (75267).
The LEGO BrickHeadz Star Wars The Mandalorian and the Child (75317) comes in at 295 pieces and will likely retail somewhere between 20 or 25 Euro, with a release date of August 1. Check out the product description below.
