Since its reveal last month, the new LEGO Brick Sketches theme received a lot of mixed reactions from the LEGO fan community. Expected to be geared towards older fans of LEGO (though the product description suggests that it is also offered to 8 years and above), the LEGO Brick Sketches sets allow some room for creative expression, rather than being desired for its virtually lacking play feature.
Nevertheless, these sets are now listed at LEGO Shop@Home for those who are interested. The LEGO Brick Sketches theme currently offers four licensed variants coming from the DC and Star Wars themes: Batman, The Joker, a First Order Stormtrooper, and BB-8. Designed by avid LEGO MOC builder turned LEGO designer Chris McVeigh, these brick portraits are built on a 12×16 baseplate that also comes with a sturdy, built-in hook that you can use to either hang the portrait on a wall or as a stand for tabletop displays.
These sets are slated to be available for purchase starting July 15. You may click on the following affiliate links if you want them added to your LEGO wishlist over at LEGO’s online shopping portal.
With so many LEGO reveals during the past few days, I have to admit that this particular set fell off from my radar. All digital versions of the various regional LEGO catalogs were already released, and as you may already know, these catalogs have subtle differences that are a bit easy to miss. However, for the eagle-eyed LEGO fan, these differences in content offer a trove of reveals as well. The German version of the catalog for example, now reveals a new LEGO Marvel Avengers set that many of you might be interested in. And thanks to Promobricks, we now have a closer look at the LEGO Marvel Avengers Iron Man Armory (76167).
If you already saw the German version of the LEGO Catalog for 2H 2020, you might have seen this portion already.
It’s kind of easy to miss because of the relatively small space that LEGO allotted for this set. However, Promobricks has now published a number of official images that allows for a better appreciation of what this set has to offer.
Scheduled to arrive in August, the LEGO Marvel Avengers Iron Man Armory (76167) comes in at 258 pieces and is expected to retail for 29.99€. And if you’re familiar with last year’s LEGO Marvel Avengers Iron Man Hall of Armor (76125), you’ll quickly notice that the former may be attached to the latter as a sort of expansion set. The best part is, the Iron Man Armory also includes a ‘garage’ minifigure version of Tony Stark himself without donning any of his armors. It gives a more display-worthy vibe for these sets when combined.
Other than this new workshop version of Tony, the set also comes with a new Iron Man armor very similar to the Mark L minifigure with its nano-based tech. We also have our first minifig version of the Mark II Prototype Iron Man armor, plus two A.I.M. Agents.
The LEGO Marvel Avengers Iron Man Armory (76167) also includes a hot rod build which is in front and center of this set, reflecting Tony’s penchant with automobiles whenever he is not tinkering around with his set of armors. The Iron Man Armory (76167) is not listed as of this posting over at LEGO Shop@Home, but with a release date of August, we can expect that more info to come by next month.
After announcing their awesome giveaway the day before, the LEGO Ideas Team led by Hasan Jensen and Samuel Johnson has just announced the victors of the LEGO Ideas Third 2019 Review Results. Out of 12 qualifiers, it turns out that we can now expect three additional LEGO Ideas sets added to the theme’s roster. Check out the video of their highly anticipated announcement.
A huge congratulations to the following LEGO product ideas for making it to this elite circle:
Home Alone. McCallister’s House by Alex Storozhuk (aka adwind)
Home Alone – is a 1990 Christmas movie… Come on, you guys all know what Home Alone is! Let’s talk about what this movie has become to thousands of us around the globe. To our family Home Alone is a Christmas tradition, symbol, and very warm memories of childhood! So in this project, I and my wife Nadya tried to put as much love and details as we could!
This set consists of 3000 pieces. McCallister’s house has 2 floors full of furniture and stuff from the movie and of course, it features a mansard. There is a small tree house outside with a rope that links it with the main structure to help Kevin escape.
The main roof and kitchen roof are removable and also the house itself is openable to let you recreate scenes and make your own stories!
Here you may see the main hall, kitchen and dining area, brick-built stairs, mom and dad bedroom, Buzz room, 2 bathrooms, storeroom.
I have designed and built this replica typewriter, that has a working hand-cranked mechanism. I originally developed the idea whilst I was on the Legomasters TV show in the UK. Since then I have continued to refine the design, making a hand-cranked mechanism instead of a power functions motor that I had originally fitted. I have also had the keys printed up with letters. I believe this would make a fun and unique lego ideas project. I think it showcases the versatility of the Lego brick and would look amazing on any Lego fans desk, at home or even in the office at work!
I hope to add more updates, showing my ideas for the packaging, and giving details on how I developed the working mechanism.
I’m dedicating the idea to my wife Rachael, who is my best friend and an amazing support to me, she always believes in me and is an amazing encouragement to me in everything I do. I would love to be able to walk into a Lego shop with Rachael and my children Daisy and Obby, and see my design on the shelves 🙂
Seinfeld 30th Anniversary by Brent Waller (aka BrentWaller)
This LEGO Ideas project celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the beloved classic 90s comedy sitcom with an accurate recreation of Jerry’s Upper West Side Manhattan apartment using approximately 900 LEGO Pieces.
It also includes 5 minifigures including Comedian and shows namesake, Jerry Seinfeld, neurotic best friend George Costanza, friend Elaine Benes, eccentric but kind-hearted neighbor Cosmo Kramer and Jerry’s arch-nemesis, mailman and neighbor known only as “Newman”.
Though I have to say that I was a bit surprised that the either the Winter Chalet or the Legend of Zelda product ideas did not make it to the cut, I am still happy for the fan designers behind these winning projects. The LEGO Ideas Typewriter is a technically impressive piece of work, while the LEGO Home Alone and Seinfeld sets will surely hit the nostalgic sweet spots of older LEGO fans.
It’s too early to tell on when these winning product ideas will be eventually available since the LEGO Ideas design and review teams will certainly be hard at work on these three fan projects. They also have a handful of product ideas to work on as they now enter the First 2020 LEGO Ideas Review Stage with its staggering 26 qualifiers. It will surely be a busy year at LEGO Ideas HQ.
So what do you think about the LEGO Ideas Third 2019 Review Results? Are you happy about these selections? Let’s talk about it in the comments. below.
After hinting on the upcoming LEGO Ideas Third 2019 Review Results a couple of weeks ago, the LEGO Ideas Review Team has now revealed that the results for this review stage will be up in the next 24 hours. To make the announcement even more exciting for fans, LEGO Ideas Engagement Manager, Hasan Jensen, kicks off the big reveal with an equally huge raffle giveaway.
LEGO fans now have a chance of winning the impressive and much desired LEGO Ideas Pirates of Barracuda Bay (21322) by simply sending in your comment on which among these 10K qualifiers do you think will eventually emerge as the next official LEGO Ideas set.

Truth be told, I’m really hoping for the Legend of Zelda BotW Stables product idea to push through. It will be a good indicator of things to come between LEGO and Nintendo if this product idea is pulled off, especially considering that we already have our official line up of LEGO Super Mario sets.
And while we’re still waiting for the official LEGO versions of the winners of the LEGO Ideas Second 2019 Review Stage in the form of the LEGO Ideas Medieval Blacksmith and Winnie the Pooh sets, which product idea do you think will make the cut in the LEGO Ideas Third 2019 Review? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.

After making their appearance on a German LEGO catalog earlier this week, LEGO Shop@Home has been updated to now include the latest LEGO Star Wars sets arriving in September, just in time for the holidays.
These sets also include a new take on the mammoth AT-AT, with this latest LEGO brick version of the All-Terrain Armored Transport now being the largest of its kind based on the number of pieces. This wave of new LEGO Star Wars sets also features what could be the most anticipated collection of LEGO Star Wars minifigures – the 501st Legion Clone Troopers. We also have our first look at this LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar that features a new Christmas-themed Darth Vader minifigure. These and the rest of the sets in this 2H 2020 wave are now listed at shop.LEGO.com. Check out their product listings below together with their official images. You may click on the following affiliate links as well if you wish to add them to your LEGO wishlist.
Another thing that I find interesting about this wave of LEGO Star Wars sets is the fact that each of them will unlock new, in-game content for the upcoming LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga video game. We’re not sure exactly what these unlockable contents are, but it’s not far-fetched to consider that these may include a digital counterpart of the sets themselves that the player can use during gameplay. I guess we’ll just have to find out for ourselves come September when these sets are released. In the meantime, let’s enjoy these images.
In case you missed it earlier this week, LEGO has officially introduced its next big set geared towards adult fans of LEGO. While the digital version of the US LEGO Summer 2020 Catalog is already available, their print counterparts are now gradually rolled out to certain parts of the globe. It is already a known fact that these catalogs vary in content depending on the location where they are released. As such, we may get to see other sets that are not featured on other regional catalogs, and this is especially the case with what Promobricks shared about the new LEGO Star Wars sets slated for the 2nd half of 2020.
Courtesy of Instagram user timoandnando, we now have our first look at these LEGO Star Wars sets as revealed via the German LEGO Catalog for June to December 2020. Here’s a peek at what we can expect from these four sets.
