Detailed Tree House model to challenge LEGO® builders and inspire endless play!

LEGO Ideas Tree House (21318)

Build, display and play with this intricately detailed, 3,036-piece LEGO® Ideas 21318 Tree House playset. A complex build for experienced LEGO builders that all the family will love to play with, it features a landscape base and 3 LEGO tree house cabins—a main bedroom, bathroom and kids’ room. The tree has interchangeable sets of green summer leaf elements and yellow and brown fall leaf elements—these and various plant elements on the base are all made from sustainable-plant-based polyethylene plastic—and the treetop and cabin roofs are removable to allow easy access. The model is packed with play-inspiring features including a buildable picnic table and seats, swing, bonfire, treasure map and hidden gem element to play out a treasure hunt, and a wind-up crane on the balcony of the bedroom cabin. A great birthday gift, this unique creative toy comes with mom, dad and kids minifigures, plus a bird figure, to role-play fun family scenes. It also includes a booklet with building instructions and information about this LEGO Ideas set’s fan creator and LEGO designer.

  • This LEGO® Ideas set includes 4 minifigures: mom, dad and 2 children, plus a bird figure.

Official Images of the LEGO Forma (81000) Set Appears In LEGO Servers

If you recall back in September of last year, LEGO experimented on a crowd-sourcing model in promoting its sets, particularly with the relatively new LEGO Forma theme. Aimed at adult fans of LEGO, the LEGO Forma theme is focused on building and creative expression via art in a more unstructured way. The sets’ most notable features include interchangeable skins, particularly among the three Koi Fish variants featured in the LEGO Forma theme. With regards to its build, they all follow a common design and certain play features.

LEGO Forma

Launched via the Indiegogo platform, it was not quite sure afterward if the LEGO Forma sets will be made available through more conventional means such as via LEGO Shop@Home or at LEGO brand stores. However, something delightfully curious happened today – a rare opportunity for those who may have missed these sets during their launch.

81000 alt2
A look at the back side box art of the LEGO Forma (81000). It’s relatively simple and minimalist in design.

LEGO servers have been now updated to include official images of the first of the LEGO Forma sets, leading us to speculate that this theme may eventually find their way at LEGO’s online store portal. The sets themselves are not yet listed so we only have these images to look at. The LEGO Forma (81000) base set comes in at 293 pieces, with a buildable base that also acts as a tactile mechanism for the koi fish build to mechanically move. It also features an interchangeable skin that can be swapped with two other koi skin variants which as of this posting, are yet to appear on LEGO’s servers. I expect this to sell for around $50 USD, but the price could be lower.

Now I am kind of compelled to speculate that this may be part of LEGO’s future promotional sets. However, I feel that this may not be the case since it will be kind of a let-down for those who already purchased the set last year if LEGO will opt to move forward to this direction. Additionally, LEGO was testing the waters back then with regards to this marketing model, so the goal at that time was to see if this is a viable way of promoting future LEGO sets which it did actually.

Whatever is the case, I’m sure that a particular group of LEGO fans will be excited to see these LEGO Forma sets accessible to everyone. Be sure to keep tabs with us for more updates about these recent developments.

LEGO Christmas Gift Box (40292) Promotional Set Still Up at LEGO Shop@Home

LEGO is celebrating Christmas quite early this year with the re-release of its LEGO Christmas Gift Box (40292) gift-with-purchase set. If you recall, this exclusive GWP set made its debut in October last year and has turned out to be popular among LEGO fans as a seasonal holiday set. This time around, LEGO is bringing this back and we still have until today to get this limited-edition set.

40292 alt1

The LEGO Christmas Gift Box (40292) promotional  is running only for 3 days from July 12 to 14, and its a nice bonus if you’ve already made your LEGO purchases during these dates, or is just about to visit the LEGO store for that much-awaited set like the LEGO Creator Expert NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander (10266). The Christmas Gift Box (40292) set is yours for free for any single receipt purchase of any LEGO products worth $99 USD and above. It comes in at 301 pieces and features two minifigures inside a buildable home with a fireplace, that doubles as a holiday present as well.

LEGO Ideas Tree House (21318) Spotted at LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Texas

It looks like some folks are just plain lucky. After spotting the upcoming LEGO Ideas Tree House (21318) at a Belgian toy store, it looks like this set has found its way in US shores. LEGO fan and AFOLs of Facebook member Michael Bradford shared video footage that shows this set and other forthcoming sets on store shelves of the LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Grapevine, Texas.

As you can see from the images that he shared over social media, Michael bought the said set right off the shelf and has even posted his receipt as proof of purchase in case LEGO Men in Black cries foul for this early reveal. If you recall from my previous post, the LEGO Ideas Tree House (21318) is expected to be officially released to the general public in August, with an early VIP release of sometime this month. Towards the end of Michael’s 12-second video, it can be noticed that the recently announced LEGO Creator Expert Harley-Davidson Fatboy (10269) is also on display and for sale beside the Tree House, given the fact that this next LEGO Creator Expert set is still due for an early VIP release on July 17.

Keep your radars open for LEGO’s official press release and images of the LEGO Ideas Tree House which will be out soon.

Another LEGO SDCC 2019 Exclusive Revealed – the LEGO Star Wars Sith Trooper Bust (77901)

Another LEGO SDCC 2019 exclusive has just been revealed, and just in time for another Star Wars Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker character teaser. The LEGO Star Wars Sith Trooper Bust (77901) is the next 2019 San Diego Comic Con exclusive to be offered to attendees following the Dark Knight of Gotham City (77903) and Captain Marvel and the Asis (77902) sets.

77901 1

Revealed by LEGO via social media, this latest LEGO SDCC  2019 exclusive comes in at 484 pieces and will retail for $45 USD, available for purchase to all San Diego Comic-Con attendees via electronic raffle. This set takes its cue from the latest evolution of the Stormtrooper which will make its debut in December once Star Wars Episode IX hits theaters.

77901 3

What is interesting about this set is also the fact that it claims to be an Early Release Edition, hinting on the possibility that later, non-exclusive releases of this set will be available to the general public. I have to applaud LEGO for this move if such is the case since for a long time, LEGO fans are clamoring for access to this event and regional exclusive sets.

The LEGO Star Wars Sith Trooper Bust (77901) is the second set of its kind following the release of the LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader Bust (75227) that was released earlier this April as a Target store exclusive, and in relation to the annual Star Wars Celebration in Chicago.

The LEGO VIP Rewards Program Just Got Even Better
