Following the official reveal and listing of more LEGO licensed sets, the LEGO Jurassic World theme has also received its share of new sets slated to be released in August and September.
These latest product update to the Jurassic spanning theme includes several new dinosaur figures such as a recolored Baryonyx and stygimoloch, a new baby ankylosaurus and triceratops, and an all-new T-rex fossil.

LEGO Shop@Home has now been updated once again to include new, never-before-seen LEGO licensed sets slated for August and October. After being spotted on the wild in an undisclosed LEGO Store in the UK, third-party retailer Amazon France has now published the official set images for the LEGO Marvel Summer 2021 sets. These images give us a closer look at what to expect from these much-awaited sets and a brief description of their play features via Google Translate. Missing from our previous post was TGOG’s Benatar which is pretty amazing in itself and reminds me of Tyler’s brick version of the Milano that you can find over at Build Better Bricks. I’m still waiting to see them listed over at LEGO Shop@Home, and we can be sure that it will happen anytime soon. In the meantime, let’s take a look at these.

It looks like there’s another excited LEGO Store employee that was a bit too eager to put these sets on display. Brickset member Sean Nualart snapped these photos of the much-talked-about LEGO Marvel Summer 2021 that he spotted on display at an undisclosed LEGO Store in the UK. This summer wave of LEGO Marvel offerings features five sets, collectively referred to under the Infinity Saga subtheme. These are just the sets’ respective box arts understandably, but they’re sufficient to provide us a clear idea of what to expect from them. Let’s just hope that LEGO will make the official reveal anytime soon, or by next week at the very most. In the meantime, let’s take a look at these images.

I’ll bet my bricks that the Infinity Gauntlet (76191) will be on top of most AFOLs’ checklist of LEGO Marvel sets this summer. It may not be strictly a wearable type of build (though I wish LEGO gave us that kind of option), but still, it’s a great display set alongside the Iron Man Helmet (76165). And speaking of Iron Man, this brick version of the Iron Monger is really spot on, coming in on a minifigure scale. I love what LEGO did here, with the set’s details and form. It looks like LEGO is getting better and better at designing mech-inspired sets, in my opinion.
As of this posting, these LEGO Marvel Summer 2021 sets are still yet to appear over at LEGO Shop@Home. But given that these sets are all probably waiting in storerooms of LEGO Stores (plus the facts that some employees are already too excited to put them on shelves), then it is most likely that we will get an official listing on LEGO’s shopping portal anytime soon. However, since this is our last stretch for the LEGO Star Wars May the 4th promo, expect that some of the more premium LEGO sets are already on backorder or sold-out status. This is the case for the popular Helmet Collection and the new UCS R2-D2 (75308) set.

They just keep on coming, and I love it! The LEGO Ideas fan submission platform has just concluded with another record-breaking high, with a total of 57 product ideas qualifying for the First 2021 LEGO Ideas Review stage, as announced over their blogsite. These 57 submissions managed to get the necessary 10,000 fan votes needed to progress for this year’s first LEGO Ideas review.
Since the start of the pandemic, the LEGO Ideas platform saw a steady increase of fan submissions, largely as a result of increased LEGO building at home. As I’ve mentioned before in a previous related article, this is a testament to how LEGO building as a hobby, turned out to be a positive outlet for most LEGO fans as we strive to cope with the series of lockdowns and stay-at-home orders.
I’ve always been a fan of LEGO Ideas, and I’ve covered and supported some of its fan submissions that eventually found their way to becoming official LEGO Ideas sets. And I also intend to continuously cover every LEGO Ideas fan submission that reaches that 10K support milestone. However, the recent influx of review stage qualifiers is just kind of hard to keep track of! I guess I just have to double down on keeping them on my radar. It will always be a pleasure to see the creativity of the LEGO fan community spring into life, so be ready with the scroll wheel because this will be a very lengthy list.
Additionally, it should be mentioned that there was a particular fan submission that didn’t make the cut even though it managed to reach 10,000 supporters. The Stadium Tour did not eventually qualify for the First 2021 LEGO Ideas Review because it failed to follow the platform’s stipulated guidelines, particularly on “intellectual properties”.
As a last note, the Third 2020 LEGO Ideas Review Stage is about to be concluded, with the announcement of the winner slated to happen sometime this summer. We have to wait a lit bit more to see which among the 25 qualifiers in this particular review stage will go on to become an official LEGO Ideas set. Following the recent reveal of a new LEGO BrickHeadz Harry Potter pack in the form of set 40495, we now have another one that we can add to our collection this June. This time around LEGO BrickHeadz fans can expect the arrival of a 3-pack, LEGO BrickHeadz Voldemort, Nagini & Bellatrix (40496) set.
Thanks to info shared by Promobricks, we can expect this new set to arrive in June alongside its Hogwarts counterparts. This LEGO BrickHeadz version of the “One Who Must Not Be named”, along with some of his cohorts, gives their characters a bit of LEGO humor and a certain degree of brick cuteness. I simply love the way Nagini turned out, giving the iconic Horcrux a bit of a chibi vibe. Bellatrix is easily recognizable as well, with her classic locks of hair replicated using those round 2×2 plates.
The LEGO BrickHeadz Voldemort, Nagini & Bellatrix (40496) is now the 7th BrickHeadz set from its Wizarding World subtheme, slated to be released in June. It clocks in at 344 pieces and is expected to retail around the $20-$25 price point. Since the box art has already made its appearance in the wild, we can expect this to be listed over at LEGO Shop@Home anytime soon.
The LEGO Customer Services portal has been updated, revealing an accompanying polybag for the LEGO Marvel Shang-Chi sets. These sets are currently available over at LEGO Shop@Home, and it’s good to know that TLG has also thrown in a polybag for the newest LEGO Marvel subtheme. The LEGO Marvel Shang-Chi and the Great Protector (30454) polybag has now been revealed, with its building instructions made available online.
The polybag comes in at 55 pieces and features a mini version of the Great Protector as it is referred to in the MCU. As a scaled-down version of its larger counterpart in the Battle at the Ancient Village (76177), this polybag version highlights the same white and red color scheme for the water dragon on top of a decorative translucent light blue design plate first introduced this year in sets such as Iron Man vs Thanos (76170) and the aforementioned Battle at the Ancient Village (76177). This miniature dragon somewhat resembles and gives a similar vibe as that of 2017’s Green Ninja Mech Dragon (30428) polybag from the LEGO Ninjago Movie theme.
The LEGO Marvel Shang-Chi and the Great Protector polybag is also a great way to add the latest LEGO MCU superhero to your roster of superhero minifigs. It features Shang-Chi in his red, printed torso with a golden staff accessory, similar to how he is presented in other regular sets.
We’re still waiting for further information on where to find this polybag, and once we have it, I’ll update this post accordingly. In the meantime, you want to see and try to build this mini version of the Great Protector using these building instructions.
