The LEGO Catalog H1 2021 Now Up At LEGO Servers

UPDATE: It seems that the LEGO Catalog H1 2021 has been uploaded by mistake since it is no longer available to download from LEGO’s servers.

LEGO has uploaded the digital version of its LEGO Catalog H1 2021 (January to May 2021), and with it comes more LEGO sets that are expected to arrive during the 1st quarter of 2021. From the looks of it, LEGO still has plenty of surprises in store, other than what we know so far coming from its 2021 lineup of sets (e.g. those coming from its various non-licensed themes such City, Creator, Ninjago, and Friends among others).

Needless to say, the LEGO Catalog H1 2021 fills in some of the gaps that are noticeably missing in the upcoming sets that were revealed last time. Let’s take a look at some of these additional sets, all of which are slated to be available in February and March. I’ll keep you posted once these sets are listed over at LEGO Shop@Home.

LEGO Classic Sets (11006, 11007, 11012, 11013, 11014)

Next year’s latest LEGO Classic sets throws in a handful of useful pieces for any LEGO fans in general. From transparent bricks to cogs and wheels, these extra LEGO pieces will sure come in handy for your next LEGO project.

LEGO CMF Series 22

We’re still counting the weeks before LEGO CMF Series 21 (71029) is released in January, and from the looks of it, LEGO is giving us a treat in May with the reveal of its CMF Series 22. There’s no word yet on the brick street on what this next wave of collectible minifigs will be, but given LEGO’s previous CMF releases, we can expect that this is most likely to come from a licensed theme. Marvel Superheroes perhaps? Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

WATCH: LEGO Creator Expert Police Station (10278) Designer Video

After making its official debut a couple of weeks ago, LEGO has now released an accompanying designer video for its next modular set, the LEGO Creator Expert Police Station (10278). LEGO Designer Chris McVeigh gives us an inside tour of the Police Station (10278), and its neat little secrets waiting to be revealed. Watch this.

The LEGO Creator Expert Police Station is the 16th modular set under the subtheme. It’s a long time coming actually, and a perfect addition to the ever-growing collection of modular sets that deserves a premium spot in your LEGO room or shelf.

10278 1

Like those before it, the Police Station is more than just a modular set. In typical LEGO fashion, it tells a story amongst its minifigure characters, particularly with the mysterious Donut Thief. It boasts several play features including a winding staircase that passes through all its floors.  Aside from the Police Station itself, the set also has an adjacent Donut Shop, an apartment, annex, and a newsstand.

What are the secrets that this newspaperman is hiding?

LEGO fans will notice that this set also offers several new recolored LEGO pieces, including some new decorated elements. As mentioned by LEGO Graphic Designer Ashwin Visser, these include a prominently displayed 1×4 plate with a printed police sign, two printed round tiles for the Donut Shop, and a new 2×2 square tile newspaper among others. What is also interesting is the use of several LEGO Minecraft wolf headpieces for the building’s cornice and the 1×3 inverted bow in new colors. The set also boasts five new minifigures, including ’40s-era Police Officers.

The LEGO Creative Expert Police Station (10278) is slated to arrive exclusively via LEGO Shop@Home and at LEGO brand stores starting January 1, 2021. It clocks in at 2,923 pieces and will retail for $199.99 USD.

Check Out the December 2020 LEGO Store Calendar and Featured Freebies

We’re just counting the days before we once more share the spirit of the holidays. And despite the current pandemic that drastically altered our lives, there are still plenty of reasons to make this holiday season fun and worthwhile. So if you’re still out and about planning your Christmas wishlist, then you may want to check out the December 2020 LEGO Store Calendar, and all the freebies and offerings that it has in store.

The past months saw LEGO struggling to open its physical stores to the public because of the limitations imposed by the pandemic. However, now that safety protocols are in place and people are now more conscious of keeping these health protocols, LEGO has gradually opened its brand stores once more to the public. In fact, some of their promotional freebies are now exclusively available in-store for those who will opt to make the most out of the LEGO Store experience.

That being said, let’s take a look at the promotional offerings that LEGO has in store for December. You may also download a PDF version of the December 2020 LEGO Store Calendar right here.

December 2020 LEGO Store Calendar 30575 1

It’s nice to see that LEGO is throwing in another freebie for those who will be diving into the last leg of the holiday shopping rush. It is also interesting to note that the LEGO Creator Train (30575) polybag will only be offered as an in-store promotional for those who will be making their purchases in LEGO brand stores during these promo dates. This polybag freebie will be added to your cart for every qualifying LEGO purchase of $40 and above.

As a final note, I have to say that I kind of miss the monthly in-store events and additional freebies that LEGO used to sponsor. But I guess it’s a necessary sacrifice to make sure everybody is safe. I just hope this pandemic will soon end and that 2021 will offer a better, brighter year for all of us. Happy holidays everyone!

LEGO Trains 40th Anniversary Set (40370) Listed at LEGO Shop@Home

Well, this one flew right off the shelf pretty fast. LEGO Shop@Home has briefly listed the LEGO Trains 40th Anniversary Set (40370) and it was just sold out in a matter of minutes.

If you recall, this set has been launched as a gift-with-purchase (GWP) set during the first quarter of the year as part of LEGO’s 40th-year celebration of its Trains theme.  And for a very limited time – which I surmise depends on its availability – the LEGO Trains 40th Anniversary set was made available for sale for $19.99 over at LEGO Shop@Home in the US. And as expected, in just a matter of minutes, this commemorative set was instantly sold out.

40370 1

There’s was no particular product description mentioned on its product page as of to date, except for the same details that were mentioned when it was posted as a promotional item back in March. LEGO has not released any statement yet if we will still see this set back for sale, or if it is really only a one-time deal.

For now, in case you still missed out on this collectible set, you may just want to try and build one of your own since LEGO has posted the set’s building instructions online. There are no unique pieces as it seems, save for the stickers and the exclusive train operator minifigure that comes with it. Here is the set’s parts inventory if in case you want to check if you have the necessary parts available.

Be Sure To Catch These LEGO Promotional Items This December

The holiday season is now in full swing and while perhaps most of us are waiting for the arrival of some of 2021’s most anticipated sets like the upcoming LEGO Creator Expert Police Station modular set, you might want to draft your end-of-the-year LEGO shopping list and bag these neat LEGO promotional items this December.

LEGO Shop@Home in the US has just updated its offers and promotions page to now include not one, but three LEGO promotional items that will be added to your cart for free with LEGO qualifying purchases that you’ll make this month.

LEGO Seasonal Ice Skating Rink (40416)

304 pieces | Available from December 1 to 12, 2020 or while supplies last

LEGO Promotional Items LEGO Promotional Items LEGO Promotional Items

This year’s holiday seasonal freebie now comes in the form of a playable skating rink. As a fan of minifig vignettes, I love the way how designers cleverly used the splat-gear pieces to make the minifigure skaters circle the ice skating rink. The choice of color is also perfect in my opinion as it captures the holiday fun of playing outdoors. Coming in at 304 pieces, this freebie also comes with 2 minifigures, some pine trees, a small stall, and a mini fountain of sorts at the center of the build. This promotional item will be added to your cart for a single-receipt purchase of any LEGO product(s) worth $150 and above. This promo will end by next week December 12, so be sure to plan your next LEGO purchase before then if you wish to bag this one.

LEGO Disney Frozen 2 Olaf’s Traveling Sleigh (40361)

97 pieces | Available from December 1 to 31, 2020 or while supplies last

40361 1 40361 alt1 40361 alt4

This next freebie is not entirely new since it was already offered before in 2019 as one of the LEGO promotional items to promote the launch of  LEGO Disney Frozen 2 sets. However, if you missed out on Olaf’s Traveling Sleigh (40361) during that time, then here’s your chance to get it for free. For every single-receipt purchase of any of the following LEGO Disney Frozen 2 sets – 41164, 41165, 41166, 41167, 41168, 41169, and 43172 – worth $50 and above, you’ll have Disney’s most adorable snowman added to your cart for free. The set comes in at 97 pieces, and a great way to get Olaf’s minifigure for free.

LEGO Star Wars BB-8 (40288) polybag

48 pieces | Available from December 1 to 31, 2020 or while supplies last

40288 alt1

Here’s another opportunity to bag a missed promotional, in case you missed this one back in 2018. The LEGO Star Wars BB-8 (40288) polybag was also one of the LEGO promotional items that were launched as a way of celebrating 2018’s LEGO May the 4th celebrations. This mini-build of BB-8 has proven to be quite popular that LEGO opted to do a re-run of this promo in October of the same year. And if for some reason you still missed out on this polybag freebie, then here’s your chance to bag this one. Coming in at 48 pieces, the LEGO Star Wars BB-8 will be available throughout December or while supplies last. It will be yours free for every single-receipt qualifying purchases of any LEGO Star Wars products worth $40 and above.

Needless to say, these freebies are nice little gifts that LEGO has in store for us this month. Just be sure to check with LEGO Shop@Home or with the LEGO brand store nearest you. Happy holidays and keep on building!

ICYMI: LEGO Creator Expert Botanical Collection Coming in 2021

It looks like LEGO is pushing forward with its plans of furthering wooing the AFOL community. This recent wave of third-party retailer reveals shows that there are a couple of LEGO 18+ sets on the horizon, and these sets look promising. From the short-lived LEGO Forma series to more recent LEGO mosaic offerings, now comes another series that is marketed to be one ultimate brick zen experience: the LEGO Creator Expert Botanical Collection is expected to arrive soon sometime in January next year. Check out these images courtesy of Polish online store Bonito.

These bonsai and bouquet inspired sets are both reminiscent of the creative works of Chris McVeigh and AC Pinlac. I love how the bonsai turned out, with its customizable leaf elements that can either be built as a typical green tree, or a beautiful brick rendition of cherry blossoms. Similarly, the bouquet may be modified in several ways and looks gorgeous arranged in a flower vase.

These sets are not yet listed over at LEGO Shop@Home, but we can expect a launch date of January 2021 alongside recently revealed LEGO 18+ 2021 sets such as next year’s modular, the LEGO Creator Expert Police Station (10278), and LEGO Art sets.  I’ll keep you posted once these LEGO Creator Expert Botanical Collection sets are up and listed, so be sure to subscribe and keep tabs with us here on our blogsite.
