More 2019 LEGO Speed Champions Official Images

When the official images for the Ferrari F40 Competizione LEGO set (75890) was revealed just days before, it was the assurance that the Speed Champions line of brick-built high-performance cars wasn’t going to fade quietly just yet. And the F40 itself is a magnificent sight with plenty of swappable options. LEGO hinted at more Speed Champions sets arriving in 2019 than just the Ferrari, and we now have the rest of the 2019 LEGO Speed Champions respective box art images . There are two more single-car sets and two dual sets due to arrive next year.

LEGO Friends 2019 Sets Now Has One Polybag Revealed

We’ve had the privilege of sharing with our readers the official pages of the first 2019 sets for the LEGO Friends series quite recently. They included some sweet building and vehicle sets plus character-specific Heart Box kits with the cute minifigures of the circle of girl friends from Heartlake City.

Apparently, those are only the “big” LEGO Friends sets to expect next year; there are also the “small” products to expect from the Heartlake gang. By that we mean LEGO Friends polybags are also on their way, with one already found in advance at a toy store in Bonn, Germany.

This Friends polybag is numbered 30409 and features Emma with her pet cat. The descriptive name for the product hasn’t been discovered yet by German LEGO news source Promo Bricks, but it does feature Emma and her pet riding bumper cars: one minifigure-sized for her, and the other one kitty-sized.

For its pricing in Europe, the LEGO Friends polybag 30409 is €3.99 – about the usual to be expected from a polybag of this size. The appearance of this item is proof that perhaps despite being earmarked for a 2019 official release, LEGO fans can have this and other new Friends sets before the year’s end.

More 2019 LEGO Ninjago Legacy Official Images Released – Ultra Dragon (70679) Revealed

After last week’s reveal of the 2019 LEGO Ninjago Legacy subtheme, we now have additional images of yet another redesigned Ninjago set based from Season 1’s Rise of the Snake. This time around, the fearsome four-headed Ultra Dragon is now included in the roster of Ninjago Legacy sets as revealed by DeToyz Shop. The LEGO Ninjago Legacy The Ultra Dragon (70679) comes in at 951 pieces and is based on a redesigned version of the first Ultra Dragon set as included in 2012’s Epic Dragon Battle (9450). As you may have noticed, this set is not entirely a re-release, but an improvement in terms of design and play features. Most noticeable is the new dragon heads which are completely brick-built equipped with stud shooters mounted on its jaws. Its wings are now also made of thin, membrane-like vinyl which LEGO included as wing accessories in Ninjago sets beginning with Attack of the Morro Dragon (70736)released in 2015. The Ultra Dragon (70679) also comes with six minifigures: Lloyd, Master Wu, Lord Garmadon, Pythor, and a couple of Serpentine Warriors.

LEGO Disney Princess Gets More Sets in 2019

We now have our first series of official images of LEGO Disney Princess sets slated to arrive in 2019. Listed by Russian online store Exoforce, these new sets features famous Disney characters that we all grew up with, rendered in minidoll form such as Jasmine, Cinderella, Ariel and Rapunzel. The LEGO Disney Princess theme seems to get more attention from the LEGO Group considering the strength of the Disney brand. These sets also feature some of our well-known Disney heroines, together with brick-built replicas of their famous castles, kingdoms, carriages and towers. This first wave of offerings coming from the Disney Princess theme also contains several new for 2019 LEGO pieces such as that nicely done magic carpet piece from Aladdin and Jasmine’s Palace (41161), and some new fences and archway.

First Wave of 2019 LEGO Architecture Official Images Released

After being listed at Austrian online store Alternate earlier this month, we now have official images of the first two sets belonging to the first wave of 2019 LEGO Architecture sets: the San Francisco (21043) and Paris (21044) sets. Based on LEGO Architecture’s recent Skylines theme, these new sets on the block is expected to be available in the market early in February or during the first quarter of 2019. First Look at 2019’s LEGO Speed Champions Ferrari F40 Competizione (75890)

There have been times when fans may have felt that LEGO’s promise to revive the Speed Champions line of brick-built car models may have been a half-hearted effort. The fact that new sets have been announced for the next year, along with all the rest, should somewhat quiet those doubts. Now thanks to Hoth Bricks, we now have our first official images of the LEGO Speed Champions Ferrari F40 Competizione (75890). Its design and contours are what to be expected from the Speed Champions line, and will certainly thrill collectors of LEGO vehicles.

Aside from this brick build of the Ferrari F40 Competizione itself, the set comes with a driver minifigure and a wrench accessory, and a variety of options for the car: a different hood, spoiler, headlights, rear exhaust, and three sets of alternative rims for the wheels.

Barring any changes, we can expect the LEGO Speed Champions Ferrari F40 Competizione (75890) to be priced at $14.99 like its fellow Speed Champions sets. From what info Hoth Bricks has gathered, this is the first of five Speed Champions sets for 2019. We’ll try to keep our readers updated once the other upcoming sets have been revealed as well.

More Images of China Regional-Exclusive LEGO Dragon Dance (80102) Set

When LEGO wants to imprint itself into the Chinese and Asian regional market, they don’t do it by half-measures. Already we have gotten a preview at what the company has planned for release in that country by 2019, one of them being given an in-depth look with several images shown. That was the LEGO Chinese New Year’s Eve Dinner set (80101), a marvelous depiction of a Chinese family celebrating Chinese New Year in a totally traditional setting. Accompanying those images is one shot of its companion set the Dragon Dance (80102). Now we have a closer look at that courtesy of the same source, German LEGO news source Promo Bricks.

A close inspection of the box image for LEGO Dragon Dance (80102) hinted at a possible mechanical function similar to what LEGO a couple of months ago with LEGO Forma. These follow-up images confirm it: a crank on one side of the dragon dance platform can be turned, causing the Chinese dragon to undulate as if its bearers were actually moving it.

The set comes with five minifigures, four dragon-bearers (with individually distinct heads) and the CMF Series 12 Piggy Guy leading with the “pearl” ornament the dragon traditionally chases. Why a pig guy? That’s because the set is releasing in 2019, the Year of the Pig in the Chinese Zodiac (specifically, Pig of the Earth element). Interestingly, the included brick separator is colored teal, a first.

Like the Chinese New Year’s Eve Dinner (80101), this set will only be available for conventional purchase in China, and possibly neighboring Asian countries. The rest of the world may have to rely on secondary markets to get one of these.

2019 LEGO Duplo Sets Revealed

Serious, the revelation of all LEGO sets expected to be released when the year 2019 comes feels like a runaway train with no breaks. We’ve already covered huge number of set reveals coming from LEGO’s themes such as those from LEGO City, Creator, Friends and The LEGO Movie 2 just to name a few. And this time, we’ve got fresh reveals of the 2019 LEGO Duplo sets expected to be released before the year ends.

Now, we’ve already seen some of these upcoming 2019 LEGO Duplo sets due to tying in to either The LEGO Movie 2, or being revealed as part of a commemorative set for Disney’s 90^th anniversary celebration for Mickey Mouse. The Heartlake Girls Go to the Countryside With These 2019 LEGO Friends Sets

We’ve already seen what LEGO City has in store for the coming year, now it’s time for another major LEGO line to showcase its sets due for release in 2019. Where City was all police chases and firefighting by land, sea and air, the 2019 LEGO Friends sets has the Heartlake girls taking a vacation to the countryside.

The 2019 sets brought out for LEGO Friends can be roughly divided into two groups: the conventional sets and the novelty “Heart Box” series containing the Heartlake girls with accessories, which can be stacked for some really stylish storage. More Police and Firefighting 2019 LEGO City Sets Revealed

If you’ve been keeping pace with our updates on what LEGO sets are scheduled to officially come out in 2019 (or unofficially, be already available in toy retailers from, say, Canada), then you’ll know that many of the upcoming 2019 LEGO City sets have common themes: action and adventure, judging from the various firefighting and police operation sets in the previews.

As it turns out, the action-packed and adventurous LEGO City sets for next year are just getting warmed up. Following the first batch of previews, more 2019 sets have been revealed, lots of them depicting exciting sequences of epic firefights or high-speed high-altitude police chases and urban surfaces to play on.
