LEGO City Animal Rescue Summer 2021 Sets Revealed

It looks like LEGO is on a wildlife rescue with this year’s summer wave of LEGO City sets. Some of these sets have been revealed already by an Italian online retailer giving us a glimpse of what to expect from this series of LEGO City Animal Rescue summer 2021 sets.

These sets are slated to be released sometime in August and feature some pretty cool new animal figures and vehicles. Take note that this is a partial listing and more similar sets may be revealed soon. These images may not be the most ideal, but they’re substantial enough to provide us a closer look.

Here Are The LEGO 2021 Polybags To Watch Out For

Our brick-minded friends from Promobricks managed to round up several, crisp images of what I am personally looking forward to as a LEGO collector. And thankfully, we now have an idea of what we can expect for next year’s collection of LEGO 2021 polybags.

From the looks of it, it seems that each particular LEGO theme will once offer a new polybag – from home-grown themes to licensed ones, each of these LEGO 2021 polybags offers a mini-scale version of a particular set in its upcoming subtheme (like in the case of the new LEGO Ninjago and DOTS series) or expands your collection of useful LEGO pieces. Such is the case for the LEGO City Pop-Up Store (30569), considering the printed tile pieces that go with it.

They’re not usually listed over at LEGO Shop@Home, though you can find them in your local LEGO brand store and other third-party retailers as well.  Expect these polys to be around starting January and throughout the first quarter of 2021, retailing for $4.99. Which one of these will you pick up? Let us know in the comments below.

The LEGO Catalog H1 2021 Now Up At LEGO Servers

UPDATE: It seems that the LEGO Catalog H1 2021 has been uploaded by mistake since it is no longer available to download from LEGO’s servers.

LEGO has uploaded the digital version of its LEGO Catalog H1 2021 (January to May 2021), and with it comes more LEGO sets that are expected to arrive during the 1st quarter of 2021. From the looks of it, LEGO still has plenty of surprises in store, other than what we know so far coming from its 2021 lineup of sets (e.g. those coming from its various non-licensed themes such City, Creator, Ninjago, and Friends among others).

Needless to say, the LEGO Catalog H1 2021 fills in some of the gaps that are noticeably missing in the upcoming sets that were revealed last time. Let’s take a look at some of these additional sets, all of which are slated to be available in February and March. I’ll keep you posted once these sets are listed over at LEGO Shop@Home.

LEGO Classic Sets (11006, 11007, 11012, 11013, 11014)

Next year’s latest LEGO Classic sets throws in a handful of useful pieces for any LEGO fans in general. From transparent bricks to cogs and wheels, these extra LEGO pieces will sure come in handy for your next LEGO project.

LEGO CMF Series 22

We’re still counting the weeks before LEGO CMF Series 21 (71029) is released in January, and from the looks of it, LEGO is giving us a treat in May with the reveal of its CMF Series 22. There’s no word yet on the brick street on what this next wave of collectible minifigs will be, but given LEGO’s previous CMF releases, we can expect that this is most likely to come from a licensed theme. Marvel Superheroes perhaps? Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

LEGO City 2021 H1 Set Images Revealed

It’s that time of the year once again when LEGO, or in this case, excited third-party retailers, are now giving us a glimpse of things to come in the first half of 2021. Dutch online toy retailer Van der Meulen has rolled out a handful of crisp, LEGO City 2021 images giving us a closer look at what we can expect from this first 2021 wave of sets. First reported last October, this wave of LEGO City 2021 sets expands existing subthemes, from high-speed police action and rescue to a more leisurely trip and relaxation in brick-built vacation RVs and city centers.

At first glance, you can notice that are some interesting LEGO pieces included in some of these sets such as the trans orange fire pieces and the trans blue shooters that mimic a water cannon play feature.  City buildings and other infrastructures now come with additional road plates that seem to connect with other LEGO City 2021 sets as well. LEGO also offers a sort of an expansion set in case you wish to add more roads to your latest LEGO City creation.

This wave of new-for-2021 sets is expected to be listed soon at LEGO Shop@Home anytime soon. I’ll be updating this post once they’re listed at LEGO’s online store.  In the meantime, let’s check out these images. Thanks to The Brothers Brick for the heads-up.

This is an exhaustive list though since we can still expect plenty of new information to come in as we approach the last quarter of this year. However, since LEGO is quite mum about these things, for now, I highly suggest that we consider all of these things for the rumors that they really are for the time being. Unless we hear LEGO’s official press release and product reveal regarding its upcoming LEGO sets, then let’s take this piece of news with a healthy amount of salt.

New LEGO City Main Square (60271) Spotted in Billund

There’s a new LEGO set on display at the LEGO Store in Billund that got me excited. Thanks to this report from Stone Wars, we now know that we will also be having a larger LEGO City set big enough to qualify as a LEGO Store exclusive. The LEGO City Main Square (60271) comes jam-packed with many smaller builds that give life to this bustling activity center.

The LEGO City Main Square (60271) as put on display in the LEGO Store in Billund.

Though we only have this single image taken on the shelf of the LEGO Store in Billund, it is enough for us to see what we can expect from the set. For starters, the set includes a town hall, a city diner, a concert stage, a park with string lights, a helicopter, a black limousine, and a pretty interesting monorail and train stop. It’s hard to figure out from the box art if the set comes with tracks for the monorail since the image of the monorail seems to be superimposed on the foreground. The LEGO City Main Square also comes with an impressive array of 13 minifigures, including the characters of Poppy Starr, Harl Hubbs, Mayor Fleck, Snake Rattler, Duke Detain, and Freya Mcloud as seen from LEGO’s ongoing animated series, LEGO City Adventures.

The way the LEGO City Main Square (60271) is designed is also reminiscent of LEGO’s previous offering back in 2015 in the form of the LEGO City Square (60097). This set also featured a monorail and a chopper, with a total number of 14 minifigures hustling and bustling around.

We have no further info about this latest LEGO City Main Square, except for its price point of around 199.99 Euros or $190 to $200 for that matter. This may also suggest that we can expect a piece count of around 1,700 pieces or so coming from such a large set. We don’t know for sure if and when this set will make an appearance over at LEGO Shop@Home, but I’m positive that we will officially hear from LEGO anytime soon.

Thanks again to Lukas from Stone Wars for sharing this piece of news. To know the most recent LEGO City releases, be sure to check our list right here.

Check Out These New LEGO 18+ Sets and More Available Now

Its August 1st, and it can only mean that more LEGO sets are now put on display at your local brand LEGO store (in case they’re now open) and over at LEGO Shop@Home. And this month, it seems that LEGO has the adult fan community in mind when it launched its impressive wave of LEGO 18+ sets, catering to the more discerning LEGO hobbyist in mind.

Since LEGO began introducing its 18+ sets branding with the LEGO Star Wars Helmet Collection, the LEGO Group made it a point to offer larger, more sophisticated sets to the AFOL (Adult Fans of LEGO) community. And since then, we’ve seen a steady increase of sets representing each of LEGO’s current themes.

Just to be sure that everything is covered though, LEGO has also released other sets intended for all ages coming from its various licensed and homegrown themes. With 55 new sets offered this month (as per Brickset’s count), I’m pretty sure there is something that will catch your fancy. We have a handful of new sets coming from other LEGO themes such as Star Wars, Super Mario, Harry Potter, Technic, Friends, City, Ninjago, Hidden Side and my personal favorite, Monkie Kid. Take note that depending on your region, some of these sets might still be released on a later date.

Check out these LEGO 18+ sets now available at LEGO’s online shopping portal. And if you wish to add them to your LEGO must-have list for this month, be kind enough to click on the following affiliate links below to support our work here in The Brick Show. Read on and happy building!
