LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Icons – Collector’s Edition (76391) Delayed to September 15 in NA

Two weekends ago, we had a nice feature on the magnificent LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Icons – Collector’s Edition (76391). If you recall, this impressive set includes LEGO reproductions of multiple key items from the “Harry Potter” universe. There’s random stuff like books, Hermione’s potions bottles, Ron’s chocolate frog, and customizable brick-built House scarf. It also includes vital equipment like Harry’s glasses and wand, Golden Snitch, and Tom Riddle’s Diary/Voldemort’s Horcrux. It’s all topped off with a better brick build of Hedwig the Owl than her standalone LEGO set (75979) from 2020.

We also told you to expect this 18+ to arrive this coming Thursday, September. Well, about that retail release date… If you live outside North America then rejoice, it is still coming as planned. If you live in Canada, the US, and Mexico, then you’re going to have to wait. The Brick Fan has it that LEGO.com announced a delay in the North American release of LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Icons – Collector’s Edition (76391). It will now come out instead on September 15, nearly 2 weeks after the 2nd.

76391 alt1

Here’s the text of LEGO’s set delay announcement:

The LEGO Harry Potter™ Hogwarts™ Icons Collectors’ Edition will now launch on September 15th in the US, Canada, and Mexico, rather than September 2nd as originally planned due to a shipping delay in the US. The set will be available for online only pre-order at LEGO.com beginning September 2nd. The product will be available in LEGO Retail stores on September 15th.

Shipping delays have long been a recurring snag in the arrival of new LEGO sets for retail, especially in North America. It probably is not going to change anytime soon, and collectors have always been willing to wait. So there it is; expect the Hogwarts Icons Collector’s Edition (75979) set to arrive September 2 outside NA, and September 15 within it.

Just a Quick Reminder: LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Icons-Collectors’ Edition (76391) Arriving in September

In case you missed it, LEGO has announced another LEGO Harry Potter set that marks the licensed series’ 20th anniversary. Earlier in June, LEGO launched a series of commemorative LEGO Harry Potter 20th Anniversary sets that highlight several key moments in the movie franchise. And this time around, LEGO has announced that it will offer what could be the most technically impressive display set that it has come up with that celebrates the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in brick format. The LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Icons-Collectors’ Edition (76391) is an 18+ set that is slated to arrive in September retailing for $250.

LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Icons-Collectors' Edition

As the name implies, the Hogwarts Icons-Collectors’ Edition (76391) is a collection of some of the most memorable elements, magical objects, and accessories that one can find in the famed school of wizardry. The set clocks in at 3,010 pieces and features brick renditions of Harry’s wand and glasses; Ron’s iconic chocolate frog; Hermione’s collection of potions containing 5 bottles of potions and magical ingredients; Tom Riddle’s diary; the Golden Snitch; and a customizable school scarf to suit any Hogwarts House. And on top of it all is the absolutely beautiful brick version of Hedwig the owl, with an equally exquisite Hogwarts official invitation. I have to say that this newer LEGO version of Hedwig is a lot better than what LEGO offered last year with the stand-alone LEGO Harry Potter Hedwig (75979).  Lastly, the set also comes with three additional LEGO Harry Potter golden commemorative minifigures of Albus Dumbledore, Prof. Minerva McGonagall, and Hagrid. The designers of this set also took the extra mile of offering a nice display stand for these 3 iconic characters and the other six commemorative minifigures that came with the LEGO Harry Potter 20th anniversary series.

There are so many cool things that I would like to point out about this set, but it will be better if you will take a look at it yourself over at LEGO Shop@Home. You may also want to click on the affiliate link below if you want to add this to your LEGO wishlist. For a closer look at this set, one of my favorite LEGO set reviewers Tiago Catarino, has a great breakdown and review of the LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Icons-Collectors’ Edition (76391) over at his YouTube channel. LEGO Harry Potter Hermione’s Study Desk (30392) Polybag Surfaces

The LEGO Customer Service portal has been updated to include a new set of building instructions pointing towards a new LEGO Harry Potter polybag. A LEGO Harry Potter Hermione’s Study Desk (30392) polybag has now surfaced, thanks to the said entry listed over at LEGO.com.

LEGO Harry Potter Hermione's Study Desk

To be exact, the building instructions for this new polybag offering are not actually uploaded yet. Instead, a set placeholder and product image is now made available on the portal. The new polybag features Hermione in her early years at Hogwarts, featuring what seems to be a new minifigure torso print. Aside from the miniature study table and accessories, it’s nice to see that LEGO is also throwing in a collectible Wizard Card tile piece that they began introducing with this year’s LEGO Harry Potter 20th Anniversary Commemorative sets. This is a more cost-effective way of gathering these special tiles if you’re the completionist kind of LEGO collector.

Details are scant with regards to this polybag. However, my best guess is that this LEGO Harry Potter Hermione’s Study Desk polybag might be available as a promotional item or gift-with-purchase set sometime in September. If you recall, it was also around this time last year when LEGO offered a similar freebie in the form of the Harry Potter and Hedwig Owl Delivery (30420) polybag.

I’ll keep you posted once more information comes in, so be sure to bookmark our page for future updates.

ICYMI: New LEGO Harry Potter Wizarding World Minifigure Accessory Set (40500) Now Listed at LEGO.com

This piece of news somehow fell off my radar. And in case you missed it, LEGO has listed a new minifigure accessory set under the LEGO Harry Potter theme. The new LEGO Harry Potter Wizarding World Minifigure Accessory Set (40500) set is now listed at LEGO Shop@Home.

LEGO Harry Potter Wizarding World Minifigure Accessory

This minifigure pack includes three characters from Potterverse which is now given the LEGO treatment. Though LEGO’s product page did not name these characters specifically, any sharp Harry Potter fan can immediately identify these as the Minister of Magic Rufus Scrimgeour, Order of the Phoenix member Dedalus Diggle, and Doris Crockford from The Philosopher’s Stone. The new LEGO Harry Potter Wizarding World Minifigure Accessory pack also includes a Harry Potter variant as he is seen in the Order of the Phoenix. Though the number of LEGO pieces included in this accessory set is quite minimal, LEGO has thrown in an interesting printed tile piece that includes several names of those who enlisted in Dumbledore’s Army.

This minifigure pack comes in at 33 pieces and will retail for $14.99 when it releases some time soon. For now, you may want to click on its corresponding affiliate link above if you wish to add this to your LEGO wishlist. In the meantime, you may also want to check the rest of the latest LEGO Harry Potter 2021 summer sets that are now available at LEGO’s home shopping portal.

More Details on What to Expect From LEGO CON 2021

LEGO is all set to launch its first-ever online fan convention dubbed as LEGO CON. And after an initial teaser last week, LEGO is slowly building the hype by giving us a glimpse of the many things to expect once the virtual convention commences on June 26.

LEGO’s tweet hints at the various set announcements that are about to happen on LEGO CON. The most noticeable of this is understandably coming from the LEGO Star Wars front. I feel that it may lean towards the reveal of the LEGO Star Wars UCS Republic Gunship, which was ultimately selected by most fans during the LEGO Ideas Fan Vote back from February last year. There will also be a detailed presentation on the latest LEGO Super Mario sets for the 2nd half of the year, including the new Adventures With Luigi Starter Course (71387) and a host of others.  I’m not really sure what LEGO has in mind with its LEGO Technic and Harry Potter presentations, but my best guess is that it might include possible building activities (competition perhaps) involving some of the new sets under these themes. Newer LEGO City sets will also be placed under the spotlight, especially since LEGO has invited an astronaut to grace the occasion. And those fans who will be watching online will also have the chance to participate in a live Q&A with designers of the LEGO Minecraft theme, and with Mojang’s Chief Brand Officer, Ms. Lydia Winters.

We can also be sure that LEGO has plenty of surprises in store during that 90-minute presentation. This includes the promise of more exclusive set reveals and other amazing guests. I’m still dwelling on the thought that the LEGO CON’s 2×2 brick logo may still have a connection to any sets, or activities that will be featured during the free, live online event. So be sure to mark June 26 on your calendars, and check your corresponding local time. For more updates, visit and bookmark the LEGO CON website.

LEGO Brickheadz 40495 Harry, Hermione, Ron & Hagrid Set Discovered

Just after sharing our first box art images of the LEGO Brickheadz Minions sets, Promobricks is back with another brick-built bobblehead reveal. We can confirm and expect that another LEGO Brickheadz set is about to join the ever-expanding Wizarding World of Harry Potter, thanks to Czech online store, Heureka. The LEGO Brickheadz 40495 Harry, Hermione, Ron & Hagrid set features the main protagonists of the Harry Potter franchise with the said offering being the largest Brickheadz set of to date in terms of the number of characters included. Unfortunately, we don’t have much information about this set as of this posting since the details on Heureka’s website are also scant in the meantime.

This latest LEGO Brickheadz set also renders Harry, Hermione, and Ron during their early years in Hogwarts. They also seem to be built on a smaller 3×3 base, as opposed to the standard 4×4. Each of them also sports a 1×3 printed tile for their uniform’s tie and shirt. I have to say that it’s interesting to see these little versions alongside their larger Brickheadz cousins such as those found in 2018’s Harry Potter and Hedwig (41615), Hermione Granger (41616), and Ron Weasley & Albus Dumbledore (41621). However, I have to say that this new mini Brickheadz version of Harry will take some time of getting used to.  Particularly because of those rather oversized eyeglasses. I feel that it does not sit well with the overall Brickheadz design.

LEGO BrickHeadz 40495 Harry, Hermione, Ron & Hagrid – First Look

40495

LEGO brickheadz harry

LEGO brickheadz hermione

LEGO brickheadz ron

LEGO brickheadz hagrid

This latest set also seems to feature a new, LEGO Brickheadz version of Hagrid. It’s not a major kind of revision but it’s nice to see Hagrid coming in with a unique printed tile of his own to accentuate his fashion. His first LEGO Brickheadz version from last year in the form Hagrid & Buckbeak (40412) did not come with any printed part or accessory. So this most recent iteration is a bit of an improvement.

The LEGO Brickheadz Harry, Hermione, Ron & Hagrid (40495) is not yet posted over at LEGO Shop@Home. But we can safely assume that we will probably hear more about it in the coming weeks, with an anticipated release date of June 2021. So what do you think of this new Brickheadz set? Let me know what you think in the comments below.

LEGO Harry Potter 20th Anniversary Commemorative Minifigures Revealed

It seems that LEGO has cast a transfiguration spell on this one. And as this year marks another milestone for one of LEGO’s well-loved theme, it seems that a wave of LEGO Harry Potter 20th anniversary commemorative minifigures are on their way.

Shared by wizardingworld over at Instagram, this collection of six LEGO Harry Potter minifigures come in an entirely golden color scheme including their base plates and accessories, and will be included in select LEGO HP sets that are slated to be released in the 2nd half of 2021. This wave of LEGO Harry Potter sets will also be a part of LEGO’s anniversary line of offerings that marks the theme’s 20th year. This is very much the same as what LEGO did with Ninjago’s 10th-anniversary sets earlier this year, where similar golden commemorative minifigs were included in some sets to add to its appeal and collectability.

LEGO HP 20th minifigs

The LEGO Harry Potter characters that are expected to be given the golden magic treatment will be Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Professor Severus Snape, Voldemort, and Quirinus Quirrell. We have no word yet at what particular sets they will be included. But since images of these LEGO Harry Potter 20th anniversary minifigures are already out there, and we’re just a couple of months away before the LEGO H2 sets are officially released, then we can expect a steady wave of LEGO set reveals to be around the corner.

In the meantime, be sure to keep tabs here at our blog site and keep an eye over at LEGO Shop@Home as well.
