LEGO House Exclusive Set Revealed: The LEGO House A Minifigure Tribute (40504)

The House of the Brick officially unveiled today this year’s exclusive LEGO House set. After legendary LEGO designer Stuart Harris gave a bit of a teaser a couple of days ago, LEGO has finally lifted the curtain to its LEGO House A Minifigure Tribute (40504). Read the announcement below.

A tribute to the minifigure!

New LEGO® House Exclusive set From 1 March!

LEGO House A Minifigure Tribute (40504)

40504 1

This year marks the 45th anniversary since the LEGO Group launched the very first LEGO minifigure in 1978. Since then, more than 10 billion minifigures have been produced in more than 8000 variants.

You can take part in celebrating the legendary minifigure by building the iconic Captain Redbeard, this year’s LEGO House Exclusive set. The finished figure, complete with a peg leg, pirate hat, and hook, is approx. 30 cm. high and consists of 1041 bricks.

This exclusive set is sold from 1 March 2023 and is only available in the LEGO store in LEGO House, Billund, Denmark.

Each year, the LEGO House Exclusive sets pay tribute to the most iconic LEGO Group stories. ‘A Minifigure Tribute’ is the fourth set in the series. These special sets can only be bought in the LEGO Store at LEGO House.

Meet the designers of the product

On 3 and 17 March, you can meet the two LEGO designers behind the product, Stuart Harris and Markus Rollbühler, in front of the LEGO House LEGO Store. Here you can see the concept models, have a chat with the designers and get your box signed.

When: 3 + 17 March at 4.00 – 5.00 pm CET

40504 2 40504 3

Here’s a bit of trivia according to LEGO: as of to date, there’s a total of 10 billion minifigures already out there since the first one came out of production. The LEGO Minifigure is also 45 years old since its initial launch and current iteration from 1978.

That is why The LEGO Group saw it fit to offer this next LEGO House exclusive set to the iconic character of Captain Redbeard – one of the most popular minifigure characters ever created coming from the classic Pirates theme. If you’re a fan of the theme, you might recall that Captain Redbeard originally came with the LEGO Pirates Black Seas Barracuda 6285 from 1989. The set was later re-released in 2002 with set number 10040, then re-imagined in the most recent LEGO Ideas Pirates of Barracuda Bay (21322) of 2020.

This brick-built version of Captain Redbeard clocks in at 1,041 pieces and stands 30 centimeters tall. The LEGO House A Minifigure Tribute (40504) is available only at the LEGO House in Billund, Denmark, for $84.99. Unless you already have an arranged trip to the House of the Brick, your options might be limited if you’re eyeing this exclusive.

LEGO Indirectly Confirms a LEGO Zelda Is Now in the Works

For the past three years, Nintendo and LEGO have been teaming up to create amazing sets that resulted in the creation of the successful and prolific LEGO Super Mario theme. They’ve been wildly popular among LEGO and Nintendo fans, with new ones coming out each year. The thing is, they’ve never really strayed from the whole Mario theme. But this may eventually change as rumors, leaks, and possibly an indirect confirmation from LEGO itself finally gives credence to the possibility that a LEGO Zelda is now on its way.

To be frank, this news is not entirely new. Because since the day that a cryptic Eurobricks member shared publicly that LEGO has been doing some secretive surveys on how much money will people actually spend on what seems to be upcoming LEGO sets, then more info about this potential LEGO Zelda started to take form.

LEGO has supposedly conducted surveys in the past, but this is the first instance where they have hinted at their interest in creating a LEGO Zelda set. It is uncertain whether they have obtained the license from Nintendo to do so, even if the rumor is true. Additionally, there is no guarantee that the leaked design will be the final product, as it could undergo significant changes.

Normally, this is the part where I normally say that you ought to take these rumors with a pinch of salt. However, knowing how protective LEGO can be with regard to its confidential sets and brand name, most of the time, it is through their own doing that an upcoming set may be indirectly confirmed.

Because as it turns out, YouTube channel Nintendo Prime eventually learned it the hard way when his channel became the target of the LEGO Brick Police as it issued a copyright takedown notice. The video in question (which is obviously taken down already) did not publish any photos, but instead just went on to describe how the initial leaks turned out. This is Nintendo Prime’s first copyright strike and those on YouTube (us included) know very well how nerve-wracking this experience is.

And as Nintendo Prime aptly puts it, such strict policing on LEGO’s part simply means that an upcoming LEGO Zelda set is actually imminent.

At this point, the leaks for this upcoming LEGO Zelda set are now out there in the wild so I will not go on to the details of describing it. However, what we can confirm is that it is a pretty large set clocking at 1,920 pieces. We don’t have a tentative release date as of press time. But we can somewhat assume that this set will be a part of LEGO’s H2 2023 releases or their June to December 2023 product launches.

Whatever the case is, I’ll keep our brick radars open for more info on this highly-anticipated LEGO Zelda set. So be sure to keep tabs on our blog site as well.

This Year’s Exclusive 2023 LEGO House Set Will Be Revealed on March 1st

LEGO’s social media platforms have released a rather interesting glimpse of what could be this year’s exclusive 2023 LEGO House set scheduled to be unveiled on the 1st of March. If you recall, last year’s exclusive 2022 LEGO House set paid tribute to LEGO Master Builder Dagny Holm.

As you can see from the video below, it appears that this upcoming LEGO House exclusive will have a pirate theme, as Stuart Harris, the set’s designer, dons an outfit reminiscent of a buccaneer and proceeds to unveil a treasure chest from a drawer. We eagerly anticipate the unveiling of this annual exclusive set from the LEGO House within the next few days.

Here’s the official press release for the 2023 LEGO House set exclusive.

Special events: New LEGO® House exclusive product

On 1 March, LEGO® House will launch this year’s exclusive collector’s set. Every year, a new LEGO House Exclusive set is launched, celebrating the most iconic moments in the LEGO Group’s history – all linking into footprints around LEGO House. This year, we invite LEGO fans of all ages to attend the launch of the exclusive product, in LEGO House and on social media.

Join us for something completely unique when we present this year’s exclusive LEGO House set ‘live’ at LEGO House at a fan event. Meet the designers behind this year’s set: Stuart Harris and Markus Rollbühler and hear all about the many ideas for this year’s LEGO House exclusive. In addition, you can also hear the historical perspectives about this year’s product from two LEGO employees who have been particularly involved.

More Details on How to Get the LEGO Icons Moving Truck GWP Set

Earlier last week, LEGO.com officially revealed the next gift-with-purchase set that we can expect following its LEGO City 4×4 Off-Road Ambulance Rescue (40582) promotional set. And if you’re looking forward to having the LEGO Icons Moving Truck GWP (or gift with purchase) set added to your latest modular set or any original creation in particular, then you’ll be glad to know that LEGO has already published the details on how we can get it.

Here’s How to Get the LEGO Icons Moving Truck GWP Set

As seen on LEGO.com’s Store Finder page, we can now confirm that you can have the LEGO Icons Moving Truck GWP added to your shopping cart for free when your LEGO purchase totals $180 or more.

LEGO Store Moving Truck GWP

The LEGO Icons Moving Truck GWP promo will run from February 21 to March 3, 2023, or until supplies last. What is great about this promo is that it does not limit your qualifying purchase to any particular LEGO product or theme, unlike the recent LEGO City 4×4 Off-Road Ambulance.

And because you’re not limited to any particular product, it means you have more flexibility in choosing your desired LEGO sets, especially those that are expected to be released starting March 1 such as the latest wave of LEGO Star Wars Helmets, Speed Champions sets, Disney BrickHeadz, and more. But if you’re still holding out on your bricks for this year’s modular set in the like of the LEGO Icons Jazz Club (10312), then it’s a great choice as well.

In case you missed my initial post on this promotional item, you may check out the details of the LEGO Icons Moving Truck GWP (40586) below.

LEGO Disney Peter Pan & Wendy’s Storybook Adventure (43220) Revealed!

German LEGO retailer Lucky Bricks has revealed another set added to LEGO Disney’s storybook adventure sets. If you recall, this subtheme began in 2020 and introduced us to LEGO’s first-ever microdolls, together with a buildable set that doubles as a collectible brick-built storybook.  And for this year, we can expect to see another set added to this collection: the LEGO Disney Peter Pan & Wendy’s Storybook Adventure (43220).

LEGO Disney Peter Pan & Wendy's Storybook Adventure

Lucky Bricks have already enlisted this on their website, with a release date of March 1, 2023. The set is based on Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of its classic 1954 animated film which will be exclusively streamed over at Disney+ sometime this year. The box art also features the artists behind the main characters themselves: Alexander Molony playing the role of Peter Pan, and Ever Anderson as Wendy. Not included in the box art is Jude Law who will be playing the titular role of Captain Hook. But to his credit, his character is now getting his first-ever LEGO microdoll rendition, this being the second time LEGO giving the spotlight to this iconic Disney villain. The first time we see Captain Hook getting a LEGO treatment is when he was first introduced as a collectible minifigure in LEGO Disney Collectible Minifigures (71012) back in 2016.

Coming in at 111 pieces, this upcoming set is expected to retail at around 16 Euros or $17 once it makes its debut at LEGO.com. I’ll keep you posted once the set is listed over LEGO’s home shopping portal, but for now, take a look at its product images. Special thanks to Brickset for the heads-up.

New LEGO Ninjago Summer 2023 Mech First Set Image Spotted Online

It seems that more information about the LEGO Ninjago Summer 2023 mech and sets will be out anytime soon as our first image from this upcoming wave has surfaced online. In a now-deleted Facebook post, LEGO’s Czechoslovakia presumably posted an image of a new LEGO Ninjago Mech that will be part of the theme’s Summer 2023 collection.

This upcoming set is rumored to be the LEGO Ninjago Lloyd & Arin’s Ninja Team Mechs (71794) and is expected to comprise of 764 pieces retailing for 80 Euros.  It features two mech builds, the larger one looking similar to 2018’s Oni Titan (70658) in terms of height and headgear. I like the more sleek appearance of this build, with the brick-built mech wielding a bladed staff instead of twin blades. The legs and feet were even designed to make it more similar to the gear worn by ancient Japanese warriors, with wooden clogs to accentuate its oriental origins. Check out the photo of this upcoming LEGO Ninjago Summer 2023 mech.

71794

The smaller yellow build follows a similar aesthetic and seems to function as a support mech for Lloyd’s battle-ready robot suit. From the looks of it, the set will feature five minifigures but it’s quite difficult to identify the other three characters from the quality of the photo.

As I’ve mentioned, the original Facebook post was removed by the author eventually. But thanks to other LEGO fan blogs like Jay’s Brick Blog, we are now able to catch a glimpse of what to expect from LEGO Ninjago’s Summer 2023 wave.

Additionally, Pricevortex managed to include the names of the sets included in this next series of LEGO Ninjago Summer 2023 mech sets which is expected to arrive in June. To be more accurate, these names have been floating on the Internet since late December of last year. Check out this list together with their expected number of pieces and retail price.

I’ll keep you posted once official images and product descriptions of these LEGO Ninjago Summer 2023 mech sets are in order.

LEGO Ideas BTS Dynamite (21339)  Lights Up the Internet

It’s now official. After sending the internet ablaze with a teaser a couple of days ago, the LEGO Group pays tribute to the global K-pop sensation, BTS, by announcing the LEGO Ideas BTS Dynamite (21339) set scheduled to be released on March 1, 2023. Conceptualized by LEGO fan designer Josh Bretz, the set features the seven-member Korean band in their megahit music video Dynamite which reached more than one billion views in less than eight months when it was uploaded in August of 2020.

The LEGO Ideas BTS Dynamite (21339) immortalizes in LEGO minifigure form all of the band’s members as they are seen in their music video. The set includes RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook each with microphone elements.

The play-and-display LEGO Ideas BTS set offers a brick-built version of the studio they worked with which includes a disco, record store, donut shop, ice cream truck, basketball hoop, and more.
