In 2022, through a collaboration with the US retail giant Target, the LEGO Ideas Design Team delved into their vault of 10K Club submissions that had previously missed the mark. They then presented three exceptional creations to the LEGO community for a fan vote, where the winning design would become a reality. The LEGO Ideas Viking Village emerged as the clear favorite, garnering an impressive 16,000 votes to secure its path to production.

However, the inspiration behind this set was first born in his history studies at the university. His interests focused more on the Norman conquest of 1066 and its impact on Anglo-Saxon society. As he immersed himself in books about Norman culture and its Danish Viking origins, a spark of creative inspiration led to the birth of this stunning LEGO Ideas Viking Village masterpiece.
