Coming in at 152 pieces, the LEGO Year of the Pig (40186) is a fun, comical build that packs a couple of play features such as posable ears and eyes and a movable tail. Its a must for every collector of LEGO’s Chinese New Year seasonal sets, but in case you want to try and build your own using LEGO pieces that you may already have, the building instructions for the Year of the Pig (40186) is now available online. The parts seem to be pretty common, except for the unique circular pig nose tile that is exclusive to this set, so I guess you have to improvise on this one.

The LEGO BrickHeadz Bumble Bee (40270) Is Buzzing Again This Time As a LEGO Store Promotional

Have you ever wondered how to build a LEGO set in space – in zero G? Well, I guess most of us will never find out personally, but thanks to a promotional video recently released by LEGO, we can have a slight idea on how we can pull it out. Building a LEGO set in zero gravity might sound like an impossible task, but former NASA astronaut Mike Massimino shows us how it is done as if it’s just like a walk in the park. Watch this.

I was absolutely baffled when Mike unboxed the LEGO City Mars Research Shuttle (60226) and casually ripped the bags sending the LEGO pieces flying off in all directions. My first thought was, “How can you possibly get all of those LEGO pieces in such a situation?”. The next frame is quite hilarious – Mike simply and calmly browses the building instructions amidst a flurry of LEGO bricks flying all around him. The next scene shows him slowly putting it all together piece by piece. I just love that shot when all the LEGO pieces were on the floor and it suddenly rises as their plane takes a dip. The finished LEGO space shuttle is a perfect build for this promotional video – a LEGO set indeed built for zero gravity.

LEGO Star Wars Battle of Endor 20th Anniversary Edition (40362) Revealed!

This year’s Triple Force Friday LEGO gift-with-purchase (GWP) set has now been revealed. Following the news of what to expect from this grand Star Wars sales event, we now have official images of the LEGO Star Wars Battle of Endor 20th Anniversary Edition (40362), slated to be released as an October 4 promotional. Taking its cue from May the 4th’s LEGO Star Wars Battle of Hoth 20th Anniversary Edition (40333) released earlier this year, this latest GWP also captures in mini-scale, diorama format one of the most memorable scenes in the Star Wars film franchise.

The Battle of Endor 20th Anniversary Edition (40362) features all the familiar elements and characters of this iconic Episode VI battle. We have a couple of AT-STs and a bunker amidst a foliage of brick-built trees and shrubs. The white studs I assume are the rebels, while Chewbacca (?) is represented by two brown studs.

Here’s LEGO’s official statement about this GWP set.

“Celebrate the Triple Force Friday and the 20th anniversary of the LEGO Star Wars construction toys with the awesome Battle of Endor scene from Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi with the AT-ST Runners and mini models of the Speeder Bikes. “

Well, according to this statement there should be Speeder Bikes included in this diorama, though I really can’t exactly point my finger to it based on these images. Similar to its predecessor, this set also includes the exclusive 20 Years of LEGO Star Wars 2×4 tile prominently displayed in front of the set. One thing that I also notice other than the lack of Speeder Bikes in these images is the missing 20 Years of LEGO Star Wars logo on the box art. Its kind of weird to include a GWP set that proudly features an exclusive anniversary tile without including the logo on the box art itself. If you recall, the rest of the LEGO Star Wars 20th anniversary sets prominently displays this logo on its boxes, so I hope to see this on the Battle of Endor 20th Anniversary Edition (40362) box art as well.

It is also highly probable that this free gift which comes at 197 pieces, will be available for every single-receipt purchase of LEGO Star Wars product worth $75 USD and more. It’s a great freebie if you’re looking forward to purchasing any of the upcoming LEGO Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker sets, or the LEGO Star Wars UCS Imperial Star Destroyer (75252).

Here’s What LEGO Star Wars Fans Can Expect From Triple Force Friday

LEGO is now preparing for Star Wars mania once again. After this year’s successful May the 4th promos, LEGO and Disney and gearing up once again for this fall’s grandest introduction of its latest LEGO Star Wars merchandise. Dubbed as Triple Force Friday, LEGO is expected to feature not just the rumored LEGO Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker sets, but may also add one or two sets related to the Disney+ series The Mandalorian and EA and Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order video game. It’s a global three-in-one celebration that LEGO will not surely miss on.

According to StarWars.com, a range of Star Wars related merchandise will go on sale (LEGO included) beginning at 12:01 AM of October 4, Friday. In-store events are also lined up to mark the occasion similar to what it did with last year’s Force Friday celebrations.

To top it off, Disney is also capitalizing on Triple Force Friday to also launch another of its widely known franchise. Frozen 2 is slated to hit theaters on November 22, but not until a barrage of film-related merchandise is launched together with that from Star Wars. According to Ken Potrock, president of consumer products commercialization over at Disney,

“This is truly an epic moment for fans, families and retailers as products for two of the biggest-ever entertainment franchises hit shelves simultaneously. We’ll be working with our partners to create suitably spectacular celebrations for each, in line with the excitement and anticipation of the legions of Star Wars and Frozen fans around the globe.”

Disney and LEGO are definitely doubling down on its product reveals come Triple Force Friday. Needless to say, LEGO is also expected to release its new LEGO Disney Frozen 2 building sets also on October 4th. We’re just counting the weeks before this year’s grandest LEGO and Disney event goes live. UPDATE: Here Are More Details On How to Get the LEGO Hidden Side Newbury Juice Bar (40336)

Last month, we saw that the new LEGO Hidden Side theme will also be getting its first promotional set. We shared several images of the LEGO Hidden Side Newbury Juice Bar (40336) – a still yet to be announced freebie for fans of this new augmented reality sets. Thanks to some insider info shared by The Brick Fan, we now have an idea on when this gift-with-purchase set will be available.

According to a tip received by Allen, it can be expected that the Newbury Juice Bar (40336) will be available in LEGO Stores and online sometime between September 2 to 15 with a minimum, single receipt purchase worth $50 and above. We’re not sure yet if purchases are limited to Hidden Side sets only, or it’s based on any set purchase or LEGO merchandise. My hunch is that it’s limited to purchase of LEGO Hidden Side sets which is the most reasonable way to obtain this freebie.

UPDATE (Aug. 25, 2019): According to a follow-up report by The Brick Fan, it seems that the LEGO Hidden Side Newbury Juice Bar (40336) will be available as a gift-for-purchase set for a minimum single-receipt purchase of ANY LEGO merchandise worth $50 USD and above. This means that this promotional set is not necessarily limited to LEGO Hidden Side purchases. We’ll have to wait until next week to see if this will be the case.

The LEGO Hidden Side Newbury Juice Bar (40336) comes in at 127 pieces and features two minifigures: Parker and a Street Vendor. Like the rest of the Hidden Side sets, the Newbury Juice Bar also comes with a surprisingly fun play feature that allows this innocent-looking juice bar to transform into a monstrous refreshment stand. Hopefully like in the same case of the LEGO Star Wars Mini Droid Commander GWP, we will see more details about this promotional once the LEGO Store September Calendar rolls out. LEGO Star Wars Mini Droid Commander Promotional Coming in September

From the looks of things, there is another gift-with-purchase (GWP) set slated to be released next month to add to your LEGO Star Wars collections. If you recall earlier in April, we saw this year’s first LEGO Star Wars GWP in the form of the mini Battle of Hoth 20th Anniversary (40333) promotional set. The set features the exclusive 20 Years of LEGO Star Wars promotional tile piece, plus a nice micro-scaled build of an AT-AT and a pair of Snowspeeders. As it seems, another LEGO Star Wars GWP is on its way to LEGO Stores according to a report from Stonewars. The source of the info came from an Instagram post of what seems to be a snapshot from a LEGO Store promotional flyer highlighting the LEGO Star Wars Mini Droid Commander.

The LEGO Star Wars Mini Droid Commander can easily pass for a polybag promo coming in at approximately 40+ pieces. It features an R2-D2 minifigure, plus microbuilds of a Gonk and Mouse Droid figures atop of a brick-built platform. Similar to the Battle of Hoth 20th Anniversary set, the Mini Droid Commander also sports the exclusive commemorative tile which truly makes this microbuild standout. It’s a great display set especially if you happen to purchase its larger counterpart the LEGO Star Wars Droid Commander (75253). LEGO Star Wars 20th Anniversary Obi-Wan Kenobi Collectible Minifigure Revealed

Following the reveal of the LEGO Star Wars 2oth Anniversary Podracer (30461) and Snowspeeder (30384) polybags, fans can expect another collectible that celebrates 20 years of LEGO Star Wars. Thanks to a local eBay listing, we now have a look at the LEGO Star Wars 20th Anniversary Obi-Wan Kenobi Collectible Minifigure (30624) expected to arrive anytime soon.

This next LEGO Star Wars collectible takes its cue from the first Obi-Wan minifigure that was released in LEGO Star Wars Landspeeder (7110) from 1999. It also comes with a buildable stand featuring a printed base with the exclusive 20 Years of LEGO Star Wars logo. This is similar to other collectible minifigures included in the line-up LEGO Star Wars 20th Anniversary sets.

We have no other info as of press time regarding the availability of this polybag, but Toys N Bricks surmise that this Obi-Wan Kenobi Collectible Minifigure (30624) may be available as an upcoming LEGO promo. LEGO in the past has similarly released several related promotional CMFs including the Han Solo Mudtrooper (40300), DJ (40298) from The Last Jedi subtheme, and the Scariff Stormtrooper (40176) and R3-M2 (40268) both from Rogue One. All of these minifigs were given away for free for qualifying LEGO purchases worth $30 to $50 USD. So it is not far-fetched to consider if this Obi-Wan collectible will have the same treatment.
