After spotting a pair of new LEGO BrickHeadz Star Wars set on Target shelves, it looks like more slip-ups have led to more LEGO Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker sets turning up ahead of their scheduled release dates. Instagram user jl.lego.studios has spotted another set that most fans hail as one of the better LEGO Star Wars sets out there.
First, off we have this first image of the LEGO Star Wars Kylo Ren’s Shuttle (75256) – one of the larger LEGO Star Wars sets in The Rise of the Skywalker subtheme. Retailing for $149.99 USD, this set comes in at 1,005 pieces and includes six minifigures: Kylo Ren, General Pryde, a Sith Trooper, a First Order Stormtrooper and two Knights of Ren. Though this new iteration does not have much of a difference from its 2015 predecessor in Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle (75104), the new color scheme and the inclusion of uniquely designed minifigs such as the Knights of Ren, makes the newer version more attractive to LEGO Star Wars fans.
Second, we have the LEGO Star Wars Pasaana Speeder Chase (75250) coming in at 373 pieces and will retail for $39.99 USD. The set features a sort of a chase scene where Rey is aboard on what looks like a dilapitated speeder pursued by the forces of the First Order. The scene also takes place in the desert planet of Pasaana. The set includes a new minifigure iteration of Rey, a First Order Treadspeeder Driver, a First Order Jet Trooper and BB-8.
If there is anything good that we can get out of this store mishap is the fact that we can expect to see these and other LEGO Star Wars The Rise of Skywalkers sets to be available anytime soon on or before October 4. This may no longer be new to you knowing that leaks about the rest of the sets in this series have already gone out like wildfire over the internet several weeks ago. If you’re a LEGO Star Wars completionists, or just keen on eyeing some of the LEGO Star Wars sets that were released recently, then you might need to consider planning your next LEGO purchase. Star Wars insider Rebelscum shared a reliable piece of info that you might find interesting, if not necessary in building your LEGO collection. We all know for a fact that LEGO sets have a certain “shelf life” in terms of their availability in LEGO stores and in the market in general. Approximately, LEGO sets are available to the public and are included in the LEGO production cue for up to 2 years. And according to Rebelscum’s sources including info from RetiringSets.com, the following are retiring LEGO Star Wars sets that you may want to keep an eye on if you are looking forward to having them to your collection.
The first Master Builder set, the LEGO Star Wars Betrayal at Cloud City (75222) is due for retirement in December of this year.
Though yet to be confirmed, do take note that the retirement of these sets is said to commence in December until the later part of 2021. So if you’re still looking forward to having the largest LEGO set around, then you still have until December next year to gather the determination (and cash) to make that purchase. The LEGO Store September 2019 Calendar is now up online and we can see a handful of promotional events that you may want to catch on with. From Hidden Side goodies to buzzin’ BrickHeadz, there’s a lot to take away from the LEGO Store this month. Let’s break down each of them.

I already reported that this latest freebie from the Hidden Side theme will soon arrive next month, though we haven’t had a clue on the promo mechanics of how to avail it. Thankfully, the LEGO Store September 2019 calendar finally confirms how we can avail the Newbury Juice Bar (40336). Every single-receipt purchase of any LEGO merchandise from equivalent to $50 USD and above entitles you to bring home this freebie. This promotional will run from September 2 to 15, or until supplies last. It was previously thought that this promotional set is only limited to any LEGO Hidden Side purchase, but it’s a good thing that it applies to any LEGO merchandise as well.
Free LEGO Storage Bucket (5005630)
From reversible canvas bags to picnic blankets, LEGO seems intent to provide us an array of outdoor accessories with this next offer. From September 23 to 28, LEGO fans with purchases over $100 USD will receive a free LEGO Storage Bucket (5005630) while supplies last. It’s a great way to bring with your LEGO sets to the park or at the beach for some outdoor fun. Just be sure you don’t mix it up with your snacks.

I saw this promotional ad appear in my email just a few moments ago, and it’s nice of LEGO of throwing in last year’s seasonal LEGO BrickHeadz Bumble Bee (40270). In case you missed this set, this can be added to your shopping cart for free for any purchase of any LEGO merchandise or set totaling $65 USD and more. This promo began yesterday and will run until September 8 or until supplies last.
In-Store Make and Take Triceratops
It seems that LEGO Stores are still continuing the tradition of offering Monthly Mini Builds, in one form or another. Be sure to visit your local LEGO brand store on September 18 to build your very own Triceratops. Like previous make-and-take events, this building event has limited space and pre-registration is required which will begin on September 5 in stores only. This activity is intended for younger LEGO fans ages 6 to 14, and build dates may vary from store to store so be sure to get in touch with your local brick specialist for more details.
Wanted: Ghost Hunters!
For the entire month of September, from September 2 to October 3, join Professor J.B.’s team and build a ghost-hunting vehicle. While you’re at the LEGO Store, you’ll also get a chance to try the augmented reality (AR) play features that the LEGO Hidden Side sets have to offer.
LEGO Life Meeting: Batman’s 80th Anniversary
Mark your calendars on September 21 because this next LEGO Life meeting is quite a unique one. This month, LEGO Stores will be celebrating Batman’s 80th anniversary with a fun Bat-Vehicle and villain getaway car build. Adult fans also get to try and build their own Bat-Vehicle starting at 3PM. You’ll also get a chance to win a $50 USD LEGO Store gift card by uploading your creation using the LEGO Life app. Be sure to sign-up on September 5 though since this event has limited space as well.
The month of September also marks the general release of the exciting LEGO Disney Train (71044). Featuring LEGO’s latest Powered Up technology, this set comes with its own control hub and motor that can be controlled remotely using the LEGO Powered Up app, in any mobile device. This set comes in at 2,925 pieces and retails for $329.99 USD.
Another set slated to be released on September 1st is the LEGO Ideas Central Perk (21319). Taking inspiration from the hit 90s TV show, this building set includes all the main characters from the FRIENDS sitcom including Ross Geller, Rachel Green, Chandler Bing, Monica Geller, Joey Tribbiani, Phoebe Buffay and Gunther.
These were not mentioned in the LEGO Store September 2019 calendar, but be on the lookout for the LEGO Year of the Pig (40186) promotional for every qualifying purchase of the seasonal LEGO Dragon Boat Race (80103). If you recall, the Year of the Pig set was first offered at the start of this year as a New Year seasonal set, and it’s a good thing that its returning as a promotional item once again. The LEGO Star Wars Mini Droid Commander gift-with-purchase set was also missing from the store calendar, but I’m pretty sure that it will pop-up as a freebie anytime soon in September.

The LEGO Year of the Pig (40186) came as a freebie for every single-receipt purchase of any LEGO products worth $88 USD and above. It had a short run though, as it was only offered in stores and at shop.LEGO.com only for just a week.
This gift-with-purchase follows LEGO’s New Year tradition of offering promotional sets that follows the Chinese zodiac calendar. And if in case you missed out on this opportunity to add this to your shopping bag back then, you’ll be glad to know that here’s your chance to bring home one. Coming in at 152 pieces, the LEGO Year of the Pig (40186) is a fun, comical build that packs a couple of play features such as posable ears and eyes and a movable tail. Its a must for every collector of LEGO’s Chinese New Year seasonal sets, but in case you want to try and build your own using LEGO pieces that you may already have, the building instructions for the Year of the Pig (40186) is now available online. The parts seem to be pretty common, except for the unique circular pig nose tile that is exclusive to this set, so I guess you have to improvise on this one.

This year’s Triple Force Friday LEGO gift-with-purchase (GWP) set has now been revealed. Following the news of what to expect from this grand Star Wars sales event, we now have official images of the LEGO Star Wars Battle of Endor 20th Anniversary Edition (40362), slated to be released as an October 4 promotional. Taking its cue from May the 4th’s LEGO Star Wars Battle of Hoth 20th Anniversary Edition (40333) released earlier this year, this latest GWP also captures in mini-scale, diorama format one of the most memorable scenes in the Star Wars film franchise.
The Battle of Endor 20th Anniversary Edition (40362) features all the familiar elements and characters of this iconic Episode VI battle. We have a couple of AT-STs and a bunker amidst a foliage of brick-built trees and shrubs. The white studs I assume are the rebels, while Chewbacca (?) is represented by two brown studs.
Here’s LEGO’s official statement about this GWP set.
“Celebrate the Triple Force Friday and the 20th anniversary of the LEGO Star Wars construction toys with the awesome Battle of Endor scene from Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi with the AT-ST Runners and mini models of the Speeder Bikes. “
Well, according to this statement there should be Speeder Bikes included in this diorama, though I really can’t exactly point my finger to it based on these images. Similar to its predecessor, this set also includes the exclusive 20 Years of LEGO Star Wars 2×4 tile prominently displayed in front of the set. One thing that I also notice other than the lack of Speeder Bikes in these images is the missing 20 Years of LEGO Star Wars logo on the box art. Its kind of weird to include a GWP set that proudly features an exclusive anniversary tile without including the logo on the box art itself. If you recall, the rest of the LEGO Star Wars 20th anniversary sets prominently displays this logo on its boxes, so I hope to see this on the Battle of Endor 20th Anniversary Edition (40362) box art as well.
It is also highly probable that this free gift which comes at 197 pieces, will be available for every single-receipt purchase of LEGO Star Wars product worth $75 USD and more. It’s a great freebie if you’re looking forward to purchasing any of the upcoming LEGO Star Wars The Rise of Skywalkersets, or the LEGO Star Wars UCS Imperial Star Destroyer (75252).

LEGO is now preparing for Star Wars mania once again. After this year’s successful May the 4th promos, LEGO and Disney and gearing up once again for this fall’s grandest introduction of its latest LEGO Star Wars merchandise. Dubbed as Triple Force Friday, LEGO is expected to feature not just the rumored LEGO Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker sets, but may also add one or two sets related to the Disney+ series The Mandalorian and EA and Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order video game. It’s a global three-in-one celebration that LEGO will not surely miss on.
According to StarWars.com, a range of Star Wars related merchandise will go on sale (LEGO included) beginning at 12:01 AM of October 4, Friday. In-store events are also lined up to mark the occasion similar to what it did with last year’s Force Friday celebrations.

To top it off, Disney is also capitalizing on Triple Force Friday to also launch another of its widely known franchise. Frozen 2 is slated to hit theaters on November 22, but not until a barrage of film-related merchandise is launched together with that from Star Wars. According to Ken Potrock, president of consumer products commercialization over at Disney,
“This is truly an epic moment for fans, families and retailers as products for two of the biggest-ever entertainment franchises hit shelves simultaneously. We’ll be working with our partners to create suitably spectacular celebrations for each, in line with the excitement and anticipation of the legions of Star Wars and Frozen fans around the globe.”
Disney and LEGO are definitely doubling down on its product reveals come Triple Force Friday. Needless to say, LEGO is also expected to release its new LEGO Disney Frozen 2 building sets also on October 4th. We’re just counting the weeks before this year’s grandest LEGO and Disney event goes live.
