The year 2022 is soon to go into its final stretch of four months. While there are still more LEGO sets due to come out at this time, LEGO’s started hinting about the future. At least, set numbers and even set names for 2023 releases have started circulating online. Case in point, Promobricks.de has some news on possible LEGO Technic sets for next year. Interestingly, this includes on Technic set that was supposed to launch this 2022. The new word is that the Liebherr LR 1300 (42146) epic is now a 2023 release. Anyway, here’s what to expect for the Technic line come next year.

Possible 2023 LEGO Technic Sets to Watch Out For

• Liebherr LR 1300 (42146)
• Dump Truck (42147)
• Snowcat (42148)
• Monster Jam Dragon (42149)
• Monster Jam Monster Mutt Dalmatian (42150)
• Bugatti Bolide (42151)
• Firefighter Plane (42152)
• NASCAR Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 (42153)
• 2022 Ford GT (42154)
• The Batman Batcycle (42155)
• Peugeot 9X8 Hypercar (42156)

One notable entry for LEGO Technic 2023 is the Batcycle (42155). Apparently, it’ll be the same vehicle from DC-Warner Bros.’ “The Batman” which premiered this past March. And we’ll be getting another blue Bugatti beauty for Technic, a worthy successor to the Chiron (42083). Maybe we’ll get a life-sized version of it too? Who knows. As for the above listed Technic sets, we’ll have to wait until later this year at the earliest for more details.

Some LEGO collectors surely wait for upcoming sets to be featured with official product listings on the LEGO.com Shop. There’s nothing quite like the finality of those entries with detailed info, specs and product blurbs. Granted, these reveals aren’t instantaneous. Sometimes third-party retailers list their new LEGO items first. Or maybe we just get images on social media. LEGO’s done that too, like with two of their upcoming Technic sets now. Where to find these teaser pictures? As The Brick Fan has it, they’re on the LEGO.com Kids website. And they’re both quite mind-blowingly awesome.

These images and more can be seen in preview listings for LEGO Technic in LEGO.com for Kids. There are no box photos yet. But we do get cool action visuals of the Material Handler (42144) and Airbus H175 Rescue Helicopter (42145). And because they’re built in the LEGO Technic system, one can’t help but gush at how “real” they look.

You probably agree after seeing these pictures too. Now the wait for their product listings on the main LEGO.com site feels a bit more cliff-hanging. Thankfully these upcoming LEGO Technic sets are earmarked for summer this year. We’ll probably get more official word soon enough.

Right as January came to an end, we’ve been seeing a flood of details for upcoming LEGO sets. Among the fairly recent online product listings are the first items for LEGO Technic this 2022, due in March. Some of these Technic sets got the spotlight in the late 2021 LEGO product catalog. We have however seen rumors of these sets (number and name) as early as September–October last year. And some of those sets have yet to be officially revealed. That’s true of one Technic set until this past weekend, after a LEGO teaser on social media according to Promobricks.

LEGO’s Twitter page posted an image of two vehicles covered in canvas Friday last week. From the contours of both and the size of one, they’re obviously a Formula-1 racecar and its Technic counterpart. Now LEGO confirms in a product listing that this is Technic set 42141, the McLaren Formula 1 Race Car. To be precise, this is the MCL36 F1 racer that McLaren will be unveiling this Friday, February 11. It’s fitting that the Technic version will launch the month following the real thing’s unveiling. Expect the Technic McLaren F1 Racecar (42141) in March 1 alongside the other Technic 2022 sets. Here’re the details:

McLaren Formula 1 Race Car (42141)

Over the past weekend and into this week, LEGO has been busy adding product listings for upcoming sets. We’ve already covered some of these for the Speed Champions theme. Now, we have official listings for several LEGO Technic sets first viewed in LEGO’s 2022 catalogs late last year. The most recent updates on these products before LEGO’s own came from German retailer JB Spielwaren. We caught up on some of those listings too for the Creator 3-in-1 sub-line.
